Casa d’Paco was recommended by friends who are really into Tapas and they said we don't need to worry about ordering the wrong dishes since everything is delicious. It's super popular and the street parking is limited, so they provide valet parking service for a $5 charge. However, they did double park on the street and it made us really difficult to move our car. There is a great variety of options on their menu and we had a hard time making our decisions. The staff recommend to have 2-3 tapas per person so we ordered 6 tapas, 1 signature Paella Casa d’Paco & 2 desserts to share with a group of four. The food was overall amazingly delicious and authentic as what we had in Spain. Our favorites were the Croquetas, which had creamy filling with crunchy layer and Pulpo a Galega, which was juicy & tender.

We have been here now 3 times in 2 weeks. We are so incredibly delighted with this place. I mean the Good is truly amazing and the service is great. You need to try the Rollitos de Salmon which are my favorite but we've tried a variety of dishes and they all exceed expectations. You will not regret coming here.

My husband really wanted to try this place after looking at all of the Ironbound restaurants. Their gluten free selection was small but we still ordered plenty of food.. I wasn't expecting all of the food to have the exact same flavor profile and be underseasoned. Our original waiter was fantastic with us, but the other had no clue. The chicken pimento, pulpo and the pork all tasted the exact same underseasoned with strong notes of pimento pepper. These dishes were relatively disappointing for how expensive these tapas are. While the pulpo was succulent the blackened grilled areas were soggy? No crunch no grill flavor and were only made palatable with a large dose of lemon and salt. The only highlight flavor wise was the lamb special but that still missed the mark on texture as it was mostly a gelatinous mass. The scallops were okay but definitely sub par for the hype. Tuna was flavorful but the honey mustard made the dish sad. One of the rare occasions we have the chance to eat at a restaurant especially for his birthday and it was a sorry disappointment unfortunately... He did mention that the highlight for him was the 1906 beer and that the bread was delicious.

What a great place. Well thought out plan and design. I ordered 5 different tapas all were mouth watery delicious. The paella was outstanding. Every bite had so much seafood. My hubby is really picky about his flan and the flan was by far the best he ever had he ordered another piece to take home. It's definitely going to be a repeat spot for us. Enrique provided 5 star service and although he was our server every employee stopped by our table to bring our food or just take away empty plates. The entire staff are exceptionally hospitable.

First time here - and it’s excellent! Cool vibe and music. Friendly atmosphere and enjoyed the outdoor seating. We love the tapas - baby squid, chorizos and potatoes, ensalada with salmon, steak tips with shrimp, octopus salad, grilled tiger shrimp, empanadas, 1/2 avocado and crab spread and the dessert was Maria cookies soaked in chocolate. All of this paired with a lovely wine. Were we hungry? Heck yeah. Our guy is Sam. So nice, friendly and offered great suggestions. Staff was great and attentive. Check it out, please.

This spot is the best. My son put me on this place years ago. This time we went to watch the Spain vs. Germany game and it was a whole vibe. The food never disappoints. It's always fresh and delicious. Was a great night to be around fellow fans. The only thing that could have made the experience better would have been Spain winning the game.

This place is just amazing, like it is out of a Netflix move, literally a hidden jam. So about the restaurant itself it is in complete residential aria if you not follow your gps you would never say it is there lol They have a valet that will look after your car, pretty much a double park situation. But lest talks about the place it self, great atmosphere very cozy, everyone form the staff did amazing job, welcoming house, pleasant useful and professional buss and wait staff. The food and the drinks were all delicious and came out just on time. This place offer a wide variety of tapas plates all of them extremely well make and delicious.

Good vibe, awesome food, with fun staff! We celebrated a birthday here. The valet service was awesome to start with, save us so much hassle from looking for parking. There are a large selection of tapas and they were all really good. The paella was really good, the rice has so much flavor, with tons of seafood, it was a large portion! Would come back again.

Best quality food and awesome food designs as well. Every plate fills you up and music makes you feel better. And you can also watch tv, great for group eats? 🤔 it’s walk in but if you have a group also make a reservation! First time coming and I ate everything without leaving anything behind 😋 this is my friend meal and I forgot to take mine but still delicious! 😋

The reviews are quite correct, the place is a five star. Service is superb, drinks are well mixed, and the food is just delicious. Room for improvement? I would serve bread warm. I guess I had to pick on something. P.S. I visited a month later and the bread was warm indeed. Kudos to Casa d’Paco team, well done!

Casa d'Paco is a super authentic Spanish restaurant. The atmosphere is super cozy and fitting for this bar restaurant. The seating is limited but that in no way is a negative. I prefer the small location as you get much more personal relationships with the wait staff. The service was excellent along with the meal. This will be my go-to spot when I am in this neighborhood.

Came here for the first time this past weekend and loved it! A small place with dim lighting. Definitely make reservations. Tapas style. Food was so good. The red wine sangria gets a thumbs up. I will definitely come here again. Don't run too late because Newark street parking.

From the fig balsamic reduction in the "rollitos de salmon" to the honey mustard drizzle in the "mini crabcakes de espinaca" to the cheese blend in the "zamburiñas relleñas".... Definitely worth every dollar. I paired my meal with their very own "Paco Luca" tempranillo (full and light). For dessert: tarta de Maria.... made with Maria cookies (if you are Spanish, you know) that was to die for! Waiters were friendly and attentive. Very clean area and atmosphere was upbeat. Will definitely be back ♡

parking is an absolute challenge here unless you opt for their valet (which we were glad they offered as we were tired of circling around and were in at a bit of a time limit). the tapas we got were all very good! i especially enjoyed the Octopus but the rest, such as the croquetas and churrasco, were amazing too. Service was also very friendly and accommodating. We really came in for the seafood paella and when it arrived it was of very generous portions and was ideal for sharing. For some reason it wasnt really the highlight for this visit as we very much enjoyed the tapas that the paella was then overlooked. I guess we were also used to a different consistency with how the rice is cooked (which i could not very well explain here) - the rice is their paella was good but was a bit too wet than what me and my group was used too. Overall a good visit and worth a try.

Soaking wet spring evening in Newark after shopping at the Mills at Jersey Gardens. Stopped in at this local Newark Spanish specialist for Saturday dinner and was very pleased that we did. Our server Steven was born in Spain, then lived in the USA, Italy and Ecuador. Now, at the young age of 18, he already is a seasoned traveler. Steven recommended the house rioja which paired well with our courses. We enjoyed 3 tapas, the crab cakes, the octopus and the shrimp in garlic sauce (details in the photo captions). For our entree, we had the seafood paella which was well prepared with fresh clams, mussels, chorizo, small squid, shrimp, a large prawn and half a lobster. The rice was cooked perfectly, still firm, not soggy. For dessert we enjoyed the creamy cheesecake and tiramisu-like butterscotch pastry. The cortados were also rich and creamy. Definitely worth stopping here for a meal if you're in the neighborhood. Felt like being in Spain without the long flight!

It's definitely worth the stop. Parking can be a little tricky. It's authentic Spanish food. Everything tasted delicious. My only complaint was that the prime rib was overcooked, unfortunately, making it very dry. It's not cooked to order.

We had the most delicious dinner there yesterday! The garlic shrimp was the best we’ve ever had! Also, the flan was incredible! We were told all desserts homemade by the owner’s mom, what could be better!? Valet parking was easy as can be. Can’t wait to go back!!

Loved the "crab avocado"! Perfect for a hot summer day, downed with some chilled cava. The half avocado shell is stuffed with large chunks of crab meat, shrimp, egg whites and mayo. Really delicious and the service is fantastic.

Amazing place, I would have never known it existed until my friend told me about it. While it doesn't have many vegan options, the drinks were amazing. It's a nice atmosphere

It's in a residential neighborhood, in the middle of a block. We almost passed it lol The main house has a bar and a few tables. The outdoor patio has more tables and a better space. Enrique was so attentive and helpful to a couple of newbies to a tapas bar. We ordered 3 tapas and the Paella. Boquerones En Vinagreta - Basque white anchovies in a garlic and parsley vinaigrette - this was good, a bit more sour than I prefer. Almejas Casa D'Paco - Little neck clams stuffed with caramelized onions, sauteed serrano ham and chorizo bits topped with pancetta and broiled - amazingly delicious! Pulpo A Galega - galician style octopus served with paprika and olive oil - this was so tender and delicious, my only issue was the salt crystals were too big, I thought I bit into glass... Lol Paella Casa D'Paco - so so so good! Actually taste the saffron unlike other places. Plenty of seafood. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the music they played. We will be back to try other tapas'!

Food was delicious. I couldn't say more good things about the attentive customer service from the server, Jose. He recommended two dishes and he was on point. It seems like a popular place and I'll be sure to stop by when I get back in town.

Great spot to eat. Came here to celebrate my grandmother's birthday with dinner per one of my aunt's requests. The food was good and had great price ranges. There isn't much parking so the valet is worth it.
