Been going here for over a year now and was good with the food until they changed ppl which mean the cooks must’ve changed also. Food not as good as it was before and I’m only writing this now because today there was a piece of steel wool in my food (veggie chunks). Not going to bother with a back and forth about what I found so I didn’t bother to take it back, just threw it away and said “last time going there”. Always look closely at the food you eat anywhere even home. I don’t think They put it in there on purpose, it’s just the point of it being there which is sickening.

Ordered here today,although not the first time but I DID NOT enjoy the meal. Curry and a lot of Bones, could hardly find any meat in my food. Just a rip off.

Porrage had a after taste like dish detergent or a cleaning product. Been going here for a min please get the old cooks back

I just ordered delivery from Sunsplash Bakery and they were missing a meal from my order. They never called me before the delivery and let me know that they didn't have that item and to give me an opportunity to order something else instead. Instead of its charged full price for every item on my order and they brought me two meals instead of three for me and my family. I tried to call them back several times and spoke to a woman and she told me that someone will call me back in a manager would call me back to rectify the situation. No one ever called me back and on my last attempt to call them they hung up on me. On top of all of that I can barely hear the woman because she adds up music playing in the background and she was telling me that she couldn't hear me. The salmon was good but their customer service is terrible.

Listen I've definitely spent hundreds of dollars in Sunsplash and I'd do it again. When you walk in and the smell hits you if your Caribbean you know it smells like home, if you're not then that's the smell of GOOD EATS. The bake and saltfish, portage, the curry chicken the oxtail The jerk Chicken, the fried chicken, rice and peas ,bun and cheese. The list goes on an on. I could literally rave about them for hours.You owe it to yourself if you're driving through the east orange Orange area. Oh and they have a damn good juice bar too.

The only reason I’m giving a star is because of the Guava Mama smoothie , however I am extremely disappointed. I have been eating from here since 2013 so I am aware of the quality and am a well known advocate for this restaurant. Today I ordered two meals , a curry chicken with rice and peas and cabbage and oxtail with callaloo rice ,pumpkin stew and one dumpling. My boyfriend had the curry chicken and he said it was very bland and not spicy to him. I tasted it as well and even though it was slightly spicy it did not have any other flavor besides the curry. It was not tasty Or inviting for another spoonful. Now my oxtail OMG!!!!!! I could cry, it’s so bland I never would’ve guessed it was from Sunsplash. My heart was set on the mild sweet and spicy authentic taste but what I got wasn’t even desirable. It turned me off completely from the first bite. The pumpkin stew was not savory and sweet and garlicky as I had sampled before. And the boiled dumpling seemed to be old even though I was there at 1:15( lunch time) it was mushy as if it sat in the water overnight. I spent $50 and I could’ve went to somewhere else for better taste had I known. Truly deserve compensation for this unforgettable experience.

Delicious, authentic Caribbean fare and exceptional customer service, that's what you get at Sunsplash. I had the pleasure of tasting their vegetarian stew peas, served with rice n' peas and a side of plaintains. It was absolutely delish, as was the plant-based, peanut punch. No wonder the food finishes fast. I will definitely be back to trying the highly recommended spinach patties, and more from the juicebar.

I had to make an account for this— been eating here for years but this is ridiculous— ordered my usual with cabbage and there was PLASTIC in my food and I’m now struggling with a serious case of the stomach virus. Since COVID this place has gone down hill and continues to go down hill. Given how these businesses are struggling, for your own health, it’s better for you to cook your own food at home.

Every time I try to give this restaurant a chance I get disappointed! I came here for food on December 17th and got the worst service ever! The lady did not greet me whatsoever! Then, I started asking her questions which she didn’t care to answer. She just kept singing and ignoring me! It’s only a matter of time when ppl get tired of bad service! Get new staff before this woman ruin your business!

Whew chile!! I couldn't let Christmas pass by without my traditional Jamaican black cake. My brother recommended I try Sunsplash to get a small one for myself. It's a little pricey ($20 for small) but compared to other places the price was just right for me. I cannot tell you how good this piece of cake was. It was packed with flavor!! Kudos to the baker 👏🏾 🙌🏾 👍🏾 . Look at the richness in the cake!! I'm savoring the taste and eating just lil piece everyday to satisfy my "something sweet" craving 😋

I remember I used to come to this spot when I was younger so I wanted to try their Ital Stew (vegan). When I arrived I found parking nearby. I walked in to asked if they took credit card and the lady said yes. I ordered the ital stew, rice and peas, kale and fried dumpling. I also ordered a pink Ting and water and it came to a little over $12. When I got home I dug in and I liked the fried dumpling. The ital stew wasn't to my liking but I must say they gave me more than enough. I couldn't even finish it all. All in all I had an ok experience.

I love this place. They have a great smoothie selection from energy smoothies to stress relief smoothies! They’re food is also really good. They have vegetarian options as well as meat options all fresh and tasty. I had the chicken soup the other because I had a cold, whatever they put in that souped burned the cold out of me Lolol! I’d Definitely recommend!

Stopped in for dinner The place is cool never a long wait Little congested in the area good food.. here I had the salmon💥 w/ mixed vegetables white rice with heavy curry gravy... The jerk salmon, Caribbean is excellent Jamaican food pictured below.. spicy hot but not over the top I recommend!! I stop here to break monotony, half a dozen+ times and will again!

I had a sudden urge for Jamaican/Caribbean food and I found this place. They have a really good selection of dishes, service was friendly and fast....and the food is really good! They also have a health juice bar that seems to be very popular....I will have to try that next!!

The employees are always upset. The food is not presented in an appetising manner. There are better Jamaican restaurants in the area.

I decided to leave a review because I eat here A LOT, and I don't want to be THAT person that only leaves a review if I'm upset. Why do I eat here so much when there is no shortage of Jamaican restaurants in the neighborhood? 3 reasons: 1. The food is good. 2. They have great customer service. 3. They ALWAYS have good vegetarian options. It's worth noting that while you may find good food at another Jamaican restaurant, you may have to compromise on the customer service or something else. However, there are no other Jamaican restaurants in the area that will give you all three reasons listed above. Also, to be fair, some days the food tastes different than others, which is to be expected if the cook changes or some other variable is in play. However, what I appreciate is that if I'm concerned, they'll let me sample the food before buying. This is my goto spot for Jamaican cuisine.

I love, love, love this eatery. I go here a few times a month, and their food always fills me up. The rewards system works quickly, as I've been able to use it to get a free smoothie or meal, a few times.

I stumbled on this place while out shopping and had a taste for a beef part is. Now it's my go to place for Caribbean food. Portions can be small especially the oxtails but it's still really good. It's cafeteria style service. Parties get the 5 star. Everything is homemade and you can see the chopping and cooking in plain view.

Juice bar attendant is rude and should not be working around anywhere that requires customer service. Other associates are just as rude. Will not be stopping by there ever again. Horrible horrible place.
