If I could give 0 stars I would! I went to check in a family member who is a young black male and he was discriminated against. Upon arrival the inn clerk thought that I would be using my name to check him in and told me that room would be $80. Once I told him that my family member would be checking hisself in, the inn clerk said that he needed to pay a security. So I asked him, what is the difference between him and me? Why are you charging him a security deposit and not me? He stated, that management allows him to use his own personal discretion of who to charge a security deposit and who not to, along with many answers that never answered my question as I asked him repeatedly. We ended up leaving because I refuse to do business with any business that is bias and blatantly discriminates. The situation was highly disappointing and offensive!

Don't let the outside look of the place fool you. This hotel is clean, updated rooms are as nice as a Holiday Inn and cheaper price than a Holiday Inn. The room was very hot when I first entered, but i turned on the A/C and it cooled it down within a few minutes. Clean bathroom, clean bed sheets and the room was in great shape. The only downside was the shower door wouldn't stop sliding open. Unfortunately the County where the hotel is located doesn't allow microwaves in the rooms, there is a microwave near the front lobby.

Front desk employee was a very nice man but... 1. I'm a disabled veteran with a service dog and the Manager Mr. Mike demanded a certificate for my service dog which is non-compliant w federal law. Despite informing the front desk employee that I am well aware of my rights as a disabled veteran, I was rebuked by him and the manager and was demanded to show ID of the dog and they took a copy despite my telling them that their request was in violation of the American Disabilities Act. "Do service animals have to wear a vest or patch or special harness identifying them as service animals? A. No. The ADA does not require service animals to wear a vest, ID tag, or specific harness." 2. I had to argue with the front desk because he wanted to put a sign on my hotel room door to label that I had a service dog. I had to explain to him the proposition is discrimination and he made me explain how. Why is it anyone's business that I have a medical issue? 3. Someone needs to train management on Federal Laws regarding service dogs. I informed the front desk they are allowed to ask one question and one question ONLY - what services does the dog perform? But I was rebuked and they demanded to see ID and take a photocopy no less. 4. The check in process took way too long as a result of this lack of training - not on the newly hired front desk guy, but his manager making up policies on the fly that violate my rights. 5. As a veteran, I'm disgusted that in Washington DC with all the vets around here that no one knows how to deal with a wounded combat veteran with a service dog lawfully and treat that vet with respect. 6. A photocopy of my driver's license was taken which I haven't had happen at a hotel since the 1990's. This, in my opinion was totally discriminatory. Someone should remind these people they are in the hospitality business and part of hospitality is making your guests feel welcome. If I didn't roll in at 1am, I would've just rolled out to another hotel. What a disaster! As for the room - who cares, already ruined my stay! This was a horrible check in experience.

Overall a calm .. quiet experience.. I'd stay longer if the weekly rates were what I'm used to .. I will recommend and be back. Rooms are upgraded... No sign of bugs . Staff are pleasant.. security on site.. no signs of suspicious activity.. my kind of place to stay

We stayed in a clean, newly renovated room. In spite of it being a holiday weekend, our stay was quiet and peaceful. Hotel staff were accomidating, kind, and truly went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We look forward to coming back again in the future!

Complete jerks work the front desk! Hang up on you while you're speaking to them, even if you are not yelling or being rude to them. I was totally astounded by their lack of customer service. Would bever recommend! I honestly wish i could leave a negative star review, because the customers are the reason they have a job! the only reason any hotel or motel is in business, is because of people! Absolutely horrible employee on the night shift!

The customer service is outstanding. I needed fast internet for work and the manager was very accommodating to what room he placed me in so the internet was faster. I was staying for 10+ days and requested a larger fridge in the room and he swapped the little one I had out for a slightly larger one. The place looks a little rough on the outside but they are working on that. The inside and the rooms are completely renovated. The beds are comfortable and the showers are nice.

I am highly satisfied with Red Crown Inn. Their staff were very helpful throughout the many times I stayed with them. This Inn is very quiet, and the rooms are newly renovated and spacious. It had everything I needed for the many weeks that I stayed. I would recommend this Inn to my friends and family. The owners went beyond the call of duty to make me feel comfortable. Thank you so much!

Please don't let the overnight front desk clerk fool you as he is the owner. He is a complete jerk. This is the worst customer service I have ever experience. I have never experience harassments at this level. He follows you on camera as you come and go. Checkout is at 11am, if you come and go, each time he's asking if you are checking out. If your ride come to pick you up he is harassing the driver, stating that they are not allowed on the premises. The owner/ overnight clerk is yelling and screaming at you as he chase your driver away. The rooms are updated but dirty. The flooring is uneven to the point you feel like you are going to fall. I would not allows friends, relatives, or my enemy stay at this place. The location is not well lit, very scary walking to and from your vehicle. Female be extremely careful as the parking has very little lighting. As I look at previous reviews/ complaints on the front desk clerk and how rude he is, the OWNER replies with apologies as if he is not the SAME person as the FRONT DESK CLERK. Very deceitful, PLEASE take your business somewhere else. There are multiple hotels close by.

The room was nice and it being indoors instead of outdoors like most motel’s was nice but that will be about all I can say when it comes to calling this place nice. I found this place through an ad in Facebook, I was quoted $350 weekly but was told upon arrival it’ll be $400 because my girlfriend was with me. It would have been nice to have been told this prior to arriving. That wasn’t too bad tho. The worst would probably be housekeeping, the individual who did house keeping was rude. She kept knocking and knocking loudly until one of us woke up. She took our no just fine the first time but come the next few days it’s now a DEMAND that they clean the room. She wasn’t kind and was pressuring me to allow her to fix up the bed when I already expressed it was fine. Finally before we decided to go stay at another motel we had some trouble paying for another week because we lost our only physical debit card. There wasn’t anything we could do because all they accept is cash. The lovely gentleman that works the Night Shift was kind enough to help us out as best he can but having no other forms of accepting payment really made things difficult. Wouldn’t stay here ever again.

I booked this hotel for the first month of my three month contract. Upon my arrival I’m advised no microwave in the rooms. There is a community microwave in the hall for guests(that’s new during pandemic) ok still checked in. No incense or candle burning in rooms either, no problem. Charged the full months stay upfront. During third week there about day 15 or so my hot water was out a few days. Healthcare worker here need hot shower after shift so for two days I had the pleasure of showering next door! Huge inconvenience but still I cooperated. So after commuting to and from work 16 miles about 30 minutes each way. I find a studio apartment 2.8 miles from work. Yay! I was supposed to checkout on 7/6 but instead I check out on 6/27 nine days early. I tell the owner I’m leaving early and he says “we have to charge you another night, for early cancellation” Are you kidding me?! I stayed twenty one days at this point more than half of my stay. I told Mike why are you charging me he says no refunds. Who’s asking for a refund, I just don’t want to pay for a room I’m not using anymore. Mind you he already charged full price I just wanted credit for nine days. He then says we’ll charge you $10 additional for leaving. $10?! You already made over a thousand dollars for these 21 days I’ve been here. I never once mentioned the water issue, community microwave idea, no clock radio, or telephone in the room. But for $56 what do you expect. I expected since I wasn’t paying daily or weekly and stayed longer than any of the other guests that was there; crediting me back nine nights wouldn’t be a problem. After our exchange Mike decided to refund me for nine nights plus $10 early cancellation. I was supposed to leave Sunday(27th) after he told me when I left for work 6am no one would be at the desk to give me the credit only him or his wife can do it. Ok I packed 🆙 Saturday night and left! So not only are you charging me $10 I would have to drive back here after work to get a credit, no thanks sir. I’ll leave now, give me my credit, I can get more for less. I thought being transparent about my early departure was helpful but clearly not. Studio apartment $1400 a month w/ microwave. $1738.17 for a month at Red Crown Inn.

This is definitely the best motel I ever been to. Mr Mike told me I will be convinced after one night stay and he was right. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much being a motel but it's a money well spent. Will definitely go back.

Even though the room is freshly painted, it still holds a debatable old style. The floor is uneven to say the least. The shower has new doors that leaks a lot of water. The mattress wasn’t confortable. Wi-fi is good!

Me and my fiancé were looking for a cheaper place to stay close to the Capitol due to work when we stumbled across the red crown motel. The pricing for one night was great for my budget as I didn’t have much.. from the outside of the location I wasn’t expecting to have a pleasant stay but even after arriving late at night mike was able to make me much more comfortable by upgrading my full size bed to a king size bed. The room was very spacious and up to date and the bedding smelled like fabric softener. It was a nice change from a regular hotel because of that alone, it gives an at home feeling. The bathroom was very nice with a beautiful shower that could fit both of us. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family! Thank you mike!

The room was nice & clean. The bathroom was pretty one of the best I've seen in awhile! But the guy that checked me in was really rude! An because of that I probably won't be back.

I never even stayed here. I had 3 reservations for a grouo of friends for a wedding. All under my name. And my card the attendant would not even take my reservation or conformation number. He had no interest in the fact i booked the rooms ahead of time. He instisted he need an id for every adult to stay in the room. One of our grouo is still waiting on their id from the state so he didnt have one. When he said he cant stay we said then cancel all 3 rooms and we dont want a charge for it. Because it was inconvenient. The room was not in his name so no need for an ID. He then said he would waive that rule. Insisted on the remaining IDs. And signature of everyone else. Which is still insane. I told him not to charge my card as by this time everything he said to us was disrespectful and with attitude. We were not going to be staying there at that point. He charged my card anyways. And threw down the IDS at us through the window. Had a complete attitude about everything. Will not reccomened or ever stay here again.

The rooms are nicer than the hallways. Great value and everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly too. Highly recommended.

Rude employee. Harassed us for not using cash. Made up a list of rules that were not on the rules sheet they gave us. Said we weren't allowed to use the back door despite that not being in the rules. Yelled at one of us for just being in the parking lot and threatened to call the police.
