What a gem right on our doorstep. Well worth a visit; aside from its natural beauty, calming effects from little cascading water fall, its equally an attraction to nature where an abundance of species can be spotted such as; Squirrels, Ducks, Moorhens, Pigeons, Swans, Robbins & if very lucky, Jays, Woodpeckers & Herons have been spotted here. A great place for all ages, young or elderly as accessible for pushchairs/wheelchairs, with plenty of park benches to sit, relax & take in pretty views. Equally ideal for bird lovers, responsible dog walkers & budding explorers. Paths taking you around grounds avoid muddy shoes on wet wintry days, whilst the many trees & flora provide shade & interest on hot days. Play park, Mini Golf & CafΓ© nearby & close to Carshalton High Street.

Just by the Mill is a bridge over Carshalton Ponds and the river Wandle. There is a lovely view of the waterfall and the surrounding parkland. Well worth a visit in the different seasons and times of day.

It's a very beautiful park with playground for children and open spaces to play sport. You can bring you pet and children. it has some route for cycling. The parking is Β£1 for all day on Sunday. For other days it's not too expensive though. It's not too far from Carshalton highstreet, cafΓ©s, pubs and restaurants. You can walk there and enjoy the Carshalton ponds and the river Wandle. There's a water mill there as well which nice but unfortunately seems not working. It also has public toilets.

A beautiful and peaceful park which is always a pleasure to visit. This park is always clean and inviting. It features wide open spaces, a small river and a children's playground. There are good cafes and it is close to local shops. Pay & Display parking is available nearby, and there is some toilet facilities ( if they are open). The best feature of this park is the wide range of wildlife who live here, and how friendly and engaging the creatures are!

Love this park, plus I can manage dad's wheelchair around it. And the coffee at Sassis is the best I've had from anywhere for a long time.

Extremely beautiful park to take your partner or pets for a walk. Lots of nature in the park, ducks, fish, swans, Pigeons and also squirrels. There's plenty of seating areas and of course grass to sit down on. There are shops nearby to pick up ingredients for a little picnic. The nearest public restroom that's open to the public is the nearby train station which if you ask the guard nicely, they'll let you through without a ticket to go toilet. 5/5 to go back here on a warm day.

Beautiful, clean and quiet park perfect for an evening walk. Rivers and waterfalls and ducks and geese! It's also not so huge that you'd have to be there for hours, perfect for dogs and toddlers! (There is a kids playground and open field bit too)

A major feature in this park, it definitely adds a great touch of personality and it offers a fantastic, relaxing sound.

  • 3/5 John C. 2 years ago on Google
It's looking tired and shabby. A lot of rats running around the corner and edges of the waterway. The area around the old water wheel and the Grove building is beginning to look decrepit. Maintenance is a low priority given LA resources and fresh thinking needed to conserve the Borough's heritage.

  • 5/5 Mark C. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful light today by the ponds, basking in sunshine, watching ducks n geese, listening to children playing, remembering generations of our family who've loved this place way back to the early 1900's when my grandmother, Lillian Weller, played here when it was still private property. A seat in her memory sits at the heart of the park, where a tree planted in her memory now grows tall twenty years on.

Well-used and loved park which we used to go to daily when we lived there. Great to see they have updated the miniature golf. The park has everything you need for a nice afternoon out: playground, caged ball sport arena, mini golf, plenty of green space, ponds. Negatives: noticed there were a few play area items removed and they were some old-looking equipment. It's very popular so you will need to keep your eyes peeled for your kids. The toilets were also not open.

Nice public park with river going through. Pity about the roar of the traffic. Could do with more flowers and attractive planting - you can see that it once was a pleasant garden around the river but has been left to die from a thousand cuts.

The park, gardens and Carshalton ponds are well worth a visit. There are many paths through the trees and along the river Wandle. There are some small waterfalls and an old water mill: this is unfortunately is being left to delapidate. There is a cafe in the park, a children's playground - which is very good and a bowling green. If you stop near the squirrels, they will run up to you, hoping for some peanuts. 🐿️ You can feed the ducks and geese (no bread please)!
