We came to the ER because my wife had high fever and chills. They send me and my 4 yrs old out because we could not be with our patient. We had to go out to the parking lot at 3 am in cold weather. They took the vitals and then my wife had to sit there and wait for 5 hours before a doctor saw her. They kept us for two extra days in the hospital because someone didn’t do his/her job to order my wife’s medication. There is only one specialist in the whole hospital, so good luck when you need to be seen by a specialist. They pretend to follow the protocol but actually no body does, because the only protocol they follow is to make things harder for you like sending us out. In addition, there is trash and used mask all around the entrance of the hospital ( see the pictures). I am sure someone is getting paid for it out of taxpayer money. This is John Hopkins, so Howard county heath department needs to take notice. Too bad I can’t give less than one star. Very disappointing experience living is expensive place like Columbia. The only good experience we had was in the delivery and labor department and that’s because the nursing staff is comparatively good and above you have your own OBGYN. All the good reviews are about the labor and delivery department. Go somewhere else if you can, even an urgent care

Will never go here again. They stick you in a corner and forget about you. No one acknowledges you. The nurse who took blood ruptured something in my arm. After sitting for 10 hours I had no choice but to leave because I had children at home and no one could tell me anything. Now they won't even discuss the results of the tests. I will be denying any claims sent to my insurance. Nothing discussed during check in was done. They write down inaccurate information and do tests that weren't requested. This place is a joke. DO NOT GO HERE!

Tonight I walked my mother who was just diagnosed with Parkinson's to her ambulance ride to the nursing rehab. My mother is frightened beyond words being faced with the end of her life and my being by her side brings her comfort. After securing her in her ambulance and trying to re-enter the ER doors the were locked. My mother's ambulance had pulled off and I was locked out of the hospital in the cold pouring rain. I waved, knocked and actually watched ER staff see me and ignore me. So I continued to stand there knocking while being rained upon and ignored. Finally a woman got up and came to door but didn't open the door for me, she yelled at me through the doors. I couldn't hear anything she was saying but I had just walked by her with my mother on a stretcher being taken to the ambulance. Once the woman finally decided to open the door despite the fact that I had just walked past her and was wearing a hospital arm badge, she decided to chastise me and say that it would have been nice if I offered a please and thank you. I can't remember how many times I said, "Can you PLEASE let me back in from this cold pouring rain"! I was wearing a hospital bracelet confirming I had already been checked in with security but this demon decided to piss on a caretaker. Please be warned, there are devils working in the ER at this hospital.

Emergency room is awful. After an accident was brought here from the ambulance. After ~20 mins, I was asked to get off the stretcher and sit in the waiting room. They took vitals, blood, & x-ray. Never saw a doctor after over 2-hrs past midnight. The nurse nonchalantly said it would take 6 more hours to see a doctor, and I had a 2 hour drive. There were many others who had been there for hours (some over 6 hours) and were leaving. Never again. Real rating 0.5 stars.

I had my first child at this place. In triage, I was scared by the NP that I would have to be induced and have a c-section, when I was told by the clinic I was at earlier, to go to the hospital for “observation “. I was not a ‘high-risk’ pregnancy either. The nurses in L&D advocated for me, which readily assured me. However, once I got to The Postpartum unit, the day nurses were nasty. I was not being assessed, then they tried to determine how much pain medication I needed, after having emergency surgery. Then the night shift had some good nurses, but I had one Nurse that was very cold towards me. The lactation consultant was very helpful. To top it off, the hospital INCORRECTLY CHANGED THE SPELLING OF MY CHILD’S FIRST NAME on the paperwork they submitted, when I wrote it correctly. If they had any questions, they could have contacted me, rather then assuming I spelt it wrong. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting it changed through social security on my own. Like I needed any more stress after having a child.

What an extremely disheartening and discouraging experience. We have been waiting for 12 hours to be seen, sitting in the waiting room for the ER. No updates, no communication. I cannot believe a Johns Hopkins facility would have such a lack of quality in care. We traveled over an hour and 20 minutes to come to this facility in hopes that my wife could receive the care she needs. I am in disbelief at the seemingly little care and concern at this facility not just for my wife but for all the other patients here sitting in pain for 10 plus hours with no end in sight. I expected so much better from this place. If we reach 15 hours of sitting we will just leave and try another hospital, which we dont want to have to wait another potential 10 plus hours but we are feeling so defeated from this experience.

I should’ve known better than to go to Howard county community hospital today for stomach pain. This is the same hospital that I came to for Covid and they failed to tell me that I had Covid pneumonia… at that time they gave me cough syrup and sent me on my way. I had to continue treatment with my primary care physician. Oh but today took the cake… I was in the ER from 200am to 100 pm for stomach pains. They took my flood and had me sitting there as they called ppl that got there after me. A guy was puking in a bag for well over 2 hours. I still had not been seen at 700 am and I asked when I would get assistance the nurse at the desk seemed to have an attitude & rudely stated that there were no beds. I waited longer and was finally put in a room and I had to bring up my lab results to the the doctor since it didn’t appear as though she was going to go over the results with me. She completed an exam and only focused on one of my concerns. Told me I had to get an ultrasound and when the tech came to get me she said they were trying to find me. This is a poor example of a Johns Hopkins property/ affiliate hospital. I should have just waited to see a gastro doctor instead of spending all my time in the ER and not be taken seriously and prescribed ibuprofen as the end all be all. Also they should be sanitizing in between patients. At least attempt to spray the dirty chairs.

This hospital is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I was traveling (not from Maryland) and had to go to the Emergency Room for a heart related pain (having a history of heart issue). First let’s talk about the staff in the receptionist area. They were rude and nasty to anyone that had a question. Second let’s talk about making people wait for 10-13 hours. I wait 12 hours with my 2 children just for them to ask me to take a Covid test and I asked them how much longer they said they didn’t know. I use to work as a Phlebotomist in my state and the nurses that took blood at Howard Hospital and put my IV in need to be retrained. I was stuck 5 times the first IV was so painful she had to take it out. I have really easy veins to get it was unbelievable. Then 6-7 different people that came in after me were seen by the doctor before me and sent home. I’ve been to a few different hospitals in my life unfortunately and this hospital was literally the WORST. Someone coming from out of town I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone even more in an emergency.

Horrible experience in the ER. I came here with chest pains and other symptoms characteristic of a stroke. The techs were wonderful and conducted the myriad of tests professionally and speedily. However, the nurses are rude and condescending. They made me wait for 10 hours before bothering to call the doctor, even though I'd received the test results thorough their portal online. Absolutely apathetic to my health concerns. I don't recommend this place at all.

"0" is what I meant to rank if possible. My father-in-law, a cancer patient, has been stuck in Emergency since 9am yesterday. And no food provided to him until 11am today after we complained. No food for more than 24 hours! What kind of hospital is this? Called Patient Relations at the number given here and could only leave a msg, which means more delays at best.

So disappointing to be a Howard county resident and prefer to go to St Agnes in Baltimore fir better service. My son asked that I not bring him here but I did. He sat here for over 5 hours and has not seen a Dr yet. While I have been here I have witnessed 4 to 5 staff members asking for the same patient. The patient went back like 30 minutes before. They did this continuously throughout my time here. I told them if they stop calling the same names over and over maybe they could get to my son who had been here for 4.5 hours at that point. The staff is rude and condescending. The best thing about this place is the charging station.

These guys saved my life and helped me through a scary health episode using a good mix of quick action to diagnose the issue but conservative care and monitoring to see if my condition would stabilize without surgery. The ER nurse and the “outpatient” ward nurses were all excellent. My charts updated really quickly and the coordination with my regular providers was seamless. Dare I say the food was nice too?

I give this place 5 stars because of the nurses we had that took care of my dad. Sarah, Sam and Jennifer were great nurses! They truly cared for my dad and wanted to make sure he was as comfortable as possible. He was a cancer patient that had come in because of extreme pain. He loved how the three nurses listened to him, joked, cared and were completely honest with him. They are such amazing women! My dad passed away recently but hearing him talk about his experience here made me smile. Thank you for taking great care of my dad during his stay!

I was at HCGH for the birth of my first son 2021. Everyone from the doctors, nurses, lactation consultants, and anesthesiologist helped me have a great experience. The anesthesiologist was excellent and helped me stay calm educating me along the way, the nurses in both labor & delivery and maternal care unit were all so amazing answering all questions and being extremely attentive and helping educate us in the hospitaland for our return home. I'm so happy I was at this hospital for the birth of my first, everything went smoothly.

My little had a scheduled surgery here on Monday. Staff was so helpful, kind, and caring. They made us feel a lot more confident about the procedure and took extra time to help us feel comfortable. Everyone was very professional. facilities were very clean and lunch was good. Very good hospital with great staff!

Had a baby delivered here about a week ago and I can't say enough about how incredible the entire experience was. The nursing staff was attentive, caring for my wife, and truly incredible throughout the labor process. The facility was roomy, clean, and just great. The postpartum staff was helpful and kind. Everything was truly amazing and I cannot recommend enough choosing this hospital for such an experience.

Since I can't update my review from a few weeks ago I am writing a new one. The billing department did NOT listen to me when I told them I was a veteran and would be using the VA Community Care insurance. Just received a bill and they had sent it to Tricare. So now instead of the VA paying my visit, I owe money. This is absolutely ridiculous. Putting in the wrong insurance. Someone isn't doing their job correctly. You don't mess with peoples finances like that. So unprofessional. Never going there again. If its not the insane wait time, its billing. Such a joke.

Worst ER services ever seen in my life! Arrive at 3pm with my mom whom is elderly and not feeling well. 7 hours and 20 minutes and we’re still in waiting room! Yes they did vitals 3 times, blood work, xray and a breathing treatment but still sent us back to waiting area amongst all the other sick people. Including ones throwing up on floor and I’m bags! Could not give a update on how long we would be, bathroom dirty, didn’t see them wipe nothing! Not even the pen that each person came in and signed electronically with including a man with blood all over his hands. Worst experience ever here. Use to use this hospital all the time when lived closer but absolutely will not return here ever again and I would suggest others didn’t!!!

Very disappointing! The initial triage and lab/EKG was quick and the staff pleasant, skilled and efficient. But then the wait begins! I waited over 7 hours in severe abdominal pain (8 out of 10 and doubled over) without seeing a provider so I left. No one even checked on me for six hours until a tech came and rechecked my vital signs. The front desk staff are like robots - they got the information to check me in but showed no emotion or compassion. My lab work came back showing elevated WBC’s and neutrophils, indicating an infection. I went to a minor emergency center a few days later and had my labs repeated, exam done, and antibiotic prescribed in an hour and a half. This seems to be a consistent story at this ER. There needs to be attention paid to the reasons it consistently ranks low and ways to improve to the standard befitting the Johns Hopkins name.

This is a real post I was there on September 21 2023 for a revised knee replacement. From the start all workers were very professional towards me. The staff in the waiting room and getting me prep for surgery nothing but love.even the staff that took care of me till the end when I left on Saturday morning. The room was really cleaned and maintained. I would like to give kudos to my surgeon and his team you are the best . May GOD BLESS YOU All. Be kind to people and don’t look for negativity to disrupt the any positive situations. Once that starts we are different people. The hospital staff works very long hours and just because we aren’t getting what we want is not fare to them because nobody knows what they are going through. If you see things that are dirty just report it the proper person in charge if you want to make a difference and not post it.

My mother was rushed to this hospital after losing consciousness during her kidney dialysis, she was then rushed into emergency surgery a couple of days later. At the time of admission my mother had her phone with her (this is logged in her record), where she also keeps her license and debit card. While she was being transferred rooms her phone was lost. This was almost a week ago. It took me several days and speaking with several nurses to be referred to the correct department to file a proper complaint. Although they did offer to search the hospital and email the linen company, the overarching theme of our conversations was that the hospital isn’t liable for my mothers belongings because she signed a waiver and that my mother in her extremely incapacitated state should have kept track of them. My mother is just now becoming coherent enough to understand where she is; we have no way of disabling her debit card to ensure her funds are protected, she also uses her phone to pay her rent which is now past due. In a situation that could easily be life threatening this establishment has only made it more stressful. My mother has been admitted to an array of different hospitals and this is the first time she’s ever not had her valuables returned to her or kept safe. I will never choose to have my mother cared for by this hospital again.

Waiting over 10 hours in the ER, without any communication, i got and asked a few times and I got no response, the front desk is rude and they dont care about the patients at all. There was a patient connected to an IV and the IV machine went off for over 2 hrs, nor the nurses or anybody seemed to care. People who came after me were seen and sent home before I was even seen, never in a million years thought this hospital was this bad since John Hopkins has a good reputation, I rather take the drive to Holy Cross!

They have taken good care of myself and all of my children. The nurses have literally become family because of the love and care they have shown for myself and my family. I've had 3 c-sections and all of them have been flawless. Love this hospital.

7 and 1/2 hours of excruciating pain and we still haven't seen a doctor. Finally got put into a room and haven't been checked on yet. We have been to Hopkins in Baltimore and it's nothing like this place...Howard General you need to do better!! I want to add a shout out to RuShell(I hope I have her name right) at the front desk at the ER..she was the most compassionate employee we encountered during our 10 hour visit. Thanks for the great personality and customer service.

Truly a kind and caring hospital. My 102 year old grandma was in the ER twice this year. The doctors, nurses, and caregivers were exceptionally kind and patient with us all. They went above and beyond for my grandma (by making sure she was comfortable and treated properly), and I am truly grateful. A+ service and care.

I was shocked by my experience in the emergency room and even more shocked by their "fall risk" procedures once I was admitted. I came to the emergency room suffering with extreme abdominal pain at 11:05 PM. The emergency room was full. I was seen shortly for vitals and blood work (The bathrooms are horrible) and a cat scan. No further attention until 3:30 AM by a triage nurse. I sat upright in a chair until 10 AM when I couldn't take the pain anymore. I begged for pain killers as my back and stomach were burning. I finally got to see a doctor and they put me in a bed in the emergency treatment area until 10 PM that night and I never saw another doctor. At 10 PM after loudly complaining, they found a room for me in the hospital. That is when i experienced the "fall risk" procedure. I do not know who assesses the fall risk but if you try to get up to go to the bathroom or sit up, a large sounding alarm goes off. So you are a captive of the bed. BTW, the nurses and helpers all seem to care and I thank them.

Nurse Kibby really advocated for our newborn who was going through a severe bout of jaundice. We have been to several other hospitals and have worked with other lactation consultants before, and this is the first nurse who was beyond helpful to us. It was a blessing that she came to us in our dire time of need for our baby. She answered all of our questions and provided us with the feedback we needed to feel confident with feeding our child. She also discovered that our baby was tongue-tied whereas other nurses did not pick up on this problem. She provided us with a solution to fix the tongue tie which ultimately remedied the feeding problem with our baby. Removing the tongue tie pretty much resolved the feeding issues we had. Not only did she take correct of actions were other hospitals fell short, she stayed well after her shift to ensure that she gave us a hand written notes of instructions and recommendations for when we go home. We still ouse these instructions she provided to us to this day. This woman deserves the highest accolades possible!

Pure garbage. I went for shaking issues in july they made me wait hours just to say nothings wrong and send me home. I went to a real doctor and they did an MRI on my neck showing I had a spinal cord injury and needed "emergent spinal surgery" which i got. I have been seening doctors following that and today my doctor sent me via ambulance to "the hospital" because of tachycardia restong heart rate was up to 155 sustained. I end up at the Howard County General and they immediately sent me to the waiting room where I was goven zero information on what was going on so I decided to leave . They said there nothing abnormal in my chart so I am free to leave yet my chart shows multiple abnormalities in my blood work. Why would a hospital who is filled with people that "first, do no harm" make a person with a spinal cord injury sit in a chair for over 8 hours and nothing to eat. Do not go to this hospital. If you have a legit issue there is a chance they will probably just let yoy die or injure you more in the process.

We took my MIL there for abdominal pain. The ER was packed. They triaged her from the lobby, ran multiple scans and gave her and IV drip. By the time we were in an ER room the doctor was able to give us a diagnosis within a few minutes. The staff were polite and helpful. My MIL was exhausted and a little snappy. Overall it worked out. She was admitted and had an emergency surgery. The staff explained everything clearly and were very helpful. The surgery was successful and Dr. Harris and his team explained everything we needed to know. The room was clean and staff were very responsive. Aside from the understandably long wait in the ER the entire process was a good one.

Long ER wait times, poor service and the time I had RSV and was having an asthma attack and I was refused medication while they only had my Medicaid on file. I had to wait around four hours with just a rescue inhaler in a trailer by myself. Conveniently they started to notice that I literally could not breathe after they got my other insurance from my job. Then I ended up having to stay for two days. I had never felt so helpless.

If I could give 0 stars I would! This has been the worst experience at a hospital I have ever had. My dad came in by Ambulance due to a CAR ACCIDENT and was told he would be on a “priority” list…. WRONG! We have been waiting for over 4+hours while he is pain, unable to stand, swollen stomach and much more. We have asked for a wait time and the RN and Receptionists act like we are bothering them and not answering our questions and being extremely rude. We have asked for pain medicine and some food due to his diabetes and high blood pressure. 2 hrs have passed and NOTHI NG! We have asked multiple times for updates but they just keep telling us to wait. Even for a nurse to assist them to use the RESTROOM!! This is LITERALLY ONE OF THE WORST HOSPITAL EVER!!! RN here don’t care for the patient and front desk is extremely rude and not putting the patient first.

This review is for labor and delivery only This place is an amazing hospital to have kids in. We have had two kids here and one had a protracted monitoring stay. I’ve probably spent 2 full weeks of my life in the labor and delivery part of the hospital. The nurses and care there are great. -1 star because they did take away lunch and dinner for the bedside live-in guest which was a cheap move.

I Would Not come here if it was the closest hospital to my house. Everyone who works here looks like they don’t want to be at work. Trust me I know the feeling but if I pick up a shift (especially Night Shift ) at least I can pretend. There are barely people in the waiting area and I have been waiting 8 hours!! The don’t update you on waiting time nothing to make the patient feel alil better for the wait. Please don’t come here if your extremely ill.

This is an atrocious hospital. This hospital and its staff seem more interested in the hospital’s accounting sheets and how much money they can make off if each patient rather than helping people. You will wait hours and hours to be seen- and the care is substandard. The bathrooms- even in the patients’ rooms are disgusting. Do not go to this hospital under any circumstance- and this might come at the expense of not only your long-term health- but potentially- your life.

Had a fusion in my neck in 2012. Had C5,6,7 fused together. I was scared to death that I could never walk again. Dr Shin fixed me up. I stayed overnight and I couldn't happier. My Cardiologists are part of John's Hopkins Hospital and I will never change anything. Excellent set of Nurses. My overnight Nurse was so wonderful. Just so kind and very understanding. Never wanted for anything. My day shift was as sweet as pie. HELPED ME TO THE Bathroom ro get dressed to go home. I would thank the Staff and my surgeon for a stress free surgery.

I had planned spinal fusion surgery in early November and ended up staying three and a half days inpatient. While recovering from back surgery was challenging, the staff at HCGH made my experience as comfortable and as smooth as possible. From calling the surgery center ahead of time to ask questions; to checking in; to my experiences with the anesthesiologist, OR nurses, surgeon, and recovery nurses, technicians, and physical therapists...everyone was professional, highly competent, patient, and compassionate. This was my first major surgery, so I asked a lot of questions and was anxious about how recovery would go. I felt listened to and always felt that my health was in good hands. I'm now recovering at home, and I know that it has gone well because of all of the care taken by the staff in the hospital.

I’m not one to leave bad reviews usually but my visit to this hospital was awful. I waited for 6 hours and was never given anything for my pain or infection. Doctor discharged me and gave me ibuprofen script which I can’t take because I have chrons. I even disclosed my illness. Seriously couldn’t even give me Tylenol? Waiting room was full of people puking and moaning and I heard the front desk lady loudly say that there were multiple covid positive patients there.

Arrived at ER. Got processed and in a room within 60 minutes! That was great. Waited for a room upstairs to become available it took 9 hours while waiting in an ER bed, it's a busy hospital, but it was waiting in a bed, no so bad. With COVID every nurse and doctor is putting their life on the line. Show some interest, ask about them how they are doing. ER can be a war zone, time your arrival.

Having to visit the ER the other night after days of not feeling well. Unfortunately you know how the wait can be when visiting the emergency room. I packed my phone charger and patience. I walked in and was taken care of right away, the waiting area was packed and they did their best to assess everyone in a appropriate time. Due to the nature of my visit, they made sure they did every single thing to ensure I would be in the best shape possible. Being in the medical field myself I knew there was certain things that needed to be done, they exceeded my expectations. I stayed there for SEVERAL hours, but I left with my mind at ease and felt confident in what the doctor and nurses said to me. Thank you to everyone from the front desk, to the techs, nurses and providers who gave care to me on Monday. They all played a important role in patient care to each and every person who walked through that door. I'm pleased and left Tuesday satisfied. Please don't make a decision based on the other reviews because every experience is different. I'm glad I took a chance, and will trust this place if the need comes again.

I hardly ever write reviews, but the lack of cleanliness in the hospital is horrific. The bathrooms in the ER were disgusting. Fecal matter was on the toilet and urine covered some of the floor. I refused to use the bathroom, and requested to use another one outside the ER. The wait time and the triage process needs to be revamped. This was my first experience, and it was not delightful. It is imperative for the health and safety of all that administration fully evaluate concerns throughout the system.

Amazing ER and Medical/Nursing staff during my stay. I felt taken care of every step of the way. I was attended to and my health needs were not brushed off. Everyone took my symptoms seriously and addressed them immediately, plus they provided amazing follow-up referrals.

We came here to deliver our first baby. Overall our experience at the hospital was very positive. The staff were all very helpful, attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. The room we stayed in was comfortable and the food was pretty good. We felt well taken care of and will certainly come back again if we have a second baby. They definitely tried their best to ensure baby and mom are off to a great start.

Hospital is part of John's Hopkins Medicine and is very well kept with a very experienced set of staff including doctors and nurses. Been here several times, and Emergency tends to be less crowded than St. Agnes. Newer hospital with all th amenities.

Worst hospital ever. After you are being admitted into the hospital, they just left you to die. It takes couple hours for a nurse to show up when requested. It takes days for you to see a doctor. It takes days for you to get a blood transfusion when your life is on the line. You can't even get the essential medicines for hours when ur life is on the line. This is ridiculous. They don't care about people's lives here which is the worse You can get in a hospital. American hospital is just the worst.

How can a hospital of this stature not have enough beds?! My mother was throwing up blood and they literally could not even be bothered to move her into a room, she was waiting in the waiting room for over 4 hours. They told us they wouldn't be taking anyone in unless they were in critical condition, so basically unless you are physically dying on the floor they won't bat an eyelash. Pure insanity.

I was in the ER/Hospital this week and I really can't say enough good things about the ER. Because of my symptoms, I was pushed up in the triage priority, so I didn't have the usual long wait to be seen. But once they got me back into the ER, I was very impressed with the speed which things happened. (I had been in HCGH 5 years ago with same symptoms, and the response was much slower at every step.) They kept me moving from test to test, and I never felt like I had been abandoned. The nurses and doctor were truly outstanding. And get this. Even the ER bed was super comfortable. (That NEVER happens.) They kept me overnight as they needed more testing not available to the next day, so they moved me to "Observation" ... which is like a hospital room without admitting me. Once there things slowed down a lot, more of the typical hospital visit where you are waiting (and waiting) for the next test or doctor. Mind you, everyone was pleasant and accommodating. But it just didn't feel like the well oiled machine that I experienced in the ER. If anyone is hesitant to use HCGH's ER because of past experience, I would say give it another try. I mean, I would avoid the ER if you can use an Urgent Care clinic, but if you absolute need an ER, consider Howard County General.

I went to Howard County Hospital for an emergency of my pregnancy at 22 weeks 5 days due to some sudden force on my belly, so just wanted to be sure my baby is okay. Both nurses Pam and Sara were so helpful and very attentive on checking my baby's heart rate, and especially, I love Dr. Udo. She was the obgyn that took care of me at the ER twice, and she was so attentive and care about my health and the baby. She was really careful throughout the examination and thoroughly on everything. My experience was so good at the hospital and wait time for me was not bad, and not taking that long compared to California (where I was from), so everything here to me was a very great experience and all nurses and Dr. Udo were so great.

LABOR AND DELIVERY/NICU: I cannot brag about the L&D floor and the NICU enough….these people are amazing. I had my second daughter in 2021 and always said I’d come back if I was pregnant again….I delivered my son in June 2023 and Dr Rojas did my emergency C-section, such a sweet and amazing Dr….the Drs and the nurses all were so sweet, caring….the nicu nurses and Drs we encountered are so so amazing as well….Nurse Kat, Nurse Quincy and Kristina from L&D will always be in my mind with how amazing I was treated by them. The nicu nurses: Nurse Terry, Nurse Kim, Nurse Noelle, Nurse Jen, Nurse Annette, Nurse Bailey, speech therapist Jen, so many more were outstanding, and the receptionist Vivian is always so sweet and smiley….always a welcoming environment ❤️

I was seriously dismayed to find my cognitively impaired aunt eating with what I thought was dirt under her fingernails. She had been in the hospital for a week. When I asked what going on with her nails, Staff told me she digs in her bottom when being changed. So basically, staff did not clean her fingernails and allowed her to eat with dried feces under them. How on earth could a facility that is supposed to be helping to heal a patient actively permit the introduction of bacteria into their system during meals? It is unconscionable and obviously do no harm does not apply hear.

Currently in the HOCOG ER with my mother who was brought here by ambulance after she passed out during physical therapy and it took a minute for the paramedics to bring her around. She had been in the ER waiting area since 2:00/3:00 pm . Finally got into a room about 8:00pm. She’s hooked up to monitor heart/blood pressure. One of the lil clamps had fell off and I had to put it back on. Not sure if an alarm is suppose to goes off for it or not but it didn’t. One nurse stated there was only two doctors here. That is a staffing problem that needs to be addressed. Still waiting to have a doctor assigned to her. How is this acceptable???? Still waiting (if we don’t turn to dust first) and it’s almost 10:30pm.
