Really a great room for the price! Fantastic customer service as well! I only had minor complaints about things, but as for the location, it's mainly the fact that the only entrance can easily be missed. It looked as though you could get in from the nearby gas station/shopping center, and unfortunately you have to make a u-turn to get back to the entrance. Note that this entrance issue was primarily due to a very strong snow storm that came through (MLK Jr day 2024), and the roads were extremely dangerous without snow tires, salt or a plow.

The pictures are deceiving. I came to MD on business. The reception desk: had bullet proof glass. The furniture was broken. The towels looked clean, but had the white fluff coming out them. Which leads me to assume that they got new towels and did not wash them. There was a desk chair that I couldn’t even touch. I pretty much kept to a corner I thought was clean because the area felt so unsafe. I didn’t even bother to go get a room change at the reception. The door to the room was so thin: you could hear everything outside. So music, racing cars, even people talking at a decent volume, could be heard.

Everything in the hotel was good, and the fare was rather reasonable and economical. But the neighborhood was a problem, some guests and visitors smoked on the balcony and the walkway, and simultaneously some guys were playing loud music in the parking lot at midnight. Be careful!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a trip to the Silver Spring area because of a concert and had a great experience while here. We had a very nice, that was a very good size and it was clean and comfortable. I love that red roof, at least all of the ones I’ve been too including this one, is always in close proximity to food restaurants as well as other stores which I love because it give you options of places to go without having to go too far.

While I understand that Red Roof Inn is a basic and budget-friendly hotel, there are a few areas where improvements are needed. Firstly, the hotel only provided us with one key for the room, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the staff's attitude became noticeably unpleasant whenever we had any inquiries. We were aware of the check-out time provided by the front desk, which was 11:15 am. However, to our surprise, we had a maid knocking on our door insisting that we needed to vacate the room by 11 am. This was somewhat confusing, as in my extensive travels, I have never encountered such a strict check-out policy in any other hotel, regardless of their price range. Typically, hotels allow until around 11:30 am for check-out. Although we had started loading our belongings into the car, we did not approach the front desk to clarify the matter. During this time, the hotel staff continuously called my boyfriend's phone and the room phone until we addressed the issue. In summary, while the Red Roof Inn offers affordable rates, it is lacking in efficiency and customer service when compared to other hotels, both budget-friendly and luxurious. I hope that the hotel management takes note of these issues and works towards improving their services for the satisfaction of their guests.

The rooms are nasty. The pillows are pilling, the ceiling looks like it’s about to cave in, the lamp has odd stains and dents on the shade, both of the towels they had initially provided had curly hair in them so we asked for extra towels and one of the extra ALSO had curly hair in it. We ended up having ONE clean towel. The bathroom in general was atrocious(see pictures.)The floor has a weird red stain. And the worst part is there’s an inconsistent stench that comes from the bathroom in waves. Like it will be there and go away then 10 mins later come back for a minute and go away again. You can really only smell it when you’re in the bathroom or in the bed next to the bathroom. To be fair, it is a cheap price so you get what you pay for but I made this review because I feel like a lot of them are misleading. Maybe we got a bad room but this is nasty. Thankfully we are only staying here for one night.

Rooms are small smell like smoke even thougt its "100% smoke free" building Not sound proof can hear everying bumping music at 2am. Trash everywhere. Pealing paint, mold, broken elctric plugs. NOT true pricing off Google, plan to pay double with AN ADDITIONAL 50$ deposit 3 to 5 days for a charge back.

What a surprise to get a good stay here. I hope Red Roof takes note and has all rooms this great so everyone has a great experience. Checked in late at 130am on a Friday and Front Desk staff quickly efficieny check me in and even was able to accommodate a ground level request. Room 121 was perfect! No flies or critters anywhere. Clean floors, bathroom, tub and toilet. Linen and bedding were clean and stain-free. Smoke-free too which is a rarity for budget hotels these days. Price made it a great value. Good location too Only confusion was operating the heating and ac unit. The unit didnt stay on when plugged into the wall, and had a old school wall switch too, so no idea if it was controlled from the wall or the small in room unit. Room was room temp so I was fine anyway

First time around Maryland and decided to stay at Red Roof since it was the closest hotel to my sisters house. I was helped by Ruth & Antonio at the front desk and they were EXCELLENT. Explained everything to me and were the kindest people ever. I can say I will be coming back to stay at Red Roof whenever I visit my sister. Excellent customer service. 10/10. Ruth and Antonio, you guys are awesome

Pretty standard motel vibes. Felt safe, room was a little dirty but still comfortable. Price was honestly a little high though considering the quality, but maybe that was just the days I was traveling

Not sure how this place got any stars. First it’s a sketch neighborhood/environment. When we pulled up there was a man half passed out outside. We tried to leave but they wouldn’t refund (not holding a grudge on that). The room itself was ok except it was the worst mattress I’ve ever encountered. The bad here is the environment. At 7am someone was blasting music from their car and woke us up. Lots of people smoking. Just want to warn people- if you’re thinking red roof inn that’s probably good- it ain’t.

In a family emergency, I paid for my husband to stay at this hotel. The hotel took full payment up front, but when he got to the hotel, during a time of duress, they were unable to honor the reservation AND WOULDN'T GIVE US A REFUND. Will drive 100 miles out of the way NO MATTER WHAT than ever give them a 2nd chance. You pay for no room and bad attitudes. Should be able to give negative stars.
