From the beginning to the end, the lads came to collect my uncle in the early hours of the morning. They went above and beyond. They was all very understanding. Informative and nothing was too much. Ed is incredible at what he does. Very approachable, understanding and helped us flawlessly navigate our sons funeral when the chain funeral directors were giving us a difficult time. He arranged the funeral in no time. He managed everything so well with his son Josh on the day and we are eternally grateful. Fantastic service. Nothing was too much trouble to make the last journey for our dad a completely personalised experience. Organising funerals is not a task anyone faces happily but I could not have asked for a better experience than that which I had with Brunskill. From the first phone call in the middle of the night on a bank holiday, collection of body from our home through to the day of the funeral, praise does not do justice to this family of funeral directors. Both Ed and Josh are so friendly, warm and courteous, allowing us plenty of time to discuss our needs for my husbands funeral. We listened to their advice and used every aspect of that advice to have the funeral that we wanted and fitted to my husband to a T. In the couple of weeks following the funeral Ed checked in to see how we were getting on. Finally In what is a very stressful and upsetting time, Ed and Josh made everything run smoothly.

This was my first experience of organising a funeral. I had found 2 or 3 other options, one of those was even a recommendation, but something didn't sit right in my gut so I wasn't 100% happy to go with any of those. I continued my search as I decided I wanted an independent local, family business that was not part of the corporate machinery. I landed on Brunskill's website, liked what I read and made contact. In my first conversation with Ed, I had that feeling I'd been looking for, a content confidence that I'm happy to choose Brunskill to manage my Dad's funeral. Ed didn't try to upsell me anything - something that I noticed straight away with another company - he quoted me for what I'd asked for and then also sent through so much really useful information on hymns and all sorts of things. He was so easy to communicate with and so contactable at all times whether text, phone or Whatsapp! He has the exact right tone that you need to hear when you're dealing with something so horrific as saying goodbye to someone you loved so much. Even though Ed has been doing this for many years, he does not sound jaded or nonchalant about your loved one, he sounds like he cares and sympathises and empathises, in a genuine way. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Much as I don't want to have to make contact with him again for a long time, when the time comes, I will be straight back to Ed without hesitation.

Ed and Josh looked after all our needs after Dad’s passing. I cannot express highly enough the professionalism and understanding that they showed towards the whole family.
