Initially they gave us a room on the LL floor tower 2 and the moment we checked in we heard noise of kids running around. We asked if we could change to a quieter room and the front desk nicely complied and got us a room on the 3rd floor same tower. The room was decent size and I like the digital options for housekeeping. They provided everything you need, a coffee machine and a microwave, the room was clean. Parking was free but if your room doesn’t come with breakfast, to get one would cost $15.50, don’t think it’s worth, there was only a couple of people.

Let me start off by saying the front desk help was wonderful and patient with all kinds of questions. There was ample parking the lobby was well attended to and clean. Elevator is in good working order. I felt safe inside and outside of the building. Breakfast was nice with fresh fruit a plenty. The rooms were clean spacious and nothing was amiss. Bathrooms worked very nicely along with showers Highly recommended! ,,⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I checked into this hotel on 9/17/22. I went out later that night and came back the morning of 9/18/22 to find all my belongings including my car stolen(my car key fob was in my room). My hotel room was wiped out- nothing was left. The front desk employee did not react as if this issue was important. I had to call the cops and would not wish this experience on anyone. You go to a hotel to relax and be safe, so for this to happen is not okay. I would not recommend this hotel. I have not heard anything from them as of today & I have tried numerous times to contact their corporate office. It was one of the worst experiences I had to go through & would not advice anyone to stay at this location. I know I would not be staying at a holiday inn ever again.

This was a very disappointing stay. But first, the positives: 1. The hotel was relatively clean. 2. My room was comfortable. 3. I had 2 positive interactions with front-desk staff. 4. Maintenance staff were efficient and professional. The negatives: 1. Breakfast is not included, though it's implied that it is. Not to worry because-- 2. Breakfast options are HORRIBLE. The eggs are labeled as cage-free, but I'm unaware of shelled eggs that look and taste like powdered eggs. And if those eggs WERE, in fact, real eggs, shame on the cook!! The bacon was limp and soggy, the sausage was undercooked. Even the juice was nasty. Definitely not worth the $15.50 they charge. 3. The hotel advertised a shuttle. There was a shuttle on premises. But there was either no one to drive the shuttle, or the shuttle wasn't working. I'm not sure which, because no one could get the story straight. Regardless of the rationale, I had to use Uber to get to and from my daily meetings--an expense I hadn't figured into my trip planning. 4. The indoor pool would have been a great amenity... but the water was green. In all, it's quite a shame that a franchise in the "hospitality" industry exhibited such disinterest in offering high-quality customer service. Please know that I attempted to share my experience with the general manager but, at the time of this review posting, I've not received a response to my request for a conversation.

Front desk staff were kind & tried to help as much as they could. But this hotel is disgusting. Not clean. Whole first tower smells like water damage. My lungs & throat have been killing me. Was contemplating staying extra days. Definitely not now. Moved rooms because the first definitely smelled of animals. Children were complaining of that. And water damage. The elevators smell like urination. And there is dust & dirt in every crevice. Not to mention a very strange encounter at “free breakfast” which we wound up paying for. I will be beyond grateful to be HOME. (We originally wanted to stay at Hilton… it was having some Reno issues so they suggested we shop nearby, sad this is where we chose.) Id venture to say the water/sprinkler system went off multiple times at some points in the past. The carpets reek of water/mildew. Convenient to the highway. But … save your money people. Drive elsewhere.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying here, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I wouldn't wish this hotel on my worst enemy, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this place. The front desk staff were apathetic and seemed completely disinterested in helping guests. It set the tone for the entire stay. The so-called "complimentary breakfast" was a joke – stale bread, limited choices and you only get apple juice kid size.

Very Nice hotel! Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bar was so cool and comfortable. They had plenty of parking. Hotel is huge, my brother was in building 2. Ice was dirty 🤢, they have Keurig, Fridge and microwave. The shower door was broken in the room but not too much more to complain about. It was hard not to get wet while turning water off, they should have both shower doors to open. The hotel door had fancy buttons to indicate if room service is needed. That's much better than the signs that usually fall off. They were having a church service in a conference room.. they had plenty of rooms to host family reunion, weddings meeting etc.. the staff was nice as well. They have an indoor pool. It was located near shops, restaurants and convenience stores. I would definitely stay here again.

The service was the worst I've ever received at an IHG hotel. One of the managers, Michele not only was rude to her customers but berated her staff, as well, in front of customers! The poor girl was new! I'm a military member and my family came in to see me off to Kuwait. After asking if we could sit together in the dining room and being told yes, Richard came from the back and started YELLING at us that we could not sit there because we brought outside food (McDonald's and it was 11p.m.). He scared the younger children we had with us. I tried to explain that we were told we could sit there but he kept talking over me and refused to let us sit there. It was terrible. The only highlights were Mary who just started, but was amazing even with Michele being rude and condescending the whole time. And Traer, who also was extremely helpful and made us feel welcome. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! I'm also going to see how it can be removed from the military approved list as they are definitely not military friendly. Michele cited policy that didn't exist in order to make us pay for the children's meals. It was just terrible...😑

Overall my stay was enjoyable. The College Park Holiday Inn was located in a great area not to far off I-95. Ext. on Ikea Way and yes it shares a parking lot with Ikea. The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant both reasonably priced. Their breakfast buffet is very fulfilling and kids eat free. That was a plus! Although I didn't get a opportunity to use the pool, they did have a indoor pool in Tower One. The staff were all very friendly. My room was clean as well. I definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the area.

Rooms & pool was nice. Front desk service was great as was the bar. The breakfast however, save your money! They write how many adults & how many kids you pay for (mine are both older teens) who went down 1st & they kept the ticket. As we're checking out I just wanted one of their tooted cinnamon rolls & the woman would not let me even look to see if they had any. I informed her that my kids came down earlier & she DID find my room # ticket, she still wouldn't let me enter. This stay at this location which was not the one I booked but 2 mishaps with them trying to find the accommodations I paid for, the 3rd that it took us an extra 2 hours to get to & settled in. Some employees were helpful, some just were not!

Rooms start off over $100 a night. So for what we paid, I would expect better quality of staff and service. My fiancé and I stayed here for a business trip. After working 13 hours straight, outside in this heat, we came to the hotel. We check in and go to park. Not a single parking spot was available. We had to drive around the building for 30 minutes for a parking spot! (Mind you this is at 9pm!) We have never been here before, leaving us completely unfamiliar with this place. We were only told our room number. Assuming since our room started with 2 , we go to the second floor. Obviously, it was not our floor. We grab our luggage and walk inside. There is a HUGE formal meeting. We had no clue how to get through our room. It was packed! So, here we are, just getting off a construction job site, meandering our way through this formal party, it was so packed we were hitting people with our bulky luggage and I’m sure the last thing these people wanted to see on their special night were two lost guests merging their way up and down their party. By the grace of God, we find our room. It was ok. Went to take a shower and the hot water took FOREVER to heat up. We wake up to leave, look out of our window to see some poor souls had all of their tires stolen, straight in the parking lot! This experience left us disgusted.

I will give this hotel 2 stars for the lovely ladies at the front desk. The check-in was great and the lady in the evening who changed my room at 10:00 pm. My room Was next to a banquet room booked til 2 a.m. blaring music for an event. However, at 10 p.m. and with my young family member, I wanted to get my one night stay over with. This hotel looks as if it had renovations. The cleaning staff doesn’t take good care of the maintenance of the property. My first room was cleaned well. The second room had debris on the floor (bathroom and bedroom area). Water stains on the ceiling over my bed. On a positive note, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. It is also convenient to the University of Maryland and food establishments I will not be returning to this Holiday Inn. I would not recommend it to anyone either.

Clean hotel. I would stay again. Soft pillows! Only stayed for the night and was out at 7am. Didn’t use the pool cause we were tired. Only con for me was that the lobby was filled with ppl checking in at 3pm (so was I) The front desk associate (could have been the mngr) wouldn’t check us in at 2:55. She insisted we wait until 3pm on the dot. Kind of annoying. Other than that, it was ok.

Very clean and comfortable. Easy access from highway. Enough shops around to grab a bite to eat. The beds were very comfortable. Has fridge and microwave. Didn’t use the pool, but looked nice.

Staff were nice. Room and bed sheets were clean. No issues with plumbing or air conditioning. Housekeeping were nice and understanding. The hot breakfast buffet not complimentary, unless you pay for the package, but the food was good, I paid about $16. The walls are a little thin and we could hear people talking and kids running but it wasn't all day/night. Enjoyed the stay overall, and I would book again.

The hotel experience was amazing. The workers were very nice and the room was very affordable. They have a wide variety of foods for a breakfast buffet. The only reason why I dated this 4 stars is because the stay was a little scary. The first day at 11pm someone ran through the hall screaming "FBI OPEN UP". The next day when we woke up the cops were on the same floor as us. We also left for a while during the day only to find when we got back that housekeeping didn't care to enter our room. The bed sheets were not changed and there was no toilet paper. Even though breakfast was included in our purchase they still asked us to pay $16 each to eat there. At the end the issue was resolved. It was a little scary and annoying but the entire hotel was very nice.

I travel for my job quite frequently and generally choose Holiday Inn's as they're decent and not too expensive. AND, most have Keurig's in the rooms! Love my coffee, bring my own pods. This is for Michele at the front desk, has to be the BEST I've ever dealt with hands down! So so friendly, helpful and accommodating! Thank you for making my stay a pleasure!

My husband and I stayed here for a night because we went to a football game at fedex field and was going to MGM and we booked a room online on a 3rd party website and after getting to the hotel, they tell us they do not have our reservation and they aren’t affiliated with this 3rd party we used so we had to cancel and rebook it through Priceline and was able to get a room and we were told it was free hot breakfast but you have to either book a room that comes with the breakfast or pay for the food in the dining hall but apparently we didn’t book a room with free breakfast but due to all of the confusion with booking our room they still gave us a free breakfast! We give them 5 stars because the staff was great and very accommodating with everything my husband and I needed, the rooms were VERY clean and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean no matter what area I was in, either my room, at the pool and in the elevator. I really enjoyed the color changing water wall (be sure to check it out). And this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has a doorbell for every room. How cool is that? Plus the ring around the button changes red for do not disturb (also shuts off doorbell function) and green if you want your room cleaned. Nice indoor pool. Also has a nice restaurant/bar. Outside was just as clean as the inside was. It’s 30 minutes from the White House and 20 minutes away from the airport. I highly recommend staying here if your in the area.

Good hotel. 2nd time staying here. Last time was 2019 when they were doing some updates. Area has since had significant updates since. Only issue was it was not so quiet as we heard folks talking in the hallways. Otherwise, it's a good place you should consider staying.

Stayed at this hotel after a drive down from NY. It's only about 10 minutes off of 95 south so it's very convenient. it's in a nice area that's well lit, near gas station and plenty of food. I was tired when I arrived and Ela at the front desk was very friendly and made the process quick. After I got to my room the key didn't work right. When I went back down Ela took care of it super quick. Instead of trying to fix that door, she seamlessly transferred me to another room so that I didn't have to wait. The hotel is very nice for the price, and Ela is the star of the show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I travel often and when I come to the DC area, this Holiday Inn is my go to! I have been to this location numerous times over the years. Since I have been traveling more often over the last few months I have been booking rooms here more frequently. I always have a great stay. The staff are all really helpful. Even when I have had minor issues, they resolve them so quickly. They even address me by name now, which always makes me happy and feel welcome. The location is great there is a Wawa right next to it of you want a late night snack or quick breakfast. Also, there are other restaurants if you want food that you can walk to if you don’t want to waste gas. Can’t believe I waited so long to write a review. I will continue to stay here when I am in the area.

Clean. Pleasant staff. Nice location with chain restaurants within walking distance. Wawa next door. Rooms were very clean. It looks like they were recently redone. Lots of outlets and charging ports on each side of the king bed.

Nice staff. Clean room. Great location. Dirty sheets. Everything was good until we went to bed. Had to throw off most of the covers because they smelled bad and had stains. Also, ask about the breakfast coupon. I was not offered one with my reservation but apparently you need one to eat breakfast. The buffet was great though

Woke up to a cockroach in the bed, second time i stayed here. First time my AC unit was very loud. Breakfast not included, another cost cutting measure. Staff is nice. They took the issues seriously, and good people seem to work here. But why pay $100-150 when I can get the same or better for $60-80?

This is a very nice and lovely location. I was there for True Pentecostal church and pastoral anniversary banquet. The food was excellent!!! The cost was the best in Pronce George County. Restrooms were neat and clean, and the service was wonderful. I would recommend this location for special events!

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel. I’ve stayed here two nights in a row, and I wouldn’t mind staying a third of they weren’t all booked up lol. Ms Roxanne and the hotel staff were professional and very considerate. Fitness center and pool were also very nice.

Absolutely horrible company with no customer service or care for their customers. Made a reservation for an event and was called later to say there was a mistake and I had no room. They found no other rooms, told me to call another Holiday Inn property and when I asked the property manager for the Management Company contact information since she was no help and rude, she said she didn't feel safe. Avoid at all cost if you really need a room. EDIT: It keeps getting better. After the property manager replied below, and acknowledge the reservation was cancelled by the hotel which left me with no room to stay it, I was charged a no show fee. In addition, the hotel told me if I wanted my money returned to my bank quicker than 5 business days, I would need to talk to me bank. So, it was actually possible for the customer service to get WORSE.

Plenty of on-site parking. Convenient food choices nearby. Good 30 minute drive to DC, traffic dependent. Friendly, helpful staff. Hotel carpeting dated. Comfortable beds. Delicious, hearty breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.

It was an average experience for the hotel. The key cards kept messing up in the laundry machine was broken. The help only spokes Spanish for the most part but it wasn't that big of a deal. They were nice and would clean up an area when you asked if they were on your floor. It was really quick service. The rooms weren't all that and the second room we got had a semi clogged shower drain which i didn't appreciate but other than that you're not too far away from things in Washington DC and it was really active in the area and had great food places close by.

My experience is with the Terapin Kitchen inside the hotel. In my opinion, once the word is out, this place will be popping. Great food at the bar. Great cocktails... shout out to Richard, the bartender. A nice jazz set on Thursday nights, plus an occasional comedy show. Check the website for times. Of course you need tickets for the comedy, it costs money to laugh 😃 My favorite is the breakfast/brunch on Saturday and Sunday. I'm pretty picky about everything, but I like this. Go judge for yourself. Finally... I'd be willing to add a star to this review plus a couple of $$ to the bill for a champagne mimosa option with breakfast 😋

I want to give it a 4.5 star. My only complaint, was the pool was a little cold. And the other guest were too loud in the hall. Loved the room, clean comfortable, hot shower, was able to park close to the door. Would have like free breakfast. I would stay here again.

  • 3/5 Larry T. 1 year ago on Google
Property seemed nice and far enough from DC not to be overpriced. But first room they booked us in was next to the conference room where a full party was going. And our first impression never really got better. Only one with any good customer service was the bartender.

After a stressful 5 Hour drive, Kayla made the stress disappear when I checked in thank you Kayla 5 Stars across the board and thanks again for the upgrade. It’s Tom from New York in addition checking out I met with Jean and his amazing positive professional attitude start off my day with a smile that helped me all day. Your entire team especially the men and women preparing breakfast was extremely clean the food was fresh what a great surprise. God bless happy healthy 2022. 100% referring family and friends to your location.

Wow! This hotel was so nice! They actually had room service everyday… this is the first hotel stay I’ve had since 2020 offering daily room service, I was actually shocked to come back to my bed made daily and trash taken out. The room was so clean and updated. The front desk staff was polite and helpful (and should get a raise because there was a belligerent man with blood on his face knocking on doors looking for the manager and the front desk assistant was so calm about it!). 100% would stay again . I didn’t try the breakfast, but it seems a little unclear on 3rd party booking sites whether it’s included or not
