The room had a beautiful design but it was very small. The employees were very nice, especially at breakfast, they always helped me when I needed something. They have a large selection of savoury food at the breakfast buffet but they also offer sweet things like cereal, fruit and porridge with many different toppings.

I had a really good stay here. Centrally located, staff were pleasant, room was very comfortable food was high quality and it was a great stay. The bar & restaurant area has had a makeover and a fantastic place to go and relax. No spa and the gym is basic. But considering it's central location I'd visit again. However, we over ordered at the restaurant and they said we couldn't take food off site for health & safety reasons (which I feel is obsurd). Instead of providing a takeaway box waitress took food to kitchen (to check with chef) where it was disposed of. I was quite annoyed at this which explains the 4 stars. I hope they can quickly resolve this!!

From the outside it looks like an office block from the 80s but don't let that put you off. The inside has been beautifully refurbished, it's clean, spacious and feels luxurious. There is also a new wellness suite which is loooovely, it's a private area that can be booked for small groups (or by yourself if you don't have friends). I recommend the zero gravity flotation bed, it's like being in the womb. The experience shower is also.. well it's an experience. The staff were friendly, polite and very accommodating. Only knocked a star off for location but if you have a car or if it's just a short stay that's a minor. And frankly you'll have checked the location before booking so you'll know if it suits you I'd have thought. Overall, a lovely experience.

Good hotel with fantastic rooms. Rooms are well kitted out and very modern looking. Food at the restaurant service is really good with the option to pick up and take to your room. Good selection of items on the menu. I highly recommend the pizza and the posh fish finger sandwich. Breakfast options are really good and have lots of great choices to suit anyone. A nice sized gym is also available to be used. With plenty of different machines to be used. Nice sized car park onside is also a welcome addition.

The hotel is decent, however I have had better experience before. There seems to be a lot of cons…. The air conditioning was barely giving air The doors make a loud sound The parking charge compared to other hotels close by The food variety is limited and not a wide enough range The shower water pressure is so low that it’s quite difficult to have shower -(not recommend for tall people) The hair dryer kept turning off every time I tried to dry my hair My overall sleep experience wasn’t the best, I would say it was a bit difficult to get some good night rest. The dinner menu was just not it, they would say one thing and something else would take place. The view is of the car park… which it isn’t the end of the world. Pros.. Some staff were pretty nice and chatty - some completely forgot what you had asked for The lifts ask for a card, before you can select the floor you wish to go The bathroom is pretty decent - it’s not too small! They have an ironing board so that’s great that I was able to iron my clothes in the morning.

Easyjet left us here stranded, for free though at least so why not leave a review as well, right? :) We've gotten a King Deluxe room which sounds like much more than it was, but it was very clean and gorgeous. Some basic things are definitely missing in my opinion, like a hair dryer, handsoap (which we got from them on demand), and the washing service wasn't available over the weekend. Also the rooms weren't really quite and pretty cold sometimes. You were only able to turn the AC off, not heat the room in any way. Of course free food is difficult to judge, but it was honestly really good. We only had breakfast and dinner buffets and it was a great selection of local and various foods including vegan and vegetarian options. Even the drinks were various. The times were flexible and generous enough. And last but not least the staff was extremely amazing! They were really friendly and more than just helful, they saved our a**** more than once :) Thanks so much to them and if you want great service, come here... But with a hair dryer and a car to get into the city or at least the train station.

The Hilton London Croydon hotel is a pretty bland sort of building from the outside and the theme is repeated inside. For some reason they had 3 service staff on reception, two were casually chatting with a customer and a third was dealing with what was almost a queue to register. They also have the reception desk closed off with a Perspex screen - fine but it left no space to actually write on the registration form ( and I found myself wondering why we had to complete a registration form anyway, seemed so dated?). The security on the lifts was tight, you have to swipe your card across a panel before the lift will function - all a bit weird and I'm ashamed to say, I had to get help from a couple of kids who had entered the lift. I was annoyed to find out that parking was an additional £9.00 per night - I had emailed the hotel and phoned ahead to confirm parking was available and nothing had been mentioned. All I got back from my email asking whether parking would be available was a very abrupt "it's on a first come first serve basis", which frankly, considering I was driving from the South some 80 miles to the hotel and had no idea of the area (Croydon is a dump), was to say the least unnerving. Breakfast was fine but by 8am the food was looking a bit shrivelled up. The rooms were pleasantly bland but the loo had not loo brush? The heating in the room was set for 25C and would not be altered, so it soon became a tad stuffy. I could have requested someone come up to sort it out but I was tired and let it slide. The main entrance leads directly onto the lounge and then to the breakfast/dining room. I can't say that I thought the decor was up to much, bland, inoffensive bordering on dull - the breakfast room reminded me more of IKEA than a reputed hotel. Overall I can't say it was bad but certainly uninspiring...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this place, and it exceeded my expectations in every way! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The ambiance was charming and inviting, creating a relaxing atmosphere. I was impressed by the attention to detail in the design and decor. The service was outstanding, with prompt and efficient assistance throughout my visit. The location is convenient, with ample parking available. I left feeling refreshed and satisfied with my experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable time. I can't wait to return soon!

Ive really enjoyed my stay here from the beginning when I walked in I was welcomed by staff on duty. Helping me out with my key, explaining about timings. The staff during breakfast are brilliant. They are always cheerful and chatty which is so refreshing. Breakfast is great, with lots of choices, omelettes made to order, full cooked, fresh salad, Continental so much to choose from. Great choice in Teas. I find the rooms really comfortable, clean, nice and airey. Tea making facilities, a fridge, iron, hairdryer. Nice fluffy towels, which you can wrap around yourself after a shower. A real bonus. The rooms are cleaned daily unless you state otherwise. Beds are big and comfy, you disappear into the pillows. Overall a lovely experience. Thank You.

Very disappointed in this location. I started in their presidential suite which although alright, I've seen regular rooms look better. It's way too expensive to have every single gym machine broken. That was the primary reason why I wanted to stay here was to work out during my trip. Upon asking the front desk about why the low impact machines were not working, they didn't even care to assist which was frustrating as i was recovering from an injury. I wouldn't stay here again.

Rooms are small and room descriptions not very accurate specifically when traveling in group. In winter rooms are hot and room thermostat is just for reading room temp which you already hot. I called front desk who confirmed that you actually cannot regulate the temp with the thermostat...so we had to open window but due to high traffic area it was noisy so we had to pick out poison...hot steamy room or not so hot and noisy room. Front desk in general is not very friendly and seem like they are just doing their job. Facilities outside of room are spacious but rooms very small and not well designed for work with round tables...so you really are pushed to get outside room if you want comfort...breakfast was very nice and staff there friendly and helpful. I would not stay there again to cut commute into London and just go straight in.

Nice enough hotel and service is good, but they don’t provide water in the room unless you’re a member. Considering every other 4-5* hotel provides a bottle of water, this is more a penalty for occasional customers rather than a benefit to members. No smart TVs

We had such an incredible visit , just before our fly .So it’s a perfect place to relax the body after a fly or before . We had the 90 min experience room , where time it flied away . The room has relaxing beds , the water bed was like we were floating ,steam and sauna , facilities impeccable and we finish with an afternoon tea. All the staff from our check it , restaurant , were so welcome and helpful . Definitely will be back very soon .

Impressive Hotel, Outstanding, Service. From the minute we arrived, to the checking out time, this hotel did not disappoint us. The reception staff were efficient, and courteous. The room (126) we stayed was spotlessly clean ideally proportioned. The lounge-services for, bar, lunch and dinner, were of high standard and the range and quality of the food was excellent. Every member of staff we interacted with, including maintenance staff, were friendly and genuinely cared about stay. Breakfast service was impressive, the buffet was spaciously laid out. Jane, who looked after us, at breakfast, was an example of customer service champion and an ambassador for this, 4 star hotel.

A great experience! The staff are really polite and hummbly helpful. The room had a perfect situation; everything was neat and in good quality. When I called reporting for TV remote, a patient staff member came immediately and made sure everything works well. The food and breakfast are delicious as well.

Clearly one of the most excellent hotels that I have been on during few years traveling around England. Exactly what a hotel needs for you. Comfortable bed, spacious room, spotlessly clean, good temperature and incredible bathroom. Staff attentive and polite, always with a positive attitude and reachable at all times. I have never seen a bad face. I would like to highlight the breakfast which is second to none, easily could fill me up for the rest of the day, massive variety and tasteful. I would love to highlight the brilliant treatment that I received during the mornings by like Ebry, Shannon, Hannah (chef) and Yavliz. It is a shame that I can not write down the name of every employee in that place Congratulations to all of you

Didn't stay at the hotel, but only had afternoon tea at the restaurant. Booking was straightforward. Paying for parking was a breeze. Food was delicious and the service was profesional and friendly. Recommended!

I would like to personally thank Melroy and Junior for making our stay a wonderful one. They were accommodating, kind and helpful. They really made our stay a lovely one considering we had to leave our home due to a serious flood. Thank you both very much! Keep doing what you do and we wish you the best for your future. Thank you both, a real asset to the company and industry 😊

Nice hotel, great location. Rooms are very well presented, and food was a decent quality. Only criticism is the expensive parking charges.

Overall, the property is quite good. As a Hilton gold member, I got upgraded to a family room. However, I was also checked into a smoking room (or possibly the previous guest smoked in the non-smoking room). I asked the housekeeping staff, daily, to freshen it up the room a bit, but it didn't help. Since it was only a two-night stay, so I could manage. However, if I were staying longer, I would have asked for a different room. The location is not near East Croydon Town Center, so it is better to arrive by car. (Local bus is available 24hrs from East Croydon.) The breakfast is great, with many variety to choose from and staff is very friendly.

We had a great stay at the Hilton, London, Croydon, and the lady on the reception desk was really helpful. Our rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were comfy. My only negative feedback would be, that as vegetarians we were very disappointed that the veggie sausages, as part of our full english breakfast, were just mashed potato, with the odd pea and sweetcorn, in a crispy coating. With the wide variety of meat alternative sausages now available, veggie and vegan, we expected something better, when we payed over £17 for a breakfast. There were a variety of other breakfast options available, pancakes and continental, cereal, fruit etc, which was amazing but it's more constructive criticism really as, I think your vegetarian breakfast option could be brought up to the standard of all the other choices with a different sausage option.

If you're looking for an overnight stay in a comfortable, well equipped & clean hotel - then the Hilton on Purley Way is the only option in my eyes. Do not ne fooled by its exterior appearance, the internal is welcoming, modern, & clean.

Enjoyed my room, very comfortable. Location meant not a great window view, but adequate enough. Had an issue overnight, but staff was quick and prompt in solving it and help me change rooms. Great parking available for a reasonable price. Buffet style breakfast in morning was good quality and presentation.

Nice clean hotel. Location is not too bad bit have to take buses from behind the hotel to move around. Some restaurants walking distance in the area, but not many.

Very nice hotel with a great breakfast buffet range! The room was very pleasant and very comfortable bed! The only problem was the lack of communication between the night team with the morning one, but Yamuma sorted it out the problem with professionalism and efficiency.

Good rooms, friendly staff almost everywhere.. Had a strange start to the whole process when checking in. The receptionist was not up to the mark but rest of the stay was good. Need to have more experienced reception staff.

The hotel is clean and safe. The staff was kind and attentive. Despite them trying to adjust the system and moving me to 3 rooms they could get the heating unit to go above 20c (68f) though it felt colder.

Stayed over on business, only 1 night. Staff could not be more friendly - everyone from reception to restaurant - it really left an impression and wasn’t expected. Hotel fresh and modern inside. Room aircon worked well and, for once in a hotel, was barely noticeable when on. If I need to stay in the area again I would definitely stay here

  • 5/5 Kyle S. 4 months ago on Google
The bar and hall for the venue were good spaces for events, the bar is decent for a hotel event bar (nobody should expect hand-pumps in this kind of place but they are well stocked on bottles etc. if you're an ale person) and as expensive as you would expect for an expensive hotel in general so shouldn't be a complaint, really. Although they might want to invest in a second card reader to speed up the queue. The dance floor is a little cramped when everyone got on it - but that was kind of our problem. The service was very solid and professional at all times, and the lounge area was very lovely. Cool venue overall.

One of the best Hiltons I have stayed at! As a Gold Hilton Honors member, I felt extremely welcome and appreciated. The breakfast was a nice touch to my stay. High quality food, high quality service and genuinely helpful employees. Special shout out to Jav and Sherryl for ensuring a smooth running of breakfast operations. The night receptionist upon my check-out was also truly kind.Thank you all for making my UK experience so memorable, you are all a true asset to Hilton as a brand, and an example of what real hospitality should be. Know that your work is truly appreciated and I will make sure to return to this wonderful property next time I visit London!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS HOTEL! My husband and i used to spend our anniversary here each year but haven't been in about a year as we've been trying other Hiltons outside London. We are overdue for a visit. This is the hotel we spent our first Knight after being married and we absolutely love it especially the breakfast.

I had a lovely stay here. They are so clean and mindful of restrictions etc. The staff were lovely, especially Success, our little ray of sunshine, Philippa, so capable and efficient, Von the chef, full of smiles and going the extra mile and David the maintenance manager who just made my day with his morning compliments. I upgraded to a spa package which made my stay more special, thanks to you all. x

The staff in this hotel are shockingly rude. I stayed for one night on my wedding day to get ready. When I checked out and went to the reception hall I realised I forgot my husbands clothes in the hotel wardrobe. When I called back the hotel to help me look so I can get a taxi to collect, they refused because someone had checked into my room… I said please can you knock or call their mobile? They refused and said the cleaning team had gone home I would have to wait the next day. The manager hung up the phone on me because he said there is nothing else he could do… I was shocked and so disappointed. We had to go buy clothes on my wedding day for my husband. I will never stay here or recommend you stay here if you’re getting married. Absolutely shocking service

Booked a presidential room for 4 but room only had bathroom linen for two and waited after requesting more. Have been charged TWICE and have left several requests through online to be called/emailed back. Spoke to reception and was told they would call me back. Still waiting. Only reason I gave 2 stars was for the restaurant staff who were the one shining light during my stay.

We had an enjoyable stay at Hilton Purley. Received a warm welcome. A lovely room .Furnished well. Comfortable. Excellent in room dining service. Enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Excellent food. Only disappointment Hilton Purley took two payments out of my bank account, instead of one. Now trying to get my overpayment back. . As yet, no response to my e mail. Hence three stars instead of five.

Not as described at all, complete shambles. Wouldn’t recommend HILTON to nobody especially for a New Year’s Eve dinner & stay. Was lied to about the dinner event, the staff don’t seem to care about anything just stand around chatting. Terrible experience wouldn’t go back / recommend to anybody.

I absolutely loved this place, beautifully eecorated rooms and entrance lobby alongside friendly staff. We had the king family suite, it's similar to an apartment and made me and my family feel like home, i highly recommend it. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great experience at check in. Arrived around 9pm this evening and was greeted by friendly staff. Very helpful. Thanks to Pablo and Ana - they went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Great room- bed very large and comfortable. Good air con. Looking forward to breakfast!

  • 4/5 Stephen C. 2 years ago on Google
Decent hotel. The room was clean. Loved the blackout curtains. Staff were polite and helpful. The bed was super comfy. Had a great night's sleep. My only gripe, we had to pay for parking on top of paying for the room. £9 a day which I thought was a bit cheeky considering the price of the room. Hence the 4star rating. 👌

Have been staying in the Hilton for a couple of weeks for work and have to say I have throughly enjoyed my staff each time. It’s now feels like a second home. The staff are friendly and always helpful. When you go downstairs in the morning you are made to feel right at home. Always available to help. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and have to say when you get on the evening after a long day at work the bed are one of the best things. But I have to say overall I have enjoyed staying there. One of the best hotels in Croydon and believe you me have been in a few.

Nice hotel, I went for a training session here so can't really comment on the rooms. The meeting rooms were large and well equipped with air con. Food was very yummy and probably the best part for me. The entrance is a bit tucked away behind foliage and I needed google maps to locate it (the irony!)

Giving four stars because can’t really fault what it is. We needed a place for the night. It was clean reasonably spacious, comfortable and modern. They charged me £10 late check out fee for being 1hr past the 11am check out time. I called ahead and said we need a bit more time but they were adamant that this was the policy. Would definitely recommend and go again.

While the breakfast and restaurant were excellent the bedroom and bathroom were cubicle like - I had a king room. Likewise, they were not cleaned properly. I also did not feel like a Hilton Honours guest - whatever that means and do not think they upgraded my room as according to my membership. Even though the staff was reservedly polite, you always felt as if they didn’t have to and that you were being done a favor. The restaurant staff was totally different and were dedicated to making your experience as memorable as possible. I’m a Hilton Honours member and have had better experiences.

I was sceptical staying here due to its location but it was fine. Staff where friendly, polite and willing to help. Room was adequate for what I paid with quality towels and toilet role. I was amazed and would recommend it.

The place has a cool and crisp feel about it as you enter through the revolving door. The colour scheme of the decor looks great and the staff seem super efficient. Prices are in line with most other hotels of this star rating (side portion of chips was £5) and paying for the car park is easy to navigate. The foyer seemed to be a great meeting place for professionals as several people were on laptops. Overall, a very professional and corporate look that was nice.

I have been Staying at the Hilton London Croydon as I am working nearby. I have been there for four weeks and it has been a very pleasant stay. The rooms are large , very clean and modern with TV , drinks cooler, and air conditioning. Super comfortable bed. Nice modern clean bathroom. The Staff are always friendly approachable and helpful . Excellent parking . The breakfast is always a winner with a good choice for both Continental and full English . The team serving breakfast are so friendly they really do set you up for the day.

Wonderful stay yesterday, cannot recommend this hotel enough. The hotel is super modern but also has a warm and cosy vibe with great mood lighting. The feel you get when you walk in to the hotel is 100% 5* luxury in every aspect. Welcome and check in was extremely warm and friendly without being overbearing. Finishes in the room and whole hotel are designer in feel and exude quality to the highest standards. My room was IMMACULATE and the taps and glass everywhere was polished within an inch of its life. TV was huge, as was the bed, Luxurious Shower gel, Shampoo - and conditioner (which I feel is often forgotten) I had everything I needed and more. Latte in the morning at the bar was beautifully made with a proper coffee machine and hand frothed silky milk - didn’t get a chance to try breakfast but have no doubt it would have been lovely so will try next time! I could really see the care, attention and standards across all areas throughout my experience - housekeeping, service, comfort, luxury. Would 100% stay again and would 100% recommend! 😁
