The worst place to stay. We were left waiting 1 hour at the door because there was no one to attend to us even though we advised two hours before arriving. Then there were no rooms, and they moved us to another house. We were offered to cancel the booking on booking and pay in cash to evade taxes. The room was unmade. But the worst thing is that the alarm beeped every 34 seconds throughout the night. If you want to enjoy London do not go here.

We were not supposed to stay here, but the manager gave us a room in this building. The rooms were extremely dirty, the blankets had hairs and stains everywhere and no one came to clean the common bathroom or change the bin. Such a bad experience. We had to buy new sheets because of the dirtiness. The only good things about this place are the position (near to the station) and the cheapness.

It's not acceptable! Horrible! No hot water. Mold in the ceiling. When I called to tell them about the water, they told me only upstairs....and at least I was able to shower at the end. Never coming back. The worst experience I've ever had. The pictures in their web are totally fake, and there are also fake comments. I rented the rooms because I trusted the pics and comments, but believe me, never more. I will pay more and go to a better place

I have never stayed in such a disgusting place. Even before you enter the house, piles of rubbish and half-heartedly stuck broken windows put you in the right mood. The first impression turns out to be completely correct when the unfriendly and annoyed staff appear and enter the accommodation: dirt everywhere. Luckily we only stayed there one night.

The hotel is dirty, there are rats running in front of the entrance... The owner is dishonest - he does not answer the phone when trying to check in. Moreover, booking takes the side of the owner of the facility, not the injured customer. The only person who tries to help is the elderly maid. If someone wants to stay in London without accommodation, I recommend this place...

You get what you pay for. The place is in need of repair and general upgrade. However if you are not willing to pay more and want to be near Tooting amenities. This is a good place. There are only two toilets for eight room with on average five people. There is no communal area just corridor. No reception and the owner usually does not turn on time. So be prepared to wait a little - 10 minutes. You get key to the room and code for the front doors. The room is quite cold due to single glazed window and the top part is ventilation which does not close fully.

my friend booked this place without reading the reviews. we booked for two nights, and only stayed for one night because we just can’t. We did not sleep properly for the whole night. There’s blood on the bedsheet, i felt something like an insect crawled on my arms. The toilet on our floor couldn’t flushed properly and it wasn’t clean. It was a nightmare

When we arrived at the first/shown location, we had to wait for a few minutes before anyone showed up, this was our own fault as we gave the wrong arriving time. But at arrival we noticed some shoes hanging on a electricity cable mounted on the hotel which means there is a drugdeal location right there. The hotel was full with deferred maintanence on the outside and looked like a place where people dump their garbage But when the employee arrived they sent us to a different building which was way nicer looking and had a clean room and bathroom. Appart from the underwear laying on the roof right outside of the window it was a nice stay. Especialy when you're all day in Londen. There is a nice pub where you can get breakfast under £4, a store on walking distance and restaurants all over town. This makes it the perfect price/quality hotel.

There is no hot water, as you can see in the rest of the comments, it is not a factor in my stay. We spent two hours waiting for the owner to show up to give us the keys, finally a person showed up who had no idea, he asked how many we were and they began to distribute the rooms, there were about 9 people waiting. There is no cleaning, everything is very disgusting, it is true that it is very cheap, but there has to be a minimum, right? My whole body itches and the day after my stay I went somewhere else to spend the remaining 4 days of my trip. I have never seen such disastrous treatment. It's worth spending a few more euros. Forgetting to talk to the owner, he doesn't answer the phone, WhatsApp at the time even though he is online. I find it embarrassing that this is open and no one does anything

I would not even put one star, we received a room that was dirty, the house is disgusting with only 2 beds instead of 4 !! The house was disgusting, I don't understand how this hostel can appear in Bookings. The guy at the phone was unprofessional, not helpful ! I had to call more than 10 times to make sure someone would be there to open and noone was here, he send me a code to open the door after 1 hour waiting outside!!!

This place was a disaster. When we arrived we were told that this building was being renovated and moved to a different building close by. This new building had black bags of rubbish outside that were nearly 3feet high and stank. We were given a room on the top floor that had nothing but 2 single beds, and 1 bedside locker. No wardrobe. No space for anything. TINY! The bedsheets were greying as if they used to be white. There was 2 communal bathrooms for 8 rooms. These were dirty and didn't have a shower on the wall, only a hose on the taps and no hot water. There were no bulbs in the halls so leaving the building at night time was dangerous as there was 3 flights of stairs. I also have come home with several bites which I suspect came from the bedding. Not at all what we were told we were going to get. Never again!

The fact that this place can be rented out is a crime. My partner waited outside for over an hour before someone came to let him in. He was taken to a double room when we paid for a family room (with a huge price difference). The property is advertised as having WiFi but there was none. The place was dirty, evidence of bed bugs, broken lock on front door so anyone can walk in. There are signs stating don't store food in rooms so as to prevent bugs and to store food in kitchen - yet there is no kitchen. No food preparation area, no kettle or fridge in room. Staff impossible to get hold of. No fire doors, to fire or smoke alarms in rooms.

Before we were supposed to arrive we were in contact with the propietor, he asked us to keep him updated and text him at least 15 minutes before arrival, we decided to update him several hours before checking in, about three hours earlier, with a followup every 30 minutes. They did however not respond to these at all, despite us asking them to confirm that they knew of our arrival. When we showed up we still didn't have an answer from them, no key, no doorcode, no room number. So we knocked on the door and were greeted by a french speaking tenant who said that the owner hadn't been in that day, and that there were no rooms available even if he was, the tenant then offered us to sleep in the hallway. I kept trying to get an answer from the owner, and after about 20 minutes he texted me back with a different number, asking me to get in contact with his colleague, when I tried to do that, I got ignored and his colleague kept manually swiping busy on me. After another five minutes the first person texted me saying that they had moved us to a different address a couple of doors down, including where our key was and the room number. When we went in there however, we still couldn't find the key, and the doors weren't marked, so we had no idea which room was ours. While waiting for further instructions from the owner, another tenant came out and asked us how long we had been waiting, we told him what happened and he told us to stay persistent, but keep our expectations low because he's a crook, and had ripped the tenant of three times before. After another ten minutes we finally got another message, which was just a picture of a potted plant, nothing else. I noticed the plant in the same room, so i looked inside it and found our room key, we then had to try it on every unmarked door until we found our room. Once in the room we noticed squished bugs on the roof, no functional lamp and a window that you can't close. The public bathrooms were disguisting and tenants were having loud sex in them. We didn't see any staff during our entire stay, there was no toilet paper and there was trash all over the hallways making it hard to move around. This place is tolerable at best if you're only going to sleep there, but even then, bring earplugs because the neighbors party all night, every night. I do not recommend this to anyone, and I don't think businesses like these should be allowed to operate.

This room may seem cheap but it is not even worth a penny. First, the picture is incorrect and you will get a small room with beds that will fall apart when you sit/lay on them. The wifi was not working, which was the least of our trouble as there was no warm water available in the bathroom or anywhere else in the house. The bathroom smelled and I did not dare to touch most of the stuff in there. There was a fire alarm beeping because it was low on battery, so I had to take it out myself to be able to sleep. One of the beds was also broken which resulted in a great valley while laying on it. We did only see the care-keeper once and that was when we arrived. What can be concluded by all the things mentioned above is, that if you are staying in London, you should definitely NOT stay at Tooting rooms!

If you are like me trying to find cheaper options to travel on a budget well... you will spend more money trying to pay for the repercussions of this place then the money you saved on getting a better place. If you are as naive as I was and thought 'its okay i can handle a somewhat dirty hotel' well you will find it is not just dirty. We were given an address to a place and it was abandoned with no person on sight. They had failed to instruct us on a different location to where there was a room. After hours of wondering and finally finding a library for a phone (as new international travellers we did not have sims) the person who answered the phone sounder rude, disinterested and frankly annoyed to have to answer our call to tell us where to go. Now to top it all off, we were travelling into winter from a warmer climate and it was incredibly cold. There was NO HOT WATER in the showers. The room was cold and there was nothing but a thin blanket on the bed. Eventually i couldnt handle being dirty and having oily hair anymore so i tried washing my hair and skin with the hand washing basin and using the cold water. And guess what. I ended up sick a few days in. Oh and if this warning doesnt stop you from booking a room at this sorry excuse of a 'hotel' then at least please bring toilet paper as that is something that was seemingly non existant.

The worst experience I ever had!!! The collection key point is not in the same place. No telephone response. Arrangement is horrible. And after booking, they told u no rooms when you get there. I booked a room there and they told me my room is not available there and need to change one. I have been waited for 1 hour and cannot get my keys. Finally they told me to collect keys from 6miles from there. The staff said he knew it was their fault and because it was too far away and he won't send the keys to tooting rooms. So rude and mean staff! Totally liar! Never thought in the UK this guy would exist!!! Bad impression!!! Cancel from the booking yesterday. I'm so glad I have changed another hotel although it wasted me two hours. I have sued them in booking. No thanks.
