Punjab
Grill
has
expanded
quite
rapidly
in
the
recent
times
with
a
few
of
their
restaurants
opening
up
within
last
few
months.
Khan
Market
is
one
of
the
latest
addition
to
the
ever
increasing
list
of
restaurants
at
Khan
Market
but
a
very
few
of
them
focus
solely
on
North
Indian
cuisine
which
is
still
the
most
preferred
cuisine
of
families
in
Delhi.
The
ambience
of
the
place
is
quite
simple
yet
elegant.
The
small
nicely
designed
staircase
leads
you
to
the
place
which
might
seem
a
bit
small
and
cramped
up
but
once
you
settle
in
the
comfortable
leather
sofas,
you
are
bound
to
stop
complaining.
The
place
is
well
lit
even
during
lunch
hours.
Though
they
need
to
work
on
their
air
conditioning
which
wasn’t
too
effective
in
this
Delhi
heat
and
the
corner
seats
had
a
few
mosquitos
flying
which
needs
to
looked
after
by
the
management.
We
started
with
a
“Veg
Kebab
Platter”
which
looked
pretty
nice
and
consisted
of
Dahi
Moongfali
Ke
Kebabs,
Multani
Paneer
Tikka
&
Quinoa
Methi
Tikki.
The
dahi
ke
kebabs
were
so
soft
and
totally
melt
in
mouth
stuff.
Though
couldn’t
find
any
flavour
of
moongphali
in
the
kebabs
but
they
were
topped
up
with
an
almond.
The
Multani
paneer
tikka
was
as
usual
good
and
very
nicely
marinated
and
roasted.
The
quinoa
methi
tikki
is
for
the
ones
who
want
to
have
only
healthy
food
even
when
they
are
out
to
eat
in
a
restaurant.
The
tikkis
tasted
pretty
good
but
were
a
bit
on
the
drier
side.
The
“Jawar
Bajara
Chaat”
is
another
healthy
option
on
the
menu
but
can
be
easily
avoided
as
the
bajra
was
very
soggy
when
it
reached
us
and
the
overall
taste
was
also
unimpressive.
The
main
course
is
where
they
impressed
us
the
most.
We
tried
their
“Dal
Punjab
Grill”
&
“Paneer
Lababdar”.
The
Dal
Punjab
Grill
was
their
Dal
Makhani
and
it
was
quite
thick,
creamy
and
consistent.
The
paneer
lababdar
was
quite
good
too
though
would
have
liked
the
veggies
in
its
gravy
to
be
of
smaller
size
than
what
they
had
put.
The
lachha
parantha
was
nicely
cooked
but
the
amritsari
kulcha
for
some
odd
reason
looked
and
tasted
like
a
tawa
stuffed
parantha
and
really
be
worked
upon.
For
desserts
we
ordered
a
“Kashmiri
Kesar
Aur
Gulkand
Ki
Kheer”
&
“Gulab
Jamun”.
Both
the
desserts
were
presented
nicely
and
tasted
even
better
and
made
sure
that
we
ended
our
meal
on
a
nice
note.
We
also
ordered
a
drink
named
“Alkaline
Shikanjvi”
to
accompany
our
meal
which
was
served
in
a
very
tall
glass
and
was
one
of
their
speciality
and
a
nice
change
from
the
usual
shikanji.
The
service
was
very
slow
in
the
beginning
but
picked
up
later
and
they
took
care
of
our
table
very
nicely
post
that.
Overall,
Punjab
Grill
is
a
nice
addition
to
Khan
Market
which
is
a
bit
short
on
proper
authentic
North
Indian
places
where
you
can
take
your
family
for
a
dinner
after
a
short
shopping
session!
