On
October
14th,
2023,
my
family
brought
our
two
dogs
to
the
PetCo
located
at
Burtonsville
for
their
scheduled
grooming
appointments.
Upon
arriving
for
our
appointment,
we
were
informed
that
the
groomer
had
been
injured
by
the
previous
dog.
We
asked
if
we
should
reschedule
for
another
day,
but
the
staff
took
our
dogs
back
for
their
appointments
anyway.
Thirty
minutes
later,
we
received
an
urgent
call
from
the
grooming
staff,
requesting
that
we
pick
up
our
dogs
immediately.
When
we
arrived,
our
dogs
had
received
none
of
the
requested
grooming
services.
Additionally,
Burtonsville
PetCo
made
no
attempt
to
reschedule
or
compensate
us
for
the
incomplete
and
botched
service.
One
week
later,
we
discovered
our
dogs
are
now
labeled
as
"aggressive"
in
PetCo's
system.
When
we
called
to
inquire
about
this
restriction
on
making
any
future
grooming
appointments,
we
were
repeatedly
put
on
endless
holds,
transferred,
and
eventually
disconnected
multiple
times.
It
was
clear
the
staff
had
no
intention
of
addressing
our
concerns.
After
reaching
out
to
PetCo's
corporate
headquarters
several
times
over
a
three
week
period,
we
finally
received
a
response
stating
our
dogs
were
now
"referred
out"
from
that
location.
No
explanation
was
provided.
When
we
were
finally
able
to
speak
with
the
Burtonsville's
store
manager,
she
bluntly
admitted
that
after
discussing
it
with
the
groomer,
they
decided
we
a
"terrible
owners"
and
purposefully
marked
our
dogs
as
aggressive
in
retaliation.
This
unprofessional
and
vindictive
behavior
from
Burtonsville
PetCo's
staff
is
completely
unacceptable.
