I had to go here a few weeks ago, it was conveniently located close to work and had good reviews. I had to pay first which I thought was odd, then after seeing the doctor who wanted to order some extra cultures, I said fine sure. I was not notified that they will not give you your results with out paying for another appt nor did they let me know when the results were in. Now if your a doctor ordering tests for patients, part of your job is to give results. They will put your results in the portal but sorry I don't speak medical lingo. I have lost all faith in the medical community because they clearly can not be bothered to do their job.

Dr. Joanna is excellent, and I have seen her twice in the past 6 months. The staff is always extremely professional, with a great personality and amazing care. I highly recommend her and the whole staff at Midwest Express Clinic. Thanks for all of your help!

Terrible customer service. I went in because I have some skin tags that I need to be removed. The front desk employee said that she doesn’t think that they perform this service into their location. Well there is a sign on her front desk listing all services provided in this location and the skin tag/wart removal was listed among those services. I pointed this out to her and was like: “Oh yeah. So we remove skin rags then”. Then she proceeded to tell me that they are super busy and the wait time will be about one hour and a half at least. Yet I see only two people in the waiting room. Then she told me that they only have one provider and that I can just go to a different location. I asked if she knows whether the skin tags are being removed by cutting them off or burning them and she said that she doesn’t know. I am wondering what did she know in this case because she seemed like she didn’t know anything. She didn’t know that they provide the service, neither she knew how the service is performed. What does she know? Since how long she is working there and what is she getting paid for? She pretty much talked to me like she didn’t want to check me in and to let me receive the service and she was trying to send me away. This is by far the worst customer service I have received in a medical clinic.

I visited Midwest Express when I was feeling super sick this past week. I didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes for both of my visits (regardless of having an appointment) to get seen by a provider. The providers were incredibly kind, communicative and open to any of my questions. They were able to quickly take a X-ray in-office which is i’d say is pretty rare considering I was a walk-in. The whole process was seamless. They efficiently filled any necessary prescriptions immediately and personally called me with any test results. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m feeling under the weather!

The most ridiculous policy - you can’t make an appointment, and any walk ins who got there before your appointment get priority over you. If you need to get a COVID test, save yourself the hassle and go to Aayu clinic.

I was visiting a friend this weekend in Chicago, and I developed a bad tonsil infection. I was trying to find a minute clinic last minute so I could get antibiotics and hopefully recover enough to enjoy the rest of the weekend. After many failed attempts with other clinics, this clinic was able to see me! Not only that, they were so kind, fast, and gave me exactly what I needed. I’ve never had such friendly and genuine nurses/Physicians take care of me before. Keep up the good work :)

Staff is very friendly and efficient. From the registration to the medical assistant/nurse to the doctor. Everyone is very welcoming and work great as a team. I came in for some rapid testing. I was in and out of this clinic within the hour! Wonderful job Midwest Express Clinic! This is how a urgent care should be run! Side note: I was treated by Dr. Shtoyko and nurse Sarah.

Always a pleasant experience all things considering my daughter was in pain with an ear infection. The doctors are consistently friendly, energetic and informative. We especially love Dr. Jack! Sometimes the wait time minutes add up but all and all I will keep coming back.

This was, by far, THE most pleasant clinic experience I have ever had —thank you! The opportunity to fill out all paperwork online ahead of time was most welcome and helpful, the personnel were very kind and professional, and I was seen and treated with care and thoroughness, and in a very reasonable amount of time. I have been to this urgent care twice within 5 days and have received very professional and efficient care both times. In and out with a script placed in less than an hour. The front desk staff were also very helpful! Their hours are wonderful and I’ve been able to be seen by a professional within minutes both for a walk in and a regular appointment. My first visit here was after being turned away from two other urgent cares in the area who were no longer accepting walk ins for the evening. It was such a relief that MEC providers were able to see me rather than leading me to spending the evening in the emergency room or my symptoms worsening. My only wish is that they provided an after-care summary of sorts for patients to follow when they leave.

A surprisingly great experience! Paperwork was efficient, wait was not too long, and my doctor spent enough time with me to really listen. She was excellent, not in a rush and made it a priority to help me feel better ASAP. I appreciate her attention and care.

My visit to Midwest Express was very positive. The provider that saw me took his time examining me, asked me skit of questions and explained my symptoms. Understanding what I was experiencing was very helpful in my healing process because I was fearing the worst.

The front desk and medical staff were amazing! The atmosphere was very pleasant, clean, and the service was extremely efficient. I was in and out in less than 30mins. The bedside manners of the PA who treated me nearly brought me to tears with her warmth, patience, and genuine concern around my illness. If I’m ever in need of another visit, I’ll be heading back! Thanks again for the great experience and helping me feel better!

I was brought in from work where I was about to faint and had no idea why. I saw Mara Weaver and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Not only was I seen right away she explained what happened and why. It was a very scary situation for me and everyone around me. She was thorough, spent time with me explaining everything, not in a hurry. I wish I could have her as my primary!! Everyone from the receptionist to the attendant who first saw was wonderful.

Everything was great except I was told the doctor would see me in 10 min after I submitted a strep test and it took over 40. It wasn’t the amount of time, I just would’ve liked better communication and time management. Other than that, everyone was very nice!

Was traveling for weeks and had an infection that needed to be looked at. Had a few days in chicago so was able to get some care and found Midwest clinic. Easy information online and appointment. Almost no wait time on Sunday morning appointment. Friendly staff and clear information on insurance coverage. Quick and professional consult and solution and even a follow up call

Awesome service! I saw one of the providers Mara today and she was very kind and supportive of my needs! She was one of the nicest doctors I've ever met, her kindness radiated across the room, even with a mask on! This is my new favorite MEC location!

I had a great experience here last week. I came in after weeks of not feeling good and ended up testing positive for COVID. Ben was so nice and helpful, he told me exactly what medicine to get and explained the medicine he was calling in for me. He was very patient with my scatter brained questions. When I got out my phone to take notes, he even offered to write everything down for me. He made a stressful situation much better by being so kind and informative.

Medical staff is great is for this type of office. Admin could use work on scheduling. Had a follow up time set and called ahead to ensure wouldn't have to wait (work day), but was told I had to start from the back of the walk in line upon arriving. Ultimately after an hour had to leave.

This clinic is easy to get to and has parking across the street. We went here for a school physical and it easy and fast. Staff and practitioners are helpful and professional and made me and my child feel comfortable. I highly recommend this clinic.

Wow.. this place is spotless clean, and really nice inside. They offer coffee and water and have a very friendly staff. My eval went so smooth and my PA looked identical to Margot Robbie. I was like hold up wait a minuet… Margot?

I was able to schedule my appointment for early afternoon in the same day. The staff was courteous and the Physician Jack absolutely amazing and personable. This is my second or third time at this location and it remains a great experience!

We were from out state visiting and my baby got acutely sick on our trip. They took us in right away and got her diagnosis. They were so accommodating helping us find the right pharmacy since we didn’t know of any since we don’t live here and helped find the best medication that could suite our needs with travel. Everyone from the front desk, nurse, and doctor treated us so well.

I had a concussion and I went here. I'm a 20 yr old college student and dont have much money right now and I'm under my mom's insurance. The receptionist told me that my insurance was taken and then 2 weeks later I get multiple people calling my phone, saying I owe over 200! I dont have this and they literally keep spamming me, after telling me it was handled. If that was the case i wouldve never came here. Be upfront and dont lie to customers just trying to get simple medical treatment. Its not that hard to verify the insurance before hand and just tell me no. Some people dont have it like that right now. Be considerate. Then I get an email from a collections agency, Dude I'm a child with no credit this is so ridiculous

Fast, friendly and efficient! Although I didn’t make an online appointment, the wait was not very long. The facilities were clean and spacious. And the staff here are very friendly yet professional. I was in and out and on my way to feeling better the next day. Would certainly go back if needed.

The staff is always attentive and professional. Definitely my go to for medical attention in a timely manner. Wait times are short and they take a lot of insurance plans.

The clinic on Chicago and Wells is great. I’m a healthcare provider and am always impressed by the service, communication, and quality of care they provide. All of the staff are wonderful. The care providers are compassionate and efficient. A real gem.

Went in for a rapid COVID test after reserving a spot in line. My time was 11:25, was seen around 11:50, and out no later than 12:15. The office is very clean and the staff are all VERY nice. I often find it hard to feel comfortable with medical professionals but each person here was kind and informative.

Had to get a rapid covid test. Was able to make an appointment online that same day. The whole office was super clean, everyone working was so nice and professional . Free parking across the street . Great experience!!

Erin listened to my concerns. She really gave me support-which I sorely needed. She couldn’t give me medication (they were out). But I felt better and was very glad that I went. She encouraged me to go to the emergency room because I needed care that she couldn’t provide. I respect her for her honesty and I will come back and encourage my friends to visit. Thanks Erin. Service was quick and friendly. The website was really confusing for making a Covid testing appointment, so I called and they walked me through it on the phone. I was seen right away when I showed up. My rapid test was positive, and even though the doctor was understandably freaked out to be in the room with me, she stayed and kept answering any questions I had.

We got covid pcr tests for traveling to Canada and they had excellent customer service and we got our results in about 36 hours. We were able to walk in and the doctor was very kind and helpful to make sure we got our results in time for traveling.

I went to the River North location for a COVID test in April. The office experience was fine but 3 months later I received a bill from a collections agency. I never received a bill from Midwest Express Clinic and when I called Patient Services they told me I was billed for my "covid test results phone call". After my test I was told to quarantine until I got my test results. I had no choice but to take the call from the provider 2 days later. Had I known I would be billed unknowingly, and that my bill would be sent to collections, I wouldn't have picked up the phone. Unnecessary headache for something that should have been no charge from the beginning. I will not be going back to this clinic and I do not recommend that anyone go here.

Most friendly and helpful staff inside the office. I forgot their names, but it was a bright blue eyed MA and a PA with a slight accent who took care of me. Made me feel so comfortable and took care of all my questions/needs. Absolute best service ever at river north with those two. One of the best urgent care clinics I've ever been to.

I want to say that this place is amazing. I was able to walk in and get seen right away. I was nervous as heck going through my first pregnancy and trying to find out more. The staff is so kind and caring and really put me at ease. Connie was also amazing taking my blood, she made me feel so calm. These people are truly amazing and I am glad to have come in.

Great people, nice service and quick results! I had a COVID test here and they were really nice. We had some questions regarding travel testing and they explained everything clearly to us. Also made a nice chat with these friendly people!

Nice clinic, relaxing waiting room; it’s clean and not crowded! The staff, nurses, and Dr. Mary were so nice and awesome, and were very cool about me being self advocating and explaining my needs with my doctors note. Came in with a knee injury and left with a smile! And it was all pretty quick too, waited, seen, and left within an hour - came in 2pm on a Wednesday for reference

I came in for a COVID test. I love that you’re able to check in online. The clinic was pretty busy (Thursday around 12pm), but I was still seen quickly and the staff continuously apologized for the wait even though it was not necessary because I understood. Everyone was so polite. Definitely the best urgent care visit I’ve ever had!

Amazing services from MEC!!! I go here for Covid testing, my Lopo-B12 shots and any time I’ve needed immediate care when I can’t get to my doctor. The staff is amazing and so attentive. They have some great facilities.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the treatment I received last night from Dr. Joanna and her team was phenomenal. Her care and kindness were fantastic, as was the rest of the team’s, and she did an excellent job providing the treatment I needed. I will 100% return here the next time I’m under the weather.

I love this clinic! They are open on the weekends which happens to be the time that my kids decide to get sick. They are friendly and very professional. Their prices are very reasonable and the best part is that they accept walk-ins. No waiting two weeks for a doctors appointment when you have some infection that needs attention now. Definitely 5 stars.

I went in for treatment and the staff at front desk was so nice and very helpful. The nurse then came and got me, very nice as well. Then the doctor showed up who was really good. Very nice and she listened. This place was really professional and very helpful.

Literally the best urgent care I’ve ever been to. Comfortable cute waiting room lobby. Super convenient web platform to upload paperwork and insurance before my appointment. The staff was super competent—from front desk to medical assistants to my nurse practitioner. It generally didn’t feel too clinical or sterile and I could tell that they value overall holistic health! My health issue was solved and I was sent on my way! Will def be back if I have another urgent medical issue!

Dr. Ben was super quick while still being very personable. He did an assessment, ran some tests, and sent me home feeling confident that everything was a-okay! I was in and out within an hour 👏 The person working the front desk that checked me in was also very kind and patient.

Everyone that helped me here was incredibly kind and welcoming. I wish I could remember their names to personally mention them/thank them , but they made me feel so cared for in a really difficult situation. The nurse practitioner took plenty of time to listen to me and ask questions to find the best way to help me. Can’t say enough great things about this place! Top notch care 5 stars

Everyone was pleasant but I am disappointed that I had to go in for a follow up just to be asked a simple question. I didn’t realize I would be charged a new fee for a follow up and was upset that it was just to ask which medication to send to my pharmacy (which they already had in file.) Total I spent $100 within just 4 days and I felt like it was a bit of a scam. Only worth a visit if you are getting tested for COVID. I wish I would have just visited my regular doctor for blood work and follow up but I was stressed and have very limited time with a full schedule.

I made a "Wait in Line" appointment and I was treated very quickly. The whole visit from walking in the front door, and walking out only took an hour and a half for a more complicated issue. The staff is all highly respectful, and treat you with dignity and kindness. Could not recommend this clinic more.

My first time here. The office was very clean. The woman who checked me in was very nice and answered all my questions. I only waited about 15 minutes. The nurse practitioner explained all the test results and was very personable and empathetic to my symptoms. Would definitely come back in the future.

Great experience! Easy check-in process online which made in-person check-in a breeze. Was seen promptly. The nurse technician was thorough in her assessment of my vitals and symptoms. Quickly learned I had the flu (bummer), but the Doctor on staff came and answered all my questions and was also thorough in recommendations for treatment of my symptoms. A week later and I'm much better thanks, in big part, to the folks at Midwest Clinic!

Our son was sick with a sore throat so we called here for an appointment. The person on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. We walked in and we were seen right away. Everyone on the staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. I highly recommend this clinic.

Came to get my Annual TB test for my job. I did not make an appointment and just walked in. I did have a bit of a wait and had to leave and come back. Once I came back, they got me in right away for the blood draw. I would recommend making an appointment Especially if you are coming in after work hours when it tends to get much busier. Staff was very nice, including Connie who was my phlebotomist. I’ve had her before and she is funny and no nonsense.

The clinic in River North is great. I’ve been a few times and entire medical staff is wonderful. Kind, patient, knowledgeable and they listen. Didn’t have to wait long either. Highly recommend.
