have
been
wanting
to
post
this
for
the
longest
time
.
I
want
to
share
my
recent
Massage
Envy
experience
at
the
Short
Hills
location
on
August
18.
For
purposes
of
background
I
have
been
a
Massage
Envy
customer
for
many
years.
This
therapist
on
August
18th
was
not
new
to
me
as
I
was
seeing
her
for
the
third
time.
This
session
she
insisted
on
going
“hard”
as
she
felt
that
would
address
my
knots.
At
the
end
of
the
massage
she
also
stretched
me
so
hard
that
I
got
a
bout
of
vertigo
on
the
massage
table
.
I
remember
shrieking
from
the
pain
and
the
discomfort
from
the
vertigo.
She
did
come
back
quickly
to
check
on
me
and
comfort
me
.
However
this
was
the
first
time
I
had
a
vertigo
experience
and
that
too
after
a
massage
.
I
was
not
in
any
capacity
to
talk
at
that
time
and
somehow
managed
to
get
back
home.
However
this
was
only
the
start
of
my
post
massage
trauma
and
pain.
I
started
experiencing
episodic
neck
pain,
back
pain,
vertigo,
dizziness
and
giddiness.
I
was
in
constant
pain
from
head
to
toe
.
My
sleep
got
affected
as
I
could
not
even
lie
on
my
side
.
Even
laying
on
my
back
was
so
painful
.
I
was
immobilized
and
could
not
do
simple
household
chores.
Driving
was
out
of
the
question
and
I
have
been
confined
to
my
home.
Even
after
all
these
days
I
can
barely
move
my
neck
as
it
causes
extreme
discomfort.
My
physician
recommended
intensive
physical
therapy
and
imaging
tests
to
determine
neck
damage.
She
was
appalled
at
the
extent
of
pain
and
distress
from
the
massage.
Currently
I
am
getting
physical
therapy
and
getting
chiropractor
treatments
twice
a
week
to
heal
from
the
effects
of
the
massage.
On
day
11
,
we
called
Massage
Envy
at
Short
Hills
to
complain.
We
were
told
by
a
very
unprofessional
and
almost
casual
sounding
lady
“
what
do
you
want
us
to
do
“.
We
gave
her
all
the
details.
She
promised
to
get
back
to
us
in
a
couple
of
days.
Massage
Envy
in
Short
Hills
never
bothered
to
call
us
back
despite
a
second
call
from
us
.
At
this
point
we
filed
a
couple
of
complaints
with
the
corporate
office
via
an
e
mail
to
corporate
relations.
Till
date
we
have
not
heard
back
from
them
either.
I
am
disgusted
and
appalled
by
the
company’s
attitude.
Their
utter
lack
of
regard
for
customer
well
being
and
almost
cavalier
attitude
is
nothing
short
of
scandalous.
The
purpose
of
this
post
is
only
to
share
my
traumatic
experience.
This
is
not
personal
and
I
will
not
take
any
names.
I
understand
that
mistakes
happen
but
it
is
really
Massage
Envy’s
lack
of
response
and
callous
customer
attitude
that
galls
me
.
