Ive been swimming here with my family 3 times in the last 6 weeks, and each time the changing rooms have been disgusting. I don’t think the photos do it justice. Smushed up food, hair, plasters, rubbish and soggy tissue everywhere. The mess was there when we got changed to go in swimming, and still there when we came out. I mentioned it to the female manager on shift this afternoon, who assured me they have a full time cleaner in the changing room on the weekends, and that she had inspected them a couple of hours earlier. Not sure what standard they are happy with, but in my opinion it’s not acceptable. I’m not sure if I have just been extremely unfortunate on all three visits, and timed my trip to coincide with the cleaners 2.5 hour break, or (more likely) they are doing a substandard job. The pool is awesome, and my 4 year old daughter loves the slides, but I’m very reluctant to ever go back.

Today I visited the leisure centre with my 7yr old child, I booked the leisure pool you get 1hr 30mins in the pool. We both had a nice time there is a few slides to enjoy and a large wave pool. There is also a pool with lanes and a diving pool. There are plenty of lockers and cubicles to get changed in. The leisure center also has a large ice skating rink and bowling alley. This is a nice family leisure centre and I will be visiting again.

No photos or phones allowed inside fun pool area. Max depth 1.4m, wave pool every 30 mins, 2hour slots with wristbands and a tannoy system to let you know when it's over. 3 big slides and several other small ones. Fair prices for adults and kids, around the same as a cinema trip on a Saturday.

Absolutely Filthy !! Visited during the summer holidays. It was shockingly filthy. As soon as we walked into the changing room area, we could smell the strong stench of urine (and it wasn't from the toilets!). The floor was disgusting. There was black grime everywhere, soggy paper, food, crisp packets, clumps of hair. I was glad I brought my swim shoes so not to walk barefooted. And don't even mention the toilets. The place obviously hadn't been cleaned in days. The leisure centre was on the same par as the swimming pool. The seating area floor was full of litter with trays of food left on the tables. The price for a 90 minute swim for 2 adults and a toddler was £26 which is shocking given the state of the facilities. I shall definitely not be returning . I hope Guildford leisure centre use the high fees they charge to pay for more cleaners.

I'm sad to give a review that is negative but that's what they are for. In general the facilities of the Spectrum are out dated and run down from food on the floor and unsanitary toilets. The amount of money as parent and customers we pump on to this place we never see the facilities improving. There are only two food venders in the hole place and over priced for what you get. Ice rink only:There is nothing better than skating, the rink has done some upgrades to the new seating area. Needs hot food again. Staff are super friendly and there willingness to help. We own our own skates and the Yong man doing the sharpening of the skate is very good you tell him your cut and he hit the mark ever time. Value for money 4\5 Staff 4\5 Food 2\5 vending machine Toilet 3\5 in need of a revamp

Enter the changing rooms at your own risk, they are filthy. You definitely need flip flops to wade through the mud, hair, food, plasters, tissues and other unidentifiable litter that is everywhere. Combine that with cold showers and a mouldy cold pool and you will be counting down the seconds until you can leave. The star goes to the staff who were helpful and pleasant.

Brilliant experience from start to finish. Clean, easy to access swimming pool. Perfect for kids. Not over-crowded space to enjoy. Water was a good temperature. Staff were helpful and polite. Everything was clean and well organised. Loved it!

The leisure pool is fantastic; in our first visit it was thoroughly enjoyed by the children; plenty to keep them engaged and entertained with numerous slides accessible to all those >1m in height. The sprinklers, waves etc all thoroughly enjoyable. Understandably the centre is very popular, particularly on weekends and holidays. Parking is plentiful and the seating area is equally spacious. A suggestion would be to make accessing the changing areas simpler as it gets quite chaotic.

Re- visited this leisure centre after a few years. Booked ice-skating and swimming. Both session where 90 mins each and cost us around £90. Large rink with seats for spectators. Skate hire is extra so be aware of this when booking!!!!! Facility’s at the rink where clean and staff where efficient. Swimming pool was busy as school holidays. 3 larger slides plus a racing slides and a big area for younger children. The pool was good and you are able to use the main pool as well (my children who are club swimmers and literally swimming lengths and very strong swimmers where told off for using an empty swimming lane) the changing rooms where incredibly dirty! The toilets where covered in bits of toilet roll which was obviously too big to fit the holder so every time u pulled some off it came off in tiny pieces!!! Was gross esp with no shoes on! The state of the floor across the whole changing rooms was disgusting! Understandably it was busy but there was food, rubbish, dirt even a pair of dirty pants on the floor! Witnessed a staff member with a water mop/mover literally walk over a load of rubbish on the floor! As regular visitors of pools and leisure centres this was by far the dirtiest changing facilities I’ve ever come across! The pool in general is great esp for young families but the cleanliness needs to be addressed esp in busy times!

Excellent facilities for swimmers and non swimmers alike, literally everyone and anyone will enjoy this rather marvelous sports centre. The only criticism I can make is the cafe is way too small and at times cannot cope with the customer demand. Massive car parking with lots of kids and disabled space available, easy to find on the outskirts of Guildford. Highly recommended.

only reviewing the rink, as that’s the only thing i use. Great sized rink with generally well cut and maintained ice. They probably let too many people skate during public sessions, especially near Christmas. Super well organised ice hockey events too. The lockers are just 20p still - i bet that’s what they were like when they were first installed! Toilets are a bit hit and miss. Love spending time here!

Great all in one place for the family. The kids swimming pool with slides and water park type features - including wave machine which seems to come on every hour is a winner. There is so much to do here to keep kids entertained too - ice skating, bowling, slot racing. There is also a professional ice hockey team you can watch matches of here. There is lots more I have missed off. Also cafes for snacks to refuel after burning off all those calories. Lots of free parking for those using the centre. Definitely worth a visit.

I've been going here since I was a child and now I go with my daughter. It's even better now than it was when I was little! Huge, free car park so there's always somewhere to park. So much to do here, bowling, ice skating, soft play etc and the swimming pool is probably one of best in the country with all the flumes and wave pool etc, great day out with the kids! Not expensive either.

The kids soft play here is very large and there are adults-only access routes so your little one is never stuck in an inaccessible area. There aren't any loos nearby however, so if your child needs to go best to force it before hand or you'll miss half the session. Also no baby change facilitie in that portion of the complex

Brilliant place to work and visit!!! Soft Play regularly clean and tidy and always loads to do!! Pools are clean and very spacious and always fun!! Bowling is great with 32 lanes and a diner!!! Ice skating is always a fun one and if you don’t have skates and it’s your first time then there’s skate rental and penguins to hold onto. Gym newly refurbished and has more than enough to choose from with spa facilities too!!! 10/10 I would definitely say!!

Plenty of parking the spaces are a little compact though. Big swimming pools with excellent equipment for all ages and even a recent toddler/baby area. Tunnel sides and raft sides for older kids and adults. Full sized ice rink with skate hire the home of the ice hockey team "The Guildford Flames". We went between Christmas and New Year's and they added snow machines to the ice rink for a proper Christmas feel 😊. There is also a bowling alley downstairs! It's one of the biggest lesuire facilities in Surrey with something for everyone!

Took my kids here for my youngest daughters birthday. Swimming bowl and ice skating. Was a fantastic day. The kids all absolutely loved it. Staff were friendly. The facilities were fairly clean ( as clean as they could be while being in constant use). Overall a really good day. Would be 5 star if the food options were better quality and more reasonably priced. Not many of the kids enjoyed the food. However as an experience on a total everyone was happy

We visited on a later Sunday session, with the boiling weather we thought it would be painfully busy but it wasn't too bad. My youngest has additional needs so loves all the things in the shallows and small slides, though he even braved the wave machine with my partner 😊 lots to do slide wise for my oldest. The changing rooms weren't amazingly clean in the family ones, but we chalked that up to being very late in the day. Oh, and we tried 3 of the vending machines in reception, for drinks and treats, it wouldn't take mine or my partners card, another lady was having issues too.

Attending the Cinderella On Ice and the 1/3 of the rink is blocked from view by the seating on the ice. These seats were not at a reduced price because of a partial view, they were full price. Complete con. A birthday gift for a family member ruined by the venue trying to pack in as many seats as possible.

Tenpin Bowling at the the Spectrum. Fantastic bowling experience. Plenty of lanes. Nice atmosphere, very clean, food and drinks available and we'll organised.

We only come here if we are going swimming, this is the only nice and fun place to go swimming with kids and my 4 and 10 year old love it. We've been bowling before too and gone on the soft play (a few years ago though) and the kids enjoyed that too. You could spend all day there, there's swimming, ice skating, soft play and bowling, all under one roof, perfect!

  • 3/5 Natasha 1 year ago on Google
A variety of activities to do, they do not have a cash machine which is frustrating when you bowl as the children often want to play on the arcade machines . Soft play would get a much better review if they were to deep clean the place, children are messy I understand but aster the pandemic you would think places like this would be throughly cleaned after each session Pools are lovely, however changing rooms are less than desirable, the just need cleaning! I recommend wearing swim shoes if visiting.

My 14 yr old nephew, son and 5 yr old son had an amazing time at the swimming pool, 1 big flume, 2 slides and some lazy river looking area were closed but still had a great time. The fact the water in areas are so warm is amazing! Best pool I've been to since water palace in the 90s lol.
