I'm having food from here since my childhood. Located on Amherst Street of North Calcutta, you can put Padma Restaurant in Kolkata cabin category. Till date they serve great quality food those are amazing value for money. ** Must Have Dishes -------------------------------------- Veg Chop, Devil, Paratha & Chilli Chicken, Moghlai & Mutton Kasha are highly recommend. Rs.200 is enough for 2 people to have 2-3 items and its tummy filling for an average person. They also serve Chowmein & Fried Rice in Chinese with the punch of black pepper in these dishes. They also serve Biryani that is average in taste. Only thing they can improve is the cleanness and ambiance of the cabin. A must visit if you love the cabin culture of North Kolkata.

I am visiting this restuarant from my childhood. I am so fond of it . It may not look beautiful nice and tidy from outside. Bt the food is delicious. I personally like their mixed fried rice the most . It contains ample amount of chicken, egg and prawns in every bite. They serve a good quantity in a reasonable price. Most importantly in occasions too they don't compromise the food quality. Their fish fry is also great. Actually the snacks are definite try here. In covid times they do not allow to sit and eat . Only parcel available. Do visit. Highly recommended.

Heritage place for the Original taste of Bangali Restaurant food... Maintaining the taste since 200yrs... Serves as restaurant as well as a catering service! Fish Fries are the signature must try here.... Followed by Indie Chinese dishes for a Foodgasm... But still the Fish fries are never enough When visiting Say Hi to the new upcoming Gen Surajit!

Modest restaurant for people near city college areas (mainly), some dishes are really delightful.... Since lockdown, it's a takeaway counter only....

Located beside amherst street , just 200 m away from the famous fatakesto kali puja. This place is great fro casual eating. Pros- Cost effective. Good taste. The portion size is good. Service is quick. Cons - Cash only place. Payment section has queue , can take time. Not very hygenic . Overall a good place for old calcutta vibes and cabin style casual eating.

Old eatery but their food is quite delicious. I love their Fish fry very much. Don't judge this place by how it looks. Food is cheap and tasty.

The only good thing about the place is their fish fry. The service is very poor, the hygiene of the place is quite dissatisfactory. You can clearly feel the oil and smell on the glasses they serve for water. You cannot pay on-line (upi) they only accept cash. For take away this can be a good place as foods are cheap here, not sure about the quality.

All good in a cheap manner like no bill, only cash, no tissue paper etc . You will feel a small town dhaba in Kolkata.

It’s an old cabin restaurant in Central Kolkata. The food is good, but they should come out of that age old β€œCASH ONLY” mentality in this modern age.

Soul and soulful food. Scrumptiousness drizzls in every bite. The only place in Kolkata that boasts of delish bhetki fries and dimer devil and vegetable chops along with Kobiraji, chownein and moghlai paratha.

One of the best Restaurant for Mughlai Paratha (Moglai Parota) in Amherst Street area. It offers mughlai and Chinese cuisine along with india dishes. Budget friendly restaurant. Now a days only take away service is available. Special Recommendation: Mughlai Paratha. One can also try chicken fried rice, chicken kosha and paratha.
