I hadn’t been here for at least 25 years, so it was nice to see the place hasn’t changed significantly in that time. Bought my little ones here for a Tubing session and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and helpful, providing lots of information on the different classes available and a comprehensive safety brief before the activity begins. The site itself is starting to look a little old now and could do with being refurbished but it remains very clean and tidy and more than adequate, although the only refreshments available on site are vending machines that only take cash. My daughters loved the tubing but we will be coming back next week for skiing lessons. I would recommend a visit.

We booked to visit here a couple of weeks ago with two six year olds for the first time. As bad weather rolled in we called in advance and was told that the weather would be assessed in the morning. Overnight the bad weather was upgraded to a rare red weather alert: “A red warning is the Met Office's most severe weather warning, meaning dangerous weather is expected and you should take action to keep yourself and others safe. It is very likely that there will be a risk to life, with substantial disruption to travel, energy supplies and possibly widespread damage to property and infrastructure. You should avoid travelling, where possible, and follow the advice of the emergency services and local authorities. Expect: Flying debris, resulting in danger to life Damage to buildings and homes - roofs blown off, power lines brought down Uprooted trees likely Roads, bridges and railway lines closed…” Speaking to the Ski Centre this morning after the alert was issued I was told that they had carried out their own risk assessment and that they deem their outdoor activity centre located on a hill, surrounded by trees safe. They promised to put this in writing to me, to date they’ve not sent anything. Rude and insensitive staff who obviously care more about money than the safety, well-being and enjoyment of their customers. We didn’t even want a refund at the time, we didn’t want to pay £20 admin fee (I’d love to see the breakdown of this) for something that cost £25 to move to a later date and was clearly an exceptional situation to the norm. If they are willing to put people at risk for £20, what other corners are they willing to cut, did a risk assessment actually get carried out, are the facilities of suitable standard, are the staff professional, do they provide minimum basic customer service levels? Who knows? From our experience so far I’d say no; and I wouldn’t want anyone else to find out at the expense of their own well-being or that of their children.

The venue is good and well maintained for skiing. The restaurant does not offer vegetarian or vegan food options. The toilets are not wheelchair friendly. Parking is good. Golf, climbing and go cart available in the neighbourhood. A nice Japanese restaurant also nearby.

Friendly and professional. Reception staff were amazing, the instructors were great. Always punctual and very organised. We had a great time even in the wind and rain. Liam was a great instructor. Very technical with excellent communication. The instructors built both confidence and ability.

Poor customer service, difficult booking process, very unprofessional staff, out of date facilities. Otherwise a nice idea.

Good ski centre. Lots of parking, with hire wear and ski wear. Toilets and changing rooms. Has large slope, training slope and doughnuts for the little ones. May be difficult with buggies and wheelchairs and slopes and steps.

Great fun, great staff. Was really good to have the slope to ourselves for 45 mins. What a workout!
