We needed a place to stay last minute in the area and driving around the block there was many options. Looking at the outside structures and comparing we decided to give Quality Inn a try. When walking in we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed talking to the woman at the front desk while we booked our room. We insisted that we need a non-smoking room that won’t smell like any smoke because my boyfriend is really affected by it. She was very knowledgeable and seemed quite genuine about us enjoying our stay and making sure the room would be perfect for us. We were told if we had any issues to come back to the desk and they will move us at no extra charge if we aren’t happy. The price was reasonable for a queen bed (we only needed 1 but we got 2 no extra charge because that was all that was left). We grabbed our stuff and went up the elevator to our room (which is a plus because we stayed at places in the past that only have stairs) and when we opened the door we were extremely satisfied. It smelt clean. We looked around the room checking the mattress sheets, the toilet, shower, corners and window ledge and curtains. We also had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot with tea or coffee as well as vending machines throughout. Everything was extremely cleaned and we couldn’t find one thing to complain about. We enjoyed our stay very much. I highly recommend this hotel over any in the area.

I couldn’t stay it was so nasty. The room smelled like underarm and unsanitary private parts. There were TWO UNKNOWN SPECIES DEAD ON THE WALL. The carpet let was sticky filthy. Bathroom was nasty. It was unfit for human habitation. Little bugs on the pillows it was just filthy. No signal on TV. IT WAS HORRIBLE. There were people hanging around outside drinking and loud. People (Guest) sitting in the lobby glaring and glazing at Guest as the entered and checked in. It was something I have never had to witness …. I walked in the room which was also hot saw the bugs on the wall and some tiny look like bugs moving on the bed. I couldn’t believe. It. I immediately went back to the front desk and demanded my money back. It was a waste of time and no matter how attractive they make it seem and how much of a discount they or third parties offer DO NOT DO IT.

Clean room. No smells. Friendly and respectful staff. Prices reasonable. Not much of scenery look but that’s okay. Updated bathroom (still kinda small tho). They are in the middle of renovations so the hallways and floors are pretty. Plenty of parking and is surrounded my different stores/restaurants. Will come again!

Do NOT go here! I will be calling BG about recommending this nightmare! Found two bugs! Smoke detector still had plastic wrapped around it from when ceiling had been painted! Shower handles turned in opposite directions when they weren't falling off in my hands! Sink handles are incorrectly labeled! And this was designed as a handicap room...can you imagine?! I did not sleep much and was glad when morning came!

I was expecting more for my $135 that I paid for me and my pet to stay here. The room was old and outdated, the entire facility was poorly kept. The guests all looked like they were conducting illegal activities or as if they were high or intoxicated, and there were signs everywhere saying the facility was being monitored, which made me think that there was a reason. The room had a lingering smell that seemed to have been from someone's heavy cologne; the bed was old with springs that I could feel once I got in. And the neighborhood was not inviting to walk around, I did not feel safe, there was a horrible view, and overall the area seemed deserted and in poor condition. I would say this is a 1 star hotel at best, not a 2 star, and if I were there for more than 1 night, I would have to request a refund or to stay somewhere else as I don't think I could handle more than 1 quick night. The only positive thing was the clean sheets and comfortable pillows, as well as the friendly staff at breakfast and the wide choice of breakfast options. I tried visiting local dog parks and these were also poorly kept and in bad condition. Overall, the entire area was not one I would ever go back to. Not all of Laurel is like this, it just seemed that this particular area was.

The pool is a great summer attraction to stay here. There aren't many pools open since COVID. This one is open and outside! My kids have a blast. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The window views are nice. The staff is friendly and it's worth it's price. A little bit of luxury on a budget.

*** Alert - construction work and no swimming pool . Extremely noisy *** Looked at google and Expedia and booked this hotel room. It was convenient for us to g around Laurel .. lots of restaurants / Dunkin etc around this hotel . Check in was easy and quick .. the hotel room itself was good . Beds were good . They had a TV with lots of channels , microwave , fridge etc. the real trouble started the next day morning . After 8 am we heard thumping noise outside and people were doing work .. construction work . It was irritating and unbearable noise levels . I wished they finished it in 30 mins but it kept going from 8 - 12 noon. Headache for all of us in the room. They didn’t even mention it while checking in. Parking is wierd . With so much construction , there is hardly any parking available in the front . Had 2 tough days and we couldn’t relax at all with the noise levels . Will never book this hotel again …

HORRIBLE FRONT DESK ATTENDANT! Had a good first experience so we decided to come back. Will never go back and honestly choice hotels has to have better standards as to who they franchise to. It’s not just all about money. The tub was filthy, complained to front desk the nice gentleman told me housekeeping was gone for the night but he would leave a note for the staff so it could be addressed first thing the next morning. Called down to front desk at 11:30 am and the old lady that was there in the morning was so rude, dismissive and condescending saying there was no way he could have ‘left a note’ for the other staff so that’s why it wasn’t addressed. They have pads and pens all over the hotel so I didn’t understand why he ‘couldn’t’. Also woke up to a bite on my arm which to me indicated bed bugs. My husband and I went and got bed big spray. Very nasty hotel especially when you bring things to their attention and they act like YOU’RE in the wrong for wanting quality service. They lie in the interviews to get these jobs saying how they’re good at customer service when I’m actuality they’re horrible and should be fired. Needless to say no one ever came to clean the tub and none of my other concerns were addressed. They’ll come on here and reply apologizing because maybe they have to according to choice hotels rules but they don’t mean any of it. I’d give ZERO stars if they were available. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BOOK ELSEWHERE. And you won’t see my name because the reservation was under my husbands name check in 4/17- check out 4/21 rm 492

Housekeeping asking me at 9am if I was leaving when my check out is at 11. So rude! Day before, housekeeping knocking on door. I just barely got in the room the night before. Come on. I came for rest and that bothered me. Otherwise I liked my room. Just a noisy road too. Great location. Mixed feelings! Great front desk dude! Thank you for the recommendations.

The hotel provide great courteous guest services. The entire team had good report with us during our entire stay of three night, the owner very personable, however they are in renovation remodel status currently. We would love to revisit after property is completed there remodeling ventures.

One of the best places I’ve stayed at. Wonderful and friendly front desk on each rotation, clean & futuristic look, blinds block out light well, and appliances are functional. Had to take a star off for okay-ish Wi-Fi and thin walls. Get yourself some good earplugs. Great place to rest.

The only pet peeve is the attendant needs to speak more clearly. The graveyard shift attendant. I got a freshly renovated room. And I think I was the first one to use. I booked here again a week later and everything was great

Recently upgraded. Free breakfast, outdoor swimming pool. Located in the heart of old town Laurel. Just a block away from main street. Interesting and unusual shops and storefronts. Need a new or used car? You're only a block away from a car dealership. If you like books, there's a nearby book store. Also a reasonably priced diner just two blocks away.

Stayed for one night. Very friendly staff, especially Floyd, who checked us in. Room was very clean and recently updated. Only 4 stars because the room had no wastebasket. Good coffee but didn't try the breakfast.

I'm not really one to leave a review on a place as it tends to be stated that if a place is incredible, you're bound to come back and come back in spades. To say that Quality Inn is a home away from home is a massive understatement. Despite the other reviews that tend to lambast this place, this is one of the most comfortable places in the area that has an abundance of things to do so that you are never bored. From great shopping places to quaint little eateries like Little Tavern, Wings & Things or even Tastee Diner. Some places might be a bit pricey but you tend to pay more for good food as its come to be expected. Lets get onto the staff starting with the general manager Mike. Mike is a very attentive, generous, and understanding man who I think was the best-appointed person to take on the role. There is Kimora who is always a chipper face to see in the morning and makes the early morning check-in much more bearable. There is Ms. Vera Lee who is always a joy to see whether its early morning or late in the evening for the overnight she is a joy to see whenever you walk into the building. There is Floyd & Anthony who make the stay here far more enjoyable and are incredibly helpful and there is Tyeish & Laura who provide much entertainment when you stop by to pick up mail or even let them know about any small inconvenience. Housekeeping and Maintenance do an incredible job around here and Mr. Andy who does Breakfast in the morning does an absolutely amazing job and makes coming down for breakfast a treat. All in All, Quality Inn is an amazing little stop in the cut of Laurel that many people skip over for the bigger places like Sleep Inn or Holiday Inn but this small little slice of home is always going to give you the most comfortable homey experience you could ask for.

We have been here on and off a couple of times and each time we come, we've came in the middle of their renovation. We stayed in their standard rooms, modern rooms, and newly renovated rooms. The room that we are currently in is one of their newly renovated rooms on the second floor and this room is by far my favorite room. I wanted to comment and say that the staff is wonderful from Mike the Manager who is a joy to be around. Mike is very helpful and considerate and understanding during our time of need. Kimora the Assistant Manager is as always pleasant, helpful, and considerate and absolutely great to be around. And there is Ms. Vera who is alwayss helpful, courteous, kind, and considerate. And there are my daytime sons Floyd & Anthony who always make us laugh and be as comfortable as possible. And there is my nighttime joy Tyeisha. This place will always been seen as my home away from home. It is an absolute joy to be here. I also do not want to forget the housekeepers who are totally awesome at their job along with Mr. Andy who does breakfast in the morning. He is great in the morning, helpfull and funny and I love to start my morning with him.

I am not pleased with your service, especially the receptionist that helped me on April 16, 2022 at 9:00 am. She's charging me again. I already prepared my room when I checked in on Thursday afternoon. Her name is Laura very unprofessional with long nails and not even paying attention to the customers. However, the breakfast area was nice and the attendee was very courteous and friendly.

My husband booked us a room here and the front desk agent Laura was very kind. She went out of her way to help us and made us very comfortable. All hotels need to have agents like her!!! We’ve stayed at 5 star hotels and it was horrible compared to the quality inn suites in Laurel, Md!

Checked in almost midnight on 5/27 with my family. It was too late to make make other arrangements. The hotel is in need of serious repairs and updates - from the dirty lobby entry rug, paint job in the elevator and the room had patched wall, AC/heater had visible wires underneath, the lamp was cracked and taped. The bathroom needed a thorough cleaning before use. The metal tissue box cover affixed to the wall fell off when a tissue was pulled. Overall all poor experience. Front desk attendant didn’t even look up from their phone when we entered the building. Wish I could post pictures to really give a better picture of the state of the room.

I received a text that my card was declined and I was required to call the hotel by 6pm to keep my reservation. I received this text less than an hour before 6pm and there was never a call or any other follow up. I was driving to the hotel so there was no way I could've checked my phone and seen this text to respond to. When I finally got there I was told my reservation was cancelled and there was no hope of getting the rooms back since they were given away. I understand that my reservation can get canceled if my card is declined, but there was barely any attempt to contact me and even if I was successfully contacted it was so late that there was barely any time left. Will not be coming to another Quality Inn knowing that my reservation can get canceled out of the blue with little to no notice. I was able to find another hotel on the same street nearby thankfully and they were great.

I never have any problems here. I use to stay here all the time pre COVID-19. Rooms were cleaned excellently. I was truly surprised they still had some sort of breakfast for guest. Great place to stay especially when on business. It's tucked away on 3 laned strip surrounded by a lot stores or strip malls.

The gentleman at check in desk was very nice & very helpful. I had no problem with him. We stayed in on the second floor. As soon as we got off the elevator there was a foul smell which had my stomach upset.(Cigarette Smell) Not sure if someone had a party in the room next door I heard a lot of banging on the walls through the whole night, yelling/loud conversations, it smelled like someone was smoking, just awful. Our bathroom had hair on the floor and in the tub which disgusts me. If there's one thing that I dislike the most is finding other people's hair. Which made me doubt if the rooms are cleaned an sanitized.

Masks? Sign on the wall but most staff and guests ignore it Noise? Plenty-mostly traffic and trains Breakfast? One item of bad food Hot shower? Jumps from hot to scalding-be careful

  • 1/5 Adeola W. 2 years ago on Google
Does NOT follow the PG county mask mandate. All the staff walked around with the mask on their chin, as if they were waiting for a surprise inspection and they could pretend that they really do wear their masks. Hotel cleaning staff entering rooms for cleaning without masks. Offering "grab and go" breakfast served by unmasked server, who had to personally make your waffles or give you juice from a dispenser (are we still doing this in covid times)? Would have given it a potential 3 as a matter of fact I only did this review because the general manager chose to respond to my non - public survey with a nasty email, which included the lie that PG county doesn't have a mask mandate. Then chose not to apologize after I responded to the email. *I haven't done many reviews since covid started because I want to give people a chance to thrive but why act so nasty over a non public survey instead of just saying "we need to do better".

Welcoming. Decent rates. Great location near Baltimore and DC. Fast and simple check in. Front desk staff are great and professional; especially Veralee and Anthony, they work with you. Hotel is being operated exceptionally by GM Mike. Housekeeping staff keep the hotel and rooms clean. Free breakfast is always a plus. Had a good time and stay. Will definitely stay here again.

I'm just working there renovating the building. Right now it's in the middle of the renovation, although the new owner is well on his way to make this a nice place to stay.
