Dr. Vaibhav Rai is a great dentist but due to the callous and negligent behavior of the front desk staff I will no longer be using his services for my dental provider. I scheduled an appointment months ahead of time to meet with Dr. Rai because he is familiar with my dental situation. Upon making the appointment the front desk staff assured me he would be there on the date scheduled. To my surprise when I arrived they tell me he's not there and pretty much say "oh well just see who ever we have" with the shadiest nastiest attitude you would never think would be allowed in a professional setting. And then they tell me if I reschedule for another day they will charge a fee and report it to my insurance company. WOW! I have been using Smile Loft locations for years but after a few minutes with the Laurel locations front staff that's all over! I will be switching dental providers and taking my time and insurance to a friendlier environment who believes in treating people kindly, professionally and not making random appointments just to fill the calendar. Based on my experience with this location I'm convinced that all the positive reviews for them are from employees and BOTS.

I had an excellent experience at Smile Loft Laurel during my recent visit for a cleaning and exam. From the moment I walked in, the front office staff displayed exceptional professionalism. They were courteous, organized, and made the check-in process a breeze. The dental staff, from the hygienist to the doctor, were outstanding. The hygienist was gentle yet thorough during my cleaning, making sure I was comfortable throughout. The dentist provided a comprehensive exam, addressing all my concerns and explaining everything in a clear and understandable manner. I truly felt well-attended to throughout my visit. I highly recommend Smile Loft Laurel for their top-notch professionalism, friendly staff, and quality dental care. It's clear that they prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction. I'll definitely be returning for my future dental needs.

Do NOT support this practice. The office staff turn over is higher than taxes! Every season, there are new faces at the front. There is clearly a lack of professionalism. I wish there was a way to give all the dental hygienist a 5 star because they are literally the only professional, knowledgeable people in this practice. Dr. Rai is not culturally sensitive and very aggressive and condescending. He sees you for 3 minutes max! In and out is their mantra, def not personable! If you're looking for comfort ability, its not at Smile Loft. Just Don't!

*This review received a low rating based off of my experience with the billing system and untimely notifications of balances due.* Beautiful establishment, very clean with decent staff. I enjoyed my time here and planned on continuing to use services even after moving 35 miles away (to support a minority owned business that made my visits comfortable). Their billing system is new but out of date as I had to reach out to them for a refund for overpayment .. only to find that I had a balance from a year ago. I do not recommend using Smile Loft of Laurel as your dental provider unless you aren't afraid of losing money.

I absolutely love smile loft. I am afraid of the Dentist and Dr. Sharma and the ladies he work with are amazing. The office is nice and the staff is Professional. It eased my fear and anxiety. And things I needed done are being completed. Update: 9/20/22 It's like once Dr. Sharma moved to the other office this place became so unprofessional. I had so many plans with him and began the process to straighten my teeth. And 2 visits of me taking off from work because the MD for invisalign is only there on Tuesdays and my time was wasted. Even after me calling multiple times and me speaking with people about my alleged plan. Dr. Reddy didn't see me when I came today. I am so upset because I genuinely have anxiety about the dentist and thought I found my place. Thought I found somewhere I can go and be comfortable. But I hate to say due to the unprofessionalism and inconsiderateness I can't go back.

After waiting 2 months for an appointment I had scheduled I was just told that my appointment wasn’t real (!?) And their next available one is in 2 months That’s 4 months!! Even IF it’s a one-off miscommunication — it is still irresponsible of them to not have capacity to fix their mistakes. They’re overbooking us like airlines do

Do not go to them , I advise is you want good dental care go elsewhere. They are all about money , and if you don’t have it they are going to treat you so poorly. They don’t listen to the patients at all , it’s your body your choice. The dentist lied and said they would schedule an appointment for extraction and then the front desk gives me a referral for an oral surgeon. Because they won’t take teeth out that are able to be saved , No they want you to spend money on bridges and whatever else at their office instead of taking out a broken tooth . These people are HORRIBLE and don’t care about patients and their feelings about their own body . Please do not go there take your business elsewhere.

I have been a client for about 4 years. I picked this location because of a nice area. The staff has been ok, but you often don’t see the same staff with your visit for your oral cleaning/care. Once you schedule one thing or one request, they evaluate you or assets you care then they want to add additional services, since I still have my wisdom teeth, They said I have or need to fill in a cavity…. Do I need to fill in a cavity or I can have my wisdom tooth removed…..and they said on my front lower tooth is touching another tooth, so I have a little closeness on the two teeth….or perhaps removing my wisdom teeth that can be a better fit to say rather than filling…. After I did my oral cleaning they didn’t offer a new toothbrush, mouth wash, floss as well… They have too many new staff each time I visit….I came in for a fill in a 2021, and after the healing duration….I was still having sensitivity, after a month, I had to make an appointment and they had to do a complete new fill it, why due to the lack of skills of her job, neglect task, that turned me off with the lack of “support” with her job and lack of trustworthy……I also had to complete a root canal……the tech support has no social skills, personal body language, and when a client is laying in the chair in a venerable point she was very physical aggressive, pushing, pulling, pushing , pulling and etc on my oral mouth……. I had my last visit in October 2023, I felt like the tech has an unpleasant attitude and was t willing to listen to the client….lastly each time I have my appointment they have to change my time and within less than 24 hours then my next schedule appointment is also a moth or longer, that does effect my own personal availability… my patients has been slim with them. I’ve been coming here about 2 almost 3 years now and This place is very clean and professional. I’ve only had one bad experience with one of the dental hygienist she was super rude. But for the most part all the hygienist are very thorough and do a great job. I have definitely noticed a huge difference in my dental health since coming here. Also one of the secretaries at the front desk (the one with the tattoos) needs to work on her people skills not too friendly.

Dr. Robinson excellent; very thorough and detailed oriented. Great service and very professional staff Dentist and assistants are very detailed oriented. Provided explanations verbally and via video. Make you feel welcomed and well cared for.

Horrible experience. The front desk was okay but my experience in the back was not. Dr. Zoghi was very condescending, cocky and arrogant. He seemed like he wanted more of my money rather than helping my oral health. Good practice, just don’t see Dr. Zoghi.

Very professional! We chose Dr. Rai many years ago, and he is an excellent doctor. Very clean office and parking is easy to find. Amy is one of the best hygienists I have ever met!!

I love this office! They have great doctors and hygenists. The space is clean, and they have massage chairs. I’ve been coming here for years and will continue to come every 6 months for my routine cleaning and check up.

It was a very pleasant experience the hygiene was experienced and professional and explained what was going on I think her name was Ashley I wish she worked the VA dental clinic.

I've been going to Smile Loft forever and have always been pleased with their work. Today I went in for a cavity which ended up needing a root canal. The dentist fit me into his schedule and fixed it for me right away.

Non professional and awful service. I will never come back the office again. I was made an appointment with them 7 month ago and just a week before my appointment , the lady called for me , she changed my appointment for another 2 weeks later. I said ok. Then, again just one day before my appointment she called again which the reason is “they’re not available for that day she will reschedule my appointment until July”. I said I’m done, forget about that. Unfortunately, they canceled customer appointment with the reasons unacceptable.👎

Dr Ariya Zoghi and assistant was outstanding. Bedside manner outstanding, informative while working on my teeth, friendly, professional, great attitude. I am changing Dentist to his Practice. Outstanding for military veterans!!

DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible service. Twice I’ve had appointments scheduled only to get there and be told my product had yet to be delivered. When I asked why I wasn’t called and notified they said they didn’t think about that. Also, I went on my way to the gym and had gym clothes on once and received negative comments about my attire. Very unprofessional. Looking for new dentist.

Terrible Experience! Will Never Return Here. My First Visit Should Have Been My LAST They Had Me Waiting For An Hour Before I Was Seen All Because The Front Desk Staff Forgot To Check Me In. Continued Coming Back Because Who Feels Like Having To Constantly Switch Dentist Offices? Each Time Has Been WORSE Then The Last. FINALLY Decided To Look Elsewhere For Dental Care and Upon Doing So I Was Told I Would Need To Transfer My Information From Smile Loft To My New Office I Spoke To Someone From Smile Loft Over The Phone And Was Told They Would E-mail Release Forms. Never Got Them So I Get To My New Dental Office and Cannot Be Seen Due To My Dentist Calling Them and Being Told I Would Have To Fill Out These Forms In Person! So Not Only Did That Miscommunication On Their End Cause Me A Missed Visit But I Now Had To Travel Across Town To Fill Out A Form That Could Have Easily Been Done Through E-mail Like I Was Originally Told It Would. Don’t Even Waste Your Time, I Certainly Cannot Get Mine Back.

This was my second visit. Not only was the front desk staff very rude they also spoke very loudly about how they felt about me being late to my appointment by 15 minutes. I was called twice within the 15 minutes of me arriving to my appointment late the second call I spoke with one of the women at the front and told her I was 5 minutes away, then as I went to ask her what’s the grace period for late arrivals she hung up on me. Once I finally arrived she immediately stated as I walked through the door I could not be seen, but as I was walking in the door she was calling me. I asked to speak with a manager as the manager sat right behind the women they proceeded to an office closed the fort then the manager decided she wanted to speak to me. She put her hand up at me to tell me to hold on before I started talking to tell me she was going to see if they can still see me today. With all the being said I have the owners information and will be giving him the whole story.

Words CANNOT express just how wonderful Tammy was with my daughter. It was my daughter's first time at the dentist, she is 3, and Tammy went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable. She talked my daughter through everything and showed her each tool as she went along. Overall a great experience!! I highly recommend!

I love smile loft laurel. My cleanings are always spectacular and they are sensitive to patient needs. Dr. Rai and Dr. Robinson are very professional and they tell you the truth of what you need. The customer service of all the assistants and receptionist staff is top notch! Highly recommend!

This review is for Smile Loft in 4th St, Laurel, MD. Before Dr. Hong sold his dental practice last year to Dr. Vaibhav Rai of Smile Loft Laurel, I was very happy and satisfied with Dr. Hong’s service, as well as his staff. I have been a patient of Dr. Hong for 17 years and I’ve referred a number of patients to him. Dr. Hong and his staff are awesome and very knowledgeable. Now, the front desk staff of Dr. Rai looks like they don’t know what they are doing and are only interested with the patient’s $$$. Last Sept. 6, I went Dr. Rai’s office for tooth filling. Outright, the front desk staff charged me for $300. I asked her why I’m paying that much. She said that it’s because the same tooth has been filled less than 2 years ago and that required me to pay full price. So I paid $300 with my credit card only to learn from my insurance that I’m only supposed to pay $31.40 for the procedure. I called the office to let them know about it. I also learned from my insurance that that same tooth has been filled more than 2 years ago. Smile Loft returned my $268.40 over payment on Sept 14. In this case, the staff did not check with my insurance! I don’t know where she got the number $300! With Dr. Hong’s staff, this has never happened to me in 17 years as a patient. Jennifer or Denise always checked with the insurance and they always gave me accurate numbers. Please train your front desk staff on how to charge patients so there will be no issues and misunderstandings. For this particular case, I didn’t complain until today, Oct. 18, when they committed another mistake, this time on my mom’s account which I will discuss separately. Thank you!

Been going to this office for over 2 decades. The staff and dentist are always kind and polite. Great people with good attitudes. The only problem is the waiting to be seen is usually about 20- 25 minutes even when you get there early and I don’t like having to sit down when you are ready to leave and waiting over 5-15 minutes to schedule your next appointment. Just could do better at respecting others time.

I haven't had any work done at the dentist is a while, so I was real nervous on my way there, but I was so surprised my experience was awesome!! Everyone was very nice, and professional they did good job on me.

Wonderful service! Kind doctors. The Dental Hygienist was sooo Kind! I had a mini breakdown and they were both sooo understanding! Love this place Blessed to have found it!
