😠 I've been going to the Glenn dale office for awhile, but their billing department has made me no longer want to be a patient of this facility anymore. They continuously have charged me one amount for my copay at their office and a month later stated that I owe more money. When I called their office... People often mention office, results, staff, doctor, visit, care, appointment, practice, told, patient,

Update a year later. Callbacks and office staff have gotten better. Doctors are still high quality but this place seems like it's close to shutting down when I go there now. Which is sad, because the concept is great. On hold for 45 minutes. Hung up on. This has been a constant problem over the two years I have taken my mother here. This isn't Best Buy this is a doctors office. Your office staff treat their job like it's retail very often. It's really a shame because the women who run this place are amazing. The doctors are caring and I've seen them take on some pretty angry and racist people in their waiting room with tact and professionalism. However, the entire establishment is ruined when you can't even make an appointment without dealing with the ridiculousness of the front desk. This office needs to deal with its staff.

They continuously have charged me one amount for my copay at their office and a month later stated that I owe more money. When I called their office they stated that they messed up on their end with my copay in the system and that they wanted me to back pay their mess up. Now I have no problem paying the change for future appointments but I'm not back paying multiple payments that their office messed up, also when you do televisits with their office they will claim you never paid for the visit even though the money has been pulled out of your account for the visit. The doctors are great but who want's to go through all this stress of the office messing up payments. I no longer think I will be going to this doctor's office after this terrible experience

I had a very unpleasant experience with this office. After scheduling an appointment weeks in advance, I was told my appointment had been cancelled although nobody from the office contacted me. The physician, Dr. Maraj, came out and said it must be a mistake and she would see me. I waited an hour to be taken back. My vitals were checked and I waited another 50 minutes before deciding to leave. On the way out, I informed the receptionist that I was leaving because waiting 2 hours without being seen is ridiculous. She asked if I wanted to reschedule. She didn’t contact the physician or her own manager. This office clearly is unorganized and the staff doesn’t care about accommodating patients. It truly is a shame because the office is beautiful and the diversity of the staff is great, but customer service is terrible.

Like other reviews have said, DO NOT COME HERE. I was only here for Dr. Maragh but she left the practice earlier this year. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be seen by an actual doctor here. I was seen by Celeste Upshaw. My blood work was done a week ago, and I received an email directly from LabCorp stating my results have been sent to my doctor. I had not received a call so I call to get my results. The lady that answered the phone today in the afternoon was extremely rude and montone. She clearly did not care at all and was consistently going “ughhh”. I was told that Celeste hasn’t “had time” and is “too busy” to review my results so it’s just sitting in her “box”. I asked why an actual doctor can’t review my results or someone else from the practice. She said “well yeah...but like I said we’re busy”. I was also told I needed to schedule yet another visit to receive my results which is ridiculous. What’s the point of posting signs in the office stating results will be posted in the patient portal? Dr. Maragh, and ANY other doctor for any other specialty I have gone to has always posted my results in the portal if available, or called me directly or had a nurse call me as soon as they received results. To make matters worse, I was told I needed to wait until Tuesday to get my results after scheduling a visit, when LabCorp is posting my results in my account TOMORROW. I refused to schedule a visit to simply be told everything’s fine, or xyz isn’t fine, come back for a follow up. I will be getting my test results from LabCorp because this “doctor” is too busy to look at my results. Asking for the office to do what they themselves has posted everywhere in the office is not asking for too much. The front desk staff has always been rude, but Dr. Maragh was the only reason I put up with the attitude. Now that she’s gone, I tried finding a different doctor but due to COVID, no one is taking new patients so I decided to do a simple physical here. Big mistake. Do not come here. You deserve to have a primary care doctor that puts your health first.

Very disappointing experience - intake was promising, but I could have Googled their diagnosis and recommendations myself. A waste of time, unless you are looking for basic advice, followed by specialist referrals. When I called to raise my concerns, found they had no record of my visit, exam follow ups, or even offered an apology - zero care here!

UPDATE 2/1/22: Was sent a letter certified mail letting me go as a patient as a result of this review. Wow. Very saddened at this retailation rather than fixing the problem. Receptionists don’t answer the phone anymore. I’ve been there for years and while the pandemic has made this worse, this has been a problem for a couple of years. Again, this has been a problem since well before the pandemic. Great doctors and nurses…if you can ever access them.

My providers at the Silver Spring office, Sloan and Jennifer, were amazing. They are why I gave 2 stars and not one. One of the owners saw me at the Glendale location and she was very rude. And overall, the office management is terrible at the Silver Spring office! I can barely get anyone on the phone to make an appointment. it rings 12 times before someone answers, if they do at all. They want you to use the portal and it doesn’t work. I’ve been a patient of theirs for more than 3 years, but I am now looking for a new office. Save yourselves the frustration, don’t make an appointment here.

Needed to get a prescription refilled 3 months ago. Because my provider was no longer there, I needed to schedule a telehealth visit. I was due for a physical, but they were not actually seeing patients due to COVID19. My telehealth visit consisted of being asked what I needed (a prescription refill) and that was it. No attempt to get to know me or my medical needs, her new patient. (Then I received a $400 bill. Never got a return call from the billing "office" when I left a message asking about it). Now, 3 months later I try to get my prescription from the pharmacy only to find it that it was only written for 3 months. I was not informed of that during my 5 minute telehealth visit. My options now were to schedule another telehealth visit, which i refuse to do just to ask for another refill. Seems like an attempt to recoup money they lost since they were not seeing patients due to COVID19. I can come in for a physical, but they can't get me in until mid-October. I would like to go in for a physical, but won't extend my prescription until they can see me, so I will be moving on since my medical care needs cannot be met here.

Lovely front desk staff, but terrible standard of care elsewhere. I saw a provider for approximately 3 minutes and all concerns I mentioned were quickly dismissed. Super disappointing.

Worst experience ever. All they seem to care more about is charging you copays for every service at every single visit; whether it's an in-person or tele -visit. Meanwhile the staff is very rude and don't seem to know what they are doing or could care less. Save yourself the trouble and RUN!

I love this practice. When I moved to MD I couldn’t find a PCP where I felt comfortable until I had my first appointment with Sloan Ford. She’s awesome! The office staff and providers are all so friendly and welcoming. I’m always seen on time for my appointments and am out of the office fairly quickly.

For a practice that specializes or focuses on women's health, the providers need to be trauma informed and provide basic informed consent. I had an EKG here, I had never had one before so I didn't know what to expect and the technician went through the entire procedure without explaining anything, in fact she barely said a word to me. She didn't ask me if I'd had one before or give me any information on what she was doing before during or after. For any procedure where the patient has to undress and expose themselves, even if partially, there is no excuse for the provider to not give warning before they touch you. Walking into a doctors office shouldn't mean that you consent to be poked and prodded without warning. Overall very unprofessional and uncomfortable experience, not sure if I will return.

The reviews and overall 3.0 star average speaks for itself although 3.0 is still a bit too high, in my opinion. Poor communication, they never answer the phone & are extremely unprofessional with the exception of Ms LoraLei(sp) who is the front desk lady. I was told after almost 2 weeks of having my lab results sent to me by labcorp that I hadn't received a call from the doctor because they haven't gotten to it yet due to it being really busy. Imagine going to the Doctor for fainting spells, sitting on your results for 2 weeks & not knowing what could possibly be wrong. I suffer from anxiety so that sent my mental health into a frenzy. Constant worry & fear. The employee proceeded to tell me that if it was something urgent then they would've called already, despite there being abnormal findings from the lab results. I asked several follow up questions that the assistant couldn't answer. She said she'd asked the doctor. More than 2 weeks go by before I receive a follow up, but not to answer my questions. Instead to tell me that the abnormal finding is concerning and that I needed to come in. This is after about a month of my first appointment and 3 failed attempts to reach them in the process. To add insult to injury, I went in for fainting spells and they wrote in my portal that I came in due to feeling fatigued. I'd never recommend this place to anyone I care about. Disappointment after disappointment.

This place is all about money not so much on taking care of the patients, if you don’t have deductible and copay to pay upfront don’t even think about making appointments, I understand copayment are due at time of service but deductibles I understood it was supposed to be after insurance company received and reviewed Your claims specially for physical, well I was wrong 😑 after I was told I couldn’t keep my physical appointment if I didn’t pay for my physical deductible upfront before they even submit it to my insurance. I gave them another chance after a situation I had back in 2018 when I was sick as a dog and they told me I have a deductible which I needed to be pay before they take me back to see the doctor and if I didn’t pay upfront I couldn’t be seeing.

This office was recommended to me from a fb group I'm in, while in my search for a new PCP to fit my needs. I saw Dr. April Walker last week who mentioned to me she is new to the practice she was excellent along with their staff. My experience from the time I called to schedule my appointment I spoke with Ms. Joanne who answered me with a pleasant greeting on the phone the receptionist who checked me in greeted me with a warm hello and smile. The Medical assistant who helped the doctor she was was funny and definitely made my anxiety better she was cheerful and made me feel comfortable before my procedure with the doctor. Dr Walker took her time answered all my questions and didn't make me feel rushed or like I was just "a number" on her patient list for the day she explained things to me thoroughly and her bedside manner was very pleasant assuring and calming. I highly recommend Dr. Walker and glad I found this practice and will be referring others to them too.

Dr. April Walker is extremely professional while being a compassionate physician. She was thorough during my exam and explained everything to me very well. I left feeling that all of my questions were answered. Lovely front desk staff, and Dr. Walker’s nurse was courteous and warm. I highly recommend Dr. Walker and this practice to anyone. Great care and a friendly environment!

I liked the practitioner I saw here at first, but she left. Today I saw someone who was 30 minutes late for the virtual appointment, no acknowledgement or apology, didn't ask me how I felt or show any particular concern that I have Covid and am unable to sleep, and refused to fill my prescriptions. Offered me another prescription that is not indicated for my complaint, and without asking me anything about my history with that medication or possible contraindications. Will be looking for another practice. Seems to be high turnover. Front desk staff are very nice.

I was greeted warmly and professionally. My doctor was Dr. April Walker. She was very thorough during my exam. She really listened to me and talked me through my exam. I could tell she was very knowledgeable and she did'nt discount any of my concerns. I was very pleased.

Clinic staff very poor. they had me waiting in the room for over an hour as they forgot I was in there - when it takes a minute to do the exam. Poor communication as well. They do not pick up the phone as they put you on hold for 30 minutes. They are VERY inconsiderate of your time

From beginning to end of my visit today, everything went well. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, the PA and then the nurse practitioner were knowledgeable and listened to me. And my prescription was called in immediately and ready at my pharmacy by mid afternoon. I’m so glad I found this practice.
