Trauma was amazing. I cannot believe how good they made us feel while there. I even told them I was surprised because the reviews on the hospital were despicable. Then we were moved to the ER for holding until we were discharged. I realized then why the reviews were so bad. No one gave us any information. Just said we couldn't leave, eat or drink. When we were discharged they just said you are free to go. Didn't even direct us on how to get out. They didn't go over any of the discharge papers and didn't let us know we even had a prescription. Worst Hospital Ever.

I called the ER and asked what their wait time was and a staff personnel gave Me no time frame. I asked her was it crowded? I have a baby with me and he's 13mo but isn't being treated. I'm the one with the issue and I live 5min away from them. The woman couldn't even tell me if the room was crowded. Like really lady?? Are people standing against the walls waiting? Are all the seats filled? Give me something to go off on? I'm in terrible pain and no one to watch my child at all. She told me I can't even bring my child in with me. I've lived near this hospital for 4 years and I've never been seen at this hospital. I go to WHC because I know for a fact I'll receive better care. When I had my child last year, I made it clear that I wouldn't be having him at PG hospital. I don't see them actually standing for long. Their services aren't getting any better and when I went into the ER 2yrs ago at this facility, the place was completely crowded. I never even bothered to check in. I went back home and suffered through my illness. Do not go to this hospital. Re-route to another facility.

The mental health ward is terrible. No doctors tried to help me process my trauma. I just had pills shoved down my throat and was misdiagnosed. The only group we had was a community meeting. The rest of the day is spent in your cold room waiting for the next day. The program really isn’t designed for helping people with serious mental health issues. All you will get are pills that will numb you. Was discharged to a homeless shelter without many resources. If I had gone to a better hospital I probably would have gotten the help and adequate resources I needed. Absolutely DO NOT recommend. Besides the rude staff and lack of adequate treatment the only thing good I can say were the sandwiches.

my experience was good. Most of the staff that assisted me were very attentive to me. sometimes we judge the place by 1 or 2 people who treat us badly and we do not take into account the good attentive people. I greatly thanks my nurse, ( claressa) and patient care technician (marvin,) Ms. wallace Case manager, midwife and more people but forgot the name.. They took good care of my newborn baby BOY and me. I recommend this hospital and if something happens, (like me with a bad attitude doctor) "" speak up" talk to the staff in charge to solve the problem because there are people who work well. They do not deserve bad reviews because of others.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The worst hospital setting I've ever been it. Would never go here again. Expected more from a teaching hospital. Needed to get lab results from a test done there. The nurses won't wait for you to come on the phone. Had them lie and say they called, no record art all that they called. Dealing with a minor infection had to treat myself, becsuse I can't get the lab result or medication from them. This place needs to be shut down. Doctors are indifferent to the patients. Unfriendly, seemingly don't care much, they just do what is necessary but undesirable to some of them. Terrible experience.

Went to see my mother today. They are allowing one visitor a day. Which is great, BUT when I went to the desk to check in to go up to see her there were absolutely no protocols in place in regards to COVID. I expected to get my temperature checked, and to at least be asked a few questions such as if I had been around anyone that had tested positive to my knowledge, and if I had been tested or not myself at the very least. This is crazy! I only stayed for about fifteen minutes because I felt odd even being there in these times. I touched nothing, and had my mask on the whole time so I am confident if I do happen to be asymptomatic I didn't spread it nor do I feel I could have contracted it from the hospital. Though I never saw anyone wiping the elevator down with any kind of disinfectant. Some protocols need to be placed to ensure the safety of the hospital staff, and the patients!

Worst hospital I’ve ever had to experience. Trust me when I say They answer the phone when they want to, put you on hold for forever , then when you get a operator on the phone they place you back on hold or put you through a loop. I’ve called to check up on my wife. I screen recorded ever rude operator, hold long I was on hold , did I say the they were rude. One lady with a African decent was the rudest of them off and I hate seeing that. Than when I got through to someone they place me back on hold and to never hear from them at all. I’ve been trying to reach out to the hospital to inform someone on this behavior but everyone there places you on hold and never comes back to the phone .I would take my chances to go to a hospital two hours away from this place or in another state if my life depended on it. trust me worst place Ive been to.

My little sister was taken here last night after she got hit by a drunk driver. I was very impressed with the care she got and how polite, caring, and patient they were with her. They updated us throughout the night without us having to ask and checked on her often. The nurses and doctors took great care of her and made sure me and mom were taken care of too. Really appreciate everyone who helped!!

I have never written a review on anything but felt compelled to do so for this hospital staff. I did not get treated here but I received both COVID vaccination shots here. It’s not often you leave places these days and think to yourself- “wow what a kind, courteous, efficient experience.” That’s exactly how I left both visits at this hospital. The COVID vaccine process was quick and organized and everyone working (early on a Saturday morning I might add) were joyful and seemed happy to be there. Thank you!

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL. You will not be seen for hours or will be turned away at the door. My mother who has a lot of health conditions was turned away at the door for basically no reason. They just didn’t feel like helping us. Literally, just go anywhere else. Urgent care, anything but here

Initially, my lady and I were hesitant to give birth at PG. We’ve heard all kinds of horror stories, however, we are now two of the biggest advocates for this hospital. The doctors, nurses, receptionists, security and everyone in between... even the cafe were all in point. To the nurses that helped us, we are forever grateful. Special shout-out to Regina, Shirley, Bernadette, Kemi, Javay, Layla, Maxine, Natasha and anyone else that I forgot to mention that had a hand in delivering our precious baby boy. Both the Labor and Delivery and Postpartum departments were amazing. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.

My daughter is a UMD student and had to go to the emergency room for treatment of a stomach issue. She got great treatment and the communication I had with doctor and nurse also good. The lady working the intake desk and the security personnel working in the emergency room did a great job managing a variety of people in a professional manner.

I wish I could give this place a negative star. This is the most disgusting, dirty hospital I have ever been to. The staffs are super unprofessional. They will cuss and have chatty conversations with coworkers while barely attending to you. The bathroom is nasty. The registration people are RUDE. They seemed so confused and I ended up leaving without getting any help and treatment because I was so scared to stay at that hospital for one more second. Please save yourself the trouble and do not come to this hospital.

I have heard all of the horror stories, so when I was transferred to PG County I HONESTLY cried. To my surprise the Nursing staff on floor 9 was incredible and the Patient Care techs were attentive - caring. Every morning the Facilities Support tech had such a beautiful smile, kind words and made sure my room was up to standard. I was in this hospital for 6 days and went through every rotation with the Physical Therapy staff, the Phlebotomist techs and all were professional. Some of these reviews are not fair and no hospital is perfect. If by chance you should have to come to PG County Hospital, please come with an open mind. They will surprise you. Lisa Cooper room 913

I came in and right away, I felt it was a mistake. I was a direct admit from my doctor's office and it took forever to be admitted although I was the only one waiting. The nurses seem to change every 4 hours. The staff here is majority foreigners and the others are low-level African Americans. They don't seem to grasp care or how to provide it and the service sucks. My room was hot, trash not dumped and rarely got assistance when I called. I have a major condition and scared to death to have a procedure here. They look to just charge you versus providing you care for your money. This hospital should be closed!!!!! There's no saving this hospital.
