At
25
years
old
my
bunions
were
already
pretty
unbearable.
I
played
sports
all
my
life,
all
year
round,
up
until
my
junior
year
of
college
because
finally
the
pain
in
my
knees
resulting
from
my
bunions
was
too
much
to
bear.
In
2021
I
went
to
see
a
doctor
in
Oregon
who
performs
traditional
bunion
surgery
and
I
was
going
to
put
my
trust
in
him
and
get
the
surgery
but
my
circumstances
changed
and
I
moved
back
to
Maryland.
I
am
so
extremely
happy
that
I
didn’t
get
the
traditional
surgery.
Since
getting
bunion
lapiplasty
with
Dr.
Polun,
I
learned
about
2
family
friends
who
did
get
traditional
surgery
and
they
were
not
happy
with
the
results
because
years
after
their
surgeries
they
are
still
recovering
and
still
in
pain.
That
is
not
the
case
for
me,
I
got
my
right
foot
fixed
in
early
April
and
feel
amazing.
In
my
3
months
of
post
surgery
physical
therapy
I
have
been
making
great
progress
and
am
truly
astounded
at
how
aligned
my
foot,
leg,
and
hip
are
now.
It
didn’t
take
long
for
my
right
leg
to
become
stronger
and
sturdier
than
my
left,
and
my
left
leg
was
the
stronger,
more
supportive
one
pre-surgery.
Dr.
Polun
has
been
so
great
and
I
am
very
glad
I
put
my
trust
in
him.
He
is
straight-forward
which
I
appreciate
and
has
been
very
informative
the
whole
time,
making
sure
I
understand
what
exactly
is
going
on
and
why;
answering
any
and
all
question
that
I
or
my
mother
have
had
(and
she
had
a
lot
of
questions).
I
was
so
happy
with
the
first
surgery
that
I
got
my
left
foot
done
in
July.
I
am
recovering
now
and
this
time
around
I
feel
even
better,
probably
because
of
my
excitement
for
what’s
to
come.
Namely
being
able
to
get
back
to
an
athletic
lifestyle,
something
I
gave
up
on
in
the
past
several
years
due
to
pain
and
discomfort.
I
would
recommend
Dr.
Polun
to
anyone
seeking
to
fix
their
bunions.
