We stayed for one night. There were bugs in our beds, and dirt under the covers. The shower would not stay closed and there was no soap. I do not recommend staying at this hotel

For $79.79 a night it’s a bit overpriced since the bedding was stained & itchy, really slow WIFI and the toilet looked raggedy. However the room did stay cold even when I turned off the AC and they had a big mirror with great lighting for doing makeup & the Tv worked fine.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Saturday around 10pm (10/21/23) the man at the front desk was extremely aggressive and disrespectful. My parents speak broken English (as did the man at the front desk) and instead of taking his time and working through the reservation with them he decided to tell them to take their business elsewhere and they could not book at this establishment, when I said I would reserve online for them he said no he would cancel any reservations in our last name. Discriminating against someone just because of their race/ethnicity is not okay and if that's the attitude he's going to have he should not work in hospitality. If you're in the area, America's best value inn(about 5 mins from motel 6) was around the same price and the staff was very kind and helpful.

If you're looking for the bare minimum cheap stay, I suppose I could say this fits 2-star criteria. However, I had a really negative experience during my stay that lead to me writing this review. I was staying with my two pets (dog + cat) and stepped out to my car to grab some of my things and came back to my door lock not working. At first I believed this was due to the key becoming magnetized or something like that, but it turns out it was the lock itself that needed to be reset. The front desk worker did not know how to do this himself, despite having a device and print-out instructions, and he would not allow me to assist with working through the instructions together (started around 8pm). I was given a key to another room and was told that they maintenance person had been contacted, but I was given no time estimate for when he might arrive to get me into the room. After 3 hours of repeatedly checking-in with the desk worker (much to his annoyance), it was past 11pm, and I was told that he was not sure if the maintenance person would be making it tonight (as he had not heard back). I tried to be helpful and problem-solve if someone else could come to help, and he raised his voice at me and told me "I've done all I can and gave you another room" as if that solved the problem. I decide to go nuclear and contacted the fire department to help break open the door so that I could get access to my pets and belongings and leave (like how can you have no way to gain access to the door). Ironically, as the fire department was arriving and the desk worker was yelling at me, an off-duty desk worked finally arrived (not the actual maintenance person) and was able to get access to the door using the same device and print-out instructions the original worker did not know how to use (the fire department did not have to break open the door). Out of pure exhaustion, I stayed the night and paid for it, but then I left the next morning and cancelled my remaining nights with a refund for those nights. I cannot fathom that this worker's expectations were for me to stay in the room next door with none of my belongings and my pets trapped in the room. On top of this horrible experience, I was woken at 6am the next morning to a woman sobbing outside of my door for over 20 minutes, as well as being woken by other noises from loud music and car alarms throughout the night. I stayed here because I saw a 3.6 rating and thought it would be an okay experience, but it was not a good experience for me. Would not recommend.

The front desk service is terrible, really, really terrible. Room service is good. Room is good, except the shower that you'll need to lower your head to wash it.

I drive a 26' box truck and I had plenty of room to park and safely go around the entire building. Service was good, front desk Clerk was friendly and the room was clean, smelled good and there were plenty of linens. No loud noises or disturbing guests either. I'll be back if ever in the area again

I enjoy staying at this motel. The price is affordable and their room are so much better compare to other motel I have been in. There is also a black cat who I love to spend a lot of time with. However, I notice they don’t clean the room very throughly.

You should know what to expect when you stay at a Motel 6. Room and beds were fine. Check-in was fine. No issues with anyone else staying in the hotel. For the price, it's a perfect pitstop on your road trip. Pet friendly is the #1 reason we stay at Motel 6s and we appreciate that.

They stepped up there game. The room was extra clean and neat. But the price could have been a little bit less for seniors 🤔🤨😞

I only asked for one thing. QUIET. This must have angered them because they put me in room 101. RIGHT NEXT TO THE OFFICE. Shouted conversations and slamming doors all night. No fridge, microwave, coffee maker, shampoo or conditioner. Did I really need any of these things? No but I DID need sleep!

My room has severe water damage to the flooring and baseboards, the floor of the shower was cracked and brown and the shower door did not latch. The room had a sickly chemical smell. This was what I discovered *after* my check-in was delayed because the credit card reader had trouble with Master Card and I was told that I had to go get cash at the gas station down the street, where I was accosted by a local drunk who got angry with me when I ignored his come-on. It was not a good evening. I have stayed at some very nice Motel 6 in the past. This was not one of them.

Good cleaning service and quick responses aswell as decent rooms for a motel. Roaches seem to be a problem and the amenities are not all there, only certain rooms have a fridge or microwave and you have to search for them. There was no hot water during my stay here.

Pros: I am giving 4 stars on staff Kathleen, Jake and staff are amazing! Excellent customer service. I cant say enough how much great staff can make or break a hotel stay experience. Cons: you get what you pay for. Don't expect anything fancy but we felt safe.

Room was a bit worn and did not have a mini fridge, microwave or coffee (still using COVID reasoning for not having coffee available in the lobby.) This was a noisy property and you could hear other guests coming and going, their car horns when they use their remote keys to make sure the car is locked, and their conversations while standing within ten feet of the room doors. I guess the motel shouldn't be dinged for guests behavior but sleep was challenging at this property. On the flip side, the registration staff was friendly and efficient and there was a lighted grassy area for our dog to do his business.

Will put you through anything to get the money. Only Ms, Willey offered any assistance.,after she saw how sick I was. Dirty, cleaned my own room. I would not recommend coming to Motel 6.

We checked in at 5 PM. Our original room was not clean and the HVAC cover was off the unit and on the floor. When we went to the front desk to ask for cleaning and repair, we were told that the cleaning staff were all gone by 3:30 PM but that they would move us to a different room because of the HVAC. We had to haul our stuff out of the first room and up the stairs to the second. That room was not much cleaner but at least the HVAC was in one piece. Knowing that there would be no help with cleaning based on our earlier complaint, we just went out and bought a mop, broom, and cleaners so we could clean the floor and sanitize the switches, etc. Not what we were expecting to be doing with our evening.

I was not informed when I walked in to rent a room that they actually had ones with mini fridges and microwaves available. The water in the shower fluctuates horrendously and the manager is extremely rude. The rest of the front desk staff is nice which is the only saving grace of this place. As single mom, I needed a mini fridge and microwave. What ever happened to hotels having all the rooms being the same and staff not informing customers of the fact that different amenities are in different rooms.

For the price Motel 6 is perfect. They have a area for dogs. I'm here recovering from surgery so I dont expect a lot. It's fairly clean and decent. Has plenty of food choices

The ignorant lady Kathy at the front desk charged my card took my money and told me everything was good. Went up to my room and got a call from Kathy saying I need to leave the room because the payment never went through. I called Bank of America and told them my issue just for them to tell me that my card was never declined obviously because the money came out of my account. They kicked my gf and I out in the freezing cold after they took my money. It took me 4 days to get my money back from my bank. Tbh I don’t think they accept interracial couples. My gf and I were treated like trash and it’s sad we still get treated like this in 2022. I don’t recommend anyone to stay here.

Jake was an excellent front desk! He made sure everything was nice and ready for our stay and broke down the price and worked with us to find the best option for our stay!

It was awful. I will never stay at this and perhaps any other Motel 6 again. The room smelt like smoke. Hairs were in the shower. Top covers were dirty. The lights and tv were already on before I even entered my room. The absolute worst room I've ever been in.

I come here many times because of the people that work here... Ms Kathy at the front desk is the most pleasant person you every want to meet.. unfortunately I didn't get the guy name that works at night but he is nice. The WiFi is on point the noise level is great. I love coming here it is in a nice area and plenty of stores to go to Really enjoy it here.

Good price for the stay. Close to my later destination. Bed was comfortable enough spring mattress. Freezer worked well. Unfortunately was awakened by loud music and guests. Hotel accommodating to my pets. :) Ample room to walk dogs around the hotel and on a hill. Lower floor was appreciated.

#Clean Room Friendly Staff ! Worth the extra few miles from Fort Meade Motel 6 Thank you Motel 6 for a great room at a great price. Everything is in good order, and a friendly staff willing to assist. Kudos for giving my family and I a place to rest and regroup after a long trip. Thank you.

😠 If I could give 0 stars I would! I went to check in a family member who is a young black male and he was discriminated against. Upon arrival the inn clerk thought that I would be using my name to check him in and told me that room would be $80. Once I told him that my family member would be checking...
