Worst experience ever. I have never gone to a doctors office for an evaluation of a medical condition and been asked to take a urine test like I’m going to rehab. The doctor should try to meet his patient and evaluate their needs and what they are looking for out of the treatment he provides before assuming all his patients are rig seekers. I left with no evaluation or treatment and now have to find a doctor who is looking to find evaluate and find the best treatment for my low back pain and sciatica. I have lived with this pain and issues for over 20 years caused by working as a nurse. Never took any pain medicine or treatment. I have only been to a chiropractor and physical therapy but you wouldn’t have known that because you assume everyone wants pain medicine. I was hoping for an MRI to determine if a surgical option is available or if I can physical therapy again. I will find a doctor who cares and you have lost any referral I would ever give as a nurse to any patient or friend.

Dr. Poonia is not only and excellent physician, his compassion and bedside manner, is just beyond anything I have ever experienced. He genuinely cares for his patients. His wife, Dr. Sharma, is just as wonderful. The staff, especially Lily and the nurses Lisa and Josh at the surgical centers are just so warm and caring. I highly recommend IPMC .

Dr. Poonia and his team are some of the best for pain management of any kind. Three weeks ago I injured my hip and groin and was in excruciating pain to the point where I could not walk or live normally. I was hospitalized for 4 days due to this because I did not know what was wrong or that my pain could be easily resolved within the first visit to Dr. Poonia. He quickly diagnosed me and provided me with trigger point shots and medication that relieved my pain immediately. I then received follow up treatment at his surgical center in Edison and the staff there was also very pleasant. I now have NO pain and am back to being fully functional (: I highly recommend Dr. Poonia and his associates.

After 2 steroid treatments for sever shoulder pain at my previous Ortho, I decided to try someone different. I’m extremely happy I found Dr. Poonia. He has very good bedside manners and was able to give me the relief I needed. On procedure day, he provided relief in the exact area I needed. What stood out also is after the injection, he ask if I still have pain in other areas and he proceeded to treat those areas as well. I’ve never had a doctor ask me that! I will continue to go to him for any of my pain management needs.

Just went for the 1st time 11/16/22. Had a little trouble finding the suite, but once I did visit went pretty smoothly from there. Will be getting some work done so will update later.

I have treated with Dr Amit Poonia for my lower back. I had pain since 5 years and couldn’t get relief with Physical Therapy. Dr Poonia suggested pain management injections and they worked well on me. Got a good relief in a couple of months. Their facility is good and less wait time also they provided transportation for the patients. They r flexible with appointments. I highly recommend this to anyone.

As a guy that goes to the gym frequently I recently got a really bad pictorial strain. Dr Poonia is one of the best Pain Management doctors around. I have been to quite a few in the surrounding area and their treatment plan always fell to the way side and they would fail to help with my pain. Dr Poonia explains everything in simple terms too.. Dr. Poonia is on his game and accommodates my schedule as well. He is the only doctor that prescribed for me Diclofenac which helps immensely in between injections. Thank Dr Poonia !!!

Went to see Dr Poonia for stomach pain didn't know if he could help but he told me they have procedures that can help called hypogastic plexus so i gave it a try, i could not belive the relief it gave me i recommend anyone who is experiencing this type of pain to see the Dr he is awsome will explain everything to you and very nice people to deal with.

Staff is very pleasant, helpful. I got much improvement for my knee pain with Dr.Sharma. The facility is very clean and neat. Always compliant on answering questions and helping with documents.
