He happily worked within my budget and time frame and the workmanship on the finished product was fantastic. I had a very old, sentimental diamond ring which I had previously taken to two other jewellers in Brisbane to have some slight alterations made. Neither of those jewellers had done what I asked for, and instead, they created additional problems and left my ring looking nothing like the design I had showed them. After reading some great reviews about Stephen Dibb Jewellery, I decided to take my ring into the Holland Park store to ask whether or not it could be fixed. I met with Richelle who took the time to really listen to what I wanted, gave her honest opinion and was optimistic that she could help me. Today I went in to collect my ring and I am beyond happy with the finished product! Richelle has done a fantastic job, it is obvious that she is a perfectionist and is amazing at what she does. I’m pretty picky, especially with things that have sentimental value and mean a lot to me, and I cannot fault her work. Finally, my ring looks beautiful and exactly how I wanted it to look! What I loved about our experience at Kimmison Jewellery was that it was all about us! From the moment we met Kim she was wanted to understand what we wanted in our wedding rings and how we wanted to celebrate the day. There was no pressure, we felt relaxed about the budget we’d set for ourselves and we really enjoyed the process of choosing a design for the wedding ring and selecting a band. The stone was a very high quality, the setting brought out the unique and beautiful colour, and the overall experience was effortless. In addition to buying wedding rings, my husband cheekily arranged for a tanzanite stone to be made into a necklace for me. Philip knew exactly how a soft stone like this needed to be protected and how to bring out the unique clarity.

I happily wandered into Phil and Kim's beautiful store when window shopping Brisbane's jewelers - now a few months later, I have the engagement ring of my dreams. Kimmison Jewellery were one of only a couple of Brisbane jewelers that I had found that worked with Australian Parti sapphires, and by far had the biggest, most mesmerizing range of high quality coloured gemstones I have seen. From the get go, Kim was not only as invested as I was in finding 'THE stone' to go in 'THE ring', but also was genuinely interested in the love story between my now fiancé and I. When we discussed my initial design concept, she presented so many wonderful, guiding ideas and with each 'what if we tried this' the ring got better and better. All through the making process, Kim and Phil were very prompt with communication and design amendments, but did not cut any corners in the quality of their service or ]work. Now, I am absolutely blown away by how beautiful my engagement ring is; it is so much better than I could have ever imagined, bringing out the absolute best in my beautiful central Queensland parti sapphire. I get distracted every time it catches my eye, and I’m not ashamed to admit that have spent the better part of an hour every day marveling at it. I am so impressed by the quality of Phil's craftsmanship - the ring is incredibly comfortable, hasn’t caught on anything, feels so secure – it fits me perfectly. My fiancé was referred to Kim from a friend when he was on the hunt to find my ring. He told me the process from start to finish was impeccable - the care, the help in choosing the perfect finish and the updates throughout the process were 10/10. I had no idea the propsal was happening, and when he opened the box to ask I was blown away. The ring that he chose was absolutely stunning and I can already tell the quality of the diamond is incredible. We had a slight issue with the ring after a week but this was rectified straight away. We couldn’t be happier with the result and will definitely return to get our bands for our big day.

Where to begin...Sorry this is a bit long but the experience from the very start was amazing and I want to tell the internet all about it. Kim made us feel so welcome and at ease. From the initial email enquiry Kim was super friendly and prompt in responding with information and she was patient with my partner and I when we visited the studio (particularly when I asked to look at so many of the lovely loose gems and try different configurations for a custom ring, so many lovely sparkly things to look at!). Kim's knowledge on the different qualities of stones (hardness, origin etc) guided us in making our decisions. When I decided to swap out one of the stones Kim was so patient in going through more stones and combinations again with us, all the while wanting to ensure I was 100% happy with my choices and going to love my custom piece. Kim and Phil were kind in rushing our order through as we needed my ring for a particular date and hadn't allowed much lead time. The digital mock ups were really great and informative so we felt comfortable giving the green light to proceed. Now we get to the part where we collect the finished ring - it was even better than I expected. The digital mock up didn't do it justice and having never done this before, I was a little unsure on the whole process but I LOVE my ring and want everyone to know how fabulous Kimmison Jewellery is. I will definitely be visiting Kim and Phil again and I look forward to having other special pieces made in the future. My husband and I were gifted some diamonds which had previously belonged to his mother before she had passed away.
