I chose this office because it received good reviews online. However, my visit was far from that. The receptionist was abrupt and not very nice. The nurse was rude, didn’t even say hello or goodbye, she didn’t respond back to me when I said hello and thank you, and she acted like she couldn’t be bothered treating me. Not even a smile on the nurse or receptionist faces. It was a very awkward. On the other hand, the doctor was kind. I will not be going back here.

Got to this place at 9am for a covid test, around 11am I was finally able to sign in after waiting in line, in the cold. I didn't get seen untill 5pm. I was one of the last people seen for the whole day. I went inside multiple times letting them know everyone that was behind me in line has been seen and they did nothing for me. Along with all the new customers that came at different times during the day..most of them were walk ins also. I spent my entire day waiting in my car and outside of their building in the cold waiting to be called in. Along with others that were online with me since the morning. I would of gone home for all those hours but they gave no one an estimated time or updates on when they would be seen. I then would of lost my chance to be seen if I wasn't right there when they called. I would of left to go somewhere else but they were unfortunately the only place around that was opened on a Sunday. Worst service ever. The best part was when I was finally in the room the worker who came in said hi then started to watch the TV that was in the room like I wasn't standing outside all day. I've never been/seen a place so unorganized.

Doctor and nurse were very professional and detailed. I was very happy with their services. However 2 of the 3 front desk receptionists were very rude and kept sending me back to my car to wait to be called while holding on to my drivers license. I was on the waiting list from 12 pm and was called in at 3:08 pm. At one point I went back and asked the receptionist to let me know how many patients were ahead of me and her response was “I am the only one at the front desk so cannot answer that and you should come back in 2 hours.” I had already been waiting 2 hours. I have very good insurance and felt I was treated poorly as if I could not afford their services. They need to send their front desk receptionists to an ethics course to learn how to treat the incoming patients.

The rudest person I ever dealt with!! I went yesterday for a quick check up, the Receptionist was extremely nice to me and welcoming. I filled up what I need to fill up then they took me to the back room to wait for the doctor and while I was waiting I was on my phone Killing sometime till the doctor MARIA MALIK showed up and not even a second and she started giving me an attitude and talk to me in an extremely rude way I have no idea what kind of education she had but no one supposed to deals with clients like that

These wonderful ladies are super helpful and kind! Always a pleasant experience every time my family and I have visited. Fast and friendly service with smiles. Everywhere is short staffed and overworked ever since Covid 2020 and these ladies show up each day to work still being kind and caring. Hold on tight to this group of workers it’s hard to come by great employees these days! Hats off to these women! Thank you for dedication! 😷🤗🤧

excel urgent care really pulled through in the clutch! My 3 year old daughter bumped her head on the playground at daycare. our pediatrician closes at 5 so i was able to get her seen right away at 5:30pm. everyone there had excellent bed side manor, medical knowledge, and was able to treat my little girl and reassure me she did not have a concussion. Thank You to everyone there! Will recommend to all my parent friends!

I had a wonderful experience at Excel this evening. I initially called to find out if I could be seen as a walk in and I could sense the front desk associate was very pleasant and helpful, she smiled while talking with me on the phone and that’s so important in customer service. She encouraged me to book online or walk in. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two front desk associates and asked to fill out a brief form. They were both friendly and courteous and I knew they were a great team. The wait was very brief and I was seen quickly. The medical assistant was thorough and efficient, took my vitals. Within a few minutes I was seen by Vlada Finch. She was knowledgeable and communicated with me in a very understandable way. She took the time to explain my condition and prescribe medication that was appropriate for the issue I was having (she also explained the dosage and duration). Overall, the staff was excellent and although this urgent care is further from my home than others, I will be going back there if I need to in the future. I hope the staff knows how great they were and to keep up the doing what they’re doing!

My experience was great. Thank you very much. I am healthy now, and I am grateful and appreciative of how I was treated. This was my first time here, and it was very good. They treated me with respect, and made sure to help me the best they could. It was a very safe, friendly, easy-going experience. Once again thank you. And I recommend anyone to come here.

A great experience at Excel Urgent Care of Old Bridge. Was taken right away to be seen. From front desk, to the nurse, and provider; everyone was super friendly. The provider was very knowledgeable to my injury and answered all of my questions. Highly recommended

Had a great experience. My daughter and I both were seen very quickly. From the front desk to the doctor amazing service. I loved the da yes that I wasn’t rushed and the doctor took her time with us and everything and the discharge instructions were very helpful to care for myself and my Daugher. I will definitely be going back.

I had a worst experience with urgent care today that I went for a covid rapid test to do for school purpose, I came back from school to do and I said I want to go back to school so I asked them to do it faster but they kept me 2 hr to wait, in between 2hrs I reminded them 3 times that I don't want to see any doctor I just want to a rapid test but they're not listening and only one or two patients are waiting. I reached urgent care @10:00 am but I got my results after 12:30 pm so I missed today's school and I was absent, also front desk associate are not respectful. For me this is very bad experience, I wish no one else will get this kind of experience. Thank you.

I’ve been their customer for almost a year, this used to be go-to testing facility for travel testing. I’d normally call them, though they advertise as a walk-in facility, and never had any issues. One time I really needed their help was tonight, I got a fever around 7, tried to call them, but they changed the system and there were no option to speak to a live person. I decided to drive there, and got there close to 8:30, thirty minutes before they close. The lady at reception said they couldn’t test me because they had a lot of patients today (?), and they are booked for the rest of the day. I pointed out that there were only couple of people waiting in their cars outside, and that the whole thing only takes 10 minutes, and that I’m their customer who has high fever and I’d better not be driving around like this. Unfortunately, the receptionist didn’t care much and refused the service. So much for the word “Urgent” in their name, so much for any compassion or basic understanding. They were so nice when it was convenient for them, but when they had to go an extra inch, they just couldn’t care less. Will never recommend this place to nobody, will not set my foot there again, even if they have the last doctor in the country.

Absolutely excellent experience! Staff got me in right away, I never waited more than 5 minutes to see anyone and everyone was super friendly! Thanks so much !

Front desk was very unhelpful. Woman stated that they were trying to get away from paperwork so I had to scan and go on app to make an appointment for a walk in. Waited over an hour to be seen. Lady sat there talking to family on cell phone when she could have simply taken my insurance card and id. Nurse that took vitals had an attitude seemed like it was a burden to do her job. When location first opens it was great. Definitely went down hill.

I walked in at 9:40. I was brought to the exam room at 10:40 and the doctor didn't come in until 11:20. The office was very busy. It was my first time here so I don't know if it's always like this but a huge waste of time. Staff were nice but the wait time was ridiculous. Also, one of the workers had a very loud argument with someone on the phone and slammed the phone down at the end of the conversation. They should really be a bit more professional.

This place is horrible. I stopped going couple years back and it only has gotten worse. It started with me waiting and a guy from last week came in and said I asked for a z pck and you said no and gave me something weaker and now it’s worse and I need a the z pack. Nope u need to pay your 50 dollar co pay. Now I came in after two weeks bc my kid still doesn’t feel good and I’m the last guy to go to doctor so seeing her miserable for long enough apparently the nurse practitioner(bc they don’t have a dr on today) says she’s not sick! Hahahahahaba never again. So I just got out of my second dr appt with meds bc she was in fact sick

Good care. Wait time not bad. Be weary of what they say with payment. Things that I double checked in payment was said to be included in price(no insurance), then bill you later in mail. They say things are included with price of appointment, you’re cleared to leave, then a week later you get the bill. Don’t lie about payments, and deceive patients. It’s not appropriate or professional, nor right. Besides the billing it was good care. Just extremely disappointed in being lied to.

It had been awhile since I’ve been to this location and it’s changed a lot since then, and for the better. I was able to quickly and easily make an appointment online for the next day and fill out all my paperwork online. I got there a little early and barely had to wait 5 minutes after checking in. Immediately saw a nurse for vitals and all that jazz and then only waited about 3 minutes before the doctor came in. Everyone had a really pleasant demeanor and bedside manner. They seemed to care about their patients even though I am not one they’ve seen regularly. I was in and out and on my way to feeling better in no time. I was on my lunch break from work so I was grateful to have the time to pick up my antibiotic and eat lunch before having to clock back in. Quick and efficient. I would return and I would recommend.

The wait was over an hour. But it was compensated for the professionalism of nurse and doctor. Doctor was very thorough with her findings and instructions. Thanks

  • 5/5 R R. 11 months ago on Google
The doctors are very good, very thorough, and are very conservative in the approach they take when dealing with the patient. Instructions are very clear when you leave the office with regard to what you have to do after the visit. They will give you a letter for your employer or school as needed. Additionally, appointments are very easy to schedule online.

Staff were friendly and got me in very quickly. They administered proper test and gave results in a timely manner with instructions on taking medication. If need arises, I would definitely use their services again.

This was my first visit to Excel urgent care. Unable to get an appt with my PCP they had suggested I go to the Old Bridge location since it was close to my home. I’m so pleased I went. The friendly staff was not only professional but kind, understanding and personable. My concerns were addressed and I felt confident with Lauren’s diagnosis and treatment plan. I started seeing results but developed another health issue and went back days later. Fortunately Lauren was there and I had the same positive experience. She even went a step farther letting me know if I was unable to fill one prescription, she would substitute it with another for me immediately. She also gave me her schedule for the rest of the week and assured me I could come back. If I had any other issues I felt taken care of heard, and confident in her care. I’m happy to say within a few hours of the additional treatment plan I started to feel better. Just a note, I used the online service for making my appt. I definitely recommend Excel urgent care in Old Bridge.

Everyone was so friendly & caring. This urgent care was a few miles from my home but it is so worth it. From the receptionist, nurse & doctor everyone was genuinely concerned about me. It was super clean. The facility in Parlin should tale notes from this one in old bridge. I will only go to this facility.

This is the best urgent care I’ve ever experienced. They are gracious, professional and wait times aren’t long. I was just there last week. The medical assistant was so sweet and the doctor was lovely. Highly recommend.

That was the best urgent care I ever visited in NJ. From the front desk staff to medical assistant everyone was so professional, kind and caring. Dr. Steve is truly the best doctor I ever met. I'm in Healthcare myself and can tell with closed eyes he is caring, passionate and dedicated to patients needs. I truly received the best service I ever got in any other urgent care. The place is also super clean and there was no waiting time. The manager Lisa is amazing, professional and is the best supervisor keeping this urgent care with the best team and with a super positive, clean environment and atmosphere. Thank you again million times Dr. STEVE, Lisa and all the team who took care of me yesterday with passion ,compassion and high level of dedication.

Well blood pressure was at 188/91. That warranted a ER. Or medication. I was sent back to work not able to breathe. With a higher dose of antibiotics. And no attention to my high blood pressure. No care for me what so ever. However my last visit was spectacular. Dr Highit was extremely attentive and on point

Once I was called to go into the building and met the team, they we very pleasant. Not a long line, but you don’t really know as you wait in your car, but it.moved quickly. I am disappointed, I felt that I was being rushed out and had to try to interject to get symptoms or concerns out. I was told to follow up with my ent or primary physician, but I was ushered out and I guess they didn’t hear me say that I don’t have one. I had read online that you could use the office for a regular doctor visit, I guess I am off to another urgent care…..appointments when you are a new patient without an emergency are about 3 weeks or more. Nice people, rushed out and as another reviewer states ,you are asked to fill out paperwork that you are told on the website to fill out so that you won’t waste time when you get there, so not sure who owns this redundancy

Excellent from start to finish. The best Urgent Care facility I’ve been too. Wonderful care team, professional and courteous. Dr. Finch was easy to talk to, understand and addressed all my concerns. Highly recommend this facility.

Very patient with my young 17 month old son. When you have an appointment, they bring you in pretty quickly. Usually you get your vitals done shortly after. Then there’s a little wait to see the actual doctor. Doctor is always super helpful and friendly. Straight to the point and thorough with discharge papers to summarize symptoms and explain the dosages or procedures to follow for care. Would recommend and will be going again

Quick check in at front desk, service up front and MA were cordial and efficient. the wait wasn’t long either. However the PA who assessed me was extremely assumptive and thought my wife was my mother. more importantly on the website it was advertised that there would be IV fluids available as a service, however the PA stated they do not have this service. please advertise your business correctly.

They are fast. I was in and out in 15 min. I made an appointment online and it was easy. Everyone is fast and professional. They are very nice. It's my go-to urgent care in the area. I've tried others and they are the fastest and most professional.

I went to Excel Urgent Care on July 17, 2022 because I was feeling sick and knew I had gotten COVID again! I have my own doctor but I needed to get tested right away. I have gone here once before last year and had an ok experience but this time it was AMAZING. From the woman at the front desk, who might I add was so sweet and nice, to the nurse who came in and took my vitals and tested me. Then Dr. Hyatt came in and she blew me away. She was so sweet, caring and listened and never rushed me out. She even followed up with me after I in fact tested positive. I can't say enough nice things about her and the staff. Thank you Dr. Hyatt for being so sweet and caring. You are an asset to your profession!!

The staff was honest in letting us know that we were looking at a 2hr wait time. They were pleasant and once in a room, we did not feel rushed by the attending physician. She and the attending nurse aide were caring and thorough.

I’m doing 5 stars because I’ve always a had a good experience here. The doctors have always been great, so I don’t want one person to reflect the ratings here. Today, I walked in and immediately the front desk woman with grayish/blonde hair and glasses looked at me like I was bothering her by walking in. She just stared at me until I said something. The younger lady with the dark hair was very kind. I had asked a question that pertained to my diabetes medication. The younger lady seemed to care enough to ask if I could be helped and also spoke nicely to me. I was unable to be helped today which I understood. The other lady was rude, abrupt and had no customer service. I was too shocked in the moment to give her feedback about this so I left. When people are coming in for medical issues, they are feeling worried and vulnerable. They deserve to be treated kindly . Even a “so sorry we can’t help” would be nice. Hope this somehow reaches her so she can work on customer service for the future.

I came in for a Covid test. The wait was a bit long but the service inside was good and the staff were very professional. Long story short I came out positive on the test and the doctor that I saw was really nice and informative about what I can do to get better. It’s a good urgent care to visit. I’d recommend them.

The best experience! From the receptionists, to the nurses and the radiology tech - all great reviews! Now for Dr. Finch. There are no words to adequately express my appreciation for her. Dr. Finch is caring, compassionate and extremely thorough. Urgent Care is fortunate to have such a professional on its staff. 10 Stars!

Clean facility with excellent covid protocols. Staff was wonderful. Jade was absolutely wonderful, very kind, considerate and friendly. My doctor was also wonderful ( wish I could remember her name). She was thorough, didn't rush and showed genuine concern. Highly recommend
