I hired Jeff Jordan Architects back in 2016 to make my business buildout vision a reality for om.life Wellness Spa in Jersey City. After seeing the glowing reviews and the beautifully designed concepts they've created, I was convinced they were the right firm for us. I gave Jeff and his team all my guidelines, needs, and overall vision and he created a space that was even more beautiful than we had dreamed of. We had a very irregular layout, and this firm was able to provide us with everything we wanted. It was a very challenging buildout process due to my contractors (whom I chose) not meeting deadlines, but Jeff and his team were there every single step of the way. A commercial buildout in Jersey City is an excruciating process, and I am glad this firm helped us navigate through this process. They over delivered for us, communicated within a few minutes of our inquiries, prepared our plans even before the deadlines and worked diligently through every part of the process. I will be forever grateful to Jeff and his team.

We cannot say enough good things about Jeff Jordan Architects. We hired Jeff to help us turn our tiny, hundred-year-old, lakefront stone cottage into our dream home. We wanted a modern design that still honored the history of the house and incorporated the original stone work. Jeff and Feriye worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted in the space while helping us be mindful of our budget. The result is breathtaking. We are nearly complete with our construction and we are finding all of these little details that make the space and design unique, particularly how they took advantage of the view from our lot. Every room feels like an expansive retreat, yet the house is only around 1500 square feet. Above all, our favorite part of working with Jeff has been the communication and professionalism. He returns every phone call and email in a timely fashion, always shows up to meetings on time, if not early, and is meticulous in keeping track of details. Overall, we’ve been so impressed by Jeff’s passion for our project and his openness to our ideas, suggestions, and questions, qualities seeming to be lacking in the construction industry in general. Choosing Jeff Jordan Architects has been, by far and away, the best decision we’ve made in this whole process. We highly recommend them.

Jeff Jordan Architects designed my gelato and sorbet store in Bloomfield, NJ. I couldn’t be happier with the results. They are experts at modernizing older Jersey buildings like ours from an old pizza shop with outdated colors and designs to an updated minimalist interior. They were also easy to work with. I highly recommend them for any homeowner looking to update their home or for businesses looking to refresh their stores.

We hired Jeff and team to design a new home for our family of four. Can't say enough positive things about our decision. They are professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, responsive, etc., etc., etc. Most importantly, they are a full-service architectural firm. I did not appreciate the importance of this at the onset but now can’t stress enough how invaluable their continued support proved to be throughout the bidding phase and entire build process. It has been a little over two years since we’ve moved in and we couldn’t be happier! Our home still turns heads. Strangers still approach us with questions about materials and design. And the compliments keep coming – they range from “you can tell it’s very well thought out” to “it’s smart and sexy”. Thanks Jeff!! And if we hit the lottery, they’ll be designing us a home in the southwest :)

My wife and I worked with Jeff and his team to renovate a 100-plus-year-old house. We spent a long time looking for an architect whose sensibilities meshed with ours — someone who could take an old, beautiful, but house, and make it a new, beautiful house. The specific challenge was to honor some of the original elements of the house with a fresh, modern, minimalist design. Jeff was extremely patient with us and came back with plans we couldn’t have been happier with, including converting a cramped multi-room attic space into a light-filled primary suite, and taking a small galley kitchen and turning it into a loft-like great room, with big glass doors leading out onto a new back patio. Now that we’ve seen Jeff’s plans executed by our contractor, we couldn’t be happier. It’s even nicer than it appeared in the plans! I also want to say that Jeff, personally, was a huge pleasure to work with. He responded *immediately* to emails and calls — and in the world of home renovation (where projects tend to drag), that kind of promptness and respect seems rare. He was always warm, friendly, patient, and collaborative, and took the time to visit our home in person, several times, including after our contract with him was “officially” over. I couldn’t recommend Jeff and his team more!

We have worked with Jeff Jordan Architects to design and seek approvals for a 4 unit building in Jersey City downtown. We are very pleased with our experience with Jeff and his firm and the outcome of the project. Plans produced for our project are very clean and modern and this is something Jeff’s firm excels at. We found Jeff to be extremely responsive and professional. Jeff was always accessible to discuss ideas or changes. Jeff truly owns the relationship with the clients as opposed to leaving us with a team member. Every project requires working with city officials and neighborhood associations. Jeff is very proactive with reaching out to all parties when necessary. His presentations to the various authorities were professional and very well received. Jeff is very upfront and he only promises what he can deliver. Jeff has guided us through every step of the process. We felt well supported during the design and approval process. We are very glad that we worked with his firm and we look forward to working with him again in the future.

Jeff was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our company hired him to do a huge project that included cutting a massive hole in a very thick cement floor, to later build a metal staircase. Without Jeff's help, this project would have been unmanageable. His service was professional, fast, and accurate. As always, another job beautifully complete thanks to Jeff!

My company has been working with Jeff and his team for about 5 years now. The working relationship between architects and engineers can be and is often tricky to navigate, however, Jeff and his team have always engaged with us as engineers on projects with a very high degree of professionalism, respect, courtesy, patience, and friendliness. Jeff and his team really know their trade well and it shows in their masterful knowledge, understanding and application of current design standards, nation-wide and local building codes and construction techniques. I do not know of a person with whom I have shared Jeff’s architectural designs, that have not said his work is absolutely beautiful. He is an inspired and dedicated architect with a clear vision of modern design. During collaborations, I am often witness to Jeff’s responsiveness to his clients, his obvious attention and concern and to the quality of his consulting. Personally, and professionally, Jeff has always been direct, honest and fair in all of our professional dealings. Jeff Jordan Architects and our office continue to work together on projects to this day and we always look forward with great anticipation to the next collaboration.

Jeff and his team designed a property in the Catskills for our family. We used his services for a master site plan, as well as the design of our primary home. From day 1 we have been incredibly impressed by the work he did to not only bring our vision to life, but elevate it beyond what we realized would be possible. Working with him and Misa was a dream, they helped us understand the design process, were extremely professional, organized, and collaborative with our feedback, partnered well with other vendors we brought into the process, and overall a pleasure to work with. Would absolutely recommend Jeff Jordan Architects to anyone that is looking.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Jeff on our new home construction project and we couldn't be happier with the results. His collaborative nature, attention to detail, and ability to understand our vision truly made the project a success. Jeff was always available to answer our questions and provided valuable guidance throughout the process. He was able to work seamlessly with our contractor and other members of the construction team, which greatly contributed to the overall success of the project. He truly is a collaborative professional who was able to help us bring our dream home to life. We highly recommend Jeff to anyone in need of architectural services for new home construction.

Jeff Jordan designed my gut-remodeled row house in Jersey City and I could not be happier with the results. It has been a long and daunting process, but working with Jeff has been one of the brightest highlights of the experience. When I was looking for an architect I considered a lot of things, mostly I wanted to ensure our aesthetics and visions would be compatible. If you are reading this review I assume you have already flipped through the showcase projects on his website and know that his company designs beautiful homes. My house was in a historical district and I loved his willingness and examples of fitting a new home into an old shell. What I didn't consider as much at the time, and where I got extraordinarily fortunate with Jeff, is his expertise in the particularities of building within Jersey City. I'm sure his talents extend well beyond Jersey City, but I've only built one house and it was here! It is incredibly valuable to have an architect with the special experience of what will and will not get approved by entities like the historical preservation commission. He guided us through the design and approval process in a way that made the incredibly intricate process look easy. I am also aware that I was not an especially easy client. He would send a draft for comments and I would write back several million bullet points. Jeff and his team were always willing to answer my questions, work to make changes, and absolutely make it perfect. The highest compliment I can give is that if I were to build another house in the area I wouldn't even consider making a different choice. Building a house is neither cheap nor easy, but starting with the best architect will make the rest of the project as smooth as possible.

We had a really great experience working with Jeff and his team. Jeff was responsive through the process of designing our apartment combination in Jersey City and he thought of creative ways to utilize the space and existing materials. Jeff was also upfront about the costs and expectations which helped us plan appropriately. We highly recommend Jeff!

JJA helped us with a gut renovation of our kitchen and bathroom as well as a second floor extension on our 1890's home. We were impressed from the very first walkthrough when Jeff made insightful suggestions about improving the flow and use of different spaces in our house, above and beyond what we were hoping for. Given their portfolio, we were not sure if JJA might be too modern for us or for our house, but that was not an issue at all. We highly recommend JJA's services. Jeff's communication about all aspects of the process were timely and clear. Jeff and Feriye were helpful and patient in answering our questions and working with us through various scenarios. We are very pleased with our new living spaces and thankful for JJA's role in making it happen!

Overall, I highly recommend using Jeff Jordan (and his Team) to anyone considering his services. I will not look to anyone for my future renovation upgrades! I went through a full townhome gut renovation in Jersey City historic district , which was nerve wracking enough, but Jeff was able to support me in the best way possible. I engaged him for architectural drawings, analyzing contractor bids and periodic check-ins throughout the entire construction phase, and overall, he far exceeded my expectations! In summary: 1. Efficiency - you may or may not know, but construction projects are always delayed, but not once was it due to Jeff/his Team.  They are extremely efficient, provided me with a fast turnaround on changes to plans, responses to emails, scheduling time with him, etc. There are so many parties coming together during a construction project, and the full process took 2.5 years, and not once was it delayed due to Jeff. 2. Knowledge/experience - especially if it's your first time going through a huge reno in JC's historic district, Jeff's experience will minimize getting denied by the City, and also provided me with knowledge of the process behind the scenes. (key if you're uncomfortable with the unknown!) 3. Professional/personable - you'll know what I mean when you meet Jeff, he's very personable, respectful and professional, so very easy to work with. Like I said, our project expanded 2.5 years, so it's extremely important to choose to work with someone that's likeable! I'm so glad I made the decision to use him and have zero regrets!

I coincidentally came across JJA as some of their work was showcased in a few of my client's catalogue pictorials and they happened be based in close proximity to where I live and thought I'd reach out local. I'm glad I did because the entire process was an enjoyable experience and through each stage of the process you felt in good hands. JJA will not only listen to your ideas but offer insight and options for refining them. Although JJA works on projects of all sizes - our smaller studio condo design received all the attention it needed from start to finish. Can highly recommend working w/ Jeff Jordan & his team - you won't regret it!

I hired JJA to develop a top to bottom remodel of our mid century modern home. JJA understood the project and my expectations right away and they were very easy to collaborate with. The design we came up with was thoroughly modern yet remained true to the mid century modern aesthetic of the original house. I'd highly recommend JJA to anyone looking for an architect that really gets modern design and is easy to work with.

As a developer, I have hired many A&D firms over the past 10 years on projects requiring services ranging from conceptual design, zoning all the way to building it.   I had the pleasure of working with Jeff Jordan Architects on my recent project and experienced a very positive outcome which I would like to share . Why Jeff Jordan? 1) One stop shop: This firm can help you obtain variance, present to the historic board, prepare related applications, and QB all the other consultants' efforts (engineer, planner, attorney) to have a powerful and positive outcome.   During DD they will listen well and match the design intent with developers' needs.   They get “the cost” component of building what they design while maintaining the highest design standards.  CDs are produced shortly after and they will stay engaged during the construction and commissioning phases.   The owner principal, Jeff, makes himself and his staff available for questions and follow up meetings- just an easy to reach group of wonderful people 2) Design excellence: A quick research of Jeff Jordan Architects' past work speaks volume about the firm's attention to detail beside the building mass/forms.   Their attention to detail on items like stair design, light coves and finishes makes your product stand out. 3) Quality of CDs: The drawings they provide make most GCs happy.  GCs know what to build from the bid documents and there are no surprises at the end.   Also from the owner’s perspective, it will reduce change orders.   That’s huge! 4) Reputation: Jeff Jordan Architects applications with the DOB are often quickly reviewed and passed.  Why? DOB knows the firm has a clear understanding of building codes.  The building department knows Jeff will not prepare an application that has conflict with township interests or building codes. You want a consultant that has an excellent reputation, yet is creative with interpretation of codes vs your ask. 5) Access and Availability: During construction, site conditions may require adjustments in a timely manner… we call that “man on scaffold”… meaning you need answers quickly … Jeff Jordan Architects get that and make themselves available when you need them. 6) They are just fun to work with!

Our company—a specialty coffee bar—first approached Jeff when we came across published images of his beautiful work. His aesthetic was aligned with ours, but we REALLY hired him because of his open honesty and genuine desire to bring our vision to reality. Make no mistake: in order to work with an architect of his caliber, we knew we had to have bring our “A-game” as well; this is a partnership, not simply a paid service. From concept to final architectural drawings, Jeff and his team showed an attentiveness in every detail, at every stage. Jeff explored a spectrum of space layouts and backed each one up with well-considered reasoning; the balance between natural and artificial light; the individual and collective experiences of the customers and baristas. He strove to create a space that, above all, told our brand story and that people would intuitively feel. In turn, as clients, we provided tangible feedback, clarity in our decision-making, and an openness to explore—because knowing why we DIDN'T choose a particular option was often just as important as why we DID choose another. In short, the “human" element of Jeff’s approach to design is the key, and we couldn’t be happier nor more honored to have worked with him.

We've been working with Jeff for a while on a redesign of my mid-century home and we're very pleased with having worked with Jeff and his team and the final plans. The process was time consuming and much energy was needed to sort through all of the changes that we wanted, but in the end, we feel that we've gotten as close to perfect as possible with the new design. Jeff and his team were patient and thoughtful and impressed us with their ability to think outside the box, while also checking all the boxes on what we were looking for. The process was collaborative and was worth the time spent. Not only did Jeff help us create the redesign, but he also assisted us with getting pre-bids, engineering evaluations, and some tricky questions answered re: waterways, etc.. This was extremely valuable in moving the project along. Jeff is pleasant to work with and has the patience required to handle all the back and forth emails, hours of phone calls, stupid questions, and impractical ideas that a client can throw at him. He's also excellent at understanding those impractical ideas and incorporating them into a realistic plan to satisfy the client. Jeff was always available to discuss ideas, layouts, etc. to help us hone our vision of what we wanted. Overall, Jeff is very talented, patient, and dedicated and I would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for a great architect.

We loved working with Jeff on our house, a 1910 colonial that needed a gut renovation. He transformed the house from a place of dilapidated nooks and crannies to an airy, open, bright space. He preserved some of the old-fashioned architectural details while thoroughly updating the kitchen, bathrooms, and living spaces, so that it has the feeling of clean lines and newness (while still somehow retaining its originality and character). Jeff was thoughtful, good-natured, incredibly responsive, calm and thorough, and his designs are elegant and clever. We felt like we were in very good hands with him in the design phase; he also helped us find an excellent contractor who carried out the work beautifully. We lucked out with Jeff and can't recommend him and his team highly enough.

JJA was the architect for the complete renovation of our classic midcentury modern home and, to cut to the chase, we're thrilled with the end result. Jeff and his team are that rare blend of technical excellence, exceptional style, the highest integrity, and the utmost care. I'd trust them with any project and work with them again in a heartbeat.
