There are a few good old boys working here who actually know how to do their job and very helpful, but at other times the ticket office is closed even though there is a member of staff hovering entrance who doesn't even seem to be paying attention.

Obviously I can't base my review on the train service, which veer from okay to shockingly awful.... but the staff here are always friendly and helpful when I leave or arrive. They also seem to keep the place tidy, cleaning up after the dirty scum who feel the need to dump their rubbish on the floor despite their being bins on both platforms.

Disgraceful staff. The booking office is never open despite the clerk swanning around out the front. Arrived in good time to amend reservations on A PROPER TRAIN OPERATING COMPANY for this staff member to say you'll have to go to Sutton despite having amended tickets here before. Shocking regard to service within a customer service role.

My experience of this station was great! This station seemed very simple for the amount of trains that go here, ranging from Thameslink trains that go all the way around the Sutton loop and trains that go into London which are both southern and Thameslink. With some going to Victoria and others to London bridge and beyond. There is bike racks here however as another review suggests you may want to be careful even during daylight hours when locking your bike here. There is also trains to Dorking and Epsom from this station. This station is step-free and the lifts looked brand new which was a massive bonus and the subway was very clean. Another bonus was the toilets seemed very clean too! This station had quite a nice entrance with bus stops! Overall, this is a pleasant station! And is great at providing connections to London and other destinations along the line.

Very rude lady in ticket office. Get a job that doesn't require customer service as you are incapable! Experienced a good train service.

Rude man in ticket office. Asked him for help and he spoke to us like we were stupid.

Very helpful staff member. He looked up where I was going on his phone and gave me precise directions.

There is parking space for few cars. Drop and pickup is nice.

Lovely place to live.....

I don't usually use trains, as when I do I'm normally confused on how to pay and what trains to get on, fortunately for me today I met the most friendly helpful gateline assistant who gave me all the information I needed to get me to my destination on time and even planned my return journey, as it was to a different station on a different line, thank you Rob Joel much appreciated.

It's a standard railway station. Not much to praise or complain about. Does have partly covered platforms, a vending machine, couple of benches and a waiting room. Some days in the morning, there's also a hot drinks van in front of the station.

Beware bicycle thieves operate here. Left my bicycle at this charming station on a Sunday after noon. It was stolen between 3-4 pm so the day light hours were still light had it two locks both of which were cut. Submitted a report to the police online as expected nothing forth coming. Bit sad since I did a lot of maintenance to the bike.
