Excellent craftsmanship and outstanding customer service, Pruden & Smith created the most beautiful wedding ring to my specifications! They cared about each step of the process to the point where they on their own kept track of the shipping to the United States and interceded to push the customs process along so I would receive the ring on time. You just don’t find that kind of customer care these days!!

Rebecca designed and made my Celtic styled wedding ring 26 years ago and over those years I had always wanted my solitaire ring re-designed to match. I eventually felt my ring needed attention and decided at last to use my original diamond and have it styled and re-made to match my wedding ring. I knew exactly where I wanted to go to have the work carried out having watched Pruden and Smith over the years develop there wonderful styles and quality work (especially my favourite stacking work). From the first visit and many others everyone has been so helpful and friendly and I am delighted with my newly designed ring which is what I wished it to be and in my mind enhances my wedding ring. An excellent experience from beginning to end. Rebecca, with much patience, designed a very beautiful ring based upon my rather vague and changeable ideas. I did know that I wanted a large aquamarine stone and she sourced stones from which I could choose. She did the same for the side orange sapphires and the result is a unique ring that is very personal to me. I simply love it. I was impressed not only by her knowledge and skill but also her ability to listen to and interpret my ideas. The rather long journey to get to to the shop was certainly worth the effort and the two face to face consultations were augmented by a zoom meeting and a number of phone calls. Pruden and Smith created a lovely art-deco style half eternity ring for me, designed to my specifications using old brilliant cut diamonds taken from a very worn ring owned by my husband's great grandmother. I was initially quite wary of what they might do, having already been quoted an astronomical amount for the job by another local jewellery maker. The Pruden and Smith quote was a fraction of this original quote, but the many glowing reviews I found here and elsewhere online, plus the friendliness of the staff soon put me at ease. They did an absolutely fabulous job - I now have the most beautiful and unique piece of hand made jewellery which incorporates part of our family history - sitting on my finger. It's only been a couple of days since I brought it home, but it has already received so many compliments.

My most treasured piece of jewellery broke (came unstrung) while I was at Gatwick Airport waiting for a flight. The piece is made up of 5 large pieces of silver with a gem stone and hundreds of tiny silver disc beads. It went everywhere! I spent twenty minutes on my hands and knees grovelling around on the not too clean tiled floor of north terminal much to the consternation of fellow passengers. I found a lot but definitely not all of the beads and all of the big pieces. I was still finding beads in my underwear hours later! I put it in a Tupperware box and tried to forget about it and enjoy our short break to Porto. We arrived back on the Wednesday evening , I sent my necklace off to Pruden and Smith on Thursday and got it back fully restrung cleaned and as good as new on Saturday morning. I could not be more delighted with the service communication and professionalism shown by Pruden and Smith. Thank you for rescuing me. Jo

If I could give a 10 star rating for Pruden and Smith I would as they are amazing. I wanted a ring made for our Civil Ceremony using some of the stones from both my mothers and grandmother’s engagement rings. We had left it quite late to organise and I never expected them to be able to get it ready for the day but they did and the ring that was made for us was absolutely perfect. Over the years my husband has surprised me with many beautiful items of jewellery from Pruden and Smith and together we have bought gifts from them for both our daughters. When it came to commemorating our 40th wedding anniversary and also my 70th birthday, he wanted to buy me a special ring. We now live in the north of England and we visited a number of local jewellers, but none of them seemed able to offer anything that matched the quality and uniqueness of Pruden and Smith. Consequently we planned a visit south but this couldn't happen because of health issues, so we liaised with the team by phone and email and Rebecca created a beautiful sapphire bubbles cluster ring with colours of my choosing for the main stones. Pruden and Smith designed a sapphire ring that could stack to one of my existing one. The interactions have been easy and smooth, they listened to all my requests and desires. They were able to produce the most beautiful piece! It looks so similar to the old ring and stacks perfectly; it almost feels they have been designed together! I kept looking at lapis lazuli pendant round online on December 2020. I was so in love with it. And to my surprise my husband bought it for my birthday. It is absolutely stunning. I've bought a number of pieces of lovely jewellery from Pruden & Smith over the years. Most recently I bought a pair of tanzanite square stud earrings, which are beautiful and which I love. Three months later I lost one of the earring backs. Staff are friendly and very talented I ordered a custom engagement ring for my (now) fiance. Due to Covid, I preferred not have an in person appointment and was able to discuss what I was looking for over the phone and video call. I was kept updated on the progress of the ring, and was able to pick the ring up at a date that I felt was comfortable. My fiance and I love the ring and we are very happy with it!

I asked Pruden and Smith to create a statement necklace from various pieces of jewellery that I had been given over the years, including necklaces, earrings and my grandmother’s engagement ring. They listened to the brief (which was very vague indeed tbf!) and came up with a design which I loved. They produced the necklace within a month (in time for a special birthday) and I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. I have had so many compliments on it and now, instead of the various items sitting in my jewellery box, I can wear them all at once in one stunning necklace. Sooo over the moon. Thank you.

Excellent jeweller! We got our engagement and both wedding rings from here, we designed them together and the results were amazing!
