Reposting again! Owner keeps deleting my review! My recent experience at CKO North Brunswick, co-owned by Matt, left much to be desired. Safety concerns, a lack of respect for different cultures, and poor cleanliness standards were evident. The gym appeared profit-driven, with excessive fees. Consider alternatives for a better fitness experience.

My friend, a certified coach with extensive experience, was a member of CKO Kickboxing a few years ago, and during that time, she attended multiple locations. She recently shared a factual review of her experience at CKO North Brunswick, co-owned by Matt. She highlighted several noteworthy issues. Firstly, the state of the kickboxing bags, especially during nighttime classes, was subpar. Blaming COVID-19 for this in 2023 seemed like an unjustified excuse, given that businesses can now file claims for their losses. Secondly, there were concerns about coaching techniques. Some coaches were seen on social media yelling and encouraging excessive effort, potentially risking injury, particularly in the final moments of a round. What's worth noting is that this co-owner appears very responsive, providing detailed responses, knowing that the issues raised are accurate. It's evident that they have the time and willingness to engage in lengthy discussions. Considering these factors, my friend suggests exploring alternatives like Mayweather Boxing Club, TITLE Boxing, or similar establishments for a safer and more effective training experience.

Cko North Brunswick is great! The instructors actually care to get to know you and they truly make class fun. Everyone is so welcoming here. The workouts are intense and I have yet to leave after a class not drenched in sweat and smiling ear to ear! I recommend it to everyone! 9/10/23 I'm editing this review because I canceled my membership in October 2022 with the owner and suddenly started getting charged monthly again (a higher amount even than I was paying when I was a member) in June 2023 and still cannot get resolution from CKO. I have a chain of emails where I am just ignored. No one is there to help me when I am in the area as my work hours are concurrent with their class schedule. It's a shame because I thought this was a great small business for the area and they have since proved me wrong.

I have serious concerns about this gym, particularly regarding its management and safety practices. I've observed instances that suggest discriminatory behavior towards certain ethnicities and religious beliefs, which is unacceptable. Additionally, there seems to be a focus on profit over ethics and client well-being. I've noticed a worrying number of injuries at this boxing facility, raising questions about its safety protocols. I also have doubts about the honesty of the information provided by the gym's owner. These issues are severe enough that I believe they warrant reporting to state authorities for a thorough investigation. Considering these concerns, it might be better to opt for a local gym and invest in your own boxing bag for a more satisfactory and safe training experience.

Going to CKO in North Brunswick has been a wonderful experience. The trainers keep you engaged and energized. Everyone looks so happy and welcoming and that makes me look forward going to the gym. Having EXCELLENT trainers and seeing friendly people make my trip to this gym worthwhile.

Joining CKO North Brunswick has made such an impact on my life. Everyone at this place is kind and treats you like family. So happy I decided to try this place out!

Excellent trainers who motivate you to give your all in every session! You can tell they all love what they do which makes the workouts effective and so fun, you won't even notice the time fly by! IMO, best full body workout without the gym intimidation.

I truly love this place. All the instructors are friendly and supportive. I’ve lost 7 pounds my first week, of course I changed my diet as well.

This place is awesome for getting a full body workout unlike your regular gym. The instructers are top notch as well and you will want to keep going back for more!

Always a great workout in each class with any of the instructor. Each of instructor have their own style and lots of varieties to focus on from cardio to build your strength and muscle, in addition is a great stress relieve.

Best CKO I’ve been a member of. Instructors are excellent and push you every time. Class times are plenty and with my schedule a late night class is a blessing. And you guys make it personal and fun! I’m glad I’m a NB member now :)

Amazing Trainers and amazing classes. Best place to see Real transformation. They Push you further than you think you could go (which you are capable of, in-fact) to reach your goals. They encourage you every minute you spend there. After i started training here, i feel i have more energy. I feel very light in my body and mind. I started feeling better about myself (For me this is the best Stress buster). I became stronger & stronger. This is one of my “Happy Place anytime. “NO EXUSES”. 🥊👍🏻

My favorite place to be! It feels like a second home and one big family. I know I always have a place I am welcome when I just need somewhere to go - everybody is there for me. The trainers are amazing and hardworking and are always pushing/helping me to improve too! So glad I joined CKO NB, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be!

Great place to get a killer workout! Growing up as a martial artist, I longed for the kicks and punches but did not want the martial art training and structure. CKO NB was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I truly appreciate how welcoming and warm the owner and instructors are, they are amazing and make you feel like family! They empower you and make you feel great about yourself! Special shout out to Zina who not only welcomes you ever single time you show up for class but greets you by NAME and a hug. I love this place!

Since never had background in kickboxing so this is great place to start and keep sharpening your skills. The coaches and trainers are excellent and have great patience in teaching you the moves. Special shout out to Carlos and Matt who were vital in teaching me and my wife!!

I loved going here! The people, ambiance, and workouts were all phenomenal. I felt motivated to go almost daily for over a year and everyone was always invested in my health and fitness. It was a great place to relieve stress and was very therapeutic and helpful :).

I would highly recommend this place to everyone I know. Everyone feels welcomed when walking in. There is nobody judging you. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The trainers and owners make you feel like family. They really have your best interest at heart and want to see everyone succeed with whatever goals they set forth. Most people surpass their original goals.

The instructors are fantastic! They care about all the participants in the room. The classes are energetic and challenging. You can go at your own fitness level while being inspired to go one step further. No matter what you choose to do, you feel like a rock star in the end! The facility is clean and comfortable. The results are undeniable!

This CKO is phenomenal. They are great at member engagement and the trainers are diverse and motivating. They have over 30 classes a week which I truly appreciate. Love it here!
