The
Hampton
Inn
Laurel
is
a
basic
hotel.
The
best
things
about
it
were:
the
location,
the
excellent
staff,
and
the
complimentary
hot
breakfast.
All
the
staff
members
were
there
to
make
your
stay
the
best,
and
each
took
pride
in
the
property
they
work
at.
The
rooms
are
badly
in
need
of
renovation.
Our
first
room
had
a
soft
and
old
bed,
but
when
we
were
moved
to
another
room
upon
request,
the
bed
was
better.
In
both
rooms
the
bathroom
sinks
did
not
drain,
although
the
showers
were
strong
and
decent.
The
tiled
floors
need
re-grouting.
The
colors
are
dark
and
dingy,
and
the
carpet
had
some
stains.
The
views
were
terrible,
and
the
windows
did
not
open
for
any
air.
However,
the
A/C
was
sufficient.
There
is
no
fan
in
the
bathroom,
which
is
a
problem
with
steam
when
one
showered.
I
think
that
is
a
code
violation.
We
did
ask
for
housekeeping
during
our
3
day
stay
and
they
did
a
good
job.
The
breakfast
was
very
good
and
the
coffee
was
delicious.
The
lobby
was
nicely
appointed
and
comfortable.
The
pool
looks
nice,
however
it
was
not
open
when
we
were
there.
I
think
that
the
staff
goes
above
and
beyond
for
their
guests,
but
the
sad
appearance
and
condition
of
the
rooms
will
lead
me
in
a
different
direction
when
I
book
a
stay
in
the
greater
Laurel
area
in
the
future.
