This is an excellent Kaiser center, although most Kaiser centers seem to be good as well. There is a well planned layout for parking, drop off, and entrance, and there is a staff desk to greet all visitors immediately upon entrance, which is very helpful if it is my first time for a new service (such as laboratory tests). The pharmacy is located just inside the front door, and the wait line and service system is very organized, and the staff are very knowledgeable and attentive. The pharmacy also has a great selections of over-the-counter generic drugs. The vision center is particularly nice, with a great staff of opticians and optometrists. The eyeglass frame selection is robust, very inexpensive to trendy designer frames.

Dr. Liang and staff are extremely professional. She is very caring, thorough and knowledgeable. I felt like she provided me adequate time to ask all the questions I had regarding my health and provided me a safe space where I felt fully heard. Thank you Dr. Liang for your wonderfully warm demeanor.

Crystal in vision is EXCELLENT! Such wonderful bedside manner. My daughter was treated kindly, with such professionalism. All instructions were explained clearly and fully so that she could understand. Thank you for providing outstanding care. Kaiser Permanente, Kensington is lucky to have you!

The did an amazing job! people were friendly! it was also morning! Lol but overall they made me feel comfortable until I had to order my glasses. I have been a patient of Dr. Chatlin’s for more than 20 years. He is very thorough and detailed oriented. He has excellent bedside manners and ensures that you understand the diagnosis and best treatment plan. His clinical assistant, Q, is very kind and responsive to patients as well. Charles, the cast technician, is highly skilled I know I will get excellent care from this team.

I had a wonderful appointment today at Kensington Kaiser’s GYN Department. The team is nice, friendly, and efficient. My Doctor (Dr.Turner) is excellent! She is Very Knowledgeable, Kind and Caring. My Doctors are one of the main reason I stay with Kaiser! L. Hinnant Member

If you’re looking for an insurance company RUN do not walk AWAY from Kaiser. It is the WORST company to ever exist. I have not had one single pleasant or non-stressful experience with any factor of this company. The doctors fearmonger and manipulate and are cold. I strongly recommend that you choose any other company.

I previously reviewed this Kaiser about the door in Pediatrics. Within a week of my review they fixed the door and it doesn’t slam anymore. You can barely hear the click when it shuts. Amazing. My baby now sleeps like a baby in the waiting room. Thank you for the prompt response. OLD: We took our infant there last week for his 1 month check. The staff and Doctors are great but in the pediatrics waiting room there’s a door that slams so loud it would constantly wake and disturb our child. To the point we couldn’t get him to stop crying. We’ve been there numerous times before with our older son and the door was the same. Slams shut loudly. This door has been an issues for a couple years now. We’ve made comments about it before and still the same. That’s the main problem I’ve experienced with their pediatrics dept. Of all the departments there you’d think they’d be on top of something like that there, with babies in the room.

Appt. was with Pain Management dept. Had to go to a different dept. to check in, which always aggravates me, but it's Thanksgiving week, so probably low on staffing. I didn't wait long before being called back. The procedure room was neat, clean & comfortable. Much more so than the Gaithersburg office. The nurse & x-ray tech were fabulous...so very friendly, helpful, kind & happy. Dr. Lin, of course, was great, as always! (I mean, I wouldn't have made the appt with him if I didn't like him!)

I used to love Kaiser, but the past 18 months or so have me seriously questioning whether to re-up with them this open enrollment period. I love my doctors, truly. But the Kaiser support infrastructure has deteriorated so badly as to be almost useless. Varying parts of the online app that they tout are often down, and when you go to schedule an appointment, even a physical several months out, no appointments show as available - for kids or adults. When I call for an appointment, wait times are often a month or more. How is an appointment 30+ days from now helpful at all for my immediate symptoms? If you decide you are sick enough for an urgent care visit, expect to wait 4-5 hours at the Gaithersburg location. It's truly awful. Kaiser costs too much to provide such abysmal service. One can only hope that their recent concessions to striking workers - who live with these conditions daily - result in sufficient staff up to return Kaiser to what it once was - a quality healthcare provider.

This nurse exemplifies the qualities that define not only a good nurse but a great one. From the moment I met them, it was clear that she possessed an exceptional depth of knowledge. I recently had an opportunity to request files from Medical Records at Keiser Permanente at their Kennsington Medical facility. Despite the fact that tge medical records I was requesting were over 30 years old and Kaiser main medical records facility could not reproduce them for me. The very friendly and knowledgeable staff at the medical recods department at Kennsington Kaiser Permanente diligently work on them and were able to find and reproduce them all. In the future they will be my go to first stop if in need of any medical records.

The visit is great. The mobile sign in option makes it easy to start the visit. Short wait and very detail explanation from physician.

I brought my aunt to KP in Kensington for a post surgery appointment. The orthopedic department staff treated my aunt with kindness and respect. Then we needed to go to the members department and Ms. Hilda Beltre kindly gave us the directions to the department. We then met with Ms. Melanie Holland who open her office door and graciously and patiently heard our case. Overall our meeting went heavenly perfect. Thanks to God for this day and KP at Kensington, MD.

The pediatrician office have amazing Staff that makes you feel most welcome. Even if they are running late, they still find ways to accommodate you to get you ready for your appointment. Awesome with babies. I trust them with my baby. Absolutely love it here. Only downfall it’s can get crowded in the parking lot And facility. ESPECIALLY THE LABORATORY

I was wowed from the time I walked in my Clinical assistant Q was very knowledgeable about any and all things podiatry, it was like seeing a distant family member she was so welcoming! She made this visit and everyone encounter previous to it so pleasant! And Dr. Chatlin was super cool, gave awesome instructions and even better care! Mr. Charles so attentive to whether my cast was on correctly and he cleaned my leg and foot with such care after removing my cast! Excellent team, and excellent environment! Bed side manner was above and beyond! Thank you all so very much!!!

Just has another awesome experience at Kensington Pharmacy. All the Pharmacists are always kind helpful and proficient. Today I was told I would have a 15 min wait. It was ready in 5 minutes.😁 That wasn't my first experience like that. I highly recommend Kaiser Kensington Pharmacy!

I started with Kaiser when I retired with Medicare advantage. I am 67 yrs. old & in all the years I was in the private sector I never received the kind of care I have received from Kaiser. Not only have I received top notch care but communicating with all my doctors or advice nurses is no longer a hassle & a wait game. Would you believe I get responses within the hour depending on the problem. I discovered I had Stage 1 Lung Cancer 3/2023 after my primary Dr. heard something funny when listening to my chest. The cancer was confirmed 5/23 after CT scans, pet scan, lung biopsy, bronchoscopy & MRI to try and confirm if a small nodule was cancerous. On 9/5/23 I went into to surgery and within 4-5 hrs. my cancer was eradicated. I was in the best recovery room I've ever seen at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD for 1 full day, cared for by angels that bathed me in tender loving care. Teamwork is a beautiful thing. I had a bad experience when I was moved to the regular floor. Only 1 of the 3 nurses was kind & thank God for the 2 helpers, I couldn't have made it without them. It was as if two of the nurses hadn't read my chart, not letting me out of bed unassisted, forgetting to turn much needed machines, etc. When my surgeon came to see me I think he realized the situation. He checked my vitals, had me walk the circumference of the unit, had my oxygen level checked and signed my discharge order. I do understand there is a shortage of nurses, because of the pandemic we lost a lot of lives and nurses got burned out. The hospital has to spread them thin & can't be to choosy when care is needed, but some of the great ones are still working. I believe I would have died if I had been on a regular floor & not in recovery with some of the best.

Dr Chatlin and his Nurse Q are absolutely amazing. They both responded to emails and phone calls within 30 minutes. There was never a wait time with this team. If my child needed to be seen they accepted him almost the same day. I recommend this office to ANYONE!! If they could be my primary pediatric team i would gladly accept them!!!

Dr. Debose is a wonderful doctor, my daughter had an appointment for her at 4:30 today and she was so nice. She cares for my daughter so much and is so genuine with her work. She takes her time and speaks to her as if it’s her own child, I can really see the caring mother she is. My daughter is so happy to have her as her doctor.

I am delighted with the quality of the services & the care I received at my physical Therapy appt today. It was outstanding & my mobility, range of motion, & freedom from pain has significantly improved since my last appt. My therapist, Ms Danields-Holden is excellent, caring , & personable. I highly recommend her!

This goes for the mommy’s. My experience with ultrasound department was extremely awful. I had my 20 week ultrasound today. The first lady was fine. But the second lady that went in was very rude, and arrogant. But thats the least she was so rough that the level of pain she was causing me was just crazy. She literally stood up to apply more strength into my lover belly. She was forcefully trying to get the baby to move. Never cared about me. She better pray my baby is okay. Because im still in a lot of pain.

I saw Dr. Morton today in the Kensington KP ENT office. I had some concerns regarding changes to my vocal cords. He was very soft spoken and he listen to all of my concerns and address them appropriately. The front desk staff was very courteous and welcoming.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Dr. Sahra Hossainzadha at Kaiser Permanente Kensington. She is a highly qualified and experienced doctor who is exceptional with patients, she clearly cares about them. She addressed my issues regarding my heart health and provided me with sound and practical advice. She covered various services such as screening, follow up after emergency department visit, costochondritis, GERD, etc. She conducted a comprehensive physical examination and ordered the follow up tests to assess my condition. She was very thorough and attentive to my needs and concerns. Dr. Sahra Hossainzadha is one of the most effective communicators I have come across as a doctor anywhere in the world. She informed me of everything in a clear and concise manner. She demonstrated a high level of professionalism and respect throughout the consultation. Her staff was also very efficient and wonderful. They assisted me with the paperwork and scheduling and pre-visit check up. I was very satisfied with the quality of care I received from Dr. Hossainzadha and her team. It is a total shame and a disgrace. This location used to be probably the best in the DC area, where I had all my medical and surgical care all over the years. The teams, physicians and nurses, are incredibly good, but the way this facility is going is totally wrong. Came on Sunday after checking on Google, saying that urgent care was open 9 to 9, found out everything closed. Came back this morning, with an infection, 39.5 degree fever, and no urgent care. So, had to wait for a Dr to take me in between, partial tests were negative, so nobody cares to investigate further the reason of the fever and the lymph nods swollen in the groin. Had to leave with my infection going on to come to lie down. I am changing KP for blue cross blue shield, where I was before, with a physician in my street. I am lucky it is the period of time to change. If the facility is not doing is job anymore, what is the point anyway ? Will never recommend to anyone, no need to say

Dr. Magnolias Jr. answered all of my eye questions during my appointment. He put my mind at ease and looked at some of the products I was using and gave me further information on them. He is excellent!

Dr. Andrews is a phenomenal doctor; his bedside manner is outstanding; he is genuinely concerned about your pain; he listens to you and explain everything that he is going to do. There are a few doctors that I see at Kaiser who are as great as Dr. Andrews is in rendering service. Please keep him here at Kensington and Gaithersburg. If you need further clarification about how great he is with patients, please let me know because I referred my friend to him and they feel the same way I do about him. I have been extremely frustrated with my heel pain and went to Kaiser Kensington to See Dr.Steven Chatlin. I wish I came to see him earlier! Q my nurse was super amazing and totally put me at ease. She was simply put ,spuerb and Dr.Chatlin resolved 4 months of agony in less than 5 minutes!

Dr. Chatlin examined my healing foot expertly, answered all my questions, and searched online with me to find a support option that best suited the stage of my recovery. Before the appointment, Dr. Chatlin had reviewed the information and foot photos I’d sent via KP messaging. During the appointment, he listened carefully, gave me ample time to explain things and provided excellent recommendations. After the appointment, I know I can contact him if any issues arise. Albeit late, I have been wanting to give a 5 star rating to Dr Aretha Makia. During my March 2022 appointment she was not just good, or great… she was exceptional. Dr Makia, was not only professional and personable, but knew that I was nervous and uncomfortable, so she distracted me, comforted me and left me with my dignity. I have always found Kaisers team to be on point, however Dr Makia is above board. I hope that Kaiser realizes the gem they have in her. To Dr Makia…. Thank you! 🙏🏾

Heads up to prenatal momma!!! Very unprofessional staff in Ultrasound department (Staff who did ultrasound). Manager was good in terms of listening and professionalism. I hope the manager takes pertinent steps to address this situation. The staff who did the ultrasound of prenatal patient was rude, not listening, not explaining things well, ZERO CULTURAL COMPETANCY, nodding head!, and unprofessional. I really wish that staff receive education and training on customer service and cultural competency. That staff did ultrasound of prenatal patient on 10/19/2022, patient who had appointment at 0830 (Prenatal Ultrasound). I my self is the health care and understand the time strain and pressure of health care worker, but I must address this particular incidence where the staff has been insensitive specially to the vulnerable patient population/Prenatal. I have been Kaiser memeber for such a long time. Thank you.

My OB, Dr. Liang, is the best. She is very nice, listens to all my concerns, and has put me at ease through a difficult pregnancy. Her medical assistant is also very kind. Appreciate their positive energy and expertise.

This review is for the KP Kensington pharmacy. Today was my first visit to the Connecticut Ave medical office building and pharmacy. As a longtime Kaiser member in two other regions, I'm happy to report that the Mid-Atlantic region's Kensington pharmacy staff surpassed my expectations. They embodied kindness and patience even on this, especially busy day. Despite the large number of members in the pharmacy, I didn't wait long before I was invited to speak to a staff member. The fellow who assisted me was friendly, quickly found my order, and got me back on my way in a jiffy! The facility is easy to find, has ample parking, and, like all KP MOBs I've been to, is well laid out. Thanks, KP Mid-Atlantic!

Hilda has proven time and time again that she takes her job very seriously. Coming to a doctors appointment can often be very stressful, but her warm and professional demeanor makes my experiences tolerable and actually enjoyable. She’s a great person. I look forward to seeing her each time I come.
