With signs all over about protecting your health from covid, they could be bothered to clean the rooms. Sticky soda cup rings on the tables, dead bugs in the corners of the bathrooms, hair in the tub and crunchy carpet. This will be the only time I stay at this hotel. Also beware the creepy guy behind the counter. His reaction when my young boys walked in made me feel very uncomfortable. ALSO AVOID THE POOL! brown bits of something floating around and slowly dissolving into the water and leaving a brown tinted on the bottom of the pool. The continental breakfast comes with spoiled milk. It is within the date but seems to have been stored warm and is now very sour.

Terry is the worst General manager I have every came across. As a IHG employee you can not charge someone for something they did not use. we stayed at this hotel for my sons basketball tournament. we checked out Saturday June 25th. i just received a charge for $35 dollars. they said it was damage to the iron... WHICH IS A BIG LIE!! we never used nothing in that room besides the bed and the cold breakfast buffet they had each day. I called to speak with tell the GM and he said they checked the room history and that's how they know we did it... which is a lie what dose checking room history have to do with anything ? That means you guys are not to proper room inspections! I'm being charged for something I did not use at all I couldn't even tell you where the iron was. he said the room smelled burnt which was a lie Again. before I check out of any room I make sure I strip my dirty linens and take my trash out myself! If we would have used the iron I would have had no problem owning up to it but I never used it at all. we never had time to use the iron because of my son tournament games. i felt like we were being targeted because we were the only African American guests walking around there. Housekeeping were very rude when I went to the desk asking for extra towels. this was the worst experience ever and on top of all of this Iam being charged for something I never used! Terry dose not need to be apart of IHG brand at all. I already called Midvale police regarding this fraud charge and I will be calling IHG ever day until this gets resolved! $35 is very small but I'm not paying for something I never used This run down hotel! also get body wash and shampoo and conditioner that matches IHG has switch to dove and you guys are putting things in containers that is not dove

The room, a suite, was very nice. The bed was comfortable with very nice sheets. The spacious lobby and breakfast areas were clean. The hot breakfast was good. The only negative comment is that there was no coffee available in the lobby until the breakfast area opened.

I stayed for a week with the wife to hit the mountains snowboarding. Brighton, Solitude and Snowbird are all available via bus (for free if IKON) from the stop across the street, 40 minute ride. The hotel is quiet and clean, breakfast was predictable and good. Room service on request, else they don't come in. I left my wedding band in the room, they mailed it to me gratis (dont tell my wife). Very satisfactory and recommended.

It was a clean room, great pillows but I was disappointed that I couldn't use the gym. They had the pool and the morning breakfast bar open but for some reason not the gym. Seems covid would be spread more at a buffet or the pool area , not on 2 treadmills or an eliptical. Kids were junping up and down on the ceiling till midnight and the room next to me was playing loud music later than the kids jumping. It was an expensive room for 3 nights and it would have been nice to get some peace and quiet at least 1 night. :( . I loved the pillows and the bed was comfy.

Walked in with my dog and was told they don’t allow pets. I said “he is a service dog”. The employee quickly replied “that’s not a service dog”. I was taken aback because this was so rude and obviously discrimination based only on what my dog looks like. The guy then said the laws are very strict now as to what counts as a service dog, which I am well aware of. He then asked what service he performs, which I gave him and still was denied. The task he performs qualifies him as a service dog protected under federal law, but this guy was like “I don’t think that counts”. At this point I just left because I didn’t want to give this place my business. But seriously this is a lawsuit waiting to happen if others like me are treated this way.

Loved the space for our family, and the service was great. The room was very nice and clean, but did need a bit of attention/repair which the front desk was happy to learn about so they could deal with it.

We loved the location to this hotel. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. They still are operating under covid rules which I think it's a way for them not to clean the room everyday.

Clean room! Spacious! Hard bed. Great pillows! Some staff great! Some so, so. Breakfast was good. I missed the cinnamon rolls though. Many restaurants within walking distance.

YES! BOOK HERE! You won’t regret it. I always read the reviews before i book!! And we’ve stayed at 10+ places within the last 2 months down in SLC. this place is perfect! We loved everything. this will be the only place we stay from here on out. It’s right down the road from the start of cottonwood canyon rd so it’s very easy access to Brighton/Solitude or Park city. I’ve never slept on pillows so comfortable. in a room so quiet with such wonderful staff. the man at the desk last night was quite exceptional. exceptional is an understatement. other hotels need to take note. he was very friendly accommodating and even asked what floor we preferred. He ended up suggesting us on the top floor away from all the loud kids he knew were on the 1st and 2nd. he was super kind and answered all of our questions. the pool and hot tub were very nice. think it cleared our eyes out for a year but that just means it was super clean with all the chlorine. the bed and the pull out bed were super comfy. the dove soap in the showers were awesome. The bathrooms are a little outdated/moldy but who cares. the breakfast Buffett was HUGE! and they have these Cinnabon things. super yummy. this will be the only place we stay when we come to SLC which is about every weekend.

Date of stay: ~July 28th, 2023 - July 30th, 2023 Staying here was an awful experience. Hotel looks like it hasn't been updated since the 90s. It feels dim and dingy for it. Our non-smoking room smelled of tobacco smoke. I wouldn't stay here again for those reasons alone but I'm taking time to write a negative review because of an encounter with the owner. While relaxing in bed on a Sunday morning (before 9am), my wife and I received a call from the front desk. The receptionist TOLD us the owner of the hotel required entry into our room to facilitate renovations to our room. Bleary eyed and confused, I asked when room access was required, "He and the workers will arrive in 5 minutes." Startled, confused, and feeling like we had to comply my wife and I rushed to get dressed. Once the confusion wore off, my wife stayed in the bathroom while I confronted the owner at the entrance to our room with some choice words that surely disturbed anyone else on the floor. It a was deeply unpleasant experience that could have easily been prevented by a bit of notification, or better yet, waiting until the room was vacant. What was so urgent that required disturbing guests on a Sunday morning? The workers needed to measure the window presumable for new drapes. No joke. I suspect the owner was trying to save a few bucks by getting all of the rooms measured at once but that's just a guess. People like this don't deserve our money. Just stay at one of the other many hotels available in the area like we did for the rest of our trip. I feel bad for their staff.

Very noisy room. Loud neighbors with an unruly child who jumped on the furniture until after 11pm. Would have been nice to have been warned that the hotel was undergoing a remodel. Noisy and dusty with sparse options for breakfast. Staff did a good job despite the construction disruptions.
