Seriously
one
of
the
top
roller
coasters
in
the
world,
and
I
have
ridden
roller
coasters
on
3
continents,
in
4
different
countries,
and
in
6
US
States.
Here's
what
I
wrote
to
a
friend
about
the
T-Express.
.
"....It's
one
of
my
all
time
favorite
roller
coasters
(and
I
LOVE
roller
coasters!!)
Strange
but
true
story.
The
first
truly
terrifying
and
fantastic
roller
coaster
I
ever
rode
was
outside
of
Chicago
in
the
1980's.
It
was
designed
by
a
German
guy
named
Werner
Stengel.
The
first
time
I
rode
it,
I
jumped
right
back
in
line
to
ride
it
over
and
over
again
~
even
skipping
lunch
with
the
friends
I
had
gone
with
to
ride
"single"
without
them.
It
was
a
giant
wooden
beast
of
a
coaster
outside
of
Chicago,
Illinois.
Eventually,
because
it
was
made
of
wood,
it
eventually
succumbed
to
the
harsh
snowy
winters
of
that
area
and
had
to
be
torn
down
~
never
to
be
rebuilt
because
of
the
onset
of
steel
coasters
which
could
do
full
loops
and
steeper
turns
and
faster
dips.
I
was
so
sad
when
I
found
out
that
it
was
gone,
and
I
would
never
be
able
to
ride
it
again.
Fast
forward
many
decades,and
I
was
in
line
for
the
T-Express
at
Everland
~
and
as
the
line
wound
towards
the
entrance,
here
was
a
giant
etched
photo
of
Werner
Stengel
that
everyone
in
line
passed
by
on
their
way
to
ride!!
.
As
it
turns
out
,Mr.
Stengel
was
commissioned
by
Everland
to
recreate
the
same
wooden
roller
coaster
that
had
been
torn
down
decades
ago
in
America!!
Yippeee!!!"
