My
physical
therapy
journey
started
in
August
2019
when
I
was
stricken
with
a
sciatica
attack
that
left
me
in
excruciating
pain
and
reliant
on
a
walker
for
mobility.
At
the
time
I
wasn’t
familiar
with
physical
therapy
treating
sciatica
and
went
to
a
chiropractor,
who
did
relieve
some
pain
and
restored
some
mobility,
but
I
still
needed
a
cane
and
I
was
still
in
pain.
I
went
to
an
orthopedic
surgeon
who
found,
from
an
MRI,
Degenerative
Disc
Disease,
arthritis,
scoliosis,
and
several
bulging
discs
throughout
my
spine,
but
the
lumbar
region
was
especially
bad.
His
first
recommendation
was
physical
therapy
and
immediately
referred
me
to
Game
Shape.
Because
of
the
complications
in
my
back,
I
would
eventually
receive
steroid
injections
(which
didn’t
help)
and
lower
back
surgery.
Game
Shape
has
been
extraordinary
in
my
recovery
and
my
therapist,
Dr.
Shannon
Moloughney
is
a
godsend.
My
recovery,
still
in
progress,
was
interrupted
from
the
lower
back
surgery
in
March
2020
and
the
corona
virus
lock
down.
During
my
post-op
visits,
my
orthopedist
credited
my
fairly
quick
recovery
to
my
physical
therapy.
Game
Shape
and
their
staff
are
professional,
friendly,
welcoming,
accommodating,
and
compassionate.
All
of
the
doctors
are
excellent.
The
staff
is
diligent
and
very
helpful.
They
constantly
checked
in
with
me
to
ensure
I
am
correctly
performing
my
exercises
and
that
I
am
okay.
Wendy
and
Dianne
are
awesome
and
delightful!
They
have
helped
me
with
insurance
issues,
scheduling,
and
administrative
items.
They
keep
safety
at
the
forefront
and
keep
Game
Shape
humming
along!
The
facility
is
very
clean
and
all
of
the
equipment
is
in
good
working
order.
Cleanliness
is
especially
important
to
me.
With
the
coronavirus
pandemic
and
being
in
a
high
risk
group,
plus
my
surgery,
cleanliness
is
now
crucial
to
me
and
Game
Shape
did
not
disappoint.
The
level
to
which
they
clean,
disinfect,
wear
masks,
gloves
and
enforce
coronavirus
safety
protocols
(temperature
checks,
masks,
gloves,
and
hand
sanitizer)
is
very
reassuring
to
me.
I
have
been
Dr.
Shannon
Moloughney’s
patient
since
October
2019
and
she
is
a
godsend!
She’s
an
exceptionally
dedicated,
skillful,
knowledgable,
and
personable
therapist.
She
takes
the
time
to
explain
how
different
exercises
facilitate
my
recovery;
for
me
that
education
is
fantastic.
She
constantly
monitors
and
adjust
my
therapy
for
its
effectiveness.
I
was
having
difficulty
with
one
of
my
exercises.
Dr.
Moloughney
figured
out
that
one
of
my
legs
was
shorter
and
was
hampering
the
exercise.
She
made
a
couple
of
adjustments
and
I
was
back
on
track.
When
I
started
physical
therapy
I
couldn’t
walk
or
stand
without
the
aid
of
cane
and
always
in
varying
degrees
of
pain.
Today,
I
am
stronger,
more
flexible,
and
mobile
for
my
time
with
her.
Now,
I
can
walk
a
mile,
push
a
vacuum
cleaner,
garden,
and
generally
engage
in
more
physical
activities
for
longer
periods
of
time.
I’m
just
more
productive
and
that
makes
me
very
happy!
Between
the
on-site
therapy
and
the
prescribed
home
exercises,
my
progress
is
steady
and
progressive.
Throughout
my
therapy
journey,
Dr.
Moloughney
has
helped
me
help
myself.
Her
specialty
is
physical
therapy,
but
she
also
indirectly
provides
emotional
therapy.
When
I
got
hurt,
my
confidence
took
a
big
hit.
I
was
afraid
to
do
anything
because
of
pain.
Now
I’m
not
afraid
to
push
the
envelope.
Thank
you
Game
Shape
and
thank
you
Dr.
Shannon
Moloughney
for
helping
me
get
my
life
back!
