After
taking
a
break
from
this
pub
due
to
the
previous
management,
I
visited
last
night
after
work
and
was
very
impressed
with
the
ambiance,
food
and
great
Guiness.
This
really
in
pub
terms
the
equivalence
of
an
Oasis.
It's
like
an
English
country
pub,
but
in
Croydon.
The
vibe
is
relaxed
with
enough
people
to
create
a
good
atmosphere,
without
the
craziness
of
other
Croydon
pubs.
To
eat,
the
had
the
stew
which
at
£8.50
was
amazing
value,
the
main
menu
is
pizza.
To
drink
we
had
Guiness
which
was
excellent,
the
wine
selection
is
very
good
as
well.
The
service
was
excellent,
both
efficient
and
friendly.
The
other
customers,
who
seemed
to
be
locals,
were
friendly
and
welcoming,
but
not
imposing
so
we
could
enjoy
our
drinks
and
food
at
our
table,
and
when
going
to
the
bar
talk
and
meet
other
locals.
Highly
recommended
for
those
who
like
pubs
as
pubs,
not
flashy
wine
bars,
or
sports
bars,
great
food
and
drink,
served
well
by
friendly
people
with
a
local
vibe,
but
not
cliquey.
For
sure,
we
will
be
visiting
again,
