I’ve been taking lessons with Hola Korean for 6 months now and it’s been the best decision I’ve made in a long time. Classes are customised and my teacher is kind and attentive. I love all of Hola Korean’s bonus events and that they regularly check up on your progress and experience. Highly recommend.

Our insightful lessons and productive discussions are now only helping me understand Korean better, but bettering my view of the country in the process. By getting to learn detailed information about each collocation, word and its origins, I can now make informed decisions about the use of the language and what to do with it. I would recommend everyone to take lessons with hola korean. You can personalize the classes to what you are focussing on and you get matched with a teacher that suits best. The classes are very loose so it doesn't feel like a school environment. Also, there are sometimes events organized so you can meet other students and teachers. During these events everyone tries to talk in Korean so even out of class you can practice even when you just masterd the basics. The price is really worth it for what Hola korean offers!

I am from the United States and a intermediate Korean speaker and previously had only taken classes with many other people but never got the attention I wanted with language learning so I started Korean private lessons in Hongdae this month with Hola Korean and I am so glad I did! My tutor is the best and so professional. She really puts in the time to prepare materials for me and listens to my feedback. :)

It's reasonably priced, accessible, and the only place I've found with tutors who actually have a course for Advanced Korean learners who don't just group you into intermediate and teach you things you already know. I’ve worked with two tutors over the past couple of years and they’ve both been incredible! Extremely dedicated to teaching and also really fun. The Gangnam location is also really nice and convenient.

I’ve been learning Korean from 성민 for almost two years. I started with one on one tutoring, and am now doing a two person class. We have also recently moved to online classes and classes are easily as excellent as they were in person. 성민 is an excellent teacher who is always patient with his students and has excellent understanding of different students’ capabilities. He always puts in a huge amount of effort to ensure classes provide maximum benefits. I 100% recommend him and Hola Korean to anyone who wants to learn Korean, whatever the level.

Learning with Hola Korean has been a great experience for me. I get very nervous when learning a new language and my teacher has been very patient and understanding. I have been learning Korean via the HolaKorean program for 4 months and I have seen a massive improvement in my speaking ability. The classes are flexible to fit your schedule depending if you wish to learn in person or online and how many classes you need each week. For those in Korea you also have the option to join in cultural activities to aid your learning such as one day classes or activities such as hiking and eating Korean barbecue. I studied Korean with a Hola Korean tutor for 6 months and I must say, not only did my Korean improve immensely, but I found that my tutor’s attention to detail in regards to feedback on each tutoring session and my assignments was critical for me to look back on even after months of no longer being tutored. Their class manager was also very responsive and helpful with any needs. Would highly recommend!

I've had a really great time studying with Hola Korean! I've been with the company for just over a year, and I've really valued the practice that I've gotten! I've definitely made a lot of progress. Plus, the culture is really nice at Hola Korean! Everyone is really friendly, and there are a lot of fun events to take part in and socialize with the teachers and other students. Personally, learning Korean has been very difficult!! But when I got a tutor through Hola Korean learning became a lot easier and more fun!! My tutor is very fun and I enjoy working with her. I feel like I have improved a lot and feel a little more brave speaking, which is all I can ask for when learning a language. I first started with Hola Korean in the summer of 2020, opting for one-on-one classes because I'm quite shy when meeting new people. I tried in-person classes at first, but because of the pandemic we switched to online; my teacher was very understanding and accommodating. I continued for about a year, and then took a break for almost a year due to stress/work burnout. I restarted in-person classes in late 2022 and am still currently attending^^ I have had 2 teachers, Ms. Kim Da In (she unfortunately had to leave) and Ms. Kim Hee In (my current teacher), and they have both been so wonderful. Ms. Hee In is very patient and kind, and she always puts a lot of effort into her lesson planning. I always appreciate how much work she does to help me, and she always pushes me to do more but still keeps it enjoyable. It's a little hard to believe how much material we've gone through by now! I liked how, when first signing up with Hola Korean, they have you fill out a survey on various things such as your schedule, learning preferences, and goals for learning Korean (I'm slowly but surely working to prepare for TOPIK) to pair you up with the best teacher that fits your needs. It worked out well for me, and when people ask me where I take my classes I'm more than happy to give them information on Hola Korean^^ I'm very happy with how everything has worked out so far, and I'm very thankful for Hola Korean, and especially for Ms. Hee In. I always look forward to my classes^^ If you're looking for individual or group classes, I highly recommend trying Hola Korean, particularly as they are fairly flexible with where and when you can take classes!
