This is my all time favourite cooking school. I've come here for two consecutive years while vacationing in Seoul. It gets two thumbs up from me. The staff is wonderful and so very friendly!!! Totally recommend O'ngo's classes to everyone!!!

We visited this place for a korean cooking class as part of our team building activity. We chose to cook the Bibimbap & Doenjang-jjigae The entire experience was very efficient. All the food ingredients were sorted up and provided one by one in predetermined quantity by the staff and the trainer/chef was very helpful in explaining the ingredients and the mix. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the entire process was super efficient. It was like the IKEA of cooking where everything was provided in assorted in predetermined qty and all you had to do was put everything together. It may be a good thing but it just made the experience a bit one dimensional. Based on the team's feedback, it is nothing spl for those who cook daily at home. But for those who dont, its a good experience, albeit an expensive one.

I wanted to try something different in Korea besides the typical tourist traps. I stumbled upon this awesome cooking class and had to try it. This class is very accessible to even the most beginner cook. The instructor has a degree from a culinary school in Korea (sorry I forget which one) so she knows her stuff. The class was a great mix of cooking, instruction, and interesting facts about Korean food. I consider myself more of an advanced cook, but I still enjoyed the beginner class. The staff was friendly, engaged, and eager to answer any questions. As a bonus, they took pictures of us while we were cooking and emailed them to us after the class. What a nice keepsake!

I used O'ngo as a participant in an absolutely lovely food tour through Seoul. Their representatives were very professional and knowledgeable, very sociable and nice, knew good English and gave my group a very memorable and happy experience in Seoul. We had a lot of good food at many different places and was given very interesting context to it. Their kitchen was impressive. Highly recommended! I only had a few days in Seoul, and I am very satisfied that I spent half of one with O'ngo.

LOVED this cooking class! Chef Jia was amazing, explained and demonstrated cooking for a complete meal - a wonderful salad, entree and side dish. She was super accommodating as we had booked the only convenient day during our stay in Seoul where the menu was for spicy pork, but I don't eat pork - I had put in my comments that one of our party ate fish only, but that I would just cook and not eat the pork. However, she had a lovely fish fillet deboned and ready for me to cook in the same style as the pork, plus some spinach to stir fry with it because that was the way it should be! So considerate and the meal was delicious. We arrived early for the market tour which was really interesting - I never would have found that secret underground market nearby. With respect to the market tour, be sure to show up early for the tour -- there was a comment in the footnotes when I booked the cooking class about the earlier time for the market tour, but it was not obvious and was not on the voucher (we booked through klook). Highly recommend this class - will do it again next time in Seoul!

Jay was an excellent guide through Insadong and took us to amazing places we would have never discovered without her. Our group signed up for the walking food tour through viator. We began at O'ngo with a cooking demonstration where we learned how to make seafood pancakes. It was such a simple and easy recipe, I'll probably try making it myself in the future. Jay was very friendly and informative and if I find myself in Seoul again I would definitely take this tour again. Highly recommended!

It’s nice that the tour was organized in a small manageable group with 2 very earnest and helpful guides in explaining the local cuisine and delicacies to us. The order of food was also well thought out. Definitely come with an empty stomach because there will be so much nice things that they are very eager to let you try. Highly recommended!

This was such a fun experience! The instructor was very informative and patient. She walked us through a brief history of some popular korean dishes, including what we were making today. She provided helpful tips and walked us through each step. At the end of the lesson, we all gathered for lunch and were given a copy of the recipe to try at home. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to those who love korean food and want to learn more about it!

Great experience! Chef Jia Choi is very patient and really great. Very informative as well. We’re a group of 4 and we really enjoyed her cooking class. We will definitely coming back for another cooking session. It’s a must in Korea! 🇰🇷

Excellent food tour of Seoul! Evey was very kind, informative, and generous. She was very kind about making substitutions for vegetarians and was conscious of allergies. The food was much more than I expected – we left stuffed. A fun way to explore Insadong neighbourhood and to try some new Korean food!

We had a great experience with O'ngo Food Communications while we visited Seoul. Our tour guide, Jay, did an amazing job taking us to places that would help us experience traditional Korean cuisine. We also enjoyed our kimchi pancake cooking demonstration. I would recommend them and would go through them again for another class or tour when visiting Korea again.

I had the most wonderful time on my Street Food Tour with Jay! She was so friendly and knowledgeable, and took good care of our group. We experienced a whole afternoon of delicious food, saw the sights of Insa-dong, and I felt it was a great introduction to the culture of Korean street food. I absolutely recommend taking a tour with O'ngo. My original requested date and time weren't available (I was a single person looking for a tour, and they require a minimum of two) so they worked with me to find a tour I could join that worked with my schedule in Seoul, and were so accommodating. Their office is a little hard to find, especially if you're not familiar with how Seoul streets work, but it was worth the hunt to find them. Definitely book a tour when you're in Seoul!

👍 This street is filled with a lot of local shops of various categories. You'll get everything from local food to local attire. The farmers market is a very good attraction. It's right in front of the palace and always buzzing with people.
