This used to be my favorite place for Indian food. It’s really gone downhill since covid. Service is like nonexistent. A quick lunch took an hour and 20 minutes … and the food prices are so freaking high- lunch portion, dinner prices. Honestly the food doesn’t even taste as good as it used to either. Kinda comes out luke warm

One of the largest Indian buffets I've ever been to. Helpful and friendly staff, ample seating and someone is always coming by to see if you need anything. Most of the buffet dishes were typical and flavorful. A few new selection caught my eye seeing as we don't have these at our buffets in Youngstown and all were extremely tasty. And at this price, it's a real barging. My only complaint was the food temps were kinda low and didnt make for the best dining experience but it was not a meal killer, seeing how frequently and quickly the buffet was replenished. I would recommend.

We drive over an hour each way just to get there - it's that good. Their buffet is excellent. (But you'll have to wait till it's fully open again to try it, sorry). They have a great selection of meat and vegetable dishes to choose from, and everything is favorable. We visited last weekend and they are open for patio dining - they have a great little patio out back. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful. If you leave hungry you did something wrong. The service was excellent, they have adapted well to the restrictions.

Me and a friend ate here around a week or 2 ago, I used to go occasionally but ever since covid and quarantine happened I stopped going out but I couldn't wait any longer. If your worried about safty dont be. This restaurant is hands down the safest place I've aten at. I don't think you could sick here even if you tried. They have a neat system where you call over the phone and order the food and once the food is ready you go sit outside and they bring it you in plastic containers with plastic silverware. Not the nicest looking but that way when your done they just throw everything away and they don't have to worry about reusing dishes. And the patio is so cute. There's plants and a little water feature with a little swing and lights with little patches of fake grass with all the tables having umbrella or screens. Its honestly so cute and nice looking it really look me by surprise . Also happy to report that the food is just as amazing as ever. Hands down best Indian food in ohio.

I was hoping for a lunch buffet in the time of Covid but was disappointed. Such is life now. The tikka masala was flavored well and tasty. The samosa and chutneys delicious. The naan was a little crunchy and too done. Price was reasonable ($25 for all this).

Pretty great spot for large portions and lots of options! Was honestly a little surprised at the lack of spice option while ordering online; every other Indian restaurant gives at least 3-4 different heat levels. Food was great and so was the service. Will be back regardless :)

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. I was lucky enough to have a lovely dining experience on their backyard patio. The restaurant has an excellent selection of wines and fantastic food. The winter squash salad with brown butter was mouthwatering and a dish to die for. Also, their pasta is dangerously delicious: I always want to order another pasta dish. I am looking forward to going back to this place. And they employed cats.

One of our new favorite spots! We were walking by and saw a sign to join them on the patio. From the front it just looks like a little cafe, but we knew there had to be more. Turns out...this place has amazing, home made food and quality service in a very relaxing and chill environment. They also have a small take out menu for fresh products. It's pretty brilliant, really. It allows the chef to continuously have fresh items without as much waste. The hostess was sweet...told us there weren't any tables outside, but she had the (open air) window table available. Since we can get kind of loud, it was a perfect locationfor us... out of the way with a cool breeze and a view. Our server Nicole made the experience for us though. She was friendly, witty, professional, funny and had a playful nature. She chose our food for us and we couldn't have been happier. The cocktails were thoughtfully prepared and not pretentious. The pastas were incredible and the desserts were just what they needed to be. I truly cant wait to go back. Thank you Nicole 💛

In a word: mediocre. I’m not sure what exactly went wrong, service was good and the menu/reviews all seemed solid. Every dish on the tasting menu just missed for us, nothing was bad but nothing was good either. The restaurant was very cramped but did not feel romantic or intimate.

Order if you want to waste your money. I order chicken biryani and chicken curry . Chicken curry was like sambar mixed with rice and few chicken chunks. And chicken curry was pure tomato curry with chicken chunks with no spice or flavor. Probably the word Indian food I have ever had.

Inside is nice and the staff is very friendly. They had a special masala mojito that I tried and it was delicious. The achar and veggie appetizer were excellent! I ordered the bhindi masala, and while the flavor was good, this recipe was drier and didn’t have any sauce. I could see some people liking that though but I like a little bit of sauce. My husband got a chicken dish with mango and enjoyed that!

From the uk originally so well usedto eating curry as its our staple. Tried ordering a Madras and the woman looked like she didnt know what it was? Eaten curry all over the world but this place was different. Food ended up being great but the keema naan was the weirdest ive ever had and hardly any meat in it considering the price plus it was very greasy like it had been lightly fried. The meat was cooked from frozen which was a let down aswell as u expect fresh meat from a decent restaurant. I will defo go back though as finding curry here in Akron is hard to find.

First time there, and I just grabbed some dinner for pickup, but the staff helping me was very nice and polite and engaged in casual conversation during the payment process. Since I didn't sit down to eat, I didn't get a detailed look inside, but the restaurant area looked bright, clean, and had a relaxing vibe. As for the food, I greatly enjoyed what I ordered. Everything dry was neatly wrapped in parchment and foil, which I liked as an alternative to plastic takeout containers. The bullet Naan was soft, savory, and incredibly spicy, but I'll assure you, the tears in my eyes were from how delicious it tasted. The chicken vindaloo was amazing, as well. Perfectly spiced with the most tender chicken that I've had in a while. Definitely coming back for more, and definitely excited to try more new foods.

I’ve been here a few times before. The food has always been top-notch and good service. But this last time the food didn’t have much spice at all. No heat. And service was below average. We were the first ones to be seated on Sunday and our meal came out after four other couples had gotten their food. Not sure where the disconnect was in the wait staff. But it was disappointing. And then when the food did come out, it didn’t have much spice to it. That was also disappointing. Not sure if I’ll be coming back because this place has really fallin’ off!

I feel this needs to put out - my family went there a few months ago. They had called to check if there were tables available, the restaurant confirmed there was but upon arrival the OWNER , SHE had a very rude tone and said to my family there there are no seats available and only delivery is possible. After a lot of discussion the OWNER all of a sudden said in a very rude way seats are available. This is not the way any restaurant owner is suppose to behave with any customer. My point is the food was great but it's not worth going to a place like this if your customer service from the owner or the way you communicate with the customer is beyond disgusting.

Can anybody tell me the recipe of Malai tandoori chicken ? Have you ever heard that tomato sauce (Maggie tomato sauce kinda) is added to “MALAI” chicken? It tasted like red tomato sauce chicken and it was horrible. Other two items that we ordered were okay, the quality of food was okay but Mialai Chicken isn’t supposed to have tomato sauce!! We literally were laughing the entire time instead of getting angry because the confidence that this restaurant has, lol!!! Stop feeding people who don’t know about Indian food wrong items!! Like they wouldn’t know, so don’t do wrong representation!! Look at the picture of “Malai” chicken!!

I'm not normally one to write a review but the experience at Daisies was too wonderful to not share. First of all, Yasmin killed it- best server hands down (sorry everyone else). Secondly, the food was amazing. We were here to celebrate my birthday and my mother (who does not like pasta) loved the experience & food. She was still talking about it today! We practically ordered the whole menu & shared everything and I can't say there was something I didn't like. It's also very hard to pick a favorite! I will add that every person we had an interaction with was very nice & the staff in general takes Covid seriously. If you're worried about leaving your home to go into to a restaurant, don't be- go here.

The ambiance is cozy and we went in on-peak hours but we were seated immediately. The staff was friendly and prompt. They proactively offer refills. The side dishes were yum and plateful and the egg were delicious. Servings were appropriate and service was quick. We would definitely go back!

In terms of their food, every dish was excellent and I love the fact that they source locally where they can. Our table started with the Onion Dip, Herb Salad and Cauliflower. The flavors in all three were amazing. I am gluten sensitive and they import GF pasta from Italy. The Gnocchi dish was great. The Chitarra was out of this world and I highly recommend.

Unfortunately had issues with the website but was able to order via Caviar (where the menu is limited). You can also order by phone from 10am if you have issues. Did the (limited) lunchbox deal - the wagyu sandwich was delicious and the lunchbox is a nice touch.

The staff was very accommodating, got me in without a reservation. As I walked into the place I though it was a little pretentious. The server was nice and recommended that I ordered 3 entries per person, which I thought was a bit much. I ordered the Overpriced Tomato to start. It stated that it had bone marrow but I didn't find it anywhere on my dish. However the tomatoes were super fresh, and the bread was out of this world. I would go back to try more.

Why does any restaurant use a third party vendor to take orders for them on line? And especially for pickup???!!! And specifically why does Daisies use Tock? We love Daisies and would love for them to not just survive but thrive! Today we discovered that you cannot use a Daisies gift card when placing an order at Daisies on Tock! No problem, just call them up and place your order over the phone, right? Nope..... you can't do that. You can only place an order for them on Tock! For those who would still like to use your gift card for a pick up order, here is how you have to do it. Call them up..... Explain what you want to the person who works there, at the restaurant, who can't take your order! Read them the 16 digit number from your gift card to them over the phone. They will write it down or type it into their system (the note pad or system they used to use when they could take your order over the phone). Then go on line and place your order on Tock! They have promised me that when my order comes up on their system, the one they used to be able to take your order over the phone on, they will apply your gift card. Would somebody please explain to me how, why this is better? At least, I assume Tock is paying Daisies for complicating on line order taking, forcing Daisies from taking orders over the phone, and irritating their customers, right? (Fat chance!) Second question. (Rhetorical), Now that I have used Tock once, because I had no other option if I wanted to order from Daisies, how do I get Tock to stop bombarding me with junk email!? Third Question. define Kafkaesque?

Beware of their overpriced price gauging and extremely small portions. The best example is their Thanksgiving offer: “Customers can purchase a la carte dishes in store or order a $240 dinner for four. For those who’d rather cook, the meal is available as a $180 reheatable kit.” The owner, who has a bad reputation around Logan, wants to charge $60 during a recession to reheat your food for you. Lol.

  • 1/5 Jennifer R. 3 years ago on Google
Extremely unprofessional head chef/owner, I love supporting Logan Square farm to table restaurants but I cannot support a restaurant that retaliates against customers giving constructive feedback with rude pretentiousness. Go to Lula Café or Osteria Langhe nearby for the same quality & same culinary (decades-old) concept with even better food. Sort by lowest reviews first to see I am not alone in my poor feedback and service experience. You’ll even see a rude comment reply from an owner. Disgraceful that they state they simply don’t care about poor experiences with such inflated pricey small portions. Read: greed.

1st time with takeout for lunch. The sandwiches are great! Had the chicken parm and sweet potato panini and potato salad on the side. My only comment about the chicky chicky parm parm is that tomato flavor is less than one would expect compared to a "traditional", but the kale adds a welcomed acidity.

This place has great food and a lovely staff— attentive and so kind!!! I absolutely love the farm to table concept. Fresh ingredients and a menu that changes with the seasons. I can’t wait to see what they come up with in the summer. Portions were on the smaller side, however our waiter (Seth, great guy) suggested we do one appetizer and entree per person. Pasta is filling, so either way I think it works out. Great restaurant to enjoy a special occasion and indulge in the goodness!

Funky spot. Interesting menu. Unique drinks. Potatoe wedges, meh, not bad, nothing special. Pastas, delicious. We tried the carbonara and tagliatelle. One dish came out cold, but they were extremely nice about it and quickly replaced it with a fresh dish. For dessert, blueberry pancakes. Very much homemade and wonderful. Try the beet old fashioned. I was skeptical, but was pleasantly satisfied. Great service. Enjoy!

Amazing Food, would highly recommend.. The chicken korma is my favorite. Been there about 7 times now and every time it's as amazing as the time before. The food is high quality and they get it to you quick. It's a little pricey but well worth it. The staff is as amazing as the food, all of them are very nice and helpful. Also, you can pick the amount of spice you get, so you don't have to worry about it being too spicey or not spicey enough.

We ordered carryout. The main courses, the buttered chicken and the saag paneer, were delicious. The paneer had a great texture, not rubbery at all. The rice was really flavorful and light. Unfortunately the samosas and the vegetable fritters were not good. They tasted like they were fried in old oil that was too hot. I've had samosas from Bombay Sitar that were fantastic. They just missed the mark this time. It's still the best Indian food in town.

First time trying this place, delivery order. Timing was good from start to delivery. The rice is the best I’ve ever had. Like for real delicious! The veggie app platter was sadly a disappointment. Just overcooked. What we did try to eat was all spiced Very Similarly so it didn’t feel like a sampler like it should. Maybe got left in the fryer by accident and they didn’t want to cook it again and delay it? Sauces were just on the side and we had no idea what went with what but trying them out was interesting. Would try again but would avoid the app or other fried items I think.

I've never tried Indian food before, but at the suggestion of a coworker, decided to try Bombay Sitar one day at lunch. They had many options to choose from, and I decided to go with the chicken tikka masala. Many pieces of tender, white meat chicken were mixed with green peppers in a delicious buttery cream sauce. It came with a big bowl of fluffy white rice, which was perfect to pour the masala over. I chose to have mild seasoning; hot and Indian hot are also available. The portion matched the price, and left me comfortably full the rest of the afternoon. I also ordered some "naan" (Indian bread) and "kheer" (rice pudding). The naan was perfect for dipping in the excess sauce from the masala, while the rice pudding added a subtly sweet ending to the meal. Currently, they are offering carry out, patio seating, and delivery. I did carryout, which was a smooth and easy process. I will definitely be back!

I've been going to this place for over a decade! Never once has the meal been anything but fantastic. I'm blessed to live near Bombay Sitar. I've had Indian food at plenty of restaurants on vacation in a whole host of cities and I'm convinced the best Indian food is right in my back yard. If you're visiting or live here and haven't tried this place, do yourself a favor and be prepared for an awesome meal!

Service has always been very friendly. Food is pretty good, not the best Indian I've had but consistently good. Last time I ordered my dish medium and it was unbelievably hot, happened to my friends as well. We were told the chef had a heavy hand with the spice so I knocked it down from my usual medium-hot and I'm glad I did as I could hardly handle it. But other than that, solid place and would go again.

One of our most favored places. The food is always well prepared. The vegetarian selection is excellent. The mango lassi brings a smile. A restaurant table with a fresh white cover, metal flatware, and a generous glass of water sans ice makes the stop worthwhile. The portion size fills one up and still leaves some for take away. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive from start to finish, great service.

My wife and I came to hang out at Bombay Sitar over the weekend when we visited our hometown -- there's decidedly ZERO Indian cuisine where we live, which is a TRAVESTY. Bombay Sitar fills that gap and then some. Everything was cooked perfectly, and we walked away with smiles. The wait staff is friendly if a touch brief -- we liked that, as we tend to want to be left alone for the most part. The food was cooked perfectly, and was absolutely delicious. So, if you've never tried Indian food, or if you love it like we do, or if you're just looking for a decent spot for your next date... look no further! Bombay Sitar is a great place to eat.

Bummer the lunch buffet is gone as it’s the best Indian buffet I’ve ever been to. I moved out of state and this is the place I look forward most to eating at while visiting. Even out of state I haven’t found an Indian restaurant I enjoy more. Everything is delicious but I really enjoy all the vegetable entrees.

Usually eat here every month. Very friendly staff. Great tasting food. Always the same reliable service. I tell lots of friends to visit. Give it a try. We even take our daughters and they are very picky about food.

This place will make me come back for seconds. the Food is great , service outstanding, atmosphere is what you expect from an ethnic restaurant. Very clean place even the bathrooms. The waitress Divia ( I hope I’m spelling it well) was very kind and the great smile brings a good charm to the service. I had the mild Tandoori dark chicken and Garlic nann bread. I also I had their hot tea. First time trying this kind of tea and I liked it very much, it has a sorts of spicy taste to it, almost like black pepper taste, allspice, cardimon??? I don’t know, but very good!!

Very good. Authentic Indian food. Butter chicken medium spicy was delicious. Fried vegetable appetizer was enough to share. Garlic naan was excellent. Very soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.

We hadn't been here before, and most of us had never had Indian food before. But, the service was awesome and our server patiently explained our options and guided us as we made our selections. Our food was all quite good and our families had a great time.

It was my very first time trying indian cuisine. This was recommended by so many people in the area. I took my family from out of town, and they absolutely loved it! Very friendly and welcoming; the food was so fresh and delicious! I like that they ask you the levels of spicy you want per dish . I wanted to taste everything! Our server was so kind and understood that, too! She went above and beyond to make the visit an awesome experience, and I will be back very soon!

Happened to be in the area and was hungry , so figured why not try this place out...I'm so glad I did!! I got an eggplant dish, I think it's called Baingan barta, it was absolutely delicious!! It was so good! It was a bit spicy for me, even though I ordered mild, but was still wonderful! The service was great! Fast and friendly, explained the dishes to me, since I wasn't familiar. Had a great tasting chai masala iced tea on the server's recommendation. Pretty atmosphere. Wonderful experience! Would definitely go back . My dish was $15.95 , the bread is extra, around $3 , would be nice if it was included, but again, loved it all so much it was definitely worth it!

We really miss the lunch buffet. The appetizers were overcooked but everything else was excellent! We tried the egg dish that is listed under a chicken. It was something new to us and we really enjoyed it. Also Get some poori!

Very pleasant experience, went with a group of 5 and had no problems, even with being new to the restaurant as a couple were, they were very graceful at allowing us enough time to order and with well explained dishes. Great experience. Revisit will definitely happen.

I unfortunately must rate them at 1 star for their rudeness and lack of restaurant etiquette. We were two couples eating dinner when the restaurant decided to start cleaning the carpet. It was 40 minutes till close. Are you telling me you couldn't wait an additional 40 minutes to start the carpet scrubber? We could barely hear each other talking at the table. RIDICULOUS. First time here, won't come back. The only positive note would be the waitress. She alone is the reason for the 4 stars for service.

It's a great spot to eat. I miss the buffet because of the variety of food opportunities. The appetizer was the meat samosa with chutney and tamerin sauces. The entree was lamb biryani with Naan bread and yogurt with an Indian heat level. Plenty hot, plenty tasty, and a plentiful portion size. Couldn't give the entree a five, but I will note it was close to it. The atmosphere is very nice and the place is very clean. The server was nice and attentive.

We placed our order, and I was nervous when the waitress didn't write it down. I ordered extra spicy, and my husband ordered mild. When it came out the meals spiciness was opposite how we ordered. I was also missing part of the order. No one ever checked on us, so to just deal with it my husband and I switched plates. The Naan bread that we got was plain and not the garlic type that I ordered. By the end of the meal another women asked how it was and at that point it wasn't worth explaining it to her as she wasn't our waitress. I love their food , I was just really disappointed in the service. This isn't the first time it's happened.

First time coming. I had the chicken vindaloo. It was phenomenal! I came with a couple that that aren't only regulars, they have eaten there 3 times the same week. The food and atmosphere were great (clean, friendly, etc.). I will definitely be back. Especially with my fiance, which loves his spicy food.
