šŸ˜  I wish I could give this hospital zero stars. It doesn't even deserve one star. I came to this hospital for urgent care for chest pain. It came close to midnight. I wish I could give this hospital zero stars. It doesn't even deserve one star. I came to this hospital for urgent care for chest pain. It came close to midnight. It's now 5 am, and I haven't seen a doctor. My chest is hurting so badly. They placed me in the lobby. They called people right up to 2 am. After that, everyone went to sleep. My chest pain got so served that I cried, but no one even attended to me. I spoke with a tech called Guielreen and asked if I would ever be seen; she had no answer. I'm in so much pain. The place doesn't care about their patient; one nurse talked about the trip she is taking next week to Paris, but no one stopped to ask me or attend to me. Where are compassion and caring? The Nursing Director for this er needs to be replaced with the nursing and doctors. I want the world to know that if I die is because I was neglected care. The registration person was so rude and disrespectful. Not only that, they had registration for doing vitals. The place is empty, so what is the hold-up?

This hospital is very unorganized and DIRTY!! I had to have labs done the day before my SCHEDULED c section and was told that I was not on the schedule. I called my doctor and was told it was an error on the hospitals end. Once all of that was resolved, I went to get my blood drawn and was greeted by 17 other women in a tight hallway that were needing to do the same thing. For 2 hours we stood in that hallway waiting for someone to greet us and collect our paperwork but NO ONE came. It took my mother getting ticked off and going to the hospital front desk for someone to finally acknowledge us. Come to find out there was only ONE phlebotomist that day, because the other one called out, and she was only taking patients from another clinic that need to do their glucose test. The next day I had my daughter, (July 27th) after an hour or so in recovery I was transported to my room. I was told after just having a c section I had to move myself from the transport bed to the stationed bed. At this time I still couldnā€™t move my legs and neither The nurse nor the transporter tried to assist me. My husband had to lift me up and put me into the bed himself. I had to keep asking the nurse for the leg cuffs hours after I had surgery so I wouldnā€™t get blood clots. She kept telling me she was ā€œtryingā€ to find some. Iā€™m sorry, trying to find some in a hospital when they should have already been in the room waiting for meā€¦ok!! The room was so dusty I couldnā€™t stop sneezing, The floor was dirty with stains, chipped paint and drywall coming down, The bathroom ceiling was falling apart and the shower was moldy and dirty. I asked if I could switch rooms and was told the hospital was full. I had blood on my sheets and asked if they could be changed and no one came to change them. My mom found someone in the hallway and got some clean sheets and changed the hospital bed herself. After only staying 2 nights I BEGGED my doctor to discharge me. All the money I have to pay to have a baby here and I canā€™t believe, especially during Covid-19 pandemic, how dirty this room was. I canā€™t believe how nonchalant and careless the staff treated me. I felt so nasty being in that room. Shame on you HOLY CROSS HOSPITAL!!!

The hospital room floor was extremely dirty. The should be handing out slides and not just socks. Especially for being in the antepartum ward itā€™s disgusting. Deborah was my nurse and she is amazing. She was really helpful, pleasant, warm and welcoming.

This is the absolute worst place I've ever gone to. I can't even call it a hospital because I haven't been seen in over 8 hours. Nobody seems to care if I'm in here or not. Or that I haven't had medication today. From our heart attack and for my the diabetes. I have worked in S. E. DC. for 22 years. I have never seen anything like this hospital. If I had another heart attack, I wouldn't let the ambulance take me here. I gave 1 star because you can't post zero stars, unfortunately. This is like the type of hospital you would go to in you lived in a third world country. It was my first time here and definitely my last. I wish I posted the pictures of the room and nursing station. You wouldn't believe it if you saw them. I will try to post pictures. Ok people I'm editing this post to explain the rest of this story. After being in the Emergency room waiting area for approximately 6 hours, I had another 6 hour wait in a room that you would only place a prisoner in. The doctor comes in to talk to me and his name is Doctor Michael Myers. I am not making this up. He has to be one of the nicest Doctors I've ever met in my 59 years on this planet. With a span of about 10 minutes I had a E.K.G. and a chest x-ray then a quick diagnosis. I arrived at 1700 hours and was back home at 0600 hours a 13 hour day at holy cross hospital. I won't ever go back there again. P.S. I had to pay $10.00 parking fee for needing Emergency care. This was the icing on the cake.

ER extremely inefficient. Nurses did not indicate ANY sense of urgency with my 78 yr old mom, with fever, coughing. Laid for an hour as a nurse kept coming by saying she was going to do something then disappeared without doing anything - repeatedly. A lack of procedural structure with trash on floors by nurses desk (see photo). There are holes in the walls of the ER bay (photo). The ER seems dirty. Patients do not seem to matter. Fairly shocking. Clearly a lack of leadership, patient care standards and cleanliness. Update: 6 hours in. No resolution. I hope I never need care here.

If you have an option in going to a different hospital please do!!! I came in tonight for stomach pains, this is the second time I have had to come to this hospital. My experience from my first time in 2011 and tonight has been the same if not worse. Wait time is insane, Iā€™m up to 6 hours waiting in the waiting room. My situation this time isnā€™t as bad as the first time, but I can only imagine how everything one else here must be feeling if they are in worst shape then me. Over ten years you would think this hospital would make some improvements but itā€™s just still really slow and dirty.

I hate that I am so late leaving a review but I just had good care down where I lived and it made me think of Holy Cross and their exceptional service. I had a baby via C-section in 2017 and the process was amazing. All of the doctors and nurses were more than accommodating. Unfortunately, my baby girl had a genetic disorder that I knew nothing about and it made things stressful. This was not Holy Cross's fault. They still accommodated me anyways and flew out a specialist that was knowledgeable on the disorder. My daughter ended up passing away 9 days after birth. The hospital did everything they could by allowing me more visitors than usual for comfort, allowing us to stay with her even though she passed, offering counseling services and did I mention the nurse that would reach out to me after our stay? It warmed my heart. I hate that my first experience was like this but I am Glad it was with a Hospital that obviously had staff that cared about me and my family. Everyone was so nice! I think about you guys often!

Terrible experience in the ER last night. I was transferred over from Kaiser for an emergency surgery at around 4pm. I waited in their waiting room for 3 hours, even though I was supposed to be in a room with IV fluids and connected to machines as I felt lightheaded and dizzy when I was at Kaiser. I did not eat for over 25 hours because I was supposed to have my surgery done immediately. Holy cross staff did not address my issues when I told them I needed to be hooked up to IV and get fluids as I was not feeling well. I was just given a wheelchair to sit in. My JP drains were filled with blood and I got no help whatsoever from the triage nurses. At 7pm they told me my OR was ready and they put me in a room still with no machines or IV. I sat there waiting for another 3 hours before my surgery started. They kept trying to take my blood and urine even though I already had my blood and urine done at Kaiser that morning. They said ā€œthey couldnā€™t find paperwork for itā€ even though it was handed to them from Kaiser and I had a copy of it too. They kept ordering tests that I did not ask for. The nurse made me do an EEG test twice and said ā€œyou have elevated heart rate, we must connect you to a machineā€ well where was the machine I was supposed to be connected to? This hospital is dirty and their staff is incompetent. I do not recommend anyone coming here. When I had my blood drawn, they kept moving my IV needle around and physically hurting me which I had to yell at the phlebotomist to please stop. Please inform your staff on how to handle patients who are here for emergency surgery. This is ridiculous. I will be waiting for the bill and will be pressing charges against this hospital for negligence against my care.

worst possible experience. my daughter with a high fever and it took more than two hours to be seen. Rude employees. They came to tell me 5 times about charging before someone saw my daughter with a very high fever. they don't care about patients, they just want to know about money. they serve very poorly that I'm talking about a 4 year old child.

How do I give 0 stars. Iā€™m appalled by the treatment my mother received at this hospital. Please avoid this hospital if possible unless you want to really gamble on your life or that of a loved one. They gave my mother a blood thinning medication while she is on blood thinners. Just one example of what happens in this place. You have medical training? I hope so because there will be no one coming into your room during emergencies. If you want that type of treatment go ahead and go to Holy Cross. Good luck.

This me ER is horrible!! Unfortunately they donā€™t practice hygiene, no true concern for patients safety or HIPPA regulations. Nurse are rude, inconsiderate and extremely impatient. Patients are placed in the hall with equipment and patients running constantly into each other. I was disappointed and will never return to this hospital.

Father-in-law was taken to this place today. The hospital only allowed 1 person in the waiting area. The hospital ran out f pillows. There were unattended patients in wheelchairs outside during a winter storm. What has happened to this hospital that once was a very good place for medical care. Staff is rude. Cleanliness seems to be a thing of the past. All I see in other reviews is call our number but evidently they are not listening. Maybe we need to contact the Maryland Medical review board or maybe I can contact one or two delegates in the Md assembly. I happen to know some.

This place is awful. My sister had chest pains and a high heart rate and the registration desk woman was incredibly rude and berated us for not going to Kaiser Permanente. I pray to the Lord that I never have to come this place again. They only use the cross as a marketing tool, the registration woman only cared about money on the sabbath. Stay Away! Peace be with you.

I am disappointed that this hospital has gone down hill! I had both my kids here years ago and had a wonderful experience each time. Had to have lady surgery recently and the hospital and staff is not what it once was. The place needs a good cleaning and they need more staff! Machines beep for an hour before anyone comes to check on the matter. You call your nurse for assistance and they either donā€™t answer or come by too late with an attitude. They seem overworked but a patient should not be on the receiving end of that problem. I canā€™t wait to get out of here. No one is attentive. Truly sad.

I wish I could give zero stars!!!! Brought my mother-in-law who is 72 years old to the ER because she was having spasms in her back, hip and neck. Already suffering from other health issues, she canā€™t endure the pain! We arrived around 4pm on 01/10/23 and at 11:00 pm we were still sitting in the waiting area. I asked several times why the long wait and was told they were waiting for a room. I am struggling to believe that after 6 hours there still wasnā€™t a room for her to be seen and treated. The ER was fairly busy but not overflowing as we watched numerous people come and go throughout our time waiting! I think this is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL! She didnā€™t want to leave because she really needed to get treated and she comes to the hospital for all her previous medical needs! We just didnā€™t know the ER staff would not be as attentive as the hospital staff. If itā€™s a staffing problem then this should be communicated and posted to give people a better understanding of the lack of urgency in an ER facility. We will NEVER return for ER services again!!!! Nobody apologized to us for the long wait or seemed to care! There was no regard for the pain she suffered while she sat in a wheelchair waiting uncomfortably! After 6 1/2 hours and asking again why she had not been seen or anyone acknowledging her, Danielle, one of the nurses finally said that it was an 8 hour wait to be seen! Why is this NOT information available upon arrival so people are given the option to go elsewhere? 8 hours in ER, I think this should really be reviewed and addressed! Plus the waiting area is not clean and definitely isnā€™t sanitized properly! From the other reviews, it appears that nothing has been done about the lack of urgency, sanitation or staff inefficiencies! Seems the response is the same for every single complaint and the complaints go back a year or longer!

Iā€™ve been here at the ER sitting in a room for over one hour. Before I got to my room I waited 4 hours in the waiting room . I came in here with the chest pain and Iā€™m having a hard time breathing. No nurse came by my room . I told one nurse I couldnā€™t breathe and all he said was your talking fine to me . I am never coming back here . The staff just sits on the computer and talk when I canā€™t breathe in pain . I really hope some of the staff get fired because they donā€™t care if people die or else they wonā€™t be on their phone listen to music talking each other when people are in pain .

Itā€™s okay. If you got nowhere to go then by all means go to this hospital if you ran out of options. Make sure you get what you need ASAP! be patient but persistent tho. Some of not most of the staff donā€™t hurry to attend the patients. So if they can learn how speed up the process without harm, great. But until then, the staff gotta a lot of learning to do. But thank you for taking care of me when I needed it most, thank you a million. Next time youā€™ll do better, I hope so! Okay bye thanks. #MentalHealthIsHealth #MuchLove

Not a great experience, we were having our first child and the staff and nurses were not very helpful at all and would not give us the proper information throughout the whole experience staying there. Some of the nurses were not very experienced and did not know what to do in critical situations. Our baby was not getting enough food and we kept asking the nurses to provide us with a breast pump, it felt like the nurses would make excuses on why we did not need a breast pump and would not bring us one. We asked about 3-4 different nurses and they would not give it to us for some reason. Finally, a couple hours before my wife was being discharged, the lactation consultant brought a breast pump, at this time we did not need it since we had one at home. We had also asked for a lactation consultant because our baby was not getting enough food and was not latching properly. We had made an appointment with the lactation consultant and every time we asked for a status of when she would meet with my wife, the nurses would say she will come soon, maybe by the end of the day. A couple days went by and she still had not come. Again, on the last day some hours before being discharged was when she arrived. For nurses and staff, this is not an acceptable way to treat first time parents. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend this hospital to anyone for labor and delivery.

Delivering my baby here. So far the visit was great in Labor and Delivery. I was having some pelvic pain and one of the nurses named Joy was so amazing! She helped me do some stretches that truly made me feel better. So thankful for her! I pray she is there when I give birth next week!

My wife and I just recently had our first child born at this hospital. I will get the bad out the way. Some of the nurses (recovery floor) act like they just don't care. Since this was our first child we were nervous and just wanted all the information. Some nurses were short with us, and didn't explain things well and moved on so quickly, it wasn't like we we're being mean or anything. We just wanted to be well prepared. We understand they are busy and have many babies to look at but we rarely saw the nurses and when we did it was like they wasn't trying to explain anything at all. We felt the answers they gave us were rushed. I digress. Now, the reason I gave this Hospital 3 stars. For three people, Doris & Briana were with us in the labor and delivery room and they were just honestly angels. They answered our questions, they assisted my wife and was so loving, down to earth and friendly. They truly made the 26 hours we spent there a great environment. Maria (Recovery Room) was such a blessing as well, she was so informative, helpful and she regularly checked on us throughout the night. She explained things very well, and didn't brush off our questions. She was the only nurse to really stand out. All in all it was an okay experience but thanks to Doris, Briana, and Maria they made it so much better. My wife and I are forever thankful for them and their services.

Delivered my baby this week at Holy Cross and felt so taken care of. The nurses had a hard time taking my blood, but the phlebotomists were always on point (especially Jane!). Cate, Mariam, Sam, and Morgan all took care of us in the maternity ward and were so helpful and knowledgeable. Thankfully I was recovering well with my baby and could have been discharged after two days (usually I try to leave the hospital asap!) but we were so taken care of we stayed another day. That helped with my healing, we got help from the lactation consultant who was also great and a visit from the chaplain (in a non forceful way, so even though Iā€™m not catholic, it was still lovely). Food was also perfectly good.

Back in the dayā€¦ holy cross was a great hospital to go to not so much anymore. I am disgusted at whatā€™s itā€™s turned to. Itā€™s absolutely completely disgusting in there like they donā€™t clean. The walls have nasty stuff all Over them who knows what kind of fluids those are. The bathrooms are disgusting, urine on the floor and the sink was leaking. The way they treat behavior health patients is disgusting. They put them in a jail cell type room and do not check on them all day for hours and donā€™t ask them how they are feelings even if they are suicidal. They give you no updates, you have to keep getting up and asking them on your own then they will lie to u about things. Now get me this. Why does the staff at a hospital with a behavior health area NOT CHECK ON THEIR PATIENTS. NOT ASK THEM HOW THEY ARE FEELING EVEN IF THEY COME IN SUICIDAL THEY LEAVE U IN THE ROOM FROM EARLY MORNING TO LATE NIGHT NOT WORRIED ABOUT U. Looking and treating you like an animal and like you donā€™t matter and like you are beneath them. This is the most trifling place I have ever been to in my life and honestly this place needs to shut down! THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PLACE WAS THE CLINICAL WORKER I BELIEVE HER NAME WAS BITA. SHE WAS THE ONLY SHINING LIGHT IN THIS SITUATION! I would taken pictures and recorded my time there but they took my phone :) they donā€™t care theyā€™re just there to be there, let me step in their shoes and really show you how to be caring and compassionate not nonchalant and careless! My mother also said she will be trying to contact the higher ups about this hospital because she is just as shocked and disappointed as I am in the service and cleanliness of this place!

This morning I became very dizzy while driving. I asked my GPS for the nearest hospital, and I drove to Holy Cross. Jesus is a healer. While there, I was a little disoriented so Officer Lee walked me to the ER. Ms. Alley registered me, and Nurse Caitlin rushed me to triage where I received an EKG. Dr. Stinger diagnosed me while Nurse Nicole prepared me for my CAT Scan. Everyone was so courteous and polite. I'm sorry I don't remember everyone's name, or if I was a little difficult. I am forever grateful for the staff's professionalism and genuine kindness. Finally,Officer Burrows made sure I got on the correct elevator to get to my car. She even called Officer Lee to tell him that I appreciated his kindness. God surrounded me with good people, and I was released with a positive report. I am grateful for Holy Cross!

I checked into the ER last week and the ER staff acted quickly and decisively to save my life. I had a cyst blocking brain fluid from flowing through my brain causing swelling and pressure and a neurology P.A. drilled a hole to relieve it, saving my life in the process. The ICU nursing staff has been very attentive through my whole stay, making sure I am as comfortable as possible. Both my kids were born and cared for here. I love this hospital.

While I was seen pretty quickly in the ER, the doctor didn't even touch me or examine my eye. He simply said your vitals look fine and don't show signs of infection... I'm going to write you a referral. I only came because urgent care said to go to the ER because they couldn't do anything with eyes. So I paid $250 to have my blood pressure and temperature taken... oh and to get a blood pressure cuff (because I'll use that again). I have two stars because the nurse was nice and calmed me down when I explained how frustrated I was with the lack of care. Update: The hospital charged $500+ dollars to my insurance company (on top of the $250 I paid) and the doctor didn't touch me! He didn't even examine me. I spent more time being discharged than face to face with a doctor. I'll never go to Holy Cross again!

If I could give this hospital, zero stars, I would. The nurses were good for the most part, but the doctors lied to me and were very rushed. They didnā€™t seem to care about my seizures or my migraines or my anxiety. The doctors told me that my meds would not be changed, and when it came time for my medication, not only were they changed, withheld, but there was no doctor that I could talk to during the night. Thereā€™s basically no 24 hour medical supervision at this hospital. If I were you, I would avoid this hospital at all costs and never bring anyone you care about here.

Worse hospital ever. My husband has been sitting in the lobby with a chest pain for approximately 6 hours and he hasn't been seen by any doctor. I called the front desk, and was told that they have only three doctors on ground attending to over 75 patients. And parking is not even free. The stress of sitting here for so long is enough to make your condition get worse. And the whole day is just gone. What is the actual cost of getting care? You loose the whole day, can't go to work, pay someone to watch your baby while you're there just sitting, get super stressed out and you pay for parking. Smh.

Went into labor my whole experience was miserable. Never coming back to this hospital. The staff scared and will treat patients badly. How I go to a hospital to get care and nobody want to help me. I had to beg for my results for my newborn baby. Nobody was explaining anything to me like I knew what I was doing Iā€™m a first time mom. Iā€™m clueless. Nurse Christine was my night nurse number 32221 was afraid of me because I tested CoVid positive. She rolled over my slippers with the blood pressure monitor. Through my slippers under the bed. I just birthed a 7 lbs baby. She also told me stop talking to her cause I was confusing her asking questions and doing her job. She couldnā€™t juggling running out the door cause she didnā€™t want to come in the room. To check my temperature. My body feel like I was hit by a truck. Took them forever to help me in the room. Another nurse left the baby incubator open and left the room and a burning smell started up. I called the front desk nurse she said itā€™s the kitchen I wasnā€™t even near the kitchen I was over the ER ROOM. WHERE IS THE KITCHEN IN THIS HOSPITAL. I had no symptoms I look and feel healthy as a ox. But that test scared everybody. All I wanted was a heathy well treated delivery. I WARN YOU BE CAREFUL COMING here.

i was admitted for back surgery to Holy Cross and found the hospital highly professional. Everything they asked of me in the prep before the surgery made sense, they wrote down everything accurately and the nursing staff were friendly and quick to help. the room i was in was modern and spacious. The op went very smoothly and they made me feel as calm as i could be in the run up and explained exactly what was going to happen. i am very grateful to them.

In all honesty I am writing a letter to the governor and whoever else after I research more, that I need to send to in order to get decent customer service and adequate health care here. I was in excruciating pain after a hit & run accident and left in the waiting are of their ā€œacute careā€ area. I saw the PA who I must say was niceā€¦. Once and that was when we brought me back. I didnā€™t get a follow up from him, instead I got greeted by the nurse who wanted to provide me discharge instructions. No one came to talk to me to let me know about any results and unfortunately I have to go be seen elsewhere AGAIN because while I thought the XT would include my hand that I complained about pain in as well, it didnā€™t. I didnā€™t receive an x ray or ct scan on it and it still hurts bad. Papers were brought to me by the nurse who I saw when she took my blood and gave me morphine and the papers were to discharge me. She at least had the decency to ask me if I had any questions. Questions that shouldā€™ve been answered by a physician once they came back and explained what was going on. The care here has severely went down over the years. Highly disappointed.

I took my 82 year old mother for a procedure yesterday in the am. Registration sent her to the wrong place for a COVID test that was not required- if my mother had not walked behind the nurses station after 1.5 hours- we would still be sitting there. They assumed we left the hospital. The procedure was scheduled for 12:45pm. We waited and and were told that the MD was helping with another case-1 extra hour. We were then told then told that the hospital did not have a clean scope to use for my mothers procedure. They sent someone to Germantown to come and clean the scope. Add another 3.5 hours. Apparently the entire sterile processing department was out with COVID. They were insistent that they wanted my mother to wait for this procedure. The entire day was the epitome of disorganization and poor planning. If they were in such poor shape, the procedure should have been cancelled earlier. It as evident that they didnā€™t care that my anxious, diabetic mother who was scared to have a biopsy was not going to come back if it wasnā€™t done when it was scheduled yesterday. As for the MD- he was not concerned with my mother. He barely spoke and did not offer any apology that his office staff called and tried to cancel the procedure right as we were leaving for the hospital in the morning. Poor patient care and poor human care. Holy cross is a broken system. We were there from 10:00 - 7:00.

My wife gave birth at this hospital. It was absolutely a wonderful experience from start to finish. The front desk staff knew exactly what was happening as soon as we walked in and immediately guided us to the right place. Every step of the way, the nurses were knowledgeable and helpful. The birthing room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Our room was spacious and clean and was quite comfortable for the few days that we were there. I fully intend that my wife and I will have any future children at Holy Cross. I would give it 6 stars if I could. I suspect a lot of the low star reviews are of people who are taking out their frustrations out in a google review. This seems to be common among hospital reviews.

Hello everyone, my review for the Holy Cross Hospital in 1500 Forest Glen Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910 is honestly a zero star review because of my personal experience that I will explain. I'm a not an adult just so you know. I would much appreciate it if you would read this to the very end. I honestly would've given a zero star review if I could. On June 28, 2023 I had to go to this hospital because I had rashes, nasal congestion, wheezing and coughing, watery eyes from a fish allergy because I did not fully know I was allergic. I went to the emergency room in the hospital. I waited there with my dad for more than 2 hours but only a nurse came just to check my breathing and say what they thought was going on with me. Not one single doctor came. After a long time of more than 2 hours I just went because I was starting to feel better.

Front desk lobby staff are rude for no reason!!! What was suppose to be a day of celebration for the family was ruined by their rudeness and inability to even listen to family members as we tried to explain our side. We wouldnā€™t have come here if we did not get clearance that we can come in. The pt is our daughter and not some distant family relative or just a friend. She was downright antagonistic and condescending. We understand rules and policies so there was no need for that behavior when we came in pleasantly and was trying to explain why we were there. Definitely wonā€™t use this hospital again.

I would give a zero-star review if possible. This has to be the worst hospital I have ever encountered. My boyfriend went to the emergency room for an injury and ended up leaving because the nurse who was checking him in was having a side conversation unrelated to work with another employee and neglected the fact she had someone in pain in front of her. The supervisor in the emergency room also shows poor leadership skills, which explains why the employee felt that her behavior was fitting even though she should be focused on getting the patients checked in. Then I called to ask for an email where I could contact someone in regards to the experience my boyfriend had today. I was given a number that seems to be a fax number. I would appreciate it if I could get a contact number to talk to someone and provide the name of the nurse & supervisor, time, and more information about what has transpired Today. If you require urgent care I suggest looking into other hospitals even if itā€™s a bit further out.

2 problems. All the other reviews should be read. Newborn and wife were placed in a room with heavy construction noise at midnight. Group of workers working through the day and another crew at midnight(12 AM). Power tools and heavy hammering right next to our window. They worked all night while we couldn't get any rest. Why would they allow this type of work with multiple rooms nearby. Large concrete pieces fell from the ceiling in the visitor lobby area. The area had to be closed. Must of happened from all the noise we heard for 7 or more hours. The Front desk staff and anyone working the the lobby area(visitors) poor unacceptable customer service. They cant even spell your name correctly with a state issued id in hand. Not everyone but I had an issue validating a parking ticket. One female told me to go to another area for more help. I asked another female and I was told to wait a few mins. 20 minutes went by waiting with no help. I asked for help and no one wants to spend a minute or 2 to help someone out. I didn't get the ticket validated. A group of women all sitting down chatting while people need help. Young hispanic front desk gentleman with short haircut was professional and helpful. The nurses and Drs are all professional and made my baby delivery experience great. The ldr and 4th floor staff all were great. I'm writing this review as I wait in the hospital. Many negative reviews explain what goes on this hospital.

Guys, please please please read the reviews prior to going to the ER. If you truly value your health, go somewhere else. I checked in at 6:30 PM with severe lightheaded-ness, chest pain, and a throbbing headache. I'm writing this view at approximately 1:00 AM. You do the math, almost 7 hours. This is literally the worst ER I have ever experienced. It took me 4 hours just to get my blood drawn because one of the techs forgot to check me in after performing an EKG. The staff as mentioned in the previous reviews are extremely rude. Like it's absurd that this is a medical treatment facility that's still operational. The person at the desk accused me of not responding when called when I was literally waiting for 3 hours to be called! I told her I was triaged and checked in. She just said oh and handed me off to the next person. I'd suggest risking your life and driving in a military base ER to get care. Your chances of dying are literally the exact same! You'll be sitting for over 6 hours easily.

What an amazing staff and facility!! Everyone there was dedicated to a healthy and safe delivery for mom and baby. Thank you to the amazing doctors, especially Dr. Crystal and Dr. Offer, nurses, medical team, and everyone who assisted in the delivery of our baby girl on October 5th. I highly recommended Holy Cross Health, a hospital and team that cares šŸ–¤

Their labor and delivery department is unrivaled. The whole team is attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. They make me feel like a priority every time Iā€™ve had to come. I wouldnā€™t recommend delivery anywhere else.

Honestly I donā€™t know where to begin to give my God all the praises and adoration from saving my life in the hands of the ER Doctor and nurses that are on duty on Sunday November 5th 2023 in this so called Holy Cross Hospital, from bleeding to death with a heavy clot and changing pads every 20 minutes from 9:50am till 9:40pm without no single intervention to stop the bleeding or to put blood on me till my hemoglobin dropped to 5.3 before I was sent to the OR for the D&C due to miscarriage. Ladies please please stay away from this hospital Emergency Department when youā€™re facing a miscarriage because you will be totally left to bleed till youā€™re gone. On November 5th 2023 I started bleeding around 7am with so much clot due to miscarriage and my husband drove me to the PG community hospital, getting to the hospital I pleaded with my husband to take me to the Holy Cross hospital due to one or two of my friend recommended the hospital to me because they gave birth over there and that got all my attention that it might be the best choice for me since Iā€™m having miscarriage not knowing that Iā€™m heading to where I will never return back home if not with the help of God Almighty. Getting to the hospital ER, I was bleeding so heavily with clot that the blood was staining the chairs right from the check in receptionist, of which the nurse that was in front of the desk saw it and gave me some pull ups and pads which I changed it 3 times before I was called to be seen because they kept me in the waiting area saying thereā€™s nothing they can do for me than for me to wait for my turn to be called. I was asking myself I thought I supposed to be a priority patient since Iā€™m bleeding this much because I knew that in health care settings a hemorrhage patient is a priority because they can bleed to death if no intervention was given. Later they called me for some labs test which the old lady was very very unprofessional and rude because she takes my pains and complaints so personal, they later get me a bed in the ER where they kept me with no intervention till 9:40pm before I was taking into the OR for surgery. They gave me only normal saline, I was begging for air and complaining to them that I have no strength anymore due to so much bleeding since morning of which I changed my beds sheet and pads by myself because the nurse acts so busy to help out. Thanks to my husband for all his support and encouragement, long story cut short getting to 8pm I was telling them that I canā€™t breathe anymore due to long time bleeding with no intervention and I was on NPO, they kept saying is expected because I was losing a lot of blood. At a point I got confused and stood up for help which lead to my fall of which I passed out at the spot with so much blood gushing out while still in the floor, my husband was calling for help and begging them to help him put me back in the bed but they all acting as if nothing happened and was busy asking him whatā€™s going on instead of helping him to put me back in the bed first, during all this drama I have already passed out but only came back to life when my husband was shouting my name and tapping me to the Glory of God. The doctor said they have to do blood match in order to put blood on me because she already saw that Iā€™m really down and anything can happen at the moment, we waited for the blood to no avail getting to 9pm before they send me to the OR for the D&C around 9:50pm which I told the doctor that Iā€™m passing out and he rushed and put plasma on me while he also put one unit of blood on me before starting the surgery because he was the one that told us that my hemoglobin has dropped to 5.3 while the doctor in the ER was lying to us that my hemoglobin was 7.5. I wants to specifically thank Doctor Mohammed Shah, DO and Doctor Samita Sharma, MD and the nurses in the OR for coming together at the die minutes to save my life from the hands of unprofessional doctor on duty and the nurses at the Emergency Room on Sunday November 5th 2023. Thanks to PACU nurses as well Ms Oumie J and the unitā€™s nurses as well.

I had the most amazing nurse named Jasmine to support me and comfort me there, I believe her last name is Carter? if I am not mistaken if I am then I hope she finds this review since I promised her I would write her a lovely review for her. I want to say thank you again for being patience with me and really making my experience smooth, you really touched my heart when you came back to my room and checked on me after delivery. You are in my prayers and heart. God bless you always.

The more I think about my stay the more I rethink my stay. I had an ok, the hospital isnā€™t really updated. I had my baby via c-section back in 2020. This was my 3rd child but my first at this hospital. After leaving the recovery I was transferred to maternity floor. An hour out of surgery the nurses wanted me to CRAB WALK from the bed I was transported in to my hospital bed. Luckily I had my partner there to help me get into my hospital bed because the feelings in my legs were not fully there and it was almost impossible for me to transfer beds on my own (the two nurses 1 male and 1 female barely tried to help me and the only help the provided was for me to try to crab walkā€). Another incident I reflect on is one of the nurses pushed the thermometer into my babyā€™s armpit(she tried not to make is obvious) to the point she was screaming. The nurses tried to brush it off as it being cold but she still cried even after she was done checking her temperature and it took her a little while to settle down. I noticed that my baby didnā€™t scream like that during the previous checks from the other nurses and she didnā€™t cry and scream like that after s different nurse had checked her after that nurse. The food wasnā€™t great and had a freezer taste to it. Donā€™t get me wrong there were some amazing nurses but not all. Based on my personal experience I wouldnā€™t deliver here again. But Iā€™m sure everyone experience is different.

I recently had a laparoscopic surgery done in the out-patient center. All of the surgeon team was wonderful. You can tell they were very compassionate and cared about the patients concerns. I do want to give a special shout-out to my nurse who assisted me after I woke up from the anesthesia. I really donā€™t remember her name & I wish I did. Overall, the experience was nice and made me feel safe. Thank you to each and every staff that worked in the out patient service!!!!

I wish I could give 0 stars. I have been in the waiting room for 3 hours. Then I have been in the exam room in the ER for 2 hours all I have gotten is my blood drawn and a pelvic exam. I am 16 weeks pregnant experiencing contractions and was having bleeding which turned to pink discharge. I noticed a young lady who was only here for 1 hour was taken in the back before me and when I was taken to my exam room she also had a bed before me. My mom has been in the waiting room this entire time. I keep asking if she can come back the nurse keeps telling me no. But other patients have people in the back with them. I am looking for another hospital to deliver my baby because this is just ridiculous. We noticed plenty of people who came hours after me was being called before me.

I just had my daughter via c section and the high risk department was awesome Jennifer was a doll!!! the maturity ward has pretty good nurses as well, the ones that stood out to me were Jackie cherie and Karen. The first issues came in once i was going to see my baby in the nicu and The elevator had wet brown water just all on the floor like someone had just splashed a bucket of dirty water in the elevator and left. And the other issue was The food service, which need some work Gloria, seem a little impatient and almost alway gets my order wrong.

Holy Cross Hospital is one of the best hospitals I have used. Professional staff, great team. Additionally at certain hours they pause to pray and acknowledge God who is the ultimate healer. Had my daughter here most of my friends had their babies here. Plus it's also clean. Thanks team

My doctor is A good caring doctor but the assisting nurse to my birth yelled for me to stop being in pain before I hurt my baby. Mind you they mispositioned my epidural so I felt everything and almost passed out. Then to have a nurse beside you getting frustrated because of how I was ā€œactingā€not one person dismissed her or told her to leave me alone. I WILL NEVER have another baby here and I will switch doctors next time to make sure of it.

My little one was here to give birth! From HRP to L&D to maternity was overall excellent with the exception of a few nurses or providers who made the experience bad!! In the maternity suite, 4E!!!! The left hand is clearly not communicating with the right hand. My lil one on the day of discharge the primary nurse ā€œdid not know she is being dischargedā€, the doctor who rounded mentioned she is being discharged. After going back and forth over the phone with nurse, we then decided to speak with the unit supervisor, the nurse immediately mentioned the discharge orders are in but now waiting on the Pediatrician!!!! This definitely leaves a sour tastes in the patients mouth and defines a poor experience. The current discharge process in place can be frustrating!!! Pt are being informed by the providers one thing and the nurses have no clue or some clue. Being a healthcare provider myself, it comes down to how involved the nurse is and how much attention they pay to the details. Again this is beautiful place to birth your children but it could be better.

1 star is too good. half a star from me and my family. first the maternity floor doesnā€™t tell you anything until it happens. there is no knowledge of anything until you do something or ask a question. second the main desk is rude and incompetent they stoped two family members trying to come up and see me and my wife and they wouldnā€™t let them even tho we had no visitors and it was in the time frame that we good. i am glad to not have to come to this horrible hospital again. people all say this is the best hospital, it looks nice but the waits and some staffing make this hospital ugly and trash. shout out to dr brooks tho we appreciate him

I went in at 26 weeks with severe abdominal cramps and vomiting and diarrhea...most nurses and the doctor were good. However the nurse that COVID tested me told me I shouldn't have been there and that I was taking up the time from people that actually needed care and then made my nose bleed from swabbing me violently.

I was forced to come here by my OBGYN I spent 10 hours here. Everything is slow. They put patience through unnecessary hoops for simple things. There were a few people who tried to make things better Isaiah, Muhammad, Paula and Charlene. The processes here are in need of updating and the pharmacy adds a whole new set of waiting to be able to leave. When you get to a person they are helpful but the in between is garbage šŸ—‘ļø

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I went there last night because I was experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms from a medication. I let the nurse know that I have not been able to keep anything in my system (including water) for two days because I keep vomiting. That Iā€™m lightheaded, dizzy, have a migraine, and very disoriented. While I was waiting for 4 hours, I vomited twice and my symptoms were getting worse. At that point, my vision was blurry and my chest was hurting. I let the nurse know and she told me itā€™s approximately an additional two hours. I let her know that my symptoms have gotten worse and I need to be re-evaluated. If itā€™s possible to at least receive IV fluids. She said no and that ā€œI canā€™t make you stay so you can leave if you wantā€, meanwhile I am bawling my eyes out from how terrible I am feeling. After my IV was taken out, I got blood all over me. There is no sense of urgency or care here. I understand they are busy (I am in medical school and understand how hospitals work) but the lack of empathy and compassion here is beyond frustrating. I truly would rather receive zero care than to go back to this hospital.

Well I want to thank Travis for really helping me out today. Thank God for Travis. My husband got tired of waiting and got out of the wheel chair and was going to leave. He is very sick and has a little dementia. My husband was having a mental break down. It was so scary. But thanks to Travis who works in ER. Saves my husband from leaving the hospital. He and another young man got a wheel chair calmed him down . They got him back into the hospital. Travis I really appreciate you especially and the young man that helped you. You deserve a raise and award. I hope you always be at that ER. Without you senior citizens would not make it. You are a blessing . May God bless you forever.I am also including and Nicole and Francis, as well as MacKenzie and Nana for their kindness and helpfulness. These employees deserve a raise and an award. Dealing with patients is really hard. But all of them are good at their jobs. I fore see Francis in the future becoming a doctor. Yes he will succeed. I am telling him congratulations ahead time. Thank you Part II 9-20-23 Well in room 4325 the nurses tonight one in particularly doesn't want to change my husband has an attitude. It's 1:45 in the morning. Thank God I'm here. Some of the nurses will handle you ruff. You really have to say something to them. Will be so glad to get out of here. Not being racist. But to me the some of the African nurses will try to over talk you and be rude. You have to let them know that you are not going to tolerate that behavior. They don't like Americans no way. Every day a different experience. Glad when my husband can go home.

This hospital gets NO STAR from me and my family. Register nurse poke me 4 times just to draw my blood and put an IV in. Lady name Glida is a rude RN. Trying to treat me like I'm a challenge. She doesn't listen and have a big ego. She was very disrespectful. Also I met another lady that work there name Valentina she did my ultra sounds. She was very unprofessional, her manner was not in the right place. Dont know how to speak to a patient who is in pain. Overall I don't recommend anyone or any kids go here. Very very unprofessional and rude people work there and they are very disorganized. What a shame I won't be going here anymore. l won't be recommending this place to any of my families and friends to come here (I have a big family too). Do better this is suppose to be a hospital to care for patients.I don't condone the way I was treated and my husband is on the same page as me.
