Horrible. Toilet wouldn't flush. Sink wouldnt drain. Trip hazard in room. Even a cup of coffee was priced. No refrigerator or microwave in room. 2 bottles of water in room..with notation that cost was $2 each. $125. A night plus tax. No breakfast ..not even a coffee. Just so sad that Double Tree has sunk this low..it used to be one of the best

The 4 and 5 star ratings here are misleading. If you’ve got points to use, sure, but this place is not worth a price more than $100-150. I’ll start with the good: The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable (very much on the softer side), and the bathroom was designed well (shower only, no tub, nice tiles). Free parking, which is always nice. What could use some improvement: For ~$200+ a night WITHOUT complimentary breakfast, we were a bit shocked at the state of the rooms. Once upon a time this must’ve been a nice hotel, but now the walls + ceilings are peeling and there were signs of leaking. Cabinets and rug were dirty, so definitely bring slippers because the rooms didn’t have any. Even though our room (two queen beds) was reserved for 3 adults, there were only two towels and one small bar of soap. Finally, no fridge and microwave. Two stars for the room and a bonus star for the kind staff, who were very accommodating and quick when we decided to check out early.

Clean room. Nice spacious lobby and adjoining area. Front desk staff seemed a bit stern. Didn't get the warm welcome vibes we're used to at other hotels. Room was old; no USB chargers. Very bad lighting for makeup. There was an electric mirror on vanity but didn't light up. Bathroom otherwise looked newly renovated with a nice walk-in shower. Fitted sheet on one bed had a hole. Mentioned it just so they don't re-use. They offered new sheet which I didn't accept as waste of time and resources, but none of the two front desk people I mentioned this to offered an apology. No major issues...can stay again if needed and don't find better price at compatible hotel.

First time leaving a Google review if that means anything but I should have listened to the recent low reviews. While the beds were comfortable, and the hotel was close to 95, those are about the only redeeming qualities. Had to wait for someone to be at the front desk, and once greeted I was met with little to no welcome or information. Run down hotel, overflowing garbage pails, carpets needing vacuuming, no luggage carts available upon arrival nor departure, and lastly one of our two rooms had a faint smell of urine. Lovely

It is nice and clean everyone I encountered was nice. I do wish they had taller toilets they are low for me in the rooms (not good when you have bad knees lol) but the stay was very good atmosphere was good.

Front desk staff was nice and inner hotel seems nice and clean. My particular room was located outside the property with a outdoor access to the room. The only nice thing about the room was the bed (it was comfy) and the AC, though loud. Hot water took forever to come on. Dead spiders and cob webs on the wall and ceiling. The towels were dingy and looked old. Main Light switch in room did not work. Nice quiet area. Unless I had an indoor room I wouldn’t stay here again.

Room clean and spacious but a bit stuffy as windows don't open. Nice shower room. Breakfast staff kind and obliging. All staff courteous and welcoming. Room cleaning only after three days. Rather dark and dull inside. Previous on site restaurant was a good seafood place, now a Peruvian style of cuisine...ok. Hotel serves its purpose but not madly enticing...some fresh flowers in public areas would have been nice.

My mother booked this property for me so I could stay to attend a funeral. We called prior before leaving to make sure everything would go smooth, a fridge and microwave was needed because I have a infant. I traveled here with 3 children after arriving the employee that checked me in was extremely rude. He told me I couldnt check in because i didnt have my moms card ( she paid for the room) instead of helping me figure out how to get checked in he screamed at me and was very rude. I ended up rebooking with my own card and he was upset i got the room and a cheaper rate and proceeded to tell me i couldnt check into the room. This had to be a terrible experience for me and my family. On top of that they didnt even have clean comforters, I had no energy to complain to management as my father just passed away. I wouldnt rebook this hotel even for $75 a month. I dont know if i will ever stay at the double tree again . This one was awful.

Ridiculously unsanitary and unsafe! Check in and check out in 30 minutes! Double bed room with hair on both beds. Dirty bed linen. One bed had body fluid stains in the bed. Towel holder fell off the wall. Toilet overflow from the tank! Nasty, nasty, nasty carpet. Water stains on the ceiling with paint falling off. Just disgusting!!

Not even close to what I was expecting. The dude working the front desk seem to have an attitude any time you spoke to him. You could catch him often times hanging out on the couch in the lounge watching TV. The pictures for the rooms from the website were extremely deceiving. Definitely not what I was expecting. They were outdated. The room did not have a refrigerator. The majority of the power outlets in the room did not work. We didn’t have a “Do not disturb” sign. When we asked for one, we were told that we would have to wait because they didn’t have any extra. The hotel binder that comes inside the room was completely destroyed, and the pages were just stuffed inside. I would never ever stay at this hotel again, even if it was the last one I could choose.

My wife and I travel frequently and we stayed at this hotel recently for five nights while visiting the area/family.  The location is very convenient to destinations in all directions and easy access to the major highway (95). Parking is right out front so no issue or charge. The greeting upon arrival was friendly and easy which is always appreciated.  Our room was clean and comfortable and elevator service was fairly prompt.  The room didn't have a mini-fridge or mwave which is unusual these days - it wasn't an issue for us but be aware if that is important to you.  The vanity area is separate from the toilet/shower which is helpful, but I would recommend a brighter light in that space. This is an older property but well maintained so doesn't feel old. However the vanity sinks and toilets are at the lower height so if that is an issue for you due to age or mobility challenges be aware.  The hotel breakfast was outstanding each morning and made for a great start to the day.  Amenities such as snacks and drinks were available in the lobby. The most impressive thing about the hotel was that everyone you met that worked here was pleasant and friendly and asked how they could  be of service.... this is something missing in most hotels anymore.  For this reason and the breakfast we will rate the property as five stars (I would rate 4.5 if that was feasible).

My stay was fantastic! My room was everything promised, Covid 19 was no where to be found everything was cleaned wiped down an covered like it was supposed to be to assure protection! Mr Banks was who they needed at the front desk I recommend him to be a GM to make sure everyone is up.to the Hilton name!! Thanks for completing my mini vacation 😁🥰

Stayed here for work. I’m in the area often so I became a Hilton honors member with the hotel credit card. I enjoyed the bar and the food. However, after working long hours, I had some groceries and necessities delivered because I wasn’t able to go after work. My groceries were delivered. However, after delivery, they were stolen outside my door. This hotel did absolutely NOTHING about it. I called and called and was given the run around every single time. So, if you want to stay in a hotel who promises to do something about a theft inside their own walls and doesn’t do a single thing, you may consider this place. I refuse to stay here again.

They were courteous and very helpful. They accommodated my request for a first floor room. My original review was 5 stars but I checked my cc and found another charge of $4 I called to find the bottle water marked as complimentary was only complimentary for gold members. Very deceptive.

Cons: 1. Our drain was clogged. 2. The wall next to the bed was damaged and moved if touched. 3. Breakfast at hotel wasn't the best. 4. There was trash in our room under a chair and under beds from who-knows how long ago. 5. There was a brown stain on one of the beds that was there when we arrived. Pros: 1. There were no bugs crawling around the room. That we saw, at least. 2. We were gone for most of the day, but when we were at the hotel, the staff worked quickly and efficiently. 3. Beds were not uncomfortable.

Nice location and easy to access the interstate. Breakfast buffet was okay, but not worth the price if you're not a heavy eater. Location was well lit and secure. Building was very clean both inside and out. Staff was very helpful.

The hotel can be described as dingy. Needs new paint, new floors, NEW TOILET SEATS, new drywall, new shower grout. etc. Luckily I am only staying in the room till 5am but if I would’ve booked two nights, I would’ve immediately cancelled the second night. For $160 a night, I expected more. The bed was soft and the pillows were comfy. The staff was nice. Everything else needs to be thrown away or bleached. A replacement toilet seat is about $20 if you’re being cheap. The audacity for breakfast to not be included is a little crazy when this hotel hasn’t been upgraded in a while. I should’ve spent $40 more and stayed at home2suites. That hotel is immaculate. I will never stay here again.

This hotel is a little old but well maintained and kept up-to-date. From the time I walk into the hotel I was greeted by (Natosha) the manager. She was very pleasant and warming at the first instant contact. She is the best. Thank you so much..

  • 3/5 Kim & S. 2 years ago on Google
The manager on duty was very nice and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. I gave this place 3 stars because the carpet was dingy and the water would not go down fast enough in the sink and shower. After getting a few hours of sleep, we left and went to another hotel. We would probably never stay here again.

The staff was great! So kind , professional and quick to get us checked in. The room was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The kiddos loved the warm cookies and brought a smile to their face! Thanks 😊

Tired gym equipment with bad screens, peleton bike doesn’t connect, thermostat in room needed battery replacement. Restaurant was fine if you like meat Mexican, but otherwise little to eat. Overall blah hotel with no pool and tired bathrooms as well. Needs major refresh. But again blah not terrible.

The bathroom could have been more clean in my opinion. Water stains in ceiling, signs of rust, grout dirty. Other than, no issues. Staff is amazing.

This was a very old hotel but it was clean and the front desk person was nice enough. There was no mention of the infamous Doubletree cookies and no hint of them anywhere to be found. Digital check-in was easy and I still got a key from the front desk later. I was on the 6th floor in a king room. The bathroom and bed were clean and I had plenty of towels for one person. They served breakfast on the 1st floor for $13/14 but I am not a morning eater so I skipped it.

Shower was nice, bed and pillows too. But the phone didn’t work and the menu for room services dinner was ripped out. TV doesn’t stream only cable. Front desk is competent however when my girlfriend checked in she was excited for the cookies having seen them offered to the person in front of her and then when it was her turn she was not offered any. Cookies are cookies but if you’re going to be selective about who you offer them to then don’t supply any. Close to the highway and Mexican restaurant connected to the hotel.

This chain is the worst one I have experienced so far. It seemed outdated and there were multiple disturbances. I heard at least one person practicing what sounded like a Baritone, the adjoining restaurant had a Mariachi band playing from about 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. I actually stayed there as a getaway experience for peace and quiet. I’m not racist. I’m black myself but the black guy at the desk was not there when I came in the door. I stood there for a minute. He came to the desk with almost no expression on his face, he acted as if he didn’t want to be there, and his customer service skills were unprofessional including his dress attire. In my room I had to call about two times and he sounded annoyed and the second time he practically hung up on me near the end of the call. They also didn’t have the correct remote for TVs that have HDMI connections. I had to ask for one. The curtains don’t even close all the way to block out unwanted sunlight, you have to share a microwave with others down the hall, there is a radiator looking AC unit by the window, and the sliding glass door to the shower doesn’t make up for any of this. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this non peaceful hotel (my experience). I’m so glad so many other people had wonderful experiences. I guess I went at the wrong time and it mattered to me more that it seemed outdated.

The service was impeccable- kind, friendly, professional staff. The food in the patio for dinner was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Hotel is dated, and we asked twice to have a fridge in our room, which was never delivered, so my Baby milk went bad. Only issues. All else was fine.

We checked in on a Friday evening and there was a queue. However, there was only one person to check everyone in. The beds in the room were comfy, but there could could definitely be some improvements. There was a pungent smell when water was draining in the shower. The atrium cafe staff were pleasant and helpful. If you are looking for a view then this might not be the place for you as most rooms overlook the nearby water treatment facility ( did not smell bad though). We struggled with the loud music blaring from the event happening in the lounge area which dragged on till close to midnight. When we asked the staff about it they said they were helpless. The hotel is located conveniently on 198, 2 minutes from I-95. The Tex mex restaurant at the site is convenient.

The beds were comfortable- and you have the choice to pick your room with an outside entrance. If you’re trying to keep food cold bring a cooler- as there are no refrigerators in the room. The staff were wonderful. I’d come back again.

This is an old property and needs renovating. My room smelled like a wet smelly dog. The shower didn’t drain. Bed was too soft and room temperature control was hard to manage. I would not stay here again.

Booked last minute, and liked the stay so much that I booked another night as well. The rooms are small but comfortable, the King bed huge for 2 ppl. Breakfast was overpriced at $15/person, however, I am a gold member so it was free for us. Parking is no hassle at all. Lastly, customer service is excellent. Forget my cell phone in the hotel room upon checkout, they kept it aside for me so that I could come later and retrieve it. Nice hotel, highly recommend it!

Some drawers in the suite were broken and rigged to stay shut and not fall down. And seriously, no coffee station at the front desk? Not even for sale? And the microwave under the mini fridge, under the tv? Had to crawl on the floor to microwave my food! Lol! But otherwise, very enjoyable!

My wife and I was visiting family in friends, less than 5 miles away, on 5/28/22. Location was perfect. We were greeted as soon as we walk towards the front desk,by a gentleman. I think his last name was Smith. He had a awesome personality, very professional & knowledgeable of the hotel and surrounding area. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The king size Mattress was awesome. Oh, what a goodnight rest we had, did wonders for the back. We only stay one night, but we enjoyed the breakfast, weight room and the peaceful atmosphere. Yes, The COOKIES was hot and delicious. The only thing was missing in the room(425) was a refrigerator, but other than that. All was well.

This is my problem with this Double Tree. I like the Double Tree brand, and this is not the worst Double Tree that I have ever stayed in, but I haven't stayed at all of the Double Tree locations. I stayed at this location 2 separate times the first time there were a few minor things that needed to be repaired in my room. It took 4 days for someone to fix the very minor problems. The second time, I again had some minor maintenance problems in another room. This location doesn't maintain the hotel well at all

I found a bedbug in my room on night 3 of my stay and hotel response was to deny it was a bedbug. I had to argue to get moved into a new room late at night because they were fully booked. I trapped the bug on the bedside table but the cleaning guy just came and squashed it. Its worrying staff could not identify a bedbug and didn't treat it with the urgency and care it requires. They were only somewhat accommodating by drying my clothes but was still left on my own for my bags, shoes ect and treated everything with chemicals when I got home. No response from the hotel via official complaint channels. Otherwise, hotel was ok.

Very clean, safe, and friendly place to stay. Rooms were quite and beds were comfortable allowed for easy rest every night. Finally, I wanted to mention Paul, who is a hotel employee (maintenance crew i think) that went out of his way to assist me during my visit. I appreciate Paul and the hotel staff for making my stay a great one, thanks again!

Best staff ever! If you are in Laurel VA and need a place to stay that has an amazing staff, this is the place to be! The rooms are clean and housekeeping does a great job of making the beds and delivering towels each day. Breakfast is on point and I can’t say enough great things about the staff. Checkout is easy and everything was accommodating! Top Notch Five Stars Excellent Quality

Fantastic!! Clean spacious rooms with a staff that goes out of they're way to accommodate! Hearty breakfast served with a variety of foods every morning. Ample parking for cars and groups traveling by motor coach. Can also accommodate multiple groups. On site work out area clean but could use a rack of dumbbells to supplement weights. Easy access to 95 with shopping nearby. Will definitely recommend.

I was greeted as soon as I came in and the staff was very friendly. Definitely got 3 warm cookies for the family and all questions were answered. The room was clean and the food, definitely the breakfast was very good. I have zero complaints and I definitely will stay here again.

This hotel is fine. It was probably the bell of the ball at one time but is no longer. If you are expecting full service Double Tree don’t stay here. Not a great value either. Nothing is complimentary to include breakfast at $15. Rooms are clean, staff is fine. A good one night business hotel.

I had a celebration of life event and the staff was exceptional. They met all my needs and more. They were thoughtful and extremely accommodating. The food for the event was great. All staff members I encountered were great but special recognition for Shayla and Bartolo the event coordinators, Eric and Natasha the front desk and the breakfast staff. I would like to also recognize Gabriel in the LaCurva Bar and Grill. My room was clean and comfortable. The location was great.
