Warning for the sensitive!! But that even more reason to read it. I was taken to Northwest Hospital on Sunday September 05, 2021 approximately 7:10pm. Upon entering the emergency department through the front entrance. I completed a Covid questionnaire, while sitting in a wheel chair with my right ankle bone protruding through my skin. I was told to wait to be called. As, I was assisted into the ER completely by my daughter. I witnessed how over-crowded and disgusting the waiting area appeared. It took less then two minutes to confer with my daughter about going to a different Hospital. YES IT WAS THAT BAD!! with a broken ankle and being in horrible pain. I was in my best interest to find a clean hospital, with staff that at least put on a happy to help you attitude. So, I just received a bill from Northwest Hospital in the amount of $45.43. The bill states medical supplies. they didn't even triage me. what medical supplies? Nothing was done. UPDATE!! Mr.Forbes from Northwest guest relations office called on 04/06/2022. He asked for at least two weeks to investigate and resolve this issues. He stated today 04/21/2022 as we spoke that the balance was resolved. I am please with this outcome. Also that Mr. Forbes followed through as stated. I would appreciate a statement with that zero balance mailed to me please and thank you in-advance.

If I could give this hospital 0 stars I would. My mom had surgery and had to stay for an extra day the nurses bedside manners are truly horrible. I should have read the reviews before letting her have her surgery here. This hospital should consider putting the nurses through hospitality training, being that on the reviews everyone has the same complaint. Being I’m a nurse myself I would never treat a patient like their health doesn’t matter or their pain isn’t bad based off of “my opinion.”

My mother has been in the BHU twice in the past year. Each time we had trouble reaching her. The staff in that unit are rude and do not return phone calls. During our most recent experience, Jennifer a social worker in the BHU, began to talk over me on the phone and make demands of what was to be done about my mother's care. I expect more of a trained social worker who is supposed to be skilled at interacting with family members. Furthermore, she decided to bad mouth me to other members of my family after our call. This behavior was totally inappropriate and she should be documented for her actions.

My experience at Northwest differs from many below. I had joint replacement surgery there (rather than at Sinai for scheduling purposes) in October, 2021, and the entire experience was positive. It was scheduled (and billed) as outpatient even though I was probably there 36 hours. Everyone I encountered was professional, highly skilled, and clearly cared about me. Before surgery, everyone involved introduced themselves, explained their roles, and answered questions. My post op experience was great (except the pain which they managed well). I had OT and PT quickly to assess my ability to go home and to show me what I needed to do. I tweaked my shoulder before discharge, and they held me back while a PA got and x-ray and consulted with the surgeon. When it became clear that I would be discharged AFTER the pharmacy closed and I would have no way to get my pain meds, a nurse thought of and followed through on a solution. He put me in a wheelchair with my ID (narcotics) and brought me down to the pharmacy so that I could get my pain meds and go home. That was a first for me in terms of patient care. And my surgery had a great outcome/ exceeding expectations!

Unless you don't have a choice and is transported here by ambulance, stay away from this hospital. Some of those staff are only there for the money. They smile at your face while loved is there and once you leave, they are treated with complete disregard. Today I found a bloody gown of my mom in the restroom. The incident was never reported to me neither by the doctor nor the nurse. When I saw a bruise on her arm and asked about it, that's when they say she pulled her Iv earlier. She's been fighting an Infection all day with allucinations and uncontrollable hands movements. Yet nothing has been done to help her. If I didn't find the bloody gown I wouldn't know what happened. I called the so called patient relationship line but nobody is available since it's the weekend. It's saddened me how people who take oath to protect and care for others are the same ones who could care less about their health. Simply disgusting

My name is Timothy Osborne. I was a patient today in the hospital in Northwest and I just wanted to commend the staff that was there it was very busy this morning when I got there. But they were so concerned about me and my individual needs that they stabilize me in the waiting room I received medication fluids and a constant check on my stability if I was okay. I want to thank the nursing staff from the time I walked in the young lady that took my blood the doctor was excellent the nursing staff in the back when I got to my room was top notch. I felt like family I didn't feel like a patient. I felt they were generally concerned about my needs and my health and they even made me laugh.. the charge nurse had been through similar experiences as mine health-wise. And shared it with me. And I felt someone fully understood what I was going through. I want to thank every one of the people I came in contact with and even when I sat back and watched the rest of the staff work I was highly impressed the team worked there is excellent the care there is excellent and the game like I said they were crowded today but yet I felt I was the only one there God bless you I thank you for the work that you do and you're truly appreciated by me even the follow-up doctor he wrote my prescriptions he made sure I was taking care of medication wise because I have another week before I see my new primary care doctor because the old one retired and I had to find a new one. And he made sure I had enough medication to get through until I get came in contact with him excellent job excellent

Most of the nurses were horrible and made me feel bad about myself. They poked me so many times to get blood work and then got upset at me when I moved because they poked me at my wrist and it really hurt. Not good communication with my outside providers even though my doctor tried really hard to reach them. The nurse practitioner I had did not know what he was doing. It took forever for me food to come and they were stingy about snacks. There were a few good nurses who went out of their way for me, but overall the experience was traumatic for me. Please don’t go there.

My recent visit on Saturday to this establishment was quite inimical. The female security officer was very pleasant. Before being seen in the ER, the intake specialist acted as if she didn't want to be there. She gave no eye contact, not a smile, she was a tyro. The second person who took my vitals was very helpful, polite and informative. When I finally made it back to one of the ER rooms, I waited almost 40 mins to be seen. The time before that was over an hour. While waiting, I overheard the nursing staff discuss all kinds of things from plans for a Friendsgiving, current bath & body work sales to an addict who was brought in by a police officer that no one wanted to see. As a patient, I should not have heard any of these discussions, especially since no one showed any sense of urgency to get the patients in and out. When the head/charge nurse finally came in my room, it was time for transport to take me for my x-ray. The head nurse is older, loud and used to work at Sinai. How do I know? I heard her taking about it, instead of checking on her patients. I was so upset, especially when I heard the staff talking about things like there were no patients waiting to be seen. The wait time at this hospital gets worse. The staff here are fudgel. Please stop hiring people who are indolent and hire people who are avid. If it was not for the convenience of this place, I would not go.

I’m to MD and urgent care recommend I come here. From the receptionist, triage nurse and my PA Calvin I felt so cared for and safe. Hospitals suck but I had a great experience with the staff/facility. I felt like they were very thorough, everyone I met at each step of the way was caring, sweet and explained everything to me. I came in with so much anxiety and left at peace.

7 hour and 23 minutes before we got into a room. My husband is a 10 year stroke survivor and a diabetic cardiac patient. We went to Express Care for treatment of a sinus infection and swollen face but they sent us to Northwest for a CT scan. . We arrived at 12 pm. At 6 pm I got angry and asked how much longer. He was in pain and cold so they gave him a warm blanket. . Once we finally got inthe room they were apologetic and bent over backwards to provide care. He finally got seen by a doctor and an IV started and CT scan done. The triage nurse was great but she was overwhelmed with all of the patients coming in. I called our insurance carrier and complained. Not enough staff for the influx of patients. We were discharged to home at 10 pm. We will be reluctant to go there again.

I have read the comments and it’s a disgrace and the administration at the hospital should be removed from their positions. One of my family member was taken here on Friday night bleeding profusely from his nose and even though he was transported via ambulance he sat there for 1 hour without any medical attention. Fortunately a compassionate nurse pass by and saw my family member situation and took him to a room and call for help! I would not send my dog there for treatment. I notice hospital personnel posted responses to comments yet no changes so whoever you are your words are meaningless!

I knew it wouldn't be a "quick" visit since I went on a Saturday morning, but, I was VERY pleased with the care, patience, and compassion I received from my nurse, Jazmine I believe she said her last name was Smith. She was very attentive and even with as busy as it was and as many patients she had I didn't have to wait long whenever I hit the call button had needed her. She was very kind and in my opinion went above and beyond to make me feel as comfortable as I possibly could and kept me in good spirits.

We visited NW hospital 11/27/22@ 10 30pm. The triage nurse who had no name tag on ( white with long brown hair lower back not tied up) and who also refuse to give her name. Violated my dad (the patient) patients rights! She started flushing his catheter, when he jump, I said daddy she is supposed to explain what she is doing before or while she is doing it. I said I think she is flushing your catheter. She just looked at me. No response to my dad at all (the patient). I Said to the triage nurse you're supposed to tell him what you are doing you are violating his patients rights l asked her name she said I don't give out my name. I'm sure she did not learn this bedside manner in nursing school or at NW hospital new employee orientation! I know help is hard to find but really my dad (the patient) should be treated with respect!

I’ve been a patient in this hospital for back surgery last year, June 2021 and then I had a total hip replacement surgery in July, just last month and as soon as I’m able to have it done I’m having the other hip done! Other than being short staffed in every department, I was treated like royalty; in my opinion, and with extraordinary care, but that was in part because I treated everyone there from housekeeping to the nurses with the same respect and courtesy as they gave me! I didn’t ring my bell for service unless it was absolutely necessary. And as soon as I felt comfortable and safe in doing everything for myself, I rang for them even less. This allowed them the time it took to wait on others. The physical therapists and occupational therapist took exceptional care in helping me do the exercises pertaining to my type of surgery! I was taught what I absolutely shouldn’t do for now and I’m still catching myself starting to do one of those things! I learned a lot. Well, I’m going to close for now. I know this is long and I’m sorry for that but I would and will recommend this hospital to anyone I know who is going to need surgery or a good doctor and nurses. These nurses at Northwest Hospital are to be commended for their efforts in caring for the patients. As for the rest of the staff from the techs on, thank you for your excellent service and care! 💜

If I could rate this place zero stars, I definitely would. However, I am writing this review as a public service advisory because this place is truly terrible. In fact, it is the absolute worst hospital in the area. I had to wait for 5 hours with my son just to have a nurse inform me that they will call me back with the results, which are seen by a doctor in Baltimore-Sinai. Next time, I'll just drive there myself because it will likely be faster. Seriously, I strongly advise you to avoid this place at all costs.

I am a complex patient with a few rare diseases that makes working on me a bit more of an issue. I had orthopedic work done by Dr Mont who recently returned there. I had the best anesthesiologist who knew more about 1 of my rare diseases than dozens of other doctors I’ve seen and as a result we had no post op problems from the anesthesia. I could not be more pleased. The staff I interacted with were all top notch and friendly, private rooms and good food, an added bonus I must say. I would have no hesitation in returning

Was there for outpatient surgery in the main Hospital. All staff were extremely nice and pleasant. Very nice waiting area and electronically let my loved ones know where I was in the process. Again I can’t say how enough about the staff of how nice and professional they were from the greeter to the discharge nurse and the OR Team

Well all I can say is I would rather be driven 4 hours away to a much better hospital because you will wait for 8 hours to be seen, if not lost in the system. I highly reccomend that all departments be shut down and a 24 hour seminar be given and all the reviews read out loud so that the staff at Northwest understands and feels the awful and frustrating overall consensus of their patients. People that choose the medical profession, if not personal, compassionate, professional, patient, understanding , confidential or efficient should NOT EVER Choose such a profession to be a part of. These types of people are a disgrace to the medical professionals that care and only make sick people sicker!

My husband and I were both treated for dehydration at different hospitals on the same day. My treatment was at another hospital and I was cared for quickly and effectively and billed $200. My husband went here, waited 6.5 hours for care and was billed $780. Mediocre care, staff were rude and incompetent. I had to tell them what my husband needed because they were trying to treat him for a UTI that he did not have. A joke. One star is generous.

My wife suffers from migraines and yesterday evening was one of those unfortunate events. We drove over to the Howard County Hospital ER but they appeared to be having an unusually busy night so we decided to go to Northwest. I wish I could say that the rest of this review was going to be stellar, but it’s not. We arrived o/a 10 PM and the ER was not what I would call busy so we decided to stay. The “Registrar” on duty who attended us needs a lesson in manners and etiquette when dealing with people. A little respect goes a long way in my book and she needs the lesson in manners she failed to receive in her childhood. It took quite sometime before my wife was triaged and considering the number of folks in the waiting room I found the wait unacceptable. At 4:30 AM one of the nurses informed us that my wife was going to receive a cocktail used to treat migraine patients. However, this was being done because it would still be several hours (nurse’s words not mine) before the doctor would see her. Several hours? It’s 4 am and we’ve been there since 10 PM the previous day! After an informative discussion with the nurse, the nurse was kind enough to recommend that we should depart after the mandatory waiting period passed (based on meds administered) and with the doctor’s consent. So, at 5:30 AM, the nurse removed the IV port and we left. Unfortunately, we were back in the ER the following day - but not this ER. I wish I could give this place less than 1 star because they truly earned it. It’s a shame the medical professionals who we never got to see in the back, will suffer from the poor performance of the triage team. Even the word team is an overstatement here. Do yourselves a favor and go someplace else.

Admitted to emergency evening of July 22, evening. While no good view of patients waiting, received quality attention with no problem. After being officially admitted, received all needed attention without excessive waits.even though overnight staff very busy. Never lacked any necessary or requested attention. Staff very courteous. Would not hesitate to use Northwest if needed in the future.

The worst most unwelcoming hospital ever, as a patients visitor this place is the worst my brother in law had to wait 5 hours for c.t scan, while he has a head injury and he was still bleeding all they did was stitch him up and made him move from the room, same thing with my nephew when he broke his arm, waited 6 hours just for a toddler to get his arm checked and just for a sling and a wrap around the arm. Even though there are good nurses others are the worst do not come to this hospital unless you have a fever or minor injury and time on your hands

I have read all the reviews. As far as the ER. Have you been to other ER's. You wait 12,16,24 hrs. This is the best hospital. My father is in the ICU. I have never seen a hospital where they call me to give updates. They are very professional, caring empathetic .He could not be better taken care of. At first I complained about the ambulance taking so far away. Now I know it is the best place he could be .

My mom had a stroke and was taken by ambulance to Northwest Hospital. First off, the EMT'S were exceptional. There were no available beds at NW, so they wanted to take my mom to Sinai Hospital because they had available beds.. I explained to them that my truck was unsafe to drive and I did not want to risk driving it there. The guys were so nice that they said no problem, we will take her to NW so you can be with her. I found them to be extremely helpful and professional. Check-in went smoothly at the ER even though they were very busy. Staff was on point as far as courtesy and professionalism. My mom was admitted and was treated extremely well by all of the staff members. Even the housekeeping staff were very friendly and polite. This was one of the best experiences that my mom has had at any hospitals. Great team of doctors, nurses, techs, etc.

Everyone involved with my care and stay at Northwest Hospital was amazing!! From my surgeon Dr. Christina Li, to the PACU nurses Wendy, Lucille, Fannie, and Beverly, to my assigned nurses Amanda, Candace, and of course Ms. Asa!! They all contributed to a wonderful experience. I was loved on, cared for, and educated on my new journey. Thank you Northwest Nurses!! And of course Dr. Li is the very best!!! Thank you so much Dr. Li for everything!! 🌺🌺🌺🌺

My sister had to be admitted for a case of pneumonia. The entire process was extremely slow. Took 4 hours to get a CT scan and then 6+ to just get a regular room so she could be admitted overnight. I don’t understand what the hold up is or why things can’t be done in a reasonable amount of time, especially when dealing with sick and uncomfortable people. No urgency whatsoever. Feels like you’re waiting at the DMV, not aiding to sick people.

I had my gallbladder removed at this hospital yesterday. It's a same day surgery so my procedure was at 730am and I was out of there around 1230pm. Every single doctor and nurse at this location were super nice and caring. I felt so cared for before and after my procedure. They also called me this morning to check up on how I was doing.

While the wait time was about 3 and a half hours in total before I was moved to a room from being admitted, I was being attended to for my blood work, ultrasound, EKG and CAT scan while waiting during that time, so my actual wait was broken up into manageable time periods. The staff was very friendly, caring, funny, down-to-earth, and the resources (Nurses, Doctors, and Hospital Television Programming) were very informative. I felt very well taken care of and couldn't be more grateful to the staff. Thank you all. You literally helped save my life.

My wife just had total knee replacement done at Northwest Hospital Surgery Center and spent one night in the hospital (3rd floor). It was obvious that they were short handed (but who isn't these days)! We treated with the greatest of respect and kindness from everyone we came in contact with at the hospital. From nurses to maintenance workers. everyone was friendly, positive, helpful and kind. We can't say enough good things about Northwest Hospital.

This is an excellent hospital. If my wait in the ER hadn’t been 12 hours to see a doctor I would give it 5 stars. Everyone here, and I mean everyone from the nurses to the doctors to the staff are kind and genuinely care which is hard to find. They don’t talk about you outside your room or give you a hard time or irritating looks when you use the call bell. They are happy to help you. It’s quiet, clean, organized, and it overall feels like a very calm, peaceful place to be and when you’re really sick that means a lot. Because they spend extra time with each patient making sure they feel heard, maybe that’s why the wait was so long in the ER.

Just had surgery there six days ago. Was scheduled for 9am, and it started at 9am. Right on time. The nurses were fantastic, the anesthesiologist (Dr Lee) was very thorough and thoughtful, and Dr Hobart, the breast specialist, has always been great. But honestly my favorite person all day was Fannie. She placed my IV. She told me her story to get my mind off things. I asked her to be in the recovery room when I woke up because I tend to cry, and she was RIGHT THERE when I opened my eyes. I hope I never need surgery again, but if I do I would request Northwest, and if I was there on a day Fannie was off I would reschedule if possible.

I went in last night 4/28/23 at 9:45pm due to my doctor telling me to go in because of heart Palpitations. I ended staying here nearly 11 hours for some reason and while the majority of the nurses were nice and friendly, I found 2 of the RN’s loud and obnoxious especially when dealing with me. There was a brown skin black male RN with curly hair who worked overnight who was particularly obnoxious and looked like he couldn’t be bothered when examining me and his demeanor was very unapproachable and unkind. Similarly the woman who was with him was laughing very loudly so that whenever I dozed off her laugh would cut into my dreams though she was somewhat nicer than her male counterpart. The rest of the nurses and front desk staff were nice but I’d consider driving all the way to St. Joseph's or another emergency room before coming here again.

For this to be a hospital the nurses are way too loud talking about personal. They put all patients in One room called fast treatment and everyone can hear your diagnosis when a doctor come in no privacy . And when their family members come in they are so loud . And all the nurses do is complain.

I been here since 9:20pm 04/03/2023 the Nurses in triage was very pleasant and helpful. Wait time is ridiculous long. I went to urgent care first before coming and they couldn’t do labs so they did an EKG and told told me its best to go to the emergency room to get evaluated further. I just don’t understand why I had to wait like this 7 hours and still had to wait in the room once I got called to the back. At northwest they repeated the EKG started a IV draw two tubes Lavender and a light green tubes for labs tried to administer fluids through the IV but that blow so no fluids given. I started drinking fluids now I continuously wait for the doctor. Its after 4am the next day. So ready to leave here. Never again will I come to ER even if Urgent Care tells me to go I will wait call my primary care doctor for now on.

Very impressed. My mom was taken by ambulance here on Monday. She was seen within 30 mins by a doc. Admitted for 2 days. Attentive nurses and staff. The hospital was super clean. I’m feeling indifferent. I went there after having an allergic reaction. The staff was friendly enough and professional, everything was just EXTREMELY slow. Got there at 9:15 ish. After about an 1hr so I was given an IV of meds for the allergic reaction but after that, I sat in the ER waiting room til about 2am. After about 30 more mins, I was finally seen by a doctor and she was sweet but she asked me like 3 questions and that was that. Finally I sat for about 30+ more minutes to get my iv removed and discharge papers. Around 3:30 I was finally discharged. I went to a different hospital (Sinai) a few weeks ago for something different (what are the odds?) but I was in at 9am and out by noon. I was impressed. So overall my experience wasn’t bad, it was just SLOW.

Waited over 8 hours and was never seen by a Dr. Check in was fine but no one checks on you afterwards you have to continuously followup. My husband had chest pains, shortness of breath and could barely walk. Clearly that’s an emergency to be seen by a provider or at least we would think so! They couldn’t take blood tests for some reason we were told it was hard to find the veins!! Took an EKG and there was still no followup on the results as he sat there in pain and shortness of breath. There were some patients that arrived 1pm in the afternoon and didn’t leave until 12am We realize that many hospitals may be backed up with patients but we have to get a better system. Patients were leaving out without receiving care.

2nd post. I had to come down from yesterday of Beth (black middle aged rude nasty inconsiderate female). Please note: I notice she act like a crazy person on crack yesterday like she was in charged because no one whould know her sneakiness. I say this because the black bald head guy act as if he was out of space and she was going around him pouring meds only when it was my turn to be waited on to hold me up for missing my mobility bus. Beth to seem like she only do this because usually when black females acts with this behavior its allowed because she and that black man of arican decent must have some kind of entanglements. Management really need to look into this. When the indian man with the white coat is there. There are no long lines. Everyone is courteous to us patients and you are not lied to. To woman beth has caused me great pain as always. I pray God do unto her as she done unto me. Then again I dont I pray for her instead. She must humble hersself. 1. Are they keeping oxycodines pain meds for themselves and selling them in the streets and dividing the provit. They only out when she is there without a leader or a leader not working with her. I solemly swear I am telling the truth to the best of my knowledge.I am disabled snd on a walker. if

While I have absolutely no complaints about the nursing staff-they’re WONDERFUL, I can’t say that about the rest of the hospital. Apparently the employees don’t think the rules apply to them. Four weeks straight and the SAME cars are parked in the SAME spots, of course closest to the doors. Then I don’t understand what the point of online check in is when you still have to go to the front of the bldg and do it again. So it’s park, walk 1/2 mi to check in, then walk 1/4 mi BACK to where your appt is. Haven’t had good luck with getting Rx sent to my pharmacy either. It’s been a full month, still waiting on a pre auth🙄. Unless you’re able bodied, like walking & waiting for a month for Rxs, see if there’s an alternate location you can be seen.

I went to Northwest for a double hip surgery with Dr Mont. Every single person in my care team went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and cared for. I have never had this positive of a hospital experience anywhere before. This will definitely be my go to hospital for anything in the future

Where do I start? To give Northwest a one star because I have to is being generous. I have unfortunately been here about 5 times and each time has been a horrible experience or something crazy in the waiting room was going on. I went to the ER last week and while in the main waiting room there was a lady by the name of Karen Foote. Very very nice lady. However, I don't understand why Ms. Foote felt it necessary to move me and my mother to this "little quiet waiting room" Even though my mother thinks differently I believe she did not like hearing my mother n I laughing. So she put us in this area. 3 hrs later and we are still sitting in this area. My mother grabbed a nurse and asked what the hold up was and explained my condition. Well thanks to one of the nurses she explained flat out that I was forgotten about, I was not in the system and the area that Ms. Foote so kindly put us in was a discharge /wait for test results area and they never knew I was even there. Next nurse came in and told me she was a liar she knew I was there the entire time. Ma'am you were working in triage and our paths never crossed. Anyways, after they realized I was forgotten about they had some pep in their step and moved quick Ms. Foote felt as though two pieces of blue paper with $10 on it for the cafeteria was a good way to fix the mistake that was made. Please please please If you absolutely do not have to go here DONT. Save yourself the stress. I was really disappointed on how I was treated. And I cant even understand why because Ms. Foote was so sweet and seemed sincere. DO BETTER NORTHWEST you are there to heal people and treatment like that does not heal a person.

Mean nurse's. They will get back at you if you ask them questions. DOCTORS DO NO HARM? THEY USE THEIR PERSONAL OPINION NOT THEIR MEDICAL OPINION. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE YOU ARE BOTHERING. I HAVENT HAD WATER FOR 2 DAYS. I HAVE TO BEG THEM. I HAVE BEEN CALLING THEM AND CALLING THEM. THEY IGNORED ME SINCE 3:56am til know. When I git their attention they gave me a flipped answer and closed my door. Let's see ignore the call button...........then when you manage to get their attention they close your door. I hate this hospital and their NASTY staff. But what can you do. By ambulance this is were they take.....Don't complain......they will tell you, "I can't make you stay.....you can leave"....No lie!................I hope I make it out of here ALIVE!

I was recently admitted to Northwest Hospital after an ER visit. I stayed for a total of 7 days. The staff was professional and attentive. Physicians and nurses were knowledgeable and always happy to answer any questions I had. I was extremely happy with the level of care and felt like I was in very good hands during a very scary medical experience.

Family member had outpatient surgery and a great experience. Every staff member was upbeat (such a mood lifter), helpful, friendly, and competent! My family includes 3 folks with chronic issues, so believe me, I have seen the full range of patient care. Our experience at Northwest yesterday outshines them all. From a very helpful Security officer getting me to the right parking spot to the cheerful fellow serving breakfast in the cafe, to the friendly young lady who carefully got the patient in the car, and everyone we encountered in between we felt supported and welcome. *Special thanks to Jonas for singing to a nervous patient on her way to the OR. Thank you for making a tough day easier.

First time in this hospital. Very clean and modern. I was there for inguinal hernia surgery. My wife I interacted with easily a dozen staff from reception to anesthesiologists to surgeons to recovery personnel. All were engaging and knowledgeable. A surprisingly good day. Whit Morrill

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HOSPITAL. They laugh and joke while you are in pain and need help. Some nurses are nice but they infiltrated my arms 3 times, and some nurses didn’t even check on me overnight.

When I first moved to Baltimore this was my go too hospital no matter what but this experience I had from 1/1/24 until 1/8/24 has been so crazy and just plain right careless on the hospitals fault. I told them I felt sick before trying to discharge me only to have to come right back the next day to find out i contracted covid and the flu and now have taken it home to my entire family including my 5 year old who isn't doing well breathing. This is so crazy and they just dropped the ball.

Make EVERY effort to avoid this hospital! They wouldn’t let me see my daughter during visiting hours because I “looked sleepy”! She arrived in the evening by ambulance, and I spent the entire night sitting next to her bed in the hall while waiting for a room. 5am after speaking with the nurse in charge I was told I could take a 2 hr nap in my car, and return to my daughter. I was assured it would be fine, and nurse noted that I should be called if she were moved. Woke up 3 hrs later to find they had moved her without contacting me. When I asked to see her I was told I could not because she was asleep. Now I spend an hour on phone getting passed around different departments, and hung up on 4 xs just for trying to speak to someone in charge. When I finally speak to nurse in charge I’m told I’m “welcome to return now “ and was refused because “I looked sleepy” ! Dumbfounded I return, i’m directed to her room where I sit on the FLOOR the entire day! Idk if this was intentional for trying to speak to someone in charge or complete lack of empathy by the staff but either way completely unacceptable for a place that’s supposed to take care of people. I feel my experience deserves a negative 3 stars.. obviously never returning !

i don’t even write reviews but this has got to be one of the worst hospitals. My mom was barley receiving medical attention after passing out and turns out she had internal bleeding in her head the whole time. The nurses are literally awful and gave my mom an attitude while she could barley even function 😐. Don’t ever come here for an emergency or even in general. And don’t tell me to contact ur customer service line when all of you are useless.

I was pleased with admission staff; she recognized my distress and admitted me although I forgot my ID. Was triaged and admitted to ER where nurse Nancy made sure I was comfortable with support to my condition followed by nurse Stacy Ann who was very attentive and supportive; she stayed with me until I was admitted upstairs. Nurse Diana was helpful; she listened; not just heard me. She addressed my questions, made right any concerns I had and took my concerns to the attending physician. I left feeling better thanks to them.

I was well taken care of at Northwest Hospital. From the reception through the checks, admission, feedback from the PROVIDER, Nurses, Tech, were excellent. I am naturally scared of lying on Hospital beds but at Northwest Hospital, it was different. I was comfortable. The meals were excellent.

i recently had a total knee replacement at Northwest Hospital. Everyone from the doctors, the anesthesiologist, the nurses, the PT and OT staff were outstanding. They were polite and considerate and very attentive. I had never been to Northwest before, so this was my first experience, and I must say it was definitely a positive one.

The only reason they received a 1 is because there was no zero. This place is horrible. At patients come for care and sit in a chair for 24 hours and never given anything to eat, was took they needed to be transferred to another hospital and sat there for over 12 hours to be taken, and after the family called the care nurse hung up on them. Please avoid this place it is the worst.
