My in-laws have been here for year and they love it. But i have to share my experience and warn people of what happened to me at Riderwood, during brunch at Fireside, Village Square. My family and I used the private room. And I the made the mistake to leave my bag. A couple of days later i called Riderwood and someone had turn in at frond desk. So my husband picked up. When he got home I found out that someone stole my wallet. This person, removed my driver license and credit cards and dumped inside the bag but remove the wallet (of value), my ATM card, and also the cash i had in it. Since then, I left messages with the head security person as well as the restaurant manager and they never called me back. It is terrible to think that seniors there are in a very vulnerable position and cant leave belongings unattended because the staff can steal from them and it is eve worse that management don't care to take action. Had i left my bag at union station, i would have not made a big deal about it. But THEFT at a private senior-residence community is unacceptable.

Zero stars if I could. I have attempted to call a family member/resident who lives here whom has expressed his concerns/issues with this living facility which we are currently investigating. I tried to call back on numerous times and my call would not go through. I used a different phone number and had no issue. Later I started to notice that I could no longer leave him voicemails and that the voicemail machine was directed to the front desk. I will SPARE this business what they have put him through and not embarrass them on the internet. I would NEVER NEVER send a loved one to this place. Have your wits about considering sending a loved one here or any senior living community.

I was an employee with Riderwood for five years. Last month I decided to start a new journey with a different company, upon my separation I was placed on quarantine. When asking HR the proper protocols for this quarantine and was not allowed to come my last days As an employee.I was told that due to me exiting the company they will not be following up for my quarantine. After continuing to question my HR representative, she reached out to employees health in order to verify the information I was providing as far as our current Covid policy. My information was correct. After hearing that information I was informed that the company is willing to test me but will not be paying for the time of my quarantine. Compared to arguing I decided it was best to continue with my new journey. After being with this company for five years and making a name for throughout the years with not only my coworkers but residents as well I am truly shocked at the the disrespect, neglect and Lack of integrity I’ve been receiving from individuals I thought we were originally assigned to assist me despite whatever I decide to do with my career. I won’t say all of it was bad but I will like to acknowledge my experience for Just putting my career first.

So I’m a chef that was trying to work for the retirement community that my mom lives in apparently I’m not good enough to work for them. I’ve donated over 1600 meals during the pandemic. Maybe my food was just to good. So if you’re looking for bland food send your loved ones here.

I have lived at Riderwood for over 16 years, having moved in when I was 68 years old. I love this place! I have a two bedroom patio apartment. I have lots of friends to socialize with and I love going to any one of the 8 dine-in venues on campus. In fact the best part of living here is that I don't have to cook dinner every night (but I can if I want to). I enjoy taking exercise classes and participating in the many volunteer opportunities we have here.

Riderwood offered everything we needed to make the transition to our new life style comfortable, exciting, and serene. We now have a comfortable life in a beautiful one-level home that includes excellent casual and luxurious dining, spiritual enrichment, and entertainment (cards, clubs, movies, plays, opera, lectures, gardening, classes, fitness, golf, etc., etc., etc.). The purchase price was in keeping with housing in our area; the move-in was well-assisted and easy; and the monthly costs are within our budget. Most importantly, we have met many interesting people and developed many new friendships. We feel our move to Riderwood was exactly the right thing to do, both for us and our children.

I used to be a worker there, let’s just put it like this, they’re hiring people to be in positions without any experience or knowledge. Most of the nurses treat the residents really bad. The food they serve residents is always same, they lose their clothes, the workers are mean to the residence. Also the workers are constantly on their phones and the managers are even worse. Just take a tour, guarantee you will see people on phones, and if you go to town center specifically, you gonna see That this is the worse place. Avoid employment or sending family members here.

Never ever give this place your address if you go look. My late in-laws toured about 30 years ago, and we STILL get mail from Riderwood asking them to come and tour. BTW, my in-laws would be 112 and 106 years old today.

Riderwood continues to charge resident accounts for meals & personal care after they have passed away. Basically, fraud.
