Our first dinner at this place Today .. I had seen a lot of reviews of people waiting long etc etc .. for us we got a table at our reserved time (observation: don’t think they ever note reservations as they don’t have a host/hostess desk :)) we were excited as food reviews were great .. we sat and got our wine bottle opened .. bread and olives came pretty fast.. very nice to see warm plates on a cold evening is welcoming. We ordered seafood appetizer from the special menu.. very tasty and well made .. our server said the dish would be spicy but it was absolutely NO Spice in it but still well made. May be our server was less informed . :) We ordered Salmon, pork chops and seafood pasta for main course. We were done with our appetizer and then the wait started ………… after 2 follow ups and 45 mins we finally got the main course but the appetite was Gone … the food was OK not bad but definitely NOT WORTH THE WAIT.. they definitely have a ‘LAZY KITCHEN’ and a poor service staff too because when we said we are not happy about the delay our server said I can’t do much about it “it’s the Kitchen”… even a simple apology did not come out for the delay till I said your owners will read my experience in my google review.. we had no choice but to box our meal as our appetite was killed We walked out without having a dessert.. Thanks to the liquor chocolates I have at home :)).. they were the saving grace .. I am sure if it was better weather and they are full capacity we would have waited till eternity for mediocre food.. (today they were 70% capacity) My take is this place has a higher hype than they truly deserve ..

La Cucina Nouveau is a true gem of a restaurant! Not only is the food some of the best you will ever have (we’re talking all homemade pastas, desserts, sausages) but the staff and owner/chef are amazing people! Salvina (owner) even went out of her way to cook up a fresh batch of chicken cutlets and fries for my kids the next day bc she missed them!! From the bread, to the apps (homemade roasted peppers that are to die for) to main courses that blow your mind, to desserts that are just stunning and simply delicious- the entire dining experience is a treasure ! We love it here and are so blessed to have them!

FANTASTIC! This restaurant is a gem! The owner is the chef, and those are the best restaurants to dine at. They have an extensive list of phenomenal specials to choose from. My favorites are the octopus, rice balls, burrata and fried eggplant tower, and any of the risottos. The chef here makes the best risottos I’ve ever had! For dinner I love the lobster oreganata, strip steak, scallops, and in general all the seafood specials! All the specials are FANTASTIC! All the prices here are very reasonable too! My favorite dessert here is the blueberry galettes with gelato. Tonight they also had a apple pound cake which I’ll have try next time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND dining at La Cucina Nouveau in Marlboro!

I love this restaurant. It is a small local BYOB with really good Italian food. I gave it 4 stars for the atmosphere because it is in a strip mall with windows open to the parking lot. Tonight, the baked clams and rice balls were very salty, as were a couple of other things, and the order of gluten-free pasta I took home was under cooked. I have been here before and will go back again, because generally, the food is perfect.

Had Dinner here with my girlfriend recently and it was a fantastic experience. The serving staff was very attentive and made sure we were looked after all night long. The owner is a wonderful lady who made sure to check on us throughout the night and was a blast to talk to. The food was delicious and on top of the regular menu there was a long list of specials read to us by our wonderful server Nina. Overall this was a very successful date night, I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be returning. A well deserved 5 stars.

I’ve been here before and was blown away by the food, service and atmosphere. Took a big party here with much fanfare for Mother’s Day dinner and walked out embarrassed and angry. Just feels like they’re not scaled out enough to accommodate big parties. Reservation made for 6:00pm, weeks in advance. Got here on time. Seated by 6:40. They brought out olives and butter. Bread 10 minutes later. 3 menus for 9 people although they did bring more in a few minutes. Server had a thuggish, arrogant attitude with us from the start. Did not make us feel welcomed. Like we were on some game show. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when one of our party who *hates* mashed potatoes specifically asked to sub for French fries. They brought out his fish on a heap of mashed potatoes. When we complained they basically said we can’t do anything about it but we’ll bring an “extra” side of fries for you. Sorry, what ??? Can’t do anything about it? What does that even mean? A restaurant that prides itself on personal service that puts on an act like that is not worthy of the ridiculous prices they charge for the privilege. Do better.

THIS IS NOT FINE DINING! I was so excited to try this place only to be treated with a level of disrespect I have never encountered at any restaurant in my life. I cannot even fathom how people are rating this place 5 stars. Maybe someone had a bad day. Heres 1 star for your attitude! P.s if your wondering, the food is definetly not worth the effort.

Been here a couple of times and absolutely loved it. We went a couple of weeks ago, early on a Saturday without reservations, and were immediately seated. They are very gracious here. This BYOB has a low-key vibe, a welcome change from other restaurants lit with stadium-bright lights! Guests were relaxed and enjoying themselves. The space is white table cloth ready, but never feels pretentious or stuffy. Perfect for a date, or a family celebration, but you won't feel out of place in a nice pair of jeans. The food is absolutely wonderful. The list of specials is almost as long as the main menu, so you will be sure to find something delicious. The portions are very generous (we always share!). It's a great dining experience from start to finish.

Again the food never disappoints, always fresh, always well presented. The waitstaff is so attentive and the owner Salvina runs a great restaurant. I have never eaten anything here that wasn’t good.

I don’t know where to even start! Salvina was generous enough to assist our high school reunion class with sponsoring an early Thanksgiving dinner for those in need. The food was phenomenal. Her servers were beyond terrific. The ambience was incomparable. Just so blessed to have met her, and been a part of her generosity.

We came here are a repast and they were fantastic! Elegant with great food, just the way I like it. I rarely order chicken cutlet however this was one of the best I've ever had. When I'm in Marlboro NJ, we'll definitely revisit!

Celebrated a birthday, party of 12. All received food at the same time, everything was on point. Great service, excellent food. Love the BYOB option.

A great dinner will definitely be back. We had a party of six and were seated very quickly. The wait staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu and specials. The food was very good.

I hosted a baby shower on 12/2 and it was such a wonderful experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for a private party. The owner Salvina is a joy to work with beginning in the planning stages to the day of event. The staff is so professional and accommodating and the food absolutely delicious. Our guests keep saying what a beautiful shower and being able to decorate the venue as we wanted was so helpful in fulfilling the Mom to be's vision. I highly recommend La Cucina Nouveau for a private party or just to enjoy an amazing dinner. Lisa S.

This past weekend I hosted my daughters baby shower at La Cucina Nouveau. Meeting with Salvina to book the party was a wonderful experience! Everything that was discussed was carried out on the day. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very accommodating. The next day I received countless texts and phone calls about how wonderful the shower was. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant as an event space or just to enjoy a good meal!

Salvina the owner is a doll to work with and sits down and helps you plan a menu and her whole staff (especially Nina & Olga) bend over backwards to make sure your event is as perfect as can be. I’ve hosted 2- 8th grade celebrations there with an organized crowd over 70 ppl. Most recently a surprise sweet 16 dinner for 25 and a PTO ladies night out for 65 as a fundraiser. They all went above and beyond and it was a smooth event. I almost forgot to mention how delicious the food is too!! Fresh and authentic Italian.

Great food ! Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. One of the best octopus I had ever tried , tender and tasty .It requires a high skill to prepare octopus the way they do. Excellent job Chief!! Calamari is always the rock ! Full of flavour seafood pasta and fillet mignon. Food is a the strong side of this place , along with special vibe and quality service . Can’t wait to come back !

Excellent! We enjoyed an amazing NYE dinner here on 12/31/22 and were very pleased with our experience. The food is to die for and well priced for the quality and quantity you get. Also BYOB for alcohol, but if you don’t plan ahead, there is a liquor store a few doors down in the same shopping center. Staff are very nice and accommodating.

Nothing compares to this restaurant it’s beyond words, amazing! The atmosphere is great, the service is great, the food is beyond words. If I could I would give this restaurant 6 stars on a 1-5 star rating.

Cucina is a gem of a restaurant. Food that rivals Manhattan including their steak options. Always a pleasant welcome and gracious service. This mom and pop operation is outstanding in every possible way. So grateful to have this restaurant in our town . It’s the best!!!

It's fine. Desserts are a deception. They don't have a menu for dessert (which looks good in Google maps) and is just whatever they feel like offering which is why 2 stars. All the desserts are just freezer stuff, not baked goods (except eclairs but you really never know if they reheat it or it really is fresh). No menus posted anywhere online either. But if you see a large pack of people, turn back. These people can't handle a full restaurant let alone half. Food and portions was average but 1.5 hr wait is ridiculous. Edit: 1 star because they really don't deserve a 4.5 star overall rating.

If youre looking for a FINE DINING experience - THIS IS IT! We've passed this place often when visiting BWW and meant to stop by so we finally went on a date with my husband here. We LOVE good food but we have high standards for places with higher prices. Over $20 for a meal. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was very romantic. They sat us by a "fireplace" and the lights were dimmed, music playing, small candles on the table. Very clean and comfortable. The waitress brought fresh hot bread with butter (always a plus!) And shared the specials. Every single plate that hit our table was wiped clean because it was so delicious. We ordered a fresh salad with balsamic. Amazing. Then tried the mushroom risotto that others raved about in reviews and we couldnt believe how tasty it was and how every element complimented each other. We used the bread to wipe the plate clean. A must try! Then, my husband ordered a meal with chicken, filet mignon and sausage with peppers and it was so good! He raved about the mignon melting in his mouth and the peppers being so soft and juicy. I got the salmon on a bed of zuchinni and lemon risotto and it was absolutely fantastic. It was light yet so filling and the portions were worth the pay. Although, just the taste of it would have been worth it. Finally, we ordered lattes and creme brulee and it was gone in an instant (even though we thought we were so full). They were fresh, delicious and absolutely the perfect ending to our night. We had an amazing evening celebrating us and we couldnt have chosen a better place to do it. Thank you to the waitress and the chef! It was a fine dining experience all around! Will be coming back soon!

Outstanding!!! This Italian Restaurant is one of the best ever!! I have been going to this restaurant from the beginning, it has been consistently amazing every single time. 😍Love this place From the Food, the Service (Nina is awesome )& Staff, the Atmosphere, to the Owners!!!

Food was amazing no real complaints there. The wait was my issue we got there for our reservation at 5:30 and didn't get our dinner untill 7:15. I don't mind waiting for good food and since we had apps it did hold us over for a little bit from appetizers to dinner we must have waited over 45 minutes as appetizers came out very quick. The place was very tight there isn't much breathing room between tables and servers have to squeeze through. I think they would benefit from expanding or remodeling so they could fit more people. The food is excellent however for a 5 star they just need to speed it up a bit and fix there krampt feel!

Exceptional food and service. This was my second time dining there and the food did not disappoint. Its one of those restaurants that leaves a good impression so you want to go back. The atmosphere is lively and it is always packed in there. Although its pretty big, it feels quaint and charming. There is a family-like atmosphere and the staff is very accommodating to your needs. I highly recommend this for a group dinning experience, such as celebrating a special event, or a romantic intimate date. Will be going back for more!
