Great customer service and food and cookies were delicious. Nice atmosphere place. Today I went there with my friend, I will take my family next time.

My folks love this place. They took me and I decided to take a risk and order the liver & onions… It was FANTASTIC. It’s easy to overcook liver, but they nailed it… tender and flavorful (without any iron taste). It was topped with thick, crispy bacon and a generous portion size. These guys know how to cook and serve.

Food was good, friendly service and yummy desserts. I would say average restaurant and we would go back. Nice night out with a few friends. My wife loves the food here! This was my first time. My wife loves the Smoked Chicken Pasta Salad and the beer bread! I tried the buffalo wings, fries and buffalo fries. There was nothing special about the wing but they were still delicious and well cooked! The fries were good and the buffalo fries were really good. The sugar cookies are decent. Our server Nick was really good! He was professional, fun and informative.

OH MY GOSH. FIRST TIME TO HUG-HES IN SYRACUSE. Came in with the Corvette Club of Utah, and the waiter was FANTASTIC, you couldn't ask for a more efficient, customer friendly waiter. Where did he come from? And I think it was the owner/head honcho who greeted us, so friendly, so efficient. Wow! Okay, and the Turkey Club CANNOT BE BEAT. THE BEST TURKEY CLUB I'VE EVER EATEN. I even dreamt about it! And they give you complimentary bread that tastes like mama's home made bread. OH MY GOSH. And you should see the cookies! HOME MADE HUGE AND DELICIOUS. We bought one on the way out, and oh my gosh! OKAY, I'VE GOT TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO GET BACK NORTH. Our group eats monthly somewhere, and THIS WAS THE BEST RESTAURANT TO DATE! I am going to beg them to go back!

Most people who go here will enjoy the food and experience. The food feels fast casual. Maybe too casual. The food is typical American dinner food. Pasta, Salad, Soup, hamburgers. To me it feels too expensive for American dinning. Although the food is good and your party will enjoy their meal it doesn't stand out. The beer bread is delivered to each table, and is very tasty. However I wonder if it would be better if their menu was reduced, and elevated. There is a few items on the menu like the Philly cheese steak that is VERY small and lacked that philly goodness. Kind of a jack of all trades is a master of none.

I have lived in the area for 2 years and I decided to go in for a bite. When you hear cafe, you don’t think of a high class restaurant. But this place completely changed my mind. From the amazing customer service from McKenize to the top notch food. This place deserves more than 5 stars. I am amazed by the flavors and the homemade dressings. I will definitely come back to try more!

Shelby took great care of us and gave great recommendations. Portabello chicken was so tasty. The pasta salad was delicious and their poppy seed dressing was fantastic. We’ll be back. The strawberry spread on the bread…yum.

Abby helped me with my online order and was fabulous! She even helped me carry my order to my car! The food was delicious! We ordered 2 of the sweet canpeno chicken sandwich (One wrapped in lettuce and the other regular) and chicken strips. The sweet cranpeno sauce was just the right touch to take the sandwich up a notch. The chicken strips were perfect. You can't go wrong between the great service and great food!

We ordered chicken fried steak and fish and chips. They were fantastic. The chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy was cooked to perfection. The fish and chips were one of the best in town maybe in the State. We'll become one of our favorite restaurants. Our pictures were taken after we devoured half our meal. That's how good it was.

Great place to go for a tasty lunch or dinner with some very good clam chowder. Service is excellent. Sweet potato waffle fries were also very good. Fried cod was excellent and the dipping sauces with it complementary nicely. Worth a stop if you’re hungry. Prices are reasonable.

Came here for an early dinner around 3pm. We were seated about 7 to ten min. I ordered the the hot open turkey sandwich, it came with mashed potatoes and gravy, and broccoli. I wanted sweet potato waffle fries. Hubby got the fish and chips. Both were delicious recommend the hot turkey sandwich. Service was great our waitress awesome.

Nice little place. Food was fabulous and very clearly came to us right off the grill/oven/stove. Good portion size for the price. Staff was friendly and very accommodating of our toddler. Place was clean and visually pleasing. Nice outside patio area with lots of overhead cover. Service was a bit slow, but they seemed short staffed. Would definitely go again.

Our server Jackson was amazing. He was very attentive and took care of my son and I very well. He went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was enjoyable. My son even pointed out how awesome our server was!! Food was delicious and atmosphere was perfect for a little lunch date with my son.

This was my second time in there, and I had the same server as the first time. She was very pleasant and personable. The quality and quantity of the food was very good and the price was reasonable. The only downside was the construction all throughout the area, but the restaurant made up for it. Will definitely continue to go there.

I think I like this place. I've been here twice for lunch over the last week. It's close to my house and I may make this my new go-to spot but I'm not sure yet. I like the ambience. It's sleek, modern and comfortable inside. The huge cookies are a must try. The shoe string French fries are not shoe string at all. They are regular cut fries (weird). The drink menu is on the short side and both times, I had to ask for the drink menu (weird). I've tried the fish and chips and also the coconut shrimp. There was way too much breading on the cod. At first glance, it looks like big pieces of fish but it's really a little bit of fish inside a ton of breading. Coconut shrimp was jumbo but fried a little too hard. The veggies has a really good taste. Not unpleasant experiences and I will return.....

Hands down best catering we have found around! We have used them for the past 2 years for our Company Christmas Party! Just call the restaurant & place your catering order. They offer very large portions (their say they feed 30-40, but when ordering them as sides they really feed 70-80 depending on how many sides you order for your event), they definitely don’t skimp on meat like a lot of others do to save a buck. It’s very high quality, it all tastes lovely, everybody loved it and was so glad we went with Hugh Hess again this year! You can tell they stay true to their company philosophy from their beginnings and I’m grateful the Syracuse restaurant is out west. Thank you for helping our event go off so well! Please don’t ever change the ability to order by catering trays! This is why I also returned to you and love the flexibility that provides!

We were visiting family and had eaten here once before. This experience was quite a bit different in a bad way. The service was almost nonexistent after our drinks were dropped off. 2 of the drinks had odd flavor and we tried to find our server to order something else, but to no avail. Our food was delivered after a longer than expected wait. 2 people at our table ordered prime rib. Both were served the wrong temperature prime rib. 2 others had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, it was swimming in Alfredo sauce and was barely room temperature. All the food was room temperature except for the soup. I do highly recommend the Tomato soup and it is the reason I gave this review 3 stars. It was hot and delicious. If you dine here I suggest soup.

I got the coconut shrimp which I loved. Pasta salad side, clam chowder side. All good. The bread is always delicious. The reason I'm giving it four stars is. I bought a "big delicious looking chocolate chip cookies" and it only had five chocolate chips in it. I ate the part with the chips and I threw the rest away. Also they told me it would take 20 minutes from my order to be ready, (I got takeout.) When I got there to pay for my food, they didn't have the change for my order and I had to wait. My food was cold. Not my best experience there.

Nice place to eat. The chili was no beans and was excellent. The pasta salad was very good with the dressing added. The served us bread with strawberry butter for the table . It was tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Tables are a little odd for a group of 4 but they did bring a chair.

Not a bad place to eat. Nice clean atmosphere. Server was not aware of the change of a menu item. Put the wrong side for other parties meal. Fixed it right away. Food was hot and plentiful. Bread was very good. Had the pick your 3 : fried pickles, cheese curds, onion rings. Had the bbq sandwich with fries. (That was the mix up.) Mexican wrap and tomato soup. Sandwich was huge and very tasty. Soup had kick of heat. Very good. Probably try again. Not a bad first visit.
