The front desk staff/office manager are the rudest people I have dealt with -which is unfortunate because the doctors are great, but seeing as though your first impression/encounter are with the front desk I can imagine they lose a lot of potential patients/business. On one incident, my daughter didn't have a mask (visit was back in the winter of 2023) so I asked for one at the front desk -was told (in a very disrespectful/annoyed tone) that they will provide one this time, but next time we would have to bring our own (while there was a huge box sitting on the desk obviously for incoming patients). I said excuse me but if you are still requiring masks (3 yrs after COVID) then I think you should at least offer them w/out seeing that this is a medical building, and not to mention I'm sure I'll end up paying for the cost of the mask within my bill. She got up with my bank card in hand, walked away mumbling "I'm not dealing with this. Waited about 15 minutes for someone else to come finish my check-in. Today I called to cancel the sick appt. I had scheduled for my daughter at 8AM because she seems to be feeling better and mostly because I haven't been abe to find anyone to pick up my other children from school this afternoon. I was told (in a rude/annoyed tone) that I would be charged for a missed appointment. I asked why since I was calling within an 1 hour of the appt. time, and why would I be charged for an appt. I made the same day. I could understand if it was an appt. that had been in the books for months. I was told because they can't fill the spot within an hour -clearly it's all about money. If I couldn't get an appt. until a hour of closing time then I am sure they have plenty of people willing to fill the spot within a couple hours notice. Told her nevermind we are coming because I'm not paying The Pediatric Center to only be rude to me & not actually provide any service. We are not going to show (because I can't physically be in 2 places at the same time) but I didn't tell them that because if I'm going to be charged $30 for a same day sick appt. "cancellation" fee , then they will not make money off of me and then turn around and make even more money from another patient that I know they could have filled my appt. time with.

The office staff is very irresponsible and rude. Filled the medical records transfer form online like they wanted and the lady called me to make sure I wanted all the pages since it's 70 cents per page. I agreed to pay whatever they had for all the pages and records. She said it will be ready for pick up in 3 to 5 business days. 10 days went by and noone calls back. I called to see if they were ready and the lady said she don't have the request to have the records printed. I was very upset. She suggested to submit the form again. I did on a Monday. The lady never gave me a call AGAIN. I called the following Monday to see if they were ready and they said it's been ready since last Wednesday. So irresponsible.. we were in the area on Thursday, we would have picked it up. Avoid this office if you can. Even before the transfer, we were seeing the doctors and my child was sick for 2.5 yrs we have seen the doctor there, we have waited almost one hour in the patient room before we actually see the doctor. They are very punctual in sending bills again and again but if you need them for something else, they will never call!

Overall, our experience with Dr. Burke was great. However, the office staff was often rude. We can no longer visit the office due to a change in insurance. The Pediatric Center office charges 70 cents a page plus postage to have my kids' medical records sent along to their new physician. You would think after all of the money they've made off me over the past 15 years...

It’s close to home and Doctor is friendly and welcoming. Had terrible phone experiences with the receptionist and nurses. Nurse called me to schedule a lab work and told me to stop by anytime, no appointment necessary. So I told her I will bring the baby next business day at noon- to which she told me the lab technician will be on lunch break. We agreed on 1pm, yet, the lab technician was on lunch break when we went. Spent 45 minutes waiting and left very disappointed. The disconnect was between the nurse and the lab technician. Obviously there was no communication. Not looking forward to return to the place.

Surprised to see recent negative reviews on here. I have 2 little boys who go here and we've had nothing but positive experiences. Nursing staff over the phone and in person are wonderful, front desk is great, and we've never had a problem getting a same day appt. We usually see Dr. Silber (she's amazing!) but we've seen most of the doctors and NPs and everyone is kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I don’t often write reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience with Dr. Silber. She is the most thorough, compassionate, professional and amazing doctor we’ve ever had and we’ve had ALOT of pediatricians as we are an military family who moves quite often. She actually listens to your concerns and discusses them with you as if they were her own. I would highly recommend her! The office staff has never been rude to me as some reviewers have mentioned and I never have to wait more than 45 minutes for a nurse to call back.

Hard to reach anyone. Long waits to see doctor at your appointment. about 30-45 minutes. We have been going for over 3 years because it was close to our home, but only for wellness or routine. They are over booked and as a parent you feel left on your own when your child is sick. Take hours if your sick. Luckily my child have been healthy so we only have routine visits. Dislike the pediatric center so much. The nurses aren’t they friendly and the doctors are over booked.

When my son was a newborn, I decided to take him to the Pediatric Center because it was very convenient for me. Also, HCGH NICU was familiar with the practice and recommended that I take my son there for his first pediatric visit. The first couple of visits were fine. Dr. Silber was seemingly pleasant, and she presented good bedside manners. However, the last two visits were questionable. I took my son in for a sick child visit because he was having issues with reflux. We were scheduled to see another Doctor because his normal pedestrian wasn't available that day. Well, this new Doctor made an interesting entrance when she walked in the room.... she was extremely LOUD which startled my baby (side eye) and he started crying. As a professional she should've known that ridiculous entrance would startle a baby. The second flag was when I took him to his 2-month visit. The nurse that took my son's weight and vitals did not bother to change the paper that covers the exam table after he urinated on it (I had to remove his diaper to take his weight). She quicky rushed out the room saying, "Oh I'll change it after the Doctor finishes the exam". I was not pleased but held my composure. The Doctor ended up changing the paper on the table before she began the exam. I feel like we were treated this way because we are specific hue. Needless to say, after those two experiences, I transferred my son to a different Pediatric facility.

Definitely agree with the reviews on here with the front staff and or nurses you have to deal with when you call for an appointment. The staff is rude and rush you when you are trying to be thorough to explain why your child is sick/symptoms. I was cut off during my explaination rudely by the nurse/front desk ( dont remember her name) Most of the Drs are great just be aware that front desk and nurses can be a turn off. Its been 4 years going to this place and I still remember how rude my 1st visit was. i just gave birth. New mom dealing with PPA & PPD. Nurses didnt have compassion or kindness that day we took my daughter there for her checkup after the hospital, glad i stuck it out since Dr McEwan is great!

I’d leave zero stars. The front desk staff professional etiquette is abysmal. They are completely inflexible and lack the warmth and understanding that I usually find in abundance with child-centered facilities. The actual nurses were okay but the dr was unresponsive and vague. Lots of suggestions but no actual plan or direction. The final straw was the difficulty of scheduling a blood draw with the barely available LabCorp who then proceeded to bruise and traumatize my kid. Leaving this practice was the best decision I made and I regret not leaving sooner.

I just called this center to ask about getting started as a new patient. The person who answered the phone was very rude and dismisive of my questions. No thank you.

Amazing. Very organized and neat. Our daughter’s one year visit was here (1st time in the office last we just moved here). The nurses were very nice. Our doctor was amazing. She built a very good and quick rapport with us and our daughter loved her. She kept laughing with the doctor. The doctor explained every step and why it was done. She listened to all our questions and never made us feel like we were bothering her or asking silly questions. Dr. Silber. Thank you

I've been taking my children here for three years now and I LOVE this practice! All of the staff is understanding and really tries to make your life easier. Doctor Silber is an amazing pediatrician who really cares about my kids. I highly recommend this office! (Now if only I could find an equally recommendable practice for my own medical care 😩)

I was shocked that the patient room had NO sink for hand washing! The doctor examined my son without sanitizing his hands before. I'm shocked. I'm a doctor myself, and I have never before worked for an institution that did not have a sink/faucet/soap for hand washing before touching patients.

This is the worst doctor office I have never experienced. All they want is money. Any cancellation they charge you even you have never been there before. Does Maryland doctor office always charge for cancellation??!!! That is ridiculous. No humanity only "BUSINESS" per the office manager say. The front desk lady and billing office "MANAGER" are all very rude! Never go to this place!

We have been with this practice since last year. As a physician myself I am pretty concerned with safety of my child getting any treatment or screening here. After a day of calling for sick patient appointment the nurse finally called us back at 4:00 pm said that they didn’t have any appointment available today and they sent all of their patients to urgent care. What kind of physician do that? How on the earth I can’t talk to a human being during work hour and have to leave a VM for someone and hope they call me back!

As others have said, the front deck staff are not all that pleasant to deal with. It’s a shame because the medical staff are great. We love our Dr and NP! The front desk staff really need to be retrained on professional etiquette. They are quite rude, always rushing you through and lack any warmth. If I was the business owner I would pay close attention to this as I’m sure it’s deterred quite a few parents from sticking with the practice.

I called to try and get my daughter in, they said we could not attend due to them not taking Medicaid yet their website says they do.

It’s sad to agree with the reviews because the DR and NP are so kind. The lady who also does the check out in the back is also very nice but the two older ladies in the front they have a way of speaking to people that’s not polite, you even get cut off mid sentence and left talking to yourself and get transfer. Also my biggest complain as of yet other then front desk is the lady at labcorp she withdraw blood from my son and couldn’t find the vein I’m not expert but I have done phlebotomy and poor baby was torture his arm was left completely swollen and purple it to mention she used a way bigger needle for his age group. That I’m highly upset about because 4 days bladder his arm is so bruised up. I Try doing everything online to keep away from talking to the front desk and next time I’m doing lab work somewhere else . Other than that the doctors and NP are AMAZING ! I don’t think they get praised enough thanks to the staff they have but they are amazing at what they do.

Where is the Zero star button? The front desk doesn't know what the etiquette is.

😠 If I could give a negative star, I would! I took my son here because he didn’t sound right, lost his voice, was belly breathing, and had a barky cough. The doctor told me it was virus and refused to give him a steroid or anything and said “he didn’t need medicine at this time.” I pushed back because...
