Walk in clinic Physician referral service

😠 The receptionist was really rude and was trying to direct me to another center. I told her that this one is the closest to me and she told me that there is a Carnival today. I said that I know that because I was planing to go to the carnival before I got sick and she was like “oh you are sick and yo... I didn't know this was no-longer a walk-in centre when I turned up with an aching, unwalkable leg today. I was having a tough period in my life, was in unbearable pain, and struggled to move around - so the frustration hit me even more than usual. I called the reception whether there was still any appointment available. She didn't gave me an answer but she passed my details and asked me to wait at the door. I received a phone call from the nurse in 30mins. I was seen quickly, and was given great care and examination on the injury. I also receive very informative, professional advices on how to look after the injury. I didn't capture the name of the nurses (I believe the names are Marie and Sandy? The two ladies in Consulting Room 2 &3). I was given an X ray without too much wait too. I wanted to leave a review here and say thank you to all the staff helped me today! I understand it is not always easy for medical professionals to manage waiting time etc. But you have treated me today with kindness, care and patience, and those were the very things I needed at that very moment (both to the injury, and to the difficulties in my life recently.)

The receptionist was really rude and was trying to direct me to another center. I told her that this one is the closest to me and she told me that there is a Carnival today. I said that I know that because I was planing to go to the carnival before I got sick and she was like “oh you are sick and you were planing to go to the carnival” I was genuinely shocked. She had an African accent and the rudest person I have ever spoken to. I don’t think she should be allowed to work with the public!

Kind, caring, empathic and amazing, Eileen and Irene epitomise the values of the NHS and today restored my faith in humanity. Diamonds in the long grass, look hard enough and you will spot them. Truly, they were so kind to me in my hour of need, my partner was suffering chronic pain after a recent leg amputation from the sutures being left in ( our GP practice is less than 5 mins walk from the urgent care centre yet in a week they never told us, ignored all requests from the hospital and district nurses to remove them - North Kensington Medical Centre - BEWARE OF THEM) 12 days overdue. Eileen and Irene know this we will be forever grateful to you for your help today, you made a a patient with terminal cancer a very happy guy and i thanks you so much for going the extra mile. your a tight fit team and just incredible.

I've just had need to use this centre due to an accidental head injury. The service delivered by the team on duty was outstanding and second to non. I was lucky that it was relatively quiet but even so we arrived quite close to the last admission time and I was treated and patched up in a timely manor once all necessary tests were carried out. I was given advice of what to keep an eye on in the following hours and days. The very best example of our brilliant NHS. Thank you

Went to urgent care, the waiting time was few minutes which was great and the reception was kind. However, the lady doctor was horrific, did not listen to the problem and was hell bent for us to leave without a proper diagnosis. Plus her being loud and rude did not help.

Really recommend this facility. Nurse practitioners are calm, experienced and caring. Had a very nasty accident on tube last week and was dealt with thoroughly and with compassion. Also suggested follow up actions. Even got a follow up call the next morning. That was really nice but also helpful because it provided practical advice for day to day management of pain and stuff like getting washed and dressed. Have used in the past to good effect as well. Complete contrast to dire experience at A&E in another hospital the previous evening which would have meant a five hour wait had I stayed around!

Excellent facility. I cut my hand last week and required stitches. After attempting to receive care from a separate a&e hospital, where the wait time was so bad that I left, I came to St Charles and received highly efficient and thorough care. The staff were professional and compassionate, ensuring that I received x-rays and the necessary tests, rather than just stitching me up as quickly as possible. Wait times were minimal and the facility itself was clean and nice.

To who it may concern Today Tuesday 8th August 2023, After yet another failure by my GP surgery, I had Acacian to visit urgent care, walk-in centre at St. Charles Square I haven’t never used a facility like this before I had low expectations Needless to say I have been overwhelmed by the excellence and dedication of two individuals. They are both nurse practitioners and they have gone above and beyond in caring for me today. I have never been more grateful to another person as I have been today. my experience of this excellent NHS facility started with the very polite and efficient receptionist and the first nurse practitioner who saw me whilst I am unsure of her name. She identified her colleague who I have undying appreciation. For this individual took the time between patience to care for me. she was polite, efficient professional and went above and beyond to care for me, making do with what she had. She was able to sort out my feet and legs, which I was told that I would have to wait until an emergency referral could be made to a specialist medical department, but Eileen Carneye - Jone my superstar, nurse practitioner who is not having this. She put me in a side room and treated me in between other clients. As I would need extra time. There are no words to say how great and wonderful this lady is she took the steps necessary so that my urgent referral was no longer necessary. Not just saying your referral has been rejected. She left me feeling in such a high of emotion and appreciation for five stars 10 out of 10 just does not cut it an angel in grey from the bottom of my heart, I’m truly thankful, you have done in an hour and a half what my GP surgery has been avoiding to do for the last four months plus

One morning at 7am waiting in my van for the minor injuries unit to open, i asked a lady about the parking and got on to why i was here, i explained, anyway it turns out that this lovely lady called Eileen Carney Jones, said right come with me, i did, and she took my stitches out, i mean what a lovely caring experience it was if everybody was as kind as she was, what a beautiful world it would be. Thank you so much Eileen,

After a bad sprain last night, I called 111 and they triaged me to get urgent care at St Charles. An appointment set at 10:30 allowed me to get checked and X-rayed in 30 minutes with 0 waiting time. Very efficient process and friendly, professional staff.

No Doctors and only two aggressive nurses who told us why we are here we meant to go the A&E, they don’t know the difference between viral induced wheezing and Asthma also they don’t know how use inhalers. They threaten us if we ever go back there. Unprofessional behaviour and uneducated nurses

I couldn’t ask for more care as the one i got from doctor Yvette at the emergency centre. With the help of the nurse they checked my symptoms in a cool but very professional way. After she prescribed the medication, she advised me on how to deal with the problem in the future and to follow up with my GP. Receptionists were helpful and wait time is okay! Thankyoouu

Based on my past experience at another NHS walk in, I came super prepared today with a portable charger, snacks, water, earpiece for the long wait. I was pleasantly surprised that my experience at St Charles was so different! It could be due to the time (I arrived around 9am on a Friday) so there were only 2-3 people in the waiting area. I waited around 5minutes before I was called in for a quick assessment, and then waited another 15minutes before I saw another doctor I think her name was Eileen or Irene (apologies I’m not super sure). She was really nice, gentle and professional in her interaction and instruction. Honestly very happy that I was able to receive consultation and prescription so quickly, a positive experience! Top choice if I need to urgently see a doctor. Thank you :)

The staffs are amazing!! Due to the strike situation these nurses and doctors deserve a pay rise or a medal for their amazing work and fantastic service due to shortest of staffs.

Eileen was a wonderful help when I visited recently with my kidney infection. I was very sick and she recognised this and rang the hospital so I would see the right people fast when I got there. She was thorough and caring.

Both of my parents received their first jab just a few weeks ago and I can't praise everyone enough. The whole process was quick and smooth! Plus everyone there was super friendly, helpful and willing to answer any questions regarding the vaccine or the vaccination process. All in all keep up the good work and thank you for the excellent service!
