The Original Aurelio's Pizza! Since 1959, this Pizza joint has been serving up delicious mouth watering food! The SAUCE is Amazing! The Antipasto Salad is so good with Italian dressing. Also if You're not full after dinner, try the Big Cookie and I garentee You won't be disappointed. We Love going to the Homewood Aurelios because the atmosphere is very positive. Tell em Joe sent Ya!

Homewood Aurelios is the original and by far the best! The pizza is amazing! The atmosphere is classic and cozy. The pizza is thin, crispy, with a delicious sauce and great variety of mozzarella. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The quality and integrity have not wavered. A must try!

The sausage and pepperoni thin crust pizza was amazing. We ordered a medium one for two people and took some home. We didn't have a reservation, so we sat at the bar and didn't have to wait.

Me and my family had a blast and the pizza was unreal! Nobody has pizza like Aurelio’s!

They did not cook the personalize pizza, fries or wings and burnt the family pizza, when I called management they tried covering it up, had to call corporate for resolution. Management shared my personal information, (shared my address and card info) they called my job accusing me of lying of my order being wrong, they harassed me and I feel as they Intentionally tried to poison my family and I, be careful with this establishment because they will let their employees tamper with the food and look the other way, south holland location is cleaner and better food portions for price.

Stopped in while in town. Always my favorite locally owned pizza spot. Been coming here for 35yrs. Hasn't changed since I've moved. Greatest pizza spot. The old oven adds that extra touch!

I’d like to first warn everyone that the parking situation may come across as difficult when finding where to park for the main entrance. Don’t let that discourage you, though! This pizza spot is definitely worth it! Upon walking in, I felt like I climbed back in time, even farther than the year I was born. My significant other and I were seated at a table in pretty much a central spot of the restaurant. By the way, this place is fairly large! I ordered a Diet Pepsi Soft Drink 20 OZ and she ordered a Diet Pepsi. I ordered an Individual Dinner Salad with Aurelio’s House Dressing. The salad included Fresh and crisp iceberg and romaine lettuce topped with tomato, cucumber, red onion, diced red peppers, and herbed croutons. We ordered a MD 13” Thin Crust number 12 Pizza, which is a Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza. They label different combinations on a numbering system here. I thought that was a cool concept. The Pepsi was very sweet. The Diet Pepsi was smooth. Both drinks were great in their own way and they came with free refills. The salad came out fast and it was a decent size. The ingredients were fresh. The dressing paired well with the toppings. I enjoyed the salad. It was definitely a healthy start to what was to come next. The pizza came out not long after the salad. It was beautiful! I could tell by the looks of it that it was going to be amazing. In this case, I judged a book by its cover. It’s a good thing I ended up being right! It was just so dang good. The sauce really did drag me in. The crust was fantastic. Everything about this pizza was perfect to me. The service we received was prompt throughout our visit. I give our waitress five stars. Overall, this pizza joint isn’t too far from me and the quality they brought to the table will have me coming back time and time again. The environment was both casual and relaxing. I was impressed and I think plenty of others will be in the future as well. Try them out if you’re a lover of pizza! Date of visit: 2/15/23

This is my first stop flying in from Tuscon when I visit with family and friends. When ordering pizza, make sure you ask for the pizza to be cooked in the old oven. Huge difference. Yummy!!!

Sat.the29 2023 Hadn't been to Aurelio's in Homewood in 2 years But we have been going there since 1965. My wife and I are in are early 80"s and always have love their pizza. But yesterday it was bad !!! We orderde 13inch thin half sausage and the other half cheese unions peppers, when the waitress brought our pizza She said oh this is not sausage this is pepperoni let me go fine yours ? when she came back she said no this is yours I should of sent it back but I didn't we were hungry. I still can't figure out how My wife half was fine but my half was burnt and what sausage was on it look like little clumps of dog food spread very thin. I am thinking that they were so busy they may have run out of sausage. But how could one side be good and the other burned ?

Seen better days. Happy with breaded mushrooms. Orderd 4 pizzas a couple different sizes. Wanted leftovers and we had people with different tastes. All the crust was underdone. The taco pizza lettuce smelled like plastic. The sausage pizza was like a meat lovers, I get some people would like that but it was too much. We liked our server very attentive. We really liked her after we heard a different employee while in the bathroom, pull up her pants and walk right out of bathroom not washing her hands. I don't think I'll be back for a while because of this.

Great pizza and great service! The restaurant remains loyal to it's heritage from when it opened in 1959. It's dark inside some would say a little "dingy" but it's a great family restaurant. Plenty of parking on the north and south side of the building. The north parking is closest to the entrance. There is 3 floors of seating and it is divided into separate rooms. So even if the restaurant is packed it still doesn't seem too loud. Plenty of nostalgia all over the place that is so fun to look at.

Didn't dine in, but walked in the wrong way for a pickup order and got to see a good chunk of the venue. It's way bigger than I thought. It has a really homey italian pizzeria rustic vibe to it. I actually want to dine in to enjoy the full vibe. I haven't done that in years! Pizza itself was baked to perfection. I'm definitely coming back to done in! Also, if you haven't before, download their rewards program. I had a personal 6" 2 topping pizza and cookie for $0 ($10 credit -(200 points)). Can't beat that!

Probably the best pizza place in the world! Been going here for 46 years....I am a lifer.... fiesta thin crust sausage with extra sauce old oven extra crispy.....side of ranch occasionally. This restaurant in Homewood needs to be on the historical preservation list for the South Suburbs of Chicago. Pizza lovers you can't go wrong. Pilgrimage worthy.

I ordered to go but upon entering the building, I noticed nice, classic pizza joint ambience. The pizza is kind of pricey for a family size, The carryout entrance was a little difficult to find at night and being a first timer. I parked at the first parking lot I saw and had a bit of a walk to get to the entrance. The staff was friendly and helpful, they even offered to carry my food to the car since I had a sleeping toddler in my arms. The pizza.... let me first say I'm not a "Chicago style" pizza fan. I ordered thick crust and boy was it thick.. southern style biscuit thick, which took away from the toppings and sauce, I barely tasted them, but seemed flavorful, would've been better on a thin crust. The cheesesticks and fried mushrooms.. *chefs kiss*, they were delicious!! Would visit again and give the thin crust a try.

This place is part of the reason why I'm fat. I love their food and can't get enough of it. I've been to other Aurelios but nothing beats the original! Been coming here literally for decades & always look forward to it.

My family's favorite; been eating their pizza for over 50 years! Best pizza in Chicago. It truly IS the sauce, and the cheese combination. Our favorite salad, too. Other locations are fine, but nothing beats the Mother Ship.

When I say this is the best pizza in the world, I mean every word of it. The fiesta sausage & cheese is literally to die for. Our whole family DEVOURS it!!!!! And you gotta come to Homewood since this is the original.

Don't let anyone fool you and tell you that the Homewood location is not THE original Aurelios. It is the original and there is no better experience than getting the opportunity to come in and eat here in-person. If the pizza is boxed up and delivered to your home... completely changes everything! Still top notch but for some reason, eating in-house is on a whole other level. Keep up the good work Homewood👍

The experience horrible. We were chased out the restaurant by some racist lady who tried to bully us into tipping what she thought we should because we were in a private room. She was rude and very disrespectful. She claimed to be the general manager which couldn’t be true chasing someone about a tip. It clearly says suggested tip. I would like to talk with the real general manager. I have never had this experience here. I will never return. She then put us out after she stopped us.

Getting here earlier in the evening is an advantage if you don't want to wait for a table. There are tables on the main floor but there are also tables available on upper levels which will give you the feeling of being in a small Italian restaurant. Booths are big and benches are wooden. They are designed so you feel separated from the table next to you. Our service was great. Alyssa had excellent timing when checking on our need for refills or boxes for our take home. We ate the stuffed pizza. It was delicious!! The crust was softer than other stuffed pizza I have eaten. I was grateful we ordered the large so we could take it home! We also had a salad while waiting for our pizza. Our waitress split it for us so we were not fumbling at the table. The dressing was served on the side and was a generous portion. If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere, good food and great service, this place is worth the wait!

Definitely family place, historic landmark, and feom the comments, the pizza was good. Had a salad. No vegan or plant-based options so this is not a good choice if that's your lifestyle and food preferences. The bar area was stocked, though.

The best Pizza in Chicago! Unlike many others this one tastes like home made pizza with great ingredients. This one in Homewood is specially better than the rest as it's a very nice place with nice old wood, nicely decorated and with comfortable tables. I get that many people love deep dish pizza but it's not like an original Italian pizza and this one it's much more like it. I was a little skeptical about the way the cut it but it's great.

Downtown Homewood is thee original and best location. If you've had any of the other Aurelio's and didn't like it, make sure you try the original because it's different. Honestly one of the best pizzas in Chicago and so original as I don't know of any place anywhere that is at all similar. The sauce is sweet which may turn some people off but the crust is perfectly crisp and the cheese has its own crispiness instead of what typical cheese would be like. I think its all really leant to these ovens. The atmosphere at the original is awesome too, love the cavernous feel, surrounded by wood, it's naturally dark in a good way. We've been coming here all our lives and some of my earliest memories are at this location and my memory says it's nearly unchanged. Absolutely worth the trip!

Absolutely wonderful! My friends and I went here to celebrate a new job. It's not exactly fancy inside: everything is clean and well maintained, though, and it's well lit without being too dim or too bright. Our server was courteous and very friendly, and was perfectly attentive without being intrusive. She recommended the thin crust, and let me tell you, she was absolutely right! The thick crust is good, but the thin crust isn't a cracker crunchy crust. It's crisp on the edges, and perfectly soft in the middle. It held up to the tomato, mushroom, and spinach pizza I ordered with no sogginess or wilting. And the flavor! The veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly. And whatever cheese they use is definitely the most flavorful cheese I've ever had on a pizza. Highly recommend! Worth every penny.

Service excellent and wait time for appetizer quicker than expected. Since I have dietary allergies I ordered separately. My thin crust was exactly the way I NOW enjoy pizza. Fresh garlic, giardinaire, ground beef, amount of sauce didn't overwhelm. It was great as a leftover too. Can't wait to get another one bigger for more leftovers. Family ordered deep-dish with everything I can't have. They had leftovers but not for long.

The pizza was scortched tasted like it was burnt. There is no way i am going back nor would i recommend this place to anyone. This was my forst time ordering from them I do believe it will be my last. There were not many options for pizza preparation offered at the time of ordering. My i suggest more options like what type of cheese on the pizza and sauce etc.

Super friendly service! The stuffed pizza was worth the wait; it looked perfect and tasted fantastic. I already knew their thin crust was excellent. For dining in, they had strong Covid 19 safety protocols in place such as masks off only when eating/drinking and good spacing for customer seating. I highly recommend this neighborhood favorite for family dining, as well as for their thin crust and stuffed pizza!

The pizza has changed, and not for the better. I’ve been eating this pizza for 20+ years with my family and would have rated it 5 stars, up until the last year or so. The last 5-10 visits, we’ve all noticed the pizza just tastes way different than we’re used to. One time, the sauce tasted really sour and off. Sometimes, they skimp on the toppings (which is crazy when you think about how much you’re paying per topping), and overall the pizza just isn’t very flavorful anymore. It used to be super flavorful and well seasoned. Now it’s just meh. My family used to always look forward to pizza day, so we could order from Aurelio’s every single time. However, now they actually ask if we can order from somewhere else. I keep giving them chances to see if it goes back to the way it used to be, but I’m disappointed every time.
