Starting from the black lady at the front, she should be friendly and get some training on customer service. Get her some training on being the first face patients see when they walk-in, so first impressions matter alot. No one walks you to the back. The black lady just shouts to you and say ā€œ go to room 3ā€. This is very unprofessional . I understand there are staffing issues , but please be FRIENDLY. People are coming to you due to illness, the least you can do is to be warm. The patient registration process was great and quick. The Medical assistant at the back was very professional and soft spoken. Overall the visit was great except from the front desk experience. Please Medstar , get that front lady some training. She has potential.

Be careful going there. I paid when I got there. After long wait doctor asked me what the issue, like I knew. I mentioned my symptoms and he gave me antibiotics without any further questions or check up. Literally 2 minutes and I got out of there. Ofcourse whatever he prescribed didnā€™t help. And I ended up going somewhere else, they did check and I had pneumonia. Long story short now they keep sending me bills.

We were treated by professionals who did a good job making sure I was okay, even though I had to wait two hours to get my stitches. Being as we had time to sit, we noticed a truly culturally insensitive image hanging from the back of the door. See picture. Otherwise, I feel well treated .

This was a deeply disappointing experience. The lady at the front desk was nice and cordial but the rest of the medical experience was quite shoddy. I had a range of symptoms for a couple of weeks. instead of listening to the symptoms or putting even a small amount of thought to think through what might be causing it, the nurse and nurse practitioner were largely dismissive. I had a bad cough. No one bothered using a stethoscope. I donā€™t think diagnosis was a big priority. Instead they just did a flu test, Covid test and a strep throat test. Tested positive for strep even though most of the symptoms did not align. For the rest they said to consult a primary care doctor. To me the whole point of urgent care is to get a correct diagnosis when itā€™s urgent, not to get a referral to a doctor. Overall the experience was very disappointing. I will not come to this location again and I hope this experience is not representative of other locations or other patients.

I recently fell and hurt my knee so I went to this urgent care. I have never been welcomed so warmthly. The receptionist was not only professional but very caring helping me with my paperwork and getting a wheelchair. The MA I saw was super kind and compassionate also. She also did my x-ray with care and compassion. Lastly, the doctor I saw was very knowledgeable and kind. I left feeling very taken care of in compassionate hands. 5 stars!

My first time leaving a review for a healthcare center simply because this was the worst experience ever. The provider showed no sympathy, was trying to rush the process throughout, and was condescending. At the beginning of the appointment I told her I was there for an official diagnosis. Near the end of my visit, she tried to rush out of the room before I told her, again, that I was there for a diagnosis. The way she performed the exam was rushed and cold. She showed no concern for the extreme pain I was in during and after the exam. The one star is for the front desk people I spoke with. The nurse was nice and professional. The provider, not at all.

The receptionist was extremely helpful to me. Know you must sign in on your phone & at 74 I'm not good at that, she was very patient & helped me. The wait time was far longer than I'd expected, only to find out there was just one Nurse Practitioner. Any doctor is merely "on call", not at the facility. The NP was fine despite the long wait.

Excellent service and care. I made the appt online and was able to be seen within the hour from making it. The front desk receptionist was super friendly as well the nurse who took my vitals and last but certainly not least the doctor was so so nice !!

I was very impressed with everyone we interacted with. Everyone was nice to my special needs adult son. They went above and beyond to help with the medicine prescription. Thank you all.

Staff was all very kind and efficient. They clearly communicated wait times, checked in on me and brought me water. Knowledgeable professionals.

What a great experience! I was able to book a visit online, and from the minute I walked in and was greeted by the friendly, professional staff, I knew I was in the right place. I was seen promptly , first by a medical technician and then by my a nurse practitioner. They asked questions and truly listened to me. A prescription was called into the pharmacy for me, and the nurse practitioner talked to me about all of my concerns. I would DEFINITELY go back to this facility.

It took me a while to registered. But overall experience was good. Staff are very nice and helpful. Physician is professional and patient. She communicated well regard to my symptoms and management. It is convenient on weekends and after hours. I highly recommend this service.

Why bother offering appointments if you wind up waiting 1 1/2 to 2 hours? People who took the time to make an appointment should be seen first. They offer platitudes that you are not making an appointment but "reserving a spot". I'd have just done a walk in when they opened this morning if I knew a "reserved spot" was pointless.

Went in expecting the worst wait and old dirty place that I had visited over a decade ago- I had a great experience !! Front desk was very nice and helpful. Was seen way sooner than originally expected. Nurse and doctor were kind and straight to the point! 10/10 would recommend.

Needed X-rays after a fall. The X-ray tech Nancy had 20 years of experience and was knowledgeable and friendly. The nurse practitioner, Sherpa, was careful, asked many questions and gave me the best discharge summary Iā€™ve seen in years, with instructions to follow up with an orthopedist. Best thing: you can make an appt so no endless waiting like in the ER.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The staff was not friendly. Paperworkā€™ was confusing because it wasnā€™t working on my phone. There was a $50 com pay, which I wouldnā€™t have minded paying it but they didnā€™t help me at all. I waited for about 45min, while doing the paper work. Then, they took my vitals and the physician told me to go to the hospital because they didnā€™t draw blood and wouldnā€™t be able to help me. That was about 5min. As well as being rude and interrupting me the inteire time I was trying to explain what I was feeling. We were still in the room, getting the coats and all while the lady was already cleaning up everything, she couldnā€™t even wait to do that and be respectful. Iā€™m not coming back there and I do not recommend.

I will say they where really nice and looked after my care as a patient, the only thing I did notice and my reason for not giving them 5 stars, it's the wait time was quite long to be seen by a doctor, the doctor was very respectful and very knowledgeable, the doctor took great care of me and helped me with a prescription for my condition. I just wish the wait time to be seen by a doctor wasn't to long.

Really put me at ease, finally. After being told by a doctor at my place of employment that I just had a viral respiratory infection and he couldn't justify giving me an antibiotic (after me telling him numerous times that, as an asthmatic I'm prone to illnesses when the seasons change), things regressed to the point of me just not being able to function without problems. This center took a much different approach and got the diagnosis right. Much different level of care here that I really appreciated. The wait was a little long considering it was Sunday afternoon and there were only 2 patients there, but I'm a patient man. Happy I found this place.

Iā€™ve been here at least twice in the past year. I chose this place because itā€™s the only urgent care in the area that accepts appointments. Wait time is considerably shorter than other urgent cares in the area. Of course, wait time is not guaranteed in case thereā€™s a patient that needs to be prioritized. The facility is clean and the staff is nice and straight forward. The providers diagnosed me quickly and answered any questions without making me feel rushed. Parking sucks, but other than that itā€™s fine. Better than seeing your primary doctor in 3 months for something you need right now

Very unprofessional. I had a 6:40pm appointment and I showed up at 6:30pm. I had already completed the required paperwork online. I was suffering from back pain and that is the reason I took an appointment with the Medstar Urgent Care clinic in Rockville. I was told by the front desk person that they are backed up and cannot guarantee that a Doctor will have time to see me. I was asked to fill in paperwork and wait in my car. The clinic closes at 8pm. And if I did not get my chance before 8pm, I have to reschedule my appointment. Wait for one hour in my car and then go home? Not coming back here ever again.

The service is excellent and the price for cleaning my sofa are was reasonable. He didnā€™t rush. The cleaning was very thorough. I would definitely use them again, and refer them to friends and family.

Having a health concern can be daunting and stressful. The nurse practitioners at MedStar Health gave me peace of mind and gave me the best recommendation for my next steps. I am totally delighted with their professionalism, their attention to detail and the care they took to make sure that I had the best information possible.

I was extremely surprised on how well this facility was run, outstanding. From the moment i walked in, everyone was very friendly and professional, it felt very comfortable and just knew i was going to receive great care. I made an appointment on line and it gave the time and that there may small delays so you knew in advance. A very pleasant experience and will not hesitate using this facility again.

The check in process was straight forward and the front office staff were polite and professional. My provider was nice and very responsive to my needs. The only issue was the wait time. Due to the volume of patients and one priority (ā€œtrauma roomā€) patient, I didnā€™t get seen for about 2 hours.

Iā€™ve got got to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of care at this location! The staff (from front desk to the doctor) were all incredibly friendly, and got me into an exam room within what didnā€™t feel like more than 10 minutes. The exam (including) X-Ray, was pretty seamless, up until the end when all was done and I waited in my exam room for nearly 30 minutes for discharge paperwork. Other than that, the visit was painless, but after a long day and really just wanting to get home, an extra 30 minutes of just sitting there waiting for a piece of paper made me dock a star. Other than that, would happily return if needed.

I went to this place because I heard wonderful things about them and I have used their service long ago when my offspring were kids. I got a very bad cold and on the third day I lost my sense for smell. Even though Iā€™m completely vaccinated I got extremely concerned about other people around me. I arrived at this place early in the evening and I was seeing in less than an hour. My rapid Covid test came negative; but I still have to wait for the other test that will arrive in 2 days. The front desk lady was extremely sweet and polite, the doctor assistant was nice, knowledgeable and seems concerned about me. I would recommend this place in a blink of an eye ā¤ļø

I made an appointment for the corvid test because I am traveling after I went to the clinic; they said I had to do a physical exam too, which I was not planning, but I was willing to accept. They took the corvid test, and they are taking their time. I told them my situation, but they said the physician was busy. I can't wait for more than one hour because I have to return to my work. The nurse called me and said, we will throw your test she said. What kind of system is that? I did not sign for physical. I signed for the covid test. Additionally, people who have covid could not find the tester to test themselves and their loved ones, but you are misusing it? Why do we make an appointment if we wait for an hour to get tested? I was very disappointed by the service, and the front desk was very unprofessional.

I came on a Sunday evening with some second degree burns on my hand from a kitchen accident. The receptionists refused to let me see a doctor and said to go to the ER. There was absolutely no reason for me to clog up an ER for the relatively minor level of injury I had and I wasnā€™t about to go sit around for hours exposing myself to Covid in an ER waiting room so I went home and did my best to treat myself. I was there about half an hour before closing and no one else was there so I canā€™t help but suspect they just sent me away because they didnā€™t want to stay longer. What I came in with is exactly the kind of injury that should be handled by urgent care instead of an ER. Update: I've seen their response and want to clarify I was not told "we only take appointments." The receptionist asked to see my burns, looked, and told me to go to the ER. There was no mention of needing an appointment at all and they didn't suggest trying to make an appointment for the next day or anything. I was simply told they would not treat my injury based apparently on the medical opinion of the receptionist. There were also no other patients there at the time.

Thankfully we did not have a serious health problem on our visit. We needed a sports physical for my daughter. We didn't have an appointment just walked in filled out the forms. They young lady at the front was very pleasant. We had a short wait then went back and Dayana took all the vitals and checked our forms. She was very nice as well. Dr. Adams performed the physical. He was awesome. Very friendly. Took his time and talked to my daughter about the whole process. He even asked if she was having any problems with bullying at school. I was very pleased with our visit.

I strongly feel that the provider here racially discriminated against me and refused me service. Called ahead to have it confirmed drain and suture removal could be done here but upon arrival the ā€œproviderā€ almost instantly refused me serviceā€¦I wonder whyā€¦

Before arriving at the facility, I called to see if the physician offered cortisone shots for my injury. The receptionist informed me that they do, but I needed to be evaluated first. When I saw the Physicianā€™s Assistant, I was informed that the facility did NOT offer the treatment I needed. She insisted I need to see a specialist for my sprained ankle. When I informed her that I was misled during my earlier call, she changed the conversation. This visit was a waste of my time. I was told to simply rest, elevate and ice. All things I already knew. Additionally, the physician had terrible bedside manner. It was clear she did not read the intake information I filled in before I entered into the treatment room. She assumed I had a broken leg before doing a proper assessment and repeated this assumption after I corrected her. She repeatedly asked questions of me that I had already provided in my intake documentation, and she snapped at me when I corrected her by saying to me, ā€œwell I donā€™t live with you.ā€ I found her demeanor and her ā€œtreatmentā€ to be unprofessional and unhelpful. She didnā€™t even offer to hold the door for me knowing I was injured and was using a knee skooter. As I was leaving I stoped at the front desk to check out and the receptionist informed me that I was good to go. I assume that meant I did not owe anything for my visit bc of my experience. I DO NOT recommend this facility.
