I called in weeks ago trying to schedule an appointment, the woman I spoke with had an attitude and told me to call back when I was further along. I then called a few weeks later and the woman told be they were booked until January. She then proceeded to give me another officeā€™s phone number that was CLOSED. Why couldnā€™t I have gotten scheduled when I initially called for weeks in advance?? And why are they so rude and uninformative. YOU set your alarm clock up to get up and go to that job. Donā€™t be mad at me.

Absolute worse experience I have had in healthcare. I would never recommend this facility to anyone seeking competent care. I have been a registered nurse for the past 10 years, but by no stretch of the imagination have I had any experiences in Obstetrics. I moved to Laurel from Washington DC about 2 years ago and came across this clinic then after reviewing some fair ratings in addition. to the fact that it was in close proximity to my new home. After my husband and I became pregnant it made sense to me to continue my care at the same facility where I had received my yearly well-woman checkups. I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and had been receiving care at this establishment since I was 6 weeks pregnant. I have a history of fibroids, however no other past medical history in addition to receiving a myomectomy with Dr. Ein sometime in 2019. I began to see Dr. Norman and Dr. Coates for my prenatal care. I never received detailed prenatal education, and I never was informed as to how fibroids were effected during pregnancy. Again, I trusted Dr. Norman and Dr. Coates, and I believed that they would provide me with the best information possible. I felt even safer with Dr. Coates because she was a black woman and by default I gave her the benefit of any doubt. When I was 16 weeks after leaving work I drove myself to the emergency room where I met my husband. I was in the worse pain I had ever experienced in my life. I contacted Dr. Norman who was on call that weekend who advised me to visit the emergency room for evaluation. Once there I received an ultrasound that revealed that the fibroid at the base of my uterus that was once much less than 5cm was now 7.3cm and likely degenerating causing extreme pain. I was told to follow up with Dr. Norman within a day. I did so. I was irate. Why had they not been monitoring the growth of my fibroids throughout the course of my pregnancy? Why had they not warned me that this was a possibility? Why as a healthcare professional did I feel the most vulnerable in a field that Ive worked for the last 10 years? I visited Dr. Norman the following Tuesday. I sat in his office communicating my concerns. Seeing the frustration on my face he rushed to look at records that obviously were not reviewed prior to my line of questioning. I demanded to be referred to a high risk doctor. Dr. Norman stated that he would even though "they're going to tell you the same things I've told you". Dr. Norman wasn't buying the degenerating fibroid theory even though all the stars were aligning. I had severe pain, a 7cm fibroid at the base of my uterus, and if he possessed any level of care he would have also noted that my hemoglobin was now 8.7 on the emergency room report, prior blood work taken from his facility was 11.8. Dr. Norman played doctor, took out his portable doppler, placed it to my abdomen to listen for a heart beat. This was the extent of his assessment. Disgusting in retrospect. I followed up at Georgetown with a high risk doctor. Godsent. I was in awe of the staff. From the front desk clerks to the ultrasound tech to the physician. Everyone was warm, welcoming and attention detailed. I was examined and was found to actually have a 10cm fibroid at the base of my uterus and was quickly diagnosed with degenerating fibroids after clear view on ultrasound. I feel as if Im in good hands. My doctor even called me over the weekend to ensure that I was doing well and to let me know that he was attempting to get me in for my second appointment even sooner. I am extremely happy that things unraveled when they did and I had the opportunity and foresight to seek care elsewhere. Even when I communicated the pain I was having Dr. Norman stated that my pain was probably round ligament pain with no further investigation. My recommendation, if you have any preexisting issues, please do not waste your time at this clinic. Take your health and the health of your little one into your own hands and find the best doctors to provide you with the best care. -Safe Delivery Beloveds.

Capital women health care is good place for prenatal care. But I personally believe that all the doctors at this place are horrible, zero professionalism and zero listening skills. They donā€™t care about the patients health history and chief complaints. They look in rushā€¦ you did not complete your concerns and they rush. Hardly give me 2 minutes for my prenatal visit. They are totally greedy. BUT I JUST WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE ONE THING THAT Kelli Harkles, CNM, is the best midwife. I literally love the way she works. She documented each and everything. She goes in details to see if something going wrong. She see my skin texture, tone and ask me about each and everything. She cares about you beyond the limits. I love her work style, professionalism, her hardworking. SHE IS BEST THAN DOCTORS. I am more comfortable and more confident with her. Thank you so much MS KELLIE HARKLESS.

Please donā€™t waste your time with this practice. I called the number I found online to book a new patient appointment so I can talk to the doctor about my concerns(This was August 20th). Scheduled my appointment for September 7th 9am . I get a call about 3 days after I scheduled the appointment (August 23rd)stating that the doctor wonā€™t be available at my scheduled time and if I could come later in the day. After shifting more of my plans around to accommodate my appointment time I receive a text today (August 28th) that my entire appointment has been cancelled and to reschedule. Iā€™ll be taking my business elsewhere because this practice doesnā€™t care about their patients

Iā€™m writing this review with the utmost concern for the well-being of current patients and onlooking patients. Women - PLEASE request your medical records from these people! After the consistent push and coercion from one of their Nurse Practitioners about hormonal birth control (which I stated I didnā€™t want) I was prescribed synthetic hormones that I told the doctor I wasnā€™t comfortable taking and she told me I needed them. Then, I had my regular PAP. Nobody ever called me and alerted me of any test results. I finally created an account in the portal only to find that there was no paperwork uploaded. I finally requested a report of my visit only to find that the NP falsified my ā€œcomplaintsā€ in the report to justify charging the insurance company for things they did not do. She falsely ā€œdiagnosedā€ me with a condition in my paperwork that she never Discussed with me when I was in the office. I only found this information out today by requesting these records and Iā€™ll be reporting this practice as well as the Nurse Practitioner for insurance fraud. Women, please protect your peace and your health and donā€™t waste your time here.

I called to schedule a prenatal appointment, and was greeted by Linda. She was extremely rude and condescending in her tone of voice which I didnā€™t appreciate. As a first time patient at this establishment, I donā€™t have a good first impression if these are the type of people you have working for you.

Yesterday was my first Pap smear and boy was I NERVOUS! The front office staff were amazing and I worked with Sheila for my pap, and she was the best. She made me feel very comfortable, super knowledgeable, and overall made me laugh so much to the point weā€™re any nerves I had vanished. Truly a pleasant experience at the office. Sheila is for sure doing her passion because she truly radiates it. Thank you so much for giving me such a positive experience during my check up yesterday.

We had a first time visit for my teenager with Sheila Bennett. She made her feel soooo comfortable. She was very thorough and made us feel like we were her only client of the day. Capital Women's Care is awesome.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Coates as I have chosen her as my new Gynecologist. Dr Coates is Board Certified and a fantastic, thorough physician. I would highly recommend the practice and specifically, Dr. Coates. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Love love love Dr. Munson - everything else about CWC Laurel has gone downhill fast. Went in for a Wellwoman visit and was later hit with a bill because I asked a question (which she did not answer - just threw a pamphlet at me, ordered blood work, and told me to schedule a followup, which I later canceled). When I called to inquire about the bill, I was on hold as they transfered me to the Laurel office. Of course there was no answer and once the call went through, someone immediately hung up. The Laurel office (minus Dr. Munson) is trash - unprofessional, and the doctors are rude, unprofessional and will rush the appointment. I've been going for years and definitely see the decline in care they provide. Not recommended.

I had called to make an appt and had a couple questions to ask and the receptionist that answered was extremely rude and did not help me at all. It took me awhile to even get a hold of them and for her to be rude and then hang up on my call while I tried to make an appt is infuriating. Communication at this place has been terrible, even getting in contact with them is horrible.

All of the Doctors are great except for Dr. Roy Khoury, MD. Never schedule a surgery with him. He will mess up and try to cover it up. He is a liar and a cowered.

They called me said I need to go this location on the certain time. I drove 50 mins. Then they said sorry you canā€™t talk to the doctor. They forced me to have FaceTime with the doctor. But why? Dr. Is inside of the room!!!!!!!!!!!!!The system has something wrong! Not flexible, benefits oriented!!!
